Went there as a recommendation from a friend . Probably 45 mins while being there after my red bull was finished (I don’t drink ) I was standing by the wall enjoying the music and periodically checking my phone as my friends back home kept checking on me .A bouncer/security guard then came over to me and asked if everything was okay ,I replied yes , he asked if I’m enjoying myself ,I said yes. He then asked if I was waiting for someone ,I told him no . He then told me that I can’t stay since I don’t have a drink in my hand . I’ve traveled to well over 75 countries and I have never been this humiliated in my life ,ever . I guess next time I decide to go out I should go with a group of people as a party of 1 is not welcomed in some establishments. I will make sure that my friends that will be visiting South Africa stand very clear from that establishment .

Best queer party place in Joburg. Love the vibe at Liquid Blue. I'm living in Munich, Germany, and visited Joburg for a couple of weeks. If you are looking for a bar, head to Bertrands in Maboneng. If you are looking for a place to party, go to Liquid Blue. Waiters are nice, never been overcharged, and people are super friendly and amazing. There was actually only one more "white" person there one time I went but I felt very much at home. The nice thing about being gay is that you can find your tribe everywhere in the world :) You probably should not take out your phone without being aware of your surroundings as some reviews say here. But that's the same as in most places in Joburg. This being said people did use their phones and nobody got snatched those times I was there.

Worst place to ever have a good time. You can’t take your phone out without being targeted and it getting swiped from your pockets. Would never suggest anyone you ever visit this club if you don’t want to become a target of your phone going swiped from your person. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Verkar vara ett av de populäraste uteställena i Melville. HBTQ-vänlig nattklubb med i mitt tycke alltför hög volym. Det var tyvärr nästan inte möjligt att föra ett vanligt samtal men det kanske inte heller är meningen här. Om man däremot vill dansa är stället antagligen perfekt.

I got there at 7:30 and the club was empty. People started showing up at 11 and the club was full in a minute :)...we had a very good time with my friends. The bathrooms were not well maintained throughout the night (sticky floors, no toilet paper)....otherwise great vibe :)

It gets really crowded, but who can blame people? This place has an amazing atmosphere! The staff is awesome, and I absolutely love the concept.

Its okay. Its gets really packed and the airconditioner is not able to handle it. But if your a looking for a queer friendly in Melville this is your best bet. The Dj plays really good music. The vibe is unmatched

I've always had the best times here!!! Just be aware of being pick pocketed, went there this past Saturday night and had my phone taken out of my handbag for the second time at the same place.

they dont even deserve a star really, the prices the waiter tells you and what you get when the bill comes totally different. trash service from waiters oh not to mention the rude bouncers

Do they even deserve this single star, how did the service from 100 to -50. its suppose to be a bar but they play Jukebox in 2021 really cant they afford a cheap DJ or up coming one's.

Always get gripped and groped but drunk men who can’t take no for an answer. Nothing is done by staff to help or prevent this. They also allow the club to go way over maximum capacity.
