I recently took my kids to the Louisiana Children's Museum and it was a hit! This place is a treasure trove of fun and learning for children, with activities that cater to a wide range of interests and ages. Spread over two floors, plus an outdoor area, the museum is a vibrant space that keeps the little ones engaged and excited. The kitchen and food store play area was fantastic. It's an imaginative space where kids can pretend to cook and shop, learning about different foods and basic nutrition in an interactive setting. The water play area is another great spot, especially on warm days, offering a refreshing and playful way to learn about water. For those with a musical bent, the music play area is a wonderful exploration of sound and rhythm. It's a great introduction to the world of music in a fun, hands-on way. The arts and crafts area is also superb, providing a creative outlet for children to express themselves. One of the most unique and fun experiences is the bubble exhibit, where kids can create a giant bubble around themselves. It's not just entertaining but also educational, teaching basic physics in a way that’s easy for children to grasp. In summary, the Louisiana Children's Museum is a fantastic destination for families. It offers a perfect mix of education and entertainment, making learning fun and interactive. A definite recommendation for those looking for a family-friendly outing that’s both enjoyable and enriching. This museum deserves a solid four-star rating for its wonderful array of activities and exhibits.

We are a big children's museum family. If there is one in the city we are visiting, it is always on our itinerary. And even though as a Louisiana-native I might be biased, this is by far the best one I've ever been too! This was our first time back since it moved locations and I was blown away. There are so many wonderful activities but it's not overwhelming (I hate when they are so big you feel like you are missing out on so much stuff) The staff is so friendly and helpful and everything is kept clean and organized, even with a full house. I just love that the entire museum is a tribute to New Orleans and Louisiana - from the jazz-themed music room, to the crawfish boil play area; even the play house is shotgun style! May kids had the best time and if it wasn't for nap time, they could easily have stayed all day. Having done a bunch of other child-friendly activities this week, I can tell you the tickets are way more reasonable than everything else we did. We will definitely back! (I also appreciated all of the little inclusion details: a small door for kids to walk through, signs at children's level announcing the hand dryers will make a loud noise, a mural of the piano player in a wheelchair - well done!

We were gifted a family membership for us and our 3 year old son. LCM is a fun and interactive museum, but based on other Children's Museums we have visited around the country, I feel this one is a bit lacking. While it is 2 levels with a decent sized outdoor play area, I feel that more time needs to be invested into changing up some of the indoor activities, especially since Louisiana experiences such warm weather almost year round and it is unbearable to be outside 3/4 of the year. We enjoyed our year long membership but ultimately chose not to renew it because we feel as though our son starting to no longer get as excited to go as he did in the beginning. Parking is also an issue, especially on weekends!

Such a great place to take little ones. There’s so many different activities to do. It would take multiple trips to do it all! There’s a water play area, so I recommend bringing a change of clothes in case your kiddo gets a little wet. The LCM membership is worth it if you plan to go more than twice a year! We went during a special event weekend and there were so many fun activities set up. There’s a toddler play area for smaller children that my son loves and also a good mix between indoor & outdoor activities.

Wow! I’m blown away, this museum was everything. I’ve travel to various children’s museums in different states with my daughter but by far we had the best time here! We arrived right when it was opening so that may have helped but everything was extremely clean, organized, and well taken care of. We spent almost 3 hours there and could have probably spent more! The museum store had really good toys for sale, not just random junk! If you’re in New Orleans with kids this is a must.

Tonight we were honored to be in attendance of Sensory night. Employees were very friendly and helpful. As well as a pleasure to meet. The environment was perfect for children with sensory needs. Just want to say Thank you to the Louisiana Children's Museum for your kindness for having this program. This is just what us Au-some moms need. My daughters had a blast.

Not super easy to find a parking spot during the weekend but it worth it! Very interesting and diversified activities for kids! Probably one of the best or the best one! There is also an outdoor area. It’s a 2 hours activity with lower parenting energy involved. And my kid is full of energy.

We really enjoyed visiting this children's museum with our children ages 10, 8, and 5. The exhibits were well designed and allowed for a lot of open-ended play and exploration. I'm a teacher and my husband is a play therapist, so we place a high value on quality play opportunities; this place fits the bill!

We love the children's museum. It's engaging and always keeps my little dude busy. We love looking at the turtles in the pond and the Acorn Cafe is a great way to end a trip to the museum.

This place is amazing. The location is gorgeous and the museum itself is spacey and so much fun. They have an outside space that is relaxing and huge and an inside space that is incredibly well designed. My new favorite kids museum. All the

The pictures are of the park from the second floor of the museum. I was honestly having too much fun and forgot to take pictures. The Mississippi River mega-water table is the absolute best. My 7yo couldn't get enough of it when he was 4yo

There's a lot for all ages to play and explore. We held our daughter 1st birthday and paid for a space. The workers are super courtesy and helpful. The only complaint we would have is to allow decor for the birthday parties again. It was

Absolutely amazing place for kids to spend an entire day. There are two floors filled with creativity, fun and amazement with activities ranging from music and art to science. This should appeal to kids from 2 years to 14 years of age.

One of the best children’s museums we’ve been to (and we’ve been to a lot!). Very well organized, the staff is helpful and friendly, clean and a perfect layout to avoid kid clusters. Lots of actives for all ages & attention spans.

We visited from out of state and were impressed. Super cool hands-on learning experience for kids. There is a ton to explore, so make sure you set aside at least 3 hours minimum to enjoy everything.

Amazing DaY , FuN, and FooD !! This was our first visit to the new children’s museum and oh my gosh it was fun. Especially considering we are adults with no small children.
