I used to like this store. But yesterday, the staff was extremely rude. The guys at the meat counters had major attitudes. I needed 4 different types of meat bagged up for a barbecue. For whatever reason, that made 2 of them upset. I guess I had the wrong skin color. Not knowing that I knew a little Spanish, one guy kept yelling “mucho trabajo”, which I found funny, because I assumed helping a customer was part of his job description. I was extremely polite & kept a smile on my face even though I knew he was being rude. When he was finished, I took my items & told him thank you. As I walked away, he called me a “pinche cabrón." I didn’t understand why he was so upset considering the fact that he was doing what he’s paid to do. I was actually pretty shocked at their behavior. Then when I got to the register, the cashier didn’t say a word to me. Normally, they are pretty polite. She just rang up the items & waited for the payment. Then she stood there and waited for me to bag my own items. I’ve never had to bag my own groceries at this store. I didn’t mind doing it, I just didn’t understand why I had to. I didn’t see any other customers bagging their own groceries, so it seemed odd to me. Either way, I don’t think I’ll be going back to this location. It’s really upsetting, because I’d actually liked shopping here. Hopefully the staff can get it together in the future…..

On balance, we would give this a miss. Once we found our way into the store (we tried a couple of doors that were locked), we found there was a good selection of some goods; in particular, produce, tortillas, Mexican-style baked goods, and meat (we are vegetarian, so just walked quickly through this area). The produce was very good and reasonably priced. We had hoped to grab some food for lunch, but did not find the cafeteria vegetarian friendly at all. In fact, we did not really find the people working in the store especially friendly. Or helpful. Shortly after we arrived one of us looked for the washroom and finally asked for help. He needed an escort to a pin-code locked door which opened into a hallway with two bathroom doors. One had a womens sign, the other had no sign. Neither had a door knob. The mens rooms smelled strongly of urine. There was plenty of graffiti on the walls. It was not really clean - we wondered what it would have looked like if it had not been behind a locked door! When we arrived at the checkout, the other of us asked to use the washroom. The cashier said she would have to finds someone to let her in. The next two employees she asked were unable or unwilling to help. One said he did not have a key. To the number pad. So, a good place for salsas, produce and tortillas (and, maybe, meat), but not an especially enjoyable shopping experience.

The food here is amazing! I love the products this store has and this store has become my supermarket of choice! I love the hot food items they sell as well as home made tortillas and chips as well as great stock of Mexican produce and products. Great selection of cheese and dairy and their jalapeños always look amazing. I love their pastries as well. The cookies with sprinkles on top are the best! They also make great cakes and I’m addicted to their rice! A few downsides: Recently when I go I look at the dates of the tortillas and chips they have out for sale and some are dated September 11th! And other very old dates. If they don’t sell fresh then get rid of it! I don’t want to buy two three months old stuff! The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. If you are disabled or someone who needs to use the restroom often you’re SOL. They really need to address this. I wish they had an easier procedure for ordering food from the hot bar. They have great food but if you aren’t a native Spanish speaker you can find yourself in a difficult situation. It’s not a bad thing or something to keep you from going but maybe they should have a different menu board so you can just point to a number

Very upsetting the treatment that i received from Luis in the fish section. I've been a customer over 25 years. Ive gone with luis to get a fish twice the past week. The first time around I asked him if tbere was fish. He was like, you need to get in line. (Everyone had ordered) I simply asked if there was fish left. He just turned around. (I waited my turn) when it was my turn he was like there is no fish. After 16 min! This time he tried to do the same thing. I asked him his name. He totally ignored me and gave me his back. I went to get a manager..that was the only way I' was able get help. The dude was so rude unnecessarily. He aldo did it to other customersthe first round. I never leave reviews. But honestly his behavior not only me but with other customers very disgusting. If he doesn't have customerservice skills with customers he should not .be working there.

Do not eat at their new restaurant. We were told all they had were tacos. We were asked if we wanted soda and she walked away not asking what we would like and brought us all cokes. When asking for a refill we were given cans of coke. 5 ppl and charged for 10 drinks. Apparently no free refills. Not only did we not get all the tacos we ordered but we were charged for them and they insisted that we got them all. Refused to take off the extra 12. No menu, plastic forks and napkins off the shelf. Tacos were good, but when the bill came I was shocked. Mini tortilla shells with just meat and they charged us 2.50 a taco. We ordered 20, paid for 29. We should have asked for prices first I guess. Our bill was 79 and change. Not even a side. Horrible service as well.

Not just a grocery but a great spot for a hot meal. If you're unfamiliar with the environment don't let that keep you away. While the employees aren't quite "friendly" they're what I sometimes prefer, apathetic. Don't worry about a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish, just get some food! The meat departmemt is also great. However, they absolutely, completely need to get more cashiers going. It's common to have a family of three or four come in and load a shopping cart to full. You get in line with some cotija and some veggies in your hand but you've got three full shopping carts in front of you and the other cashier does too. This feeling sucks. I've set stuff on a shelf and left because of this.

I went in today to get lunch. When I got to pay for my food the machine was not taking my credit card. We went through two machines. Same problem and I asked myself. Has there ever clean those machines so they can work properly?. Unfortunately Rosalinda AK manager was really rude not even helping on the situation. She made her even worse. She mentioned this credit card seems to be stolen. AK Rosalinda the manager was starting to get frustrated what I was telling her about cleaning the machines. I will never come to this ranch market ever. Not with the kind of attitude people have here. I just wanted have lunch and be my way out. Sincerely, your customer

We bought some marinated chicken drum sticks and came home and emediaty froze them and when we thawed them and cooked them they smelled rotten this is the second or third time this has happened it previously happened with some corn dogs we opened them to cook some and they were rotten and moldy as well I heard from ma previous employee's that there marinated meat is old meat that they don't sell that they marinate to mask the smell if it's true who knows but this has been my experience lately so will be doing out shopping for groceries at another store even tho we like it here because it's close to our home and convenient

As a Mexican American this store has gone downhill. Used to be a family place we loved. But today, I speak both English and Spanish and still get discriminated. As a woman I literally got pushed aside as 4 men ordered food. I was in the middle of ordering and the food server just dismissed me and diverted her attention to the group of guys. I'm not some feminist crazy person but, I was in line 1st. I waited 15 minutes patiently as 2 workers flirted and asked the group if they wanted "fully heated tortillas:" Then the manager tells me he doesn't know what's going on. All I wanted was 3 tacos.

  • Sonya T

Horrible horrible place, you should have in mind you will be in line at least a good 30 mins to pay as it always has 1-2 registers open with at least 10 people in line on each. The cashiers could care less about trying to speed up and get people off the line quickly, they also all have very bad attitude. They never thank you for shopping there. A store like that you would believe they make enough to pay more cashiers and maybe pay them more so they provide better customer service. Ps. Don't bother to answer with the same automated response you post on every review!!

  • O'Zandra

The place is well worn. It can definitely use a couple coats or paint and a floor stripping. But dint let that deter you from getting CHEAP produce. Fruits, veggies, and dried beans are about all that I purchase from here. However, I have looked at the meats. Chicken quarters are reasonable. One can request to have the meats, including seafood, fried while they wait. I got a problem with that. I like my meat washed and seasoned before it hit that grease. Good place to get pig's feet, trite, ham hocks... things that you may have a time finding at other grocers.

  • 高橋ひろき

While I appreciate the good offers this place has, they need to hire better employees. Upon entering the store, a Hispanic/Latino cashier just glazed at me like I’m an alien. I just move on and not let such people bother me. After shopping few items, he happened to be at the checkout lane I was at. He still had the same nasty attitude and did not thank me for going as they should. I’m not trying to be rude, but I would understand if he doesn’t speak much English and probably assume I speak Spanish but chose not to. None of those are appreciated, ever.

  • Daisy Orlando

Gross.. I wouldn't buy anything out of there. Came to buy a birthday cake.. and I saw flies all over the cakes that were made waiting to be frosted, plus those cakes we're sitting out not covered and on a bakers rack.. air drying out.. this place use to be the best before the pandemic. Now it's disgusting.. we told the lady behind the cover about a fly on the cake already frosted and decorated.. she pulled it out and than took off the fly and put the cake right back into the cake case. Gross!! Not going back ever.

I have shopped at this location several times and find it very annoying that even the cheap shampoos and off brand medicines are locked in box. I understand that this is not a good neighborhood and they want to prevent shoplifting, but the problem is that it takes forever for them to come unlock it, and by taking it to the register after unlocking means that they think you will steal the item. I have been to better locations if I ever shop at this place, but this is one I would suggest avoiding.

  • Amanda

This is the best Ranch Market I've been to. I need to explore more of the panaderia offerings and their freshly made tortillas, but I usually go for their very large selection of frozen Goya fruit purees in their freezer end cap. They also have my favorite cherry Gansito cakes, which seem harder to find. One downside is, the checkout lines move slowwwww, so I hope you're not in a hurry! Self checkout is a little better, but then you often end up with slow customers scanning full carts of items.

  • Jc Trinidad

Trying to buy medicine for kids push the button multiply times to call for service , no one comes I walk out talk to a grocery guy he rudely says oh the cashier have the keys for that and walks away rapidly I told him hey don’t talk like that in Spanish talk with some respect you don’t talk to ppl Rudely and walk away. I left with nothing all because they couldn’t figure out who had the key really disappointing the system is not being followed. Poor communication

  • Joshua Frank

This store has good employees who were always helpful and kind to me. They actually help you find what you're looking for instead of how some stores just tell you what aisle it's on. Plus their produce department is full of variety some that I've never seen before. I do also love the seafood too. Before I forget the hot food is good too I thought a little on the pricey side but for the flavor and size it balances itself out.

  • Jose Ramirez Chavez

Horribly expensive. I mean 3.97 for a gallon of milk, 1.29 for a lb of tomatoes, 1.99 for a bell pepper, 5.97 for a lb of queso fresco, 4.99 for 16.9 oz of mayo. I would not advise anybody to shop for groceries here. This place is common in the Latino community, but it is too expensive for their average income. Go to Walmart or Albertsons instead. You'll save a whole lot more money and they have better quality produce.

  • Kira Morgan

Don't like the layout of where foods are. There is no thought put into what foods are placed along side other foods (example the soups are not all in one section). Makes it very hard to find what you need if they even carry it. This franchise is very focused on the Hispanic & Latino food culture that it neglects stocking simple things like canned cream soups and more "American" gear products.

  • Cordelia Holland

Absolutely amazing place!! We got tacos and torta for lunch with horchatta and Sandia (watermelon drink) and was delicious!! Their tortillas are fresh made in house at their tortilleria and are so tasty! They are for purchase as well. Lots of fresh produce for very fair prices. Lots of meat and seafood also priced for a steal. Their panaderia (bakery) is phenomenal too! 10/10 would recommend.

  • Efdee Pro

This place is always clean and well stocked. Also the food is always fresh and have different plates to chose from. The sea food is really good and the natural flavored drinks are refreshing. If you or someone is looking for a cake to be well made, this place is where you need to go. This location actually makes the cakes really good. You should definitely come to this place

  • Al Veca

I went in right now to get just a couple of things and the cremeria was closed so infront there's an area incase if it's closed you could get cheese sour cream cure meat and stuff I was getting cheese and there is alot of cheese expired from 5/17 so 4 days..... so for days this place hasn't checked anything and are selling expired food... check you stuff before you pay

  • Vero

I love coming here but lately they are doing a lot of false advertisement. I went Tuesday thanksgiving week and the prices did not match when they scanned it. I noticed it before so this time we took pictures. For now on I will make sure everything is the correct price. I suggest that the store keep up with the prices because not everyone can spend as they please.

  • Raha Sheikh

Yvette is awful person and so racist, she did help a customer for putting her grocery in bags but it was my turn she refused to do bcoz I’m POC and Muslim and this happened twice. I did report so called manager and he told me that’s how she’s been doing and so many people complained about this but they still let her work,She deserves to be fired or will lose money

  • Marc S

Great variety of produces to experiment with or cook your favorite dishes, don’t be scared to ask the staff for ideas or correct ways to cook the specific dish or ingredients you are getting. Huge chicharrones !!! Their fresh flour tortillas are great! You have to be strong at the entrance with the beautiful wall of Mexican breads … all so yummy but so sweet !!!

  • Robert Ramirez

I've been coming here for years to get pozole on the weekend. I'm not sure if the bigger hominy that they've added to the recipe makes it cheaper, but it does make it taste wierd. I think this is the last time I'll be eating pozole here. I get better pozole at Food City 19th Ave. & Indian School. Food City will toast my bread & add butter too. I'm disappointed

  • Carlton Young (Ceej)

Deplorable. The place was dirty, and the employee working behind the seafood counter was very rude and unhelpful. The shrimp I purchased was spoiled and had a funny taste, had to throw it out! I wouldn't come back here for much other than produce, even then there's better smaller markets in Phoenix, with much better customer service! WACK.

  • Trisha McWeeny

The BEST Grilled chicken ever! Best tortillas too! The rest of the market is inconsistent at best. No customer service, especially by phone, they never pick up. No one can tell you the names of the cooked food in the store, or when it might be prepared or available again. I’d go there weekly if I knew I could buy the same items by name.

  • Cherish Johnson

I went to this location for the 1st Convenience Bank that is inside of the Ranch Market. This bank branch is great, quick and friendly. I also ended up shopping for just a couple of items. The store itself was very busy, but pretty well stocked. I was impressed! :) Only one negative...I was the only customer wearing a mask. …

  • Brandon

What I primarily came in here for today was to pick up some carne asada. However, I also checked out the produce section, and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection in both the meat, and produce departments! Also, the store was clean, and everyone (including staff and patrons) were friendly. Check out was quick and easy.

  • Annie Guran

Viva la mexican everything! Authentic stuff! Store is understaffed and the wait time in line is excessive. Be prepared to wait but the meat, seasonings, hot food, Bakery and butcher are all spot on. Don't drink their juice, it tastes like plastic. They do not wash the plastic bottles before filling them and you can taste it

  • Mark Anthony Lucas

This place is super nice, lots of groceries and other services, hot food to eat there or to go, yummy Mexican delicacies, I recommend the Chile Relleno and a Tamarindo drink. If you need cash they even have a bank with great customer service and an ATM. Check it out!! Picture del Chile Relleno. …

  • Delanna Sesma

I’ve been coming to this location for about 20 years. At first I was hesitant because the price on pastries had gone up to 99 cents a piece, but the quality of the pan dulce has gone up tremendously. I highly recommend the raspberry filled sweet bread, I ate three in one day and will be going back for more.

  • Jesus Guzman. Guzman.

I walked into a new expierance of grocery store!! Kind of dark but as I entered I saw all the fresh vegetables n staff cleaning n greeting the customers. I felt hungry so I walked to to kitchen WOW There was authentic Mexican food. I had to go for the caldo de rez.... delicious n it didn't break my wallet

  • Nina Murillo

It's a grocery store what's there to really say I have had my experiences but everyone does. They do overcharge a little, I get stuff from only 99cent store Walmart cheaper. Just because it's close doesn't mean I have to spend an arm and a leg. Yeah I have to spend gas but it's kind of worth it.

  • NoaLee Chapa

The customer service is non-existent! Rude employees! There was no disinfection of carts or the tables set up when purchasing food items from their kitchen. Don't shop there. I was going to purchase Menudo to make it myself and their prices are triple from any where else. I refuse to shop there.

  • Brandon Webster

I only come here for their tacos, I've never actually shopped here. The tacos are quite possibly the best I've ever had! I highly recommend this place. On Tuesdays, they are one dollar each which is pretty great. The normal price for 5 tacos is 7.99, so getting them for 5 bucks is a great deal.

  • Zafar Bhatti

A great place to shop, on site food operation serves great assortment of Mexican food. Many times I have taken out large orders of food for 20 to 30 ppl, and never been disappointed. Had a small issue one time and manager stepped in and took care of fixing the issue promptly and professionally

  • Tamarah Grace

I usually just come here for the mexican "street" food located inside. There's ample seating but it gets busy for lunch. The tacos are some of the best in the valley. Besides being a cool place to shop for unique groceries, this location also has a small gold jewelry shop and a bank inside.

  • jas wats

I come here for the grilled chicken and the guacamole. Better deal than any other, imo. They sell legs and thighs alone for a great deal (4 legs, 4 thighs, 3 or 4 tortillas and salsa and roasted jalapeños for 5 bucks! Place is always clean and workers are always great to deal with. Love it!

  • Eric Ice

I like this place, the meat and produce are the best plus I can buy the right products for my Mexican dishes. I recommend you try the restaurant there , the food is great and affordable. My one negative comment is that it seems to me that the store has reduced its selection a products.

  • Tina Phalen

They have good food if you order it for lunch but as a whole in the store they don't carry a lot that I like to buy but it is a good store still. I just live near it and use it for emergencies like when I run out of bananas but other than that they don't carry the brands that I like

  • Jeremias Cruz

If you have app called upside you can get cash back on whatever you buy from this grocery store! It's a Win because everything here is affordable and has a food court as well. Not a lot of people come here so it's a win and don't have to wait in line that long to check out

  • Guadalupe Mendoza

Hit and miss. Large deli style take out. Caters to Hispanic people. Much better than Food city. Can purchase fresh made to order vegetable and or fruit juices. I want to buy one Everytime I go there. Big selection of Mexican pastries. Miss is poor customer service.

  • Donny Cosmond

From the moment I walked in, I became a fan. Not knowledgeable about Mexican food , i was overwhelmed with the selections. From the refreshing drinks to the perfectly cooked chicken. Prices are very reasonable. Did I mention the veggies and fruits department?

  • Shawn Thomas

Open before 7am so that's a plus. Limited supply of pastels is understandable, I suppose. Bathroom with a keypad, that's gonna push me away. Self checkout that gave me 97 cents back because it doesn't accept any coins -- give a reason to want to come back.

  • Jessica Damper

I came here for neck bones. They had what I needed. The meat looked good. The cashier spoke to the customers before me in Spanish but didn't say one word to me or even look at me. Other than that, everything else was fine. I will be back as needed.

  • Susan Tovo

Love shopping here. Always have great deals. Love to come eat here also. The only problem is sometimes the cashiers are so slow. Busy talking to other employees. And it's not about work. Sometimes I'm in a hurry so on those days it does annoy me.

  • Haz

Little bit of a language barrier but other shoppers helped me out with translation to get my order. Waited 15 min at the seafood dept because the employee went to lunch I had to leave. Fish looked very fresh tho.Store is clean fairly well stocked

  • Gene Wookey

I have been there 2 times first time 3 nights . Second time 2 nights . When I dropped my dog off she walked right to the door and to the person at the front counter just happy to be their. I knew she was in good hands and will be taken care of .

  • Jesse estrea Vasquez

Have some of the best in house chorizo. Especially if it's on the blue trey. It's perfectly blended with the right amount of everything. Last time I went they didn't have any and I got the one on the pink try. It needed more spice and flavor.

  • Destiny Harley

Just bought dinner with our last $10 and the milk was curdled with an experation date from yesterday as well as the pork chops expired yesterday and skilled disgusting!! GROSS!! Check the expiration date on all the food before you buy...

  • Ashton Allen

I love there market as a whole but someone needs to double check the tamales to make sure they are done. I ordered 6 green and 6 red and they were all not fully cooked. I don't know what happened but Ranch Market double check your food.

  • Robert Cox

Prices are higher than other stores like it. But their chicken and Carnitas (pork) are excellent. I'd say the staff are friendly, but when I asked for the code to the bathroom, the lady told me she was on break and to ask someone else.

  • Charles Ethelbah Jr

This place is getting pinched if you're just a regular American. But if you know what you're looking for and how to look for it you can find quite a bit here at ranch market. Most of the staff speak English and only a few just speak

  • Carl

Huge parking lot with lots of spaces. I was shocked at the variety of food available inside. They have a great bakery with a good amount of baked goods. I have tried several different cakes and cookies and they are all so good.

  • Ryan Johnson

A must go to store. Hands down best market I've ever shopped at .perfect set up and items are beyond what someone could dream of when Hispanic food Is number one on your list. They kill it when your looking for bomb foods. !!!

  • Tommi Black

Really great place: Clean, reasonable prices and courteous staff. Every time I make a trip out here from North Scottsdale I am amazed at the courteousness of the staff. My first visit was at the time they had the lottery, I

  • Daniel Becerra

Ran out of carne asada, food sat under fan for 5 minutes waiting for me to pay. Ran out of salsa. How can a taqueria run out of salsa!?! Manager was confused and did not know what to do. Bad kitchen management.

  • Geanette Garcia

This store has good prices for their meats. Produce is a good price also. I also do my banking there. My son enjoys the food from the eatery inside the store. The store is always clean. Also friendly cashiers.

I've been to other ranch markets. This one is a little too smelly. Merchandise are okay. Restaurant food didn't look very appetizing. I like the Phoenix branch on central and southern much better.

They have employee that are very rude and disrespectful to the customer. They also put out rotten vegetables so the consumers to buy.

  • V

Tamales were a little dry. Not great taste or selection available. Food is a little pricey. Beans and rice tend to be on salty side.

I get freshly made burritos from this place and they are damn tasty! I could do without the musty smell of the building though.
