Very mixed experience. The server was very attentive and friendly. It took forever to get our entrees. maybe 45 minutes after the appetizers. My Walleye entree was good but my husband's lamb chops were horrible. First, he ordered medium rare and they were raw. He sent it back to be cooked more and they came back only barely more cooked. They were completely inedible. So, now it's over an hour since the appetizer and it would be much too long to wait for anything else to be made. The server admitted that the lamb chops are frozen up until they are cooked so it's nearly impossible to get them right or in a reasonable period of time. This is absurd to have an item on the menu that cannot be cooked correctly. Also, the Guiness wasn't great - we expected great Guiness at a British pub. The atmosphere is rated only 3 because although the decor is nice, the stool seat (at the bar) was torn down to the filling and the music was Miami Beach - what we expected at a dark pub environment.

We decided to go out here for drinks on Sat night. Great selection of beer from their self serve fridge and good selection of gins too. There was a live musician that was good if a tad loud. Made conversation an excersice in seeing whose voice could last the longest while shouting. I'm giving it 3 stars because while the service was good at first, our waiter was no where to be found when it came time to pay and we had to go hunt her down after waiting a good 15 mins. It was about that time that the band decided to switch out for a DJ that was all over the place in addition to being even louder, as if volume would do anything to help the fact he just forced two completely different songs together that should have never followed one another, like for instance bohemian Rhapsody into the theme of fresh prince.

We ordered a burger and fish. Our experience confirmed what many other reviewers said. Lots of tiny bones all over the fish. You couldn't comfortably have a bite without being scared of getting some bones trapped in your throat. Both burger and fish were burnt on one side (looked like the cook left the kitchen for too long). Our dishes were half uneaten and the waiter still didn't bother to ask if there are any problems. And the atmosphere .... oh gosh. Many highly intoxicated lads. We saw several inappropriate drunkard behaviors but it seemed like it's a routine for this place (since the waiters were approving of it if not participating). The music was extremely loud. The clientale is young drunk care free hipster type. Not a place to dine or enjoy a drink with company.

Stunning pub in the heart of Quebec City with a very impressive selection of beer. My coworkers and I came here last year and returned this year as we all had a great experience. Unfortunately, my fish and chips were burnt to a crisp, as close to black as you can get with deep-fried food. Our server disappeared after dropping the food off; I had enough time to eat the entire plate of fries while waiting for her to check on us. I would definitely not recommend the food. My coworker had the same issue with his fish, and another coworker ordered a steak that was covered in a sauce he really did not like as well.

The pub is a nice spot to have a beer on tap, but start ordering anything else and you'll be sure to bust your night out budget after a couple of drinks. Everything in their craft beer fridge is very expensive (we're talking products that you can get in almost any gas station for a third of the price). Their signature martinis go for 16$ for about 3 ounces of liquid. One time, my girlfriend accidentally spilled one of those and they charged her for another one. So, eventhough the place is fun to hang out at, I can't possibly recommend a bar so concerned with milking so much out of their costumers.

This restaurant is great. I had the London Double Smashburger, which was so good. We also came again for breakfast because it was near where we're staying and the breakfast was good as well. I like that you can create your own breakfast. They also have a huge selection of craft beer; you can walk into a large cooler and select a can from over 50 different selections of local beer to enjoy at the restaurant. The wait staff were very attentive and we had no problem getting a table on the outside patio, though we did go at off mealtimes, so I can't speak for how busy they get during the dinner rush.

Highly recommend Rosealee get a pay raise- the restaurant was short staff so her and another female staff executed all positions with composure, effectively, helpful, accommodating, patience: hostesses, server, expeditor of the food, clean tables and took the payment for the meals. We enjoyed our meals: humus, Brie, French Onion soup, hamburger, Elizabeth dessert(caramelized bourbon, coconut, chocolate cake with caramel sauce) and chilled Guinness. Quick, effective service and quality food

Dear Manager, So that you can determine who your hostess was; today, Tuesday September 28 at approximately 6 30, your hostess was impatient and terribly rude to us because we did not speak and understand her french. She said "You are in Quebec, we speak french here". We chose not to stay because of this insult, and other rude remarks she made, and when I said we were leaving she said "We dont have room for you here", which was a further insult. As a direct result of her distaste for English speaking people, you have lost our business, our referrals, and rating.

Came across this place while walking in Québec city around 10 PM in search for food. They had a live music performance which was really good! The staff is really pleasant (like everywhere throughout Québec). Our waitress was excellent and gave us perfect suggestions. We tried their Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala (both come with a side of raita, rice/salad and naan. They have a good selection of cocktails as well. For desserts, I would definitely recommend their Cheesecake Donut and Molten Chocolate cake.

Went there to celebrate a birthday on a Boxing Day. The place was half empty but by the time we left, there were many people there. They have a nice variety of beers in the fridge and my Irish coffee was tasty as well. Fish and chips was a bit overcooked but the appetizers, the burger and a dessert were delicious. Overall, the place might be a bit pricey but we enjoyed our time there. It's definitely worth visiting at least once.

We had an excellent experience at London Jack! We were served by Sabrina who was very friendly and had great recommendations. The drinks were amazing (herbal mule and british smash) and we both agreed the nachos were the best we’ve ever had! A must visit when you’re in Quebec City. We wish we had one in Montreal!

We really enjoyed our last evening in Quebec having drinks and dinner at London Jack. The cocktails were excellent, especially my Gimlet, and the beer selection was notable. As for food, the Indian choices were fantastic, flavourcwas great, quantities generous and looked good as well as being very tasty. Our server was friendly and made good suggestions as well.

Great atmosphere, very kind service, the waitress was very patient and nice to my anglophone boyfriend as he is still practicing his French! The food was good, only loses a star because it took a long time to come out (45min+) but we had a great night and some patrons even bought drinks for the whole restaurant! Very lively crowd. We really enjoyed it. First time I’ve ever taken an elevator to use the washroom!

  • Ezmie Bouchard

Awesome, well-put-together restaurant in downtown Québec City serving UK staples. Half of the menu is fish n chips, where you have a choice of type of fish, type of batter, type of fries and type of sauce. The service was lightning fast (perhaps too fast?) and very friendly. We went on a Saturday evening, there was a live music performer playing songs by the Beatles, Elton John and David Bowie.

  • Chantel Little

3 of us went in tonight for a drink on our last night in QC. They put us up at the bar in seats so close together we had to get in one by one and others had to move for us. There were tables available but they still put us there. 3 bartenders working and no one acknowledged us once. We made eye contact and no one looked our way. After 5 minutes we left because we were so uncomfortable.

Absolutely horrible experience , if there was an option for half a star i wouldn't hesitate. The live music was unbearably loud and the choice was painful. The waitress was nice but she forgot an appetizer. The fish was very ordinary, the chips were burnt and my beer was flat. I definitely won't return. Too bad, on the paper the menu looked real great. Big disappointment

  • Bryant Conger

Great concept and a very cool space. There’s a great selection of local and international gins, around 20 beers on tap, and a walk-in beer cooler from which you can select one of maybe 2-300 mostly local brews. The scotch egg was excellent, but that was the only food we tried (had dinner reservations later). Good luck, guys - I think you’ve got a winner.

Overhyped and overpriced for what it is, better options are available in the area. Decor is nice and funky elevator to take to access the bathroom. As others indicated, the singer is also loud and it can be unpleasant if you're eating with company and trying to talk.

Terrible service... Ordered Stella got something totally different ... After complaining they were ok bringing me Stella just to bring me another unknown beer ... I got charged for both even though I didn't order what they brought me nor drank it... Not to mention burned burgers... Stay away.. P.S. London Jack yet they don't have menu in English...

  • Norah norah

The music was loud so it was hard to talk, but the performers were very amazing, especially the woman with purple hair. I don’t think there is anything special about the food, maybe English food is just not that delicious. The waitress was very nice and patient.

We had a great breakfast here. A day later, we went back for drinks around 8pm which was a Sunday evening. We were told a party of 20 plus was coming in and to come back in about 30 minutes and they "may" have space available. Very weird. Felt we were being discriminated against and wanted 20+ year olds. Owner should see this.

  • Chris Todorov

Fillet means no bones and the walleye is not walleye. Kudos to server for replacing it with a different fish (cod). That was fired in old oil, and the fries were soggy and tasted bitter/sour, again an indication of old frying oil. Even as a pub, don't know know this place is rated as high as it is. Not recommended.

  • Marie-Hélène Couette

Great food, generous portions and nice atmosphere. There is often live music, and they have tons of drinks. You can even chose your own microbrewery beer from the walk-in fridge! The staff is nice and the place is overall comfortable. I would definitely go back both for food or just a drink!

Today was my husband birthday and we ordered food from this restaurant, the fish and ships are ok, but the cod was terrible with a burned taste, the pea pure terrible, and the vegetables like this: 2 carrots, 2 asparagus, 2 zucchini slices. Deception. Stale. High price for what we get.

  • Nat Foster

Lots of fun and great food. We sat upstairs and had a great view of the wholw place. All of the staff are excellent and always very friendly plus it's obvious that they make a fantastic team. Music was great as well from the singer. Bravo, we'll be back very soon!

  • E-K Matteau

Visited twice. While the decor is definitely nice, the quality of the food could be better. We constantly get the feeling we are annoying the staff. With all the options nearby, which have better food AND are cheaper, I do not see myself returning again.

Don’t ever do a take out with chicken tikka Masala. They don’t even have proper container for a gravy based meal. It was packed in a cardboard box where the food was leaking. I felt like I was eating a piece of cardboard from the box.
