The first time I contacted Lin’s Electric to install a temporary service pole, the communication was great, professional and very helpful and passed the inspection on the second attempt. The second time I requested their help, it was for a meter box disconnect ($140) and a safety inspections. The owner Lin, showed up and told me that he wouldn’t know what it would cost but maybe, $10,000. (Not kidding) He said he wouldn’t know until I agreed to a $125 per hour fee plus materials. And it would be at least 5 hours. I agreed. When the guys showed up they said they were there to make a supply list that took 15 mins. They said they needed a meter box, rewire the panel, staple the wires underneath the house, and to finish connecting the ac disconnect in the attic (3 wires). After I paid the $125, for 15 mins of work I received the quote for $4400 for just labor. No materials included. That’s 35 hours at $125 an hour. I declined the proposal and contacted another company. They sent 1 guy for 6 hours to complete the job for less than $1000 including all the materials. It’s ironic that they’re main websites page states “shocked by electrical repair cost?”, when they do not believe in “an honest pay for an honest days worth of work.”

I wanted so badly to he able to leave a 5 star review. Especially after the raving referral I got to use Lin's. It took two phone calls with voicemails with Missy and about three weeks to get them to call me and schedule an estimate. Lin was wonderful. Down to earth, professional, easy to talk to and the quote was priced very fairly. I was excited to set up the job and get started. Now over a month later and several attempted calls to get on the schedule I am STILL WAITING to hear back from them. The last time I called in I said, "Please don't send me to the lady's voicemail. She doesn't call back." So they somehow connected me directly to her for her to answer and say, "Please hold." After 10 minutes on hold I hung up. After meeting Lin I really wanted to spend my money with this company. But after dealing with the scheduling department it looks like Im back on the hunt for another.

HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend LINS for HVAC work. First off the persons who answer the phone are wonderful- they actually take the time hold a conversation. I called other HVAC companies in town and either didn't get a call back or was told they were booked out to November, felt like it was an imposition to talk to me. Not with LINS.. they actually listened and were pleasant on the phone. Our service tech, Scott, was fantastic and very thorough in diagnosing the issue with our furnance. He didn't try to upsell us or tell us we needed a new furnance.. took extra time to find the the issue .. He even had to take apart some of the pvc pipes to find the source of the clog.. birds nest! Everything was put back together with care and high quality work. Definately get your HVAC serviced here and when it comes time to purchase I'll be buying my furance and a/c from LINS.

Lin’s Electric went above and beyond for us!!! We sold our house and had already moved away...like, 1000 miles away! The buyers of our house did a walk-they and found that a whole section of our house was without power. We freaked out since the buyer wouldn’t close until the electric was fixed. I called Lin’s Electric and they were able to send an electrician over to the house the same day we heard the bad news from the buyer (which was also the same day we were supposed to close!). Lin’s Electric fixed the issue on the same day, and they took video evidence of the newly working rooms so we could send it to the buyers! They helped us close ON TIME and worked hard to get us the video before the closing deadline. I cannot thank Lin’s Electric enough for working so diligently to help fix this problem! THANK YOU LIN’S!!!

They lack qualified technicians. I had requested their service to install a 12V Pool light. The owner came over, and provided a quote. He seemed to know what he was talking about. When the day came for them to do the installation, they did send 2 unqualified technicians. They had never done this type of installation before, and had no idea how to do it. They were totally unprepared. --EDIT-- I would be totally ok to provide the rest of the material, if requested. I even asked them through multiple emails what was required, and specifications. The technicians had no idea how to do this installation, and even mentioned that the owner couldn't come because he was not available today(at a funeral). Now besides improper employee training, they show lack of integrity by making excuses. Beware of doing business with them!

We've had to use these guys twice recently, or both experiences were exceptional. When the cold weather kicked in this winter we started turning on the heat and we had a breaker start tripping with frequency. The home is 30 years old and it was simply worn out (I guess). I had expected them to maybe pitch replacing all the breakers, but they didn't. If it's not broken, don't fix it - they said. For my wife's birthday I recently replaced our aging electric range with a gas range. The clock and thermostat require a 110 hookup, but the electric range had a 220 hookup. So, I needed this converted. They again called when they were on their way, arrived and handled our needs quickly and professionally. We intend to keep using Lin's Electric as needs arise.

Lin's Electrical was contracted by the company that installed my a/c unit to complete some work that had to be performed on my breaker panel. However, there was some confusion as to what was to be done. My hats off to Ray and his assistant Elijah for their patience to wait prior to proceeding until I was able to contact a technician with the a/c company to explain to them the actual work order. Ray and Elijah then proceeded to complete the work. During their entire stay they were patient and accorded themselves in a professional manner, explaining what they did and answered all my questions. Even though it turned out to be a relatively small work order, I appreciated how they handled themselves.

My house is older and has had a few additions done previous to my moving in. Some of the work was sub-standard at best. Lin's came out and corrected some of the existing wiring and added some as well. I had to call them back a couple of times and they were always prompt and courteous. There were two technicians that came by today. I did not get one of their names but I believe the lead tech was Brandon. This is the second time he has come to do work for us. They were AWESOME! I was in a meeting at the time but they said they knew exactly what they needed to do so I could stay in my meeting. I will use Lin's for all my electrical needs and recommend them to friends and family. Great job!

Brandon showed up on time (texted that he was on his way first) and replaced my meter can. Ran into a few problems because this is an older house. Solved those and got everything repaired even though the job took a lot longer than planned. Even had to wait out a few downpours in the garage before he could finish. Helped me troubleshoot another electrical issue during that time so I am scheduling him to come back in a few weeks and fix that too! The owner even stopped by to bring extra supplies that were unexpectedly needed due to the new issues that popped up so that Brandon could keep working. Very happy with my experience with them!

Was very impressed with Lin when he not only showed up on time for the estimate, unlike the company I scheduled before him, but he was very forthright and assured me of what I wanted to be done would be. Even after a major problem with the actual job since there was no 220 line ever run to the dryer, Lin and his team put one in which required a lot more than he expected before he started the job. The crew is top notch and very accommodating. I have never worked with an electrician but after this, will never work with another one. Lin has got to be the best out there and beat the other companies estimates as well! Highly recommend!

Good people. Skilled at what they do. I had them perform a safety inspection, tear out some old circuits, and install some new receptacles. John and his crew identified a 220V (hot) wire that was not properly terminated by the previous homeowner's electrician. The wire was tucked away behind some pool equipment and just sort of left there. I hate to think about what might have happened if the safety hazard had not been found. Needless to say, I am furious with my home inspector and the home's previous owner. Do yourself a favor and hire real electricians (such as Lin's Electric) to do your work.

Lin's Electric is a fantastic company with a caring owner and staff. Brendan (or Brandon?) in particular is a very skilled technician who is very professional and clearly cares about the customers he serves and the company he works for. He spoke very highly of the management and the company, and showed genuine care for my home and my family. In my interactions with Lin himself, owner and master electrician, he was very honest and professional. I won't call anyone else for my electrical needs in the future and I recommend that you don't either.

I'm new to the Jax area & I needed some Electrical work done on my home (new Ceiling Fan/Light Install), so I did some research on local Electricians and after reading several reviews, I decided to go with Lin's. Made the call, spoke with a very friendly gal who scheduled my Appt. Set it for 9:00 & the Crew was here at 9:00 ! The guys were courteous, friendly & knowledgeable. And the big thing, I didnt have to Break The Bank for the Service..... very reasonable & competitive. Any other work I need down the road I now know who to call. Thanks !

Update: 6/22/20 - Had to contact them regarding the work previously completed as I felt there were some issues. They sent out technicians the very same day to correct the issues. The issues were corrected without hassle. I will not hesitate to use Lin's electric in the future. The customer service is top notch. We had Lin's Electric out to install electrical outlets on our back screened patio. They workers were in time and pleasant. They completed the project quickly and efficiently. We will absolutely use Lin's Electric in the future.

Everything went well. The only thing I was a bit surprised at was that the electrician did not wear a mask. I realize many people are vaccinated, but we are still in the midst of a pandemic, so I was a little surprised he did not have a mask. Otherwise things went great, he finished in less time than he expected to. Panel replaced in about four hours, rather than the estimate of six hours. The estimate I was given was $1500, It wound up being $1800. Once I see the receipt I will call to find out why so much more

I first used Lin's electric in 2010 when I renovated my entire house and several times since. Each time they have shown up on time and done very good work, made appropriate recommendations, polite, and cleaned up the job site, all at a reasonable price. They have grown since I first started using them and I have come to understand that the owner values quality workmanship at a fair price. If I ever have a "not so good" experience with them, I'm confident that the owner will do all he can to set things right.

The two technicians that were here were kind, professional, and very quick! I really appreciated that they explained the issue in a way that I could understand without being condescending. They fixed the issue quickly and made what had been a stressful situation an easy solution. I also really appreciate that they were able to come out the same day I called. The responsive of the whole company was excellent! I would definitely use this business again in the future and will recommend them to others!

Lins Electic is a great place to work. Are they perfect? No, but if you're looking for the perfect electric company for service or for employment you will never be satisfied because even if you found a perfect company the moment you join with them they would no longer be perfect. I'm just saying . They have treated me very well and although they can be demanding of my time at times I know that my hard work and dedication will be rewarding not only for the company but for me personally as well.

Lin is amazing - I hired him to come out and fix some broken receptacles in the house, then I remembered my pool pump needed his help too - he took it all in stride, let me run to Lowes real quick to get a replacement timer and I was able to get 3 things done in one service call vs. three. GREAT work, great man, tons of experience and very easy to deal with. I'll never use anyone else. You won't either, once you've tried him.

I cannot recommend Lin’s electric enough! They were super polite on the phone when scheduling as well as the technicians. Steve and Darrin did an amazing job installing our new electric panel and running the electric for our pool heater. There was a simple miscommunication and they came back and addressed it with no problems. They also cleaned up after themselves which is a big deal for me—I hate when contractors leave their mess. They will be our go-to for any future electrical projects.

Cost was a lot more than expected based on hourly charge. Took longer than other electricians I have used. I had used them before at my business and cost was reasonable. I asked for a discount since I was a repeat client and planned to use for future work. They said no. They did the work professionally. However charging by the hour I felt they took their time. Best to shop around. $900 to put 3 sensor switches in 3 restrooms and 5 led roof fixture swaps seems really high.

Lin's Electric were timely in their estimate quote and them arriving to complete the job. The Estimate was fair and very easy to understand. Lin's has very reasonable rates and they do honest work up to code. The workers that came out were prompt and polite, and they explained all their work to me and answered any and all questions I had. They were courteous and even swept up when they left! All around I am very pleased with Lin's Electric and I will use them again.

Zac/zach and his assistant did an excellent job fixing the issue on our air handler. Checked it and figured out immediately the issue and have it fixed. He check the entire connections to ensure he didnt missed anything. He is very much knowledgeable with what he is doing. Electricians arrived within the time frame expected. After an explanation of the issue, they both went about determining the cause of the outage. They were both at all times professional, informative and courteous. The work was completed within an hour and a thorough explanation of all repairs was given. Lin's Electric was recommended to us by our plumber, and now I know why. Their crews are skilled, friendly and extremely hard working! Lin's Electric expertise and service are above reproach. It seems the service industry in general has really declined over the last few years, but Lin's didn't get the memo. If you want an electrician who answers the phone or calls back promptly (even during a tropical storm), shows up at the scheduled time and gets the job done at a reasonable price, Lin's is the only choice. I selected them for my kitchen remodeling needs and other electrical work. They were on time and performed their job very professionally. I could not be happier with the workmanship and their knowledge of electrical systems. The crew was expertly led by Zak Rhoder and included Pat Riley, Keith Contessa and another young gentleman named Keith as well. I will be certain to retain them again for all my electrical needs.

They came here as two but after two hours one left with the truck. I have video confirming that and I was there. They did not give my wife a receipt not did they email me a receipt, so we paid for services not provided. If they charged for two, my camera will show one left for three hours . I will be contacting my attorney because they did not provide a receipt or services for two men during the time they said.

Lin’s electric diagnosed a couple electrical issues we were having with strobing lights in our bathroom and a light that would turn itself on in another room. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue and provide us with a solution. Both electricians were friendly and efficient. I was recommended this company by a friend and I would also recommend this company to others based on the service I received.

Rob showed up on time and was very thorough with his work as this was a very tedious job tracing wires to find bad / damaged wiring he was also very professional and communicated the job progress back to the resident as well as managment to keep everyone informed I give him 5 out of 5 stars. I have not received the bill yet so as far as cost and value I cannot comment yet but will update when available

A new, more energy efficient HVAC system was recently installed in my home. That required the old 50 Amp breaker to be replaced. Lin’s Electric was called to remove the old breaker and install a 40 Amp. Lin’s electricians arrived on time and performed the required work professionally and efficiently. I was very pleased and will call on Lin’s Electric for future electrical projects around my house.

I had the unpleasant event of having only 50% power in my apartments for about 3 days and I had to wait until the leasing office opened to get it fixed. Cameron and Keith came and found out that my main breaker had melted to my power box. They fixed my electric in less than 30 mins. They were extremely friendly and courteous. I would recommend them to all my friends. Great job guys.

I've used Lin's for about 6 years now -- everything from a whole house electrical update and remodeling a 1968 home to laying electrical to a boat dock and front entrance gate. They are 100% reliable, honest, fair and extremely responsive. My dock electrical was damaged by Ian and I saw the damage on Saturday. I sent an email on Saturday and a crew was here Monday at 9 a.m. Incredible!

I am posting this because 3 days ago I was side-swiped by a Lin's Electric van. I caught it all on my GoPro. I was on a bicycle and the van never stopped. It was a hit and run. I have tried getting in contact with them and there was no response. I wanted a simple apology yet instead I am now going to be forced to turn over the evidence to JSO tomorrow.

Excellent service! On time, very friendly, responsive and accommodating to my needs, and their work was great. They even cleaned up nicely afterwards as well. While I could not get everything done that I wanted to, it was outside of their control to complete for me. I would definitely look to them again for any future electrical needs!!

I had a wall removed and they removed an outlet and a 2-way switch. They changed the remaining switch to 1-way. The changed an old fan switch to a new switch. They installed an outdoor light on a tall carport. Electrician was on time, courteous, showed and explained his work as needed, and cleaned up when finished. Price was fair.

Lin's went above and beyond when taking my service call for a burned up breaker. They were very responsive knowing that the burned up breaker rendered the AC unusable in this heat, and were able to get AC working again until the panel can be replaced. Great service, reasonable prices, highly professional - recommend Lin's highly.

When dealing with an experienced professional, I expect them to provide a good estimate so my customers can make informed decisions. This was not the case with Lin Electric. Estimate was almost half the actual cost. I believe they should know better. Therefore and Unfortunately I cannot recommend their services again.

Very professional, courteous and skilled. They did a fantastic job installing my ceiling fans. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because all three men came in with muddy shoes and left dried mud all over my floors and carpet. I will definitely call again but will ask that they wear shoe covers.

The two technicians were very friendly and able to do two of the three tasks very quickly. The bathroom exhaust fan installation was a bit challenging for them. The sheet rock repair is completed and fan reinstalled. I am very satisfied with the resolution and outcome.

Unhappy. Took over an hour to figure out where to put refrigerator outlet. Then put near floor 2 feet from where I indicated. Hopefully it will work out without calling to have it redone correctly.
