The Lochwood Branch Library is located in northeast Dallas, near White Rock. The closest major intersection is Garland and Jupiter Rd. It’s tucked away a couple of streets in on Lochwood Blvd.; this relative isolation helps give it a quiet, neighborly feel. Until you come close to the building. It looks like, well, I guess a metal and brick square tube. If that sounds strange wait till you see it yourself. The vestibule has a very high ceiling, lots of light and glass and - mmm - a new smell to it. Big meeting rooms and kids buzzing around. As much as I love a quiet library all the activity contributed to a comfortable, friendly feeling which I enjoyed. The main room is huge with crisp lines, low comfortably spaced shelves and lots of books, I’m happy to report. There’s also a good offering of DVDs, CDs and Audiobooks. You can log onto one of twenty PCs which are all arranged in one open section. Not much privacy but it goes with the library’s open, spacious theme. This place is really gorgeous and I’d recommend it to anyone to admire the architecture, the space, and of course enjoy all the books!

I love this beautiful library! It is well organized, spacious, and has many categories in books, and the checking out process is very professional. The staff are professional as well very pleasant and extremely helpful with information on how to use your card, on-line services offered though the Dallas Public Library, as well as book holds, not only did they have amazing literature, books, computers, WiFi which had a very strong connection with laptop and my Ipad, they also carried alot of new titles in books as well as old titles in books if needed. I highly recommend this library whether you are homeschooling your child, reading about web hosting, reading about how to become a graphic designer, mystery, for fun, or what ever your needs are this is the place to be. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

This is a wonderful library. The librarians and staff are very personable, patient, knowledgable, and helpful. There are many free wonderful activities and crafts for children. They even have Legos and awesome floor puzzles for the kids to put together while they are visiting the library! The building is lovely and spacious with comfortable furniture and tables. I am very thankful for this library.

The library has a decent collection. The five start rating I give is because of the other things that factor in such as a great staff who are always ready to help, who never nag you if you want to stay and rest while reading a book , you can definitely feel the service to the PUBLIC here. The building is always clean and very quiet . Every one in Casa View loves this library starting with me.

Not a library……. More like a daycare! For the past few times i have visited to work on stuff they always have kid running around screaming and being loud…. What happened to being quiet in a library This place feels like a daycare and will always be kids running around screaming. Don’t recommend if you are trying to find a quiet place to work or use the library in general.

How wonderful! I took my two children there for one of there free reading, dancing and singing classes. The teacher was GREAT! we will be coming to this location every Tuesday for this. Nice, clean, friendly environment. I truly enjoyed myself and so did my kids!

The people here are really kind, based on the interactions we had! They let you print off 50 pages for free. I was glad to be able to print off the forms i needed to. The sweet people made me want to come back in the future :)

A Warm and so friendly environment, it is. When ever I go there, whether to return or get reserved materials, I want to stay more between the shelves. I would like to express my appreciation to everyone there; thank you.

Ghetto? Anyone describing a lending library as "a little ghetto," may benefit from reading how to increase their vocabulary. This is 2015 not 1944. You do not have any idea what a ghetto is except how it is spelled.

I have been living in this neighborhood for over 25+ years and this library by far is the best in Dallas and I have to say the staff there have been so kind and helpful I can't thank them enough!!!

I went here to vote, as this is one of the places assigned for early voting! Got in and out in 15 minutes! No lines at all at 4 pm.
