Disappointed. I stopped in for dinner while visiting UW. I love Thai food, and I ordered Tom Yum soup with shrimp. The soup tasted like salty metal, and it was otherwise flavorless and a dark color. After bringing the soup, the server started talking to the family beside me for a full 20 minutes and paid no attention to me or any of the other customers. She never budged from her conversation, and she didn't even look around. Initially, I was waiting for her to return so I could order something else, but she didn't move. I could see the kitchen staff looking at her and I made eye contact with them - it seemed like they noticed but no one said anything. I finally walked up to the register - there was a person helping a customer with a takeout order and I waited. The cashier walked away from the register and didn't offer to help me. I stood there for at least 5 more minutes and then the server finally came to the register. I paid and left hungry. I will not eat here again. There are so many other wonderful options nearby.

TRY LITTLE THAI. PERIOD. TRY IT. Special, sacred, and family owned. Little Thai is a U-district staple and the most popular Thai food place in the area; if you don’t know then you’re out of the loop. This amazing place located downstairs from street level transports you to a special place meant for juicy conversation, brainstorming, academics, and a positive connection with this family-owned establishment. Need to feel seen and appreciated in Seattle? This is the place! Nestle yourself into one of their vibe-lit booths and reflect on the pleasures of life. This is somewhere you can find UW football players, students in need of comfort, first dates, and so many more fruitful people of Seattle (and BEYOND!!). If you’re intelligent , you’ll immediately order the fried spring rolls and finish off your meal with the black sticky rice pudding. Make a forever connection at this restaurant and only experience the most detailed and comforting experience. Delicious chickens satay, desserts, noodle dishes, and curry. Probably everything you were longing for!

My review is only on the food. Because I was too sick this evening to cook for myself or go out, I used Uber eats to order phad see ew and red curry. 1. The food came suspiciously fast. I ordered it at 9:18, it was here at 9:31. This leads me to believe their food is prepared hours, maybe days before anyone orders it, then reheated. 2. Red curry is normally my favorite food. No matter what restaurant I've had it at (before little Thai) I'd savor it till the very last morsel. But this curry was horrible. It is so bland and watery I can't eat it. The vegetables in their curry make no sense. Why would you put zucchini and asparagus in Thai food? Where are the classic bamboo shoots and peppers? Thank goodness the phad see ew was tolerable. It was bland, but that's better than starving. I'm never eating Little Thai again. Food lovers, don't waste your money here. Go to Jai Thai. Restaurant owner of Little Thai, please taste the food you are serving people.

Little Thai is located in Udistrict and is a go to place for many students at UW. The restaurant is located in basement and is a nice place gran lunch. They have vegetarian friendly options. Their stick mango rice are great, just perfect amount of sweet!

Great place for Thai food in U District. While the degree of spiciness definitely can vary from dish to dish (eg I've had medium level spicy Pad Thai that tasted like nothing compared to the medium level spicy Panang Curry). Still, it has large portions for a good price and great vegetarian options. The space is neat and great to dine in with multiple people.

Since it started off as a vegatarian source for Thai food, their vegatarian options are naturally great.

I really like the location, it's tucked away so it's usually not busy. The workers are really nice and I have good service. The food is alright, I'm biased because I like any Thai food, but don't order a 5 star and expect authentic spiciness. I'm not a fan of their appetizers, they seem pre made or not worth the price. Especially their crab delight, that's a must have every time I go eat Thai anywhere, but here it has a lot of cream cheese and not enough crab. Their main dishes are really good, portions are pretty large.

Bustling place in the U District with amazing food! My husband and I both ate to being full and had dessert for less than $30 - amazing in Seattle! This is our favorite Thai place in town, hubs has been coming here since his college days in the 2010’s. The service is good for how busy they are, and the servers/wait staff are friendly. Don’t listen to the haters this restaurant is bomb!

This place was pretty decent, not the best Thai food but not terrible either. Staff was friendly, easy to order, and it was clean. We had Panang, which was amazing, yellow curry fried rice which was good, and spicy basil noodles which was just okay. Spice levels are amazing 1-3, we had a 2 and it wasn't very spicy. Overall worth coming here if you want Thai

The That spiced corn patties (appetizers) were delicious, as was my curry ($1 extra for rice with dinners.) I'm not sure of the name of the dish my partner had (chopped chicken, basil, veggies and an egg), but it was also delicious. We had plenty of food, so we have enough to take some home for tomorrow's lunch as well. This was the first time in the area for me, and the fantastic smells coming from this place as we walked by earlier in the day convinced us to stop in for dinner.

  • Patrick Lo

My favorite Thai place around UW. Fast and friendly service. They usually don't have a wait and food is out within 10 min. Food is very delicious and there is a decent variety. Some choose the lunch special, but I usually just order off the menu. They seem to have lots of orders for delivery so it is more popular than it appears in restaurant. The restaurant itself is a bit hole-in-the-wall down in the basement of the building it occupies. Been going there for years.

  • Tommy Mansfield

This was the BEST Thai food I’ve ever had! The service was excellent and the the staff was so kind. All of the dishes were so flavorful and the food was really authentic. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!! The Tom Kha soup and mango sticky rice were especially delicious

Used to eat here all the time until the service really started to go downhill. Went in for lunch while 8 months pregnant. Took almost 10 minutes for them to seat me (restaurant almost empty). The folks who came in after me were seated immediately. Thier order was taken soon after. I sat there for another 10 min waiting for my order to be taken, then gave up and walked out just as the order was brought out for the other table. Won't EVER go back.

  • Nicholas Smith

It was alright. Got the hot/spicy but it wasn't that hot. Only place I've been to that adds rice or noodles to Swimming Rama, but then if you want rice with your curry you have to pay extra for it... make it make sense.

I love thai food so I was excited to try this place. Ordered takeout: tofu panang curry and corn patties. Food came out in under 5 minutes and there were several orders ahead of me. Didn't give me a good vibe that it was fresh. The curry was below average, I asked for medium spicy but got a bland mild. Corn patties saved the meal, interesting dish with tasty sauce. Overall not impressed, panda express would have been a better choice.

  • Larissa Scordato

We just ordered dinner from this place through caviar - I have no idea how it has four stars. It was three minutes between them preparing the food and it being picked up for delivery - huge red flag. The food was tasteless, nothing was crispy, the spring rolls were clearly microwaved, and the corn fritters were pasty inside. Pad Thai has zero flavor, and the curry was literal paste mixed with water. Don’t waste your money.

  • Daniel Revier

I have instantly fallen in love with this place. Not only is the food amazing, but it's also very affordable on a student budget. If I could eat the green curry (spice level 3 ) with fried tofu every day I might. I also always love to get the Thai iced coffee which is perfectly sweet and complements the spice of the curry. 10/10 I will go out of my way to get this Thai food and always leave super happy

  • Juanita Juchau

This was the worst pad se ew. The rice noodles were in giant chunks all stuck together, dry in the center, soggy on the outside. The beef was so overcooked I couldnt even chew it. It had so much cabbage in it (not listed in the description for what its worth) it was all I could taste. No onion or garlic or spice. Just blobby noodles, dry beef and cabbage with exactly 4 pieces of overcooked broccoli. Yuck

  • Edward O'Beirne

Crazy fast and attentive service. Panang curry was extremely good. Not mind blowing but very, very solid. Just a couple of beads of forehead sweat on the 3/3 spicy setting. Just the way I like it. Calamari-esque appetizer was pretty good. Best of all it was alarmingly cheap. $35 for app entree and 3 beers. Even better: sensible portion sizes. Left without leftovers feeling just right.

  • Arihan Jalan

The food was great when I first visited the place a year back, but based on multiple recent visits- I can only confirm the food, is infact, prepared by Chef Elmicrowave. The food comes out in a minute if the order being placed- and is inconsistently warm. That, and the flavor is gone downhill. It's been a few hours since I've finished eating here and I all but feel like throwing up.

  • Scott Newman

This place is a little gem. It's a little hidden inside an old house structure, but it's roomy and cozy inside. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The service was fantastic, and we had our food within about 7 minutes of ordering. The portions were large and each dish tasted great! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a comfy place to eat great tasting Thai food!!

  • Sophie Amity Debs

My favorite Thai place in Udistrict! Love this place. I live nearby and am always bringing new people here. I get the crab fried rice to share with the table everytime because everyone needs to try it. The panang and yellow curries are super yummy as well as their market fried fish. Classic Thai desserts like mango with sticky rice and pumpkin custard were delicious as well.

  • Tristan Amer

No compassion or empathy with their customer service and the food was not good. It was pre-made and microwaved within a minute of the order being placed. Lastly, the broccoli tasted like seafood after specifying no seafood/ shrimp in the order.

In the past I've liked their combo plate of Thai curry and pad Thai - quantity and taste-wise . However, I ordered their drunken noodle today and it was soaked in oil and was quite a small portion size. Disappointed! I attached a photo of the oil present even *after* eating the noodles.

I've been going to Little Thai for several years and have never been disappointed by a dish. They have the best drunken noodle I have ever had (get this dish at least once if you go!), though the pad thai and garlic rice are also just as good. Fast service, and kind servers. Sometimes the spice levels vary, but the food has always been great.

I’m so happy I found Little Thai Restaurant! This is the 4th Thai place I tried on University Ave and the most authentic by far. The prices are very reasonable. Pictured is “larb gai” minced chicken salad and sticky rice— I recommend this dish for people who are adventurous and like Southeast Asian flavors like lime and lemongrass.

I've been going to this restaurant regularly for about a year now, and it may not be a world class place but it is a place where the food and service is excellent, as well as affordable for college students. Sweet little shop, though parking was tough to find. We had the Tom Yum soup and corn fritters, both delicious! We took 2 small children and they were well entertained by the fish tank in the center of the restaurant. (And they both liked the mild massaman curry.) We'll definitely go again.

This is my favorite Thai place in Seattle and the local area I think. I have not had a dish they made that was no perfect. Pad Thai is amazing. I know this is a short review, but this place is worth dealing with the parking and the small booth seats in the back. Deep flavors and filling.

Went to see the cherry blossom trees at Washington university. My son told me there was this Thai restaurant with the best food, he said because it’s by the college the prices are very affordable. Best Pad Thai I’ve e ever had and yes, the price is a lot less than in the city.

Solid choice for dinner or lunch. As a vegetarian I appreciated the large amount of choices that were available for me to pick from. I ended up getting a pad thai with tofu and it was really good! service was quick. cozy atmosphere and affordable prices. would recommend.

My favorite Thai restaurant on the Ave. Everything is good, and they have an excellent selection of dishes. Far more spacious than Thai Tom, groups can be seated at tables with little effort. I'm particularly fond of the salads and seafood dishes.

  • Rahul Gupta

The waitress took incorrect order, they didn't understand English and chose to assume an incorrect dish. They admitted this happened and yet they denied giving us the actual dish in replacement. Even the food was flavor less and lacked spiciness.

  • Jimmer Sivertsen

I had the Garlic Basil with chicken, 3 stars and my companion had the pad see ew, 3 stars. Mine had less heat, tasted great. The pad see ew was fair. Thai iced teas were ok, but probably wouldn't order again. Service was fast at 7pm. Very homey.

My girlfriend and I go here all the time and it's great. If you are unsure how spicy you want your food, I recommend to order the lowest spice and then ask for spicy sauce or seasonings on the side once the food is at your table.

We had the shrimp pad thai and shrimp paste fried rice with beef for lunch. The portions were perfect for the two of us, and the prices were good. The pad thai had a lot of flavor and the beef was seasoned really well too.

  • Joshua Sera

Good portions, delivered quickly, but the pad see iew was bland. It just tasted bitter and spicy, no salty or sweet flavors at all. The fried spring rolls and the cha Thai were good though, which balances out the rating.
