If it wasn't for one great team member, I would give their customer service one star. I ordered two doors in early JULY and since then have had to reorder the same doors TWO additional times because my order wasn't properly documented. It took the contractor over two weeks to measure my doors because they do not send emails regarding your order or contact information to who is actually coming out to measure and install your doors and the contractor never left a message identifying themselves. At the end of SEPTEMBER, I finally had my doors scheduled to be installed TODAY (OCTOBER 15) and received a call that they would not be installed because why, "They need to be special ordered based on your measurements." The manager made a decision that since my measurements were one inch short of a normal door, they ordered a normal door which WOULD NOT FIT my frame! They told me when I first ordered the doors that it would have to be special ordered and so why, when they had the measurements on file for over TWO MONTHS, would you not special order the doors?! Especially since I've had to tell the staff which doors I'd originally ordered 3 times over 2 months! I am supposed to hear something today and I hope they not only have timeline for my doors to be installed before the end of the month, but also how they are going to compensate me for this inexcusable service and inconvenience. Only so much patience can be asked or expected, and I've given far more than was deserved. Unacceptable!

This is the second time that I have given my business to a competitor because the store on 83rd Street lacks customer service. The first time was a couple of years ago when I purchased carpet. The sales person at that time was not knowledgeable about the various types of carpet and made no attempt to seek information. My recent experience was this past Saturday. I am planning to buy granite kitchen counter tops. Upon entering the kitchen department, no sales people were around. I decided to browse thinking someone would see me. After about 15 minutes I noticed a female sales person in a room on the side eating. We saw each other but no acknowledgement was made. I thought to myself that we see each other and I will wait and when she finish, she will surely attempt to assist me. After another 10 minutes she came out, did not approach me, did not speak, went right past me to approached her coworkers and engaged in a friendly loud conversation. At that point, I decided to leave. My feelings are “ Why Should I Have to Beg Someone To Take My Money.” I am very interested in remodeling my kitchen but have an appointment with one of your competitors today. Please enroll your salespeople in a customer service class. It is very much needed. A friendly face goes a long way. Would like to shop in the neighborhood but want to feel appreciated.

Visited on a Sunday morning. Wanted a sample if a particular paint color. Hardly any customers in the store. Waited at the paint counter for someone to show up. Finally, turned around to customer service and asked a male employee if anyone was working the paint counter. He said he would page someone. Minutes go by. Still no one shows up. I turn back to customer service. 4 employees standing there talking to each other and clearly able to see me waiting. I ask for one of the employees to page someone again. A young lady who was in the group says, "Oh! I can help you!" She saw me waiting. Why did I have to ask for help! Then she asks me about 3 times the name of the color I wanted. Couldn't get a sample in semi-gloss. The young lady said samples were only available in satin. Was in the store about 30 minutes, spent $6 for a sample and I might not have received the right color (City Loft) After I painted a small area, my son, who recommended the color, stopped by and doesn't think I got City Loft. He has the color in his house and said what I received doesn't look the same as his. Not worth driving back to the store to wait for $6. Too far. Very poor customer service

I am not one to write reviews but after my visit to this store location today I have to make people aware of how horrible this store is! I arriving just after 4 pm this afternoon and the store wasn’t too terribly busy. I came to purchase some paint. There was no one at the desk so I figured I’d wait a minute or two for someone to return. After 15 minutes with still no help I went to the customer service desk to see if they could page someone to help me. They did, after rudely saying “well there ain’t anyone there!” To which I replied, “correct! That’s why I need to get page someone. “ after the page I waited another 15 minutes with still no one helping me. I go back to the desk this time a bit more frustrated understandably. I ask them to page again and they lazily pick up the phone and mumble into it... this is wear I just about lose it! And instead of making a scene, I just left and vowed to never return to this God forsaken Lowe’s location. If it weren’t for the several other locations I’ve been to in the past I might have just sworn off Lowe’s as a whole because of just how crappy of service I was offered.

I must admit this location has a store manager or supervisor that desperately cares to make the customer experience a positive 5 star ⭐ event. Cornelius randomly asked me if I was finding everything okay. I wasn't. I came in 1 hour before closing and my pickup didn't show so I started shopping. Curtain rods were on clearance alas I could only find one and it was white. Ewww. By the time he asked, I had to inquire if he had the scanner gun to tell me if there was inventory for the items. Of course, the styles I didn't want were available but he went to ask something else and that's when I revealed that I wanted to get a security door installed but (1) they're booked out and (2) didn't have my color choice. For whatever reason the options don't show via personal cell neither a laptop. But he went to their desktop stations and found an option within my budget and now I'm scheduled to get my door measured and installed. I hope they can finalize it all before I leave but he assured me that I don't have to be present. Maybe this was divine intervention but I'm happy and feeling blessed. Sales galore right now.

Went to This location out of convenience of it being close to home and I regret it. I went in to simply pick up a tool chest I had ordered online and wasted an hour of my life waiting. I waited 30 minutes in line but it didn’t bother me because, there was only one cashier at the service counter with a line of 8/9 people and she was doing her best to get the line moving. Once I was attended to she gave me the palate work and said she called someone to help because the tool chest was on a cart with several boxes of tile she could not lift because they were to heavy which is understandable. What really made me upset was once she called for hell no one came for 10 minutes and once the manager Jose and another employee Brian came they ignored me standing there and helped other customers. I then asked Jose if he could just give me my item so I could leave he said yes a made me wait another 15 min. At this point I was extremely upset . After 30 minutes Jose finally gave me my item and I left.

I don't normally shop at Lowe's. I find them to be overpriced. On this particular occasion I went there to find s hooks. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for and bought an alternative that should work. I did however walk through their garden department. I was surprised to find that it had a nice selection of items. I will have to keep an eye out as we get closer to spring. I will go back to pick up a few decorative pots I saw. I also want to specifically wander through to fully take in their selection of items. I am looking to up my houseplant game. They may replace their competitor in that regard. I went to Lowe's to see a grill that I am contemplating buying. While I was there, I happened to notice that they had a product that I specifically went to their competitor to find. They did not have it, but Lowe's had it and plenty of it. This Lowe's is also less than a mile from my house. Go figure. I'm starting to change my mind about Lowe's.

I purchased a Char-griller on 5/26/21 free assemble which was wonderful. Call Friday 5/28/21 to let them know I’ll be there Saturday morning 5/29/21 gat there at 7:15am. Gave associate my receipt told her I called yesterday and that it was up front she didn’t look. Waited for 15 minutes for somebody to come and go in the back to get the grill. When they came and went to the back they took 10 more minutes. Brings it to the front I pull my truck around so they can load it by that time it was another customer at Customer Service waiting on a grill at the same time a gentleman was about to assist me when a different associate sends him to the back to get the other grill that the man was waiting for. All alone my grill was behind the counter by self checkout smh with my name and note saying I called and will be picking up. Normally they have great customer service but today not good at all.

Visited the location Monday 3-27-2023 ,I received excellent customer everyone was friendly and very nice however one guy I believe was name Keith was on a ladder filling in stock i asked about and item he got down and walked me to the merchandise and explained to me how to use the product, I then went to electrical department and another man with glasses on was very helpful, I proceeded to the cashier and received excellent customer service from Jennifer the cashier, the store was very cleaned and well stock, I returned home and use the item that Keith recommended and to my satisfied it was the best I was frustrated when I went into the store because I didn't no what I was looking for, but Keith saved the day like I stated before EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. To the store manager your staff made you proud and to the corporate the store manager is is doing a good job Go team Lowes. .

It was terrible, I asked one employee where the aisle and row i was looking for is he said he didn't know after looking for a lil while. employee #2 really did try but he did not give up on me and continued looking as I used my phone to locate products but they were never where the app said. Employee #3 did have some information but it was inaccurate but he was in the department and seemed to know what was going on. I bumped back into employee #1 who I asked again for help (so did employee #2) he said he didn't know again and helped another customer another trip around the store and employee #2 found out exactly where it was for me and I walked right to it! I did thank the gentleman but I can't recall his name. Light skinned heavy set brother with a low haircut. Thank you for saving my 5 minute trip (that turned into over an hour) from being a total disaster.

Spent over $800 on a security door and installation for my property. It took 2 months for the door to arrive at the store and then when it did, they subcontracted my installation to another company. This outside company would never return my calls. Called for 2 weeks trying to schedule an install. When I would call the actual Lowe's store for help with this, I would get left on hold, hung up on, and the customer service rep would have an attitude. I still don't have my door installed. Called the corporate number today to file a formal complaint. I tried to support this Lowe's because it's in the community and Lowe's has a African American CEO. But I swear, after this, I will be purchasing exclusively from Menards. Not dealing with this mess every again.

I'm a disabled senior and I went to the store and there was not a riding carts available I was told they only had one that was working and it was in use the other one was not working and somebody stole the other two about a year ago and no one had bothered to replace it I don't think that's acceptable but the customer service was very helpful because I had came in for one item so she had someone to come up and help me out rather than me having to try to walk back to the appliances and I thought that was very considerate of her so that's why I gave them a three because customer service was very helpful but not having any riding cart for disabled people is not very good and for over a year that's not saying much for the management

Unfortunately this location is close to my house, they're usually a little cheaper than Home Depot which is also nearby. The staff here has absolutely no knowledge about the products that they sell. I asked 3 different staff members where a particular item was and not 1 of them could help me. I'm sure they have some kind of orientation for new employees, unfortunately the staff that works there may not have attended it. I try to avoid this place, because when I leave I'm always annoyed. If they do have new hire orientation, they should give them a written test. Anyone who doesn't pass the test or doesn't attend the orientation should not be allowed to work there.

Came to get some items for a job and wanted to perform a phone order. The guy that was paying for the things asked the lady to give him a minute and call him right back since he didn't have his wallet on him. The lady went and dissapeared for over 30 minutes. We asked the other sales associates if someone else could complete the order for us and they just told me that the intial lady would be back soon. After she got back she had us wait at least another 30 minutes before deciding to call back. We had to wait over 1 hour just to get the items paid out. Horrible customer service. Would not recommend this location to others. The lady attending us was Tasha.

Ordered online for store pick-up. Got to the store, 4 lanes open in customer service. BUT ONLY ONE designated for online orders. I have been here 30 minutes. Got to the register, NO ITEM! They have to go retrieve it! I ordered 3 hours ago. A doorknob set. If I would have walked in, found the product, and did self check out, I would have my product. Unfortunately I am a property manager, and orders must be placed in advance by my landlords for pick up by me. This "convenient" form of shopping is causing me to lose valuable time while my client's tenants are awaiting repairs. Pissed. I don't understand why the service is lacking in "our" neighborhood.

Lowes is the "Target" of hardware stores. Their locations are always more organized, cleaner, and modern compared to other hardware stores. However, you're going to pay a little more. But to us it's worth it. This location is no different. When you walk inside it doesn't look like a chaotic warehouse. The staff there was very professional and helped us find what we were looking for in a timely matter. They seem to have everything in stock. If anybody has gone shopping in this area they know that most stores are crowded and hectic. We try to avoid this area at all costs. However, this Lowes location is an outlier. We will be returning soon.

I ordered 2 garage remotes online and went over and picked them up. Got home with them and found that 1 had been opened by someone else. I called the store and was told that pickup has no control over the items given to them for customers to pickup! So I was offered the opportunity to speak to a manager if I wanted and I said yes. I sat in my car with the phone ringing waiting for a manager to answer only to be hung up on 10 minutes later. With the long line to get in I wasn't going back as a fresh customer to stand in line again I'm done and will be going to home depot for a while. 1 star for each remote -4 for customer service.

Definitely won't return to this store I asked someone to help look for an item they referred me to someone else that never showed I waited for 40mins standing in the isle so they could see me but nothing I ended up finding what I needed got to the cashier was rude didn't say hi or bye just the total and stood there and the person that was supposed to help me was standing behind the register talking amongst friends. This is not a complaint I don't want an apology or anything along those lines just know when you come here you will get poor treatment and I won't return, this was my first time at this store smh.

Terrible customer service. Nobody answers the phone and when they do they just put you on hold for a long time and hang up on you. Tried calling the store multiple time in one day to get status update on an order that was supposed to be delivered and never showed up. Every time I called the phone rang for several minutes and if anyone ever did pick up they put me on hold or transferred my call to another hold queue where it sat until the call disconnected. I understand that delivery issues happen, but at least offer the customer the decency and courtesy of taking calls and answering questions. Unacceptable.

Hardware stores often seem like such a miserable place for the younger workers. Retail in general can be such a nightmare. But when I called on a Saturday afternoon to save myself a trip if this location didn’t have an item listed in their online inventory, I was thoroughly impressed by the worker’s diligence to help me. It would’ve been very easy for him to just hang up, like many in retail do when you try to confirm their available inventory ahead of wasting a trip, but he actually set aside the item in customer service for me! I was very grateful and will recommend this Lowe’s to all of my friends.

This is the worst lowe's ever.. they have poor customer service, poor record keeping, quick to shift blame on other employees and unwilling to assist customers. None of the representatives are knowledgeable regarding basic rudimentary transactions and will quickly pass the responsibility onto someone else. NO ACCOUNTABILITY!! Quick to say what they don't have and/or what they don't know as opposed to TRYING to find the answer to improve the customer's experience. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. It's unfortunate you have to travel outside of the community to receive good customer service

What's more to say than a big box home improvement store that's situated near a Super WalMart and a Home Depot. It's truly what flavor best appeals to you when choosing to spend your hard earned dollars. The staff is well attentive, makes suggestions for practical use and installations and their DIY series of home improvement seminars are greatly informative. The nice part about this location is they aren't as busy or crowded as some of the other locations, so with social distancing being practiced, shoppers may not feel as confined and crowded as in some other big box stores.

Patronizing stores in your community is tough when good customer service is hard to come by. Each time I come to this location the workers there act like they don't want to be there. I waited 30 minutes for a curbside pickup order that was never brought to my vehicle. I had to go into the store to get it and the person who finally attended to me had a terrible attitude. Inside the store is no different. Just to checkout is a problem. No one is at the checkout isles despite the light being on and none of the staff knows where the person went to. Just terrible overall....

If I could give no stars, I would. The absolute worst store and company to buy appliances from. The delivery people tell lies of you not being at the property to receive your merchandise while waiting all day for them to deliver purchased items. Once they finally do deliver, the installation is rushed and not done correctly. After, you spend almost an hour on the phone to be transferred back and forth, and then rescheduled for a reinstall, the appliance still does not work. Im taking my money and business else where that can offer better customer service and products.

This was my first experience visiting this store and I was overwhelmed by the pleasant greeting of every single representative in the store! I will make every effort to go out of my way to revisit that store. I visited specifically because I couldn’t find a representative to assist me in the Menards around the corner from my house! There were representatives greeting us from the entrance, throughout the store to the exit. One even offered to walk to get an item for us! Great job Lowe’s! Keep up the great customer service! This has got to be one of THEE WORST Lowe's. Only one cashier and 10+ ppl in line purchasing tons of items. The self checkout line was closed which caused the longer line. On top of that, I entered the store to pick up an item that I paid for online AND that line was RIDICULOUSLY LONG as well. They are in need of a BETTER system because ppl shouldn't have to stand 6 ft a part in long lines with long waits w/masks on. So I went online and cancelled my order... drove across the parking lot to Home Depot to purchase the same items in under 10 minutes.

I called into this lowes for Flooring. When I arrived John & Steven pulled it and loaded it onto my box truck. Their level of customer service was very exceptional. When I made it to the register I was met with Nunu who then asked was everything ok and if I had been helped. She then went on to check me out and scan my pallet. Her customer service superseded my expectations of what I've heard from other investors. All experiences aren't the same. How you carry yourself more than likely is how you will be treated. It was not good experience for me. I found it to be offensive via your so called "Customer Service." After spending my cash, I was given a gift card in lieu of my money. Realizing line was long, told to walk back to plumbing department to get price for plunger missing bar code. Finally, waited for several other customers to be waited on before call did come back with correct price. My experience is different shopping in other big box hardware. There is difference between Customer Service vs. Customer Self-Service in my opinion.

I have made this Lowe’s my primary place for shopping for my home needs but the multiple let downs is astonishing. They never have anything I need. Patio goods to gardening to refrigerator filters to something as simple as paint. I always end up ordering online and waiting in the ever slow customer service line to pickup or driving to Orland Park. Today, I almost paid for the most expensive paint because they had nothing. However, I decided to make the ride to Orland and spent half of what I would have and received a rebate.

Not pleased with management not please with the way that they handle a customer needs held on to my merchandise for several months without contacting me proclaims they sent out the unit but the unit was more Dusty and when I brought it in made several attempts to contact the store to find out if they had for field the contract agreement but no answer and no follow-up from anyone at the store had to go in to retrieve my merchandise no thanks I am not satisfied thanks for the poor customer service

The store has great products and the environment is well maintain. I was looking for closet doors and there were no one to help me. I felt as if I was intruding on him. Consequently I did not purchase the product. I also found a chandelier I wanted but no one to help me. The person who was called to help me did not know about the product and he never came back. A young man named Jaylor was very helpfull. But at the end I went elsewhere and bought all the products and FYI I spent $650 .

I haven’t been here in awhile, only went because they had Flowers on sale for the spring and a flowerpot that I needed, well I got the best customer service that was just amazing!!!! She was happy, helpful ( she said she doesn’t work in the garden department) I could see her smile with her mask on! Pleasant, I could go on and on but I wasn’t in line that long . SHALITA!!!! You rock !!! I hope you continue that great personality where ever you go !!! That’s why I giving Lowe’s 4 stars!

Lowe's was a great place to shop for home needs. The people were knowledgeable about the location of items in the store and helpful in assisting patrons looking for the right thing or do-dad in the store. I am astounded that it is not utilized more frequency by the community. This Lowe's is well equipped and has great personnel working in it. I highly recommend the Lowe's on, approximately, 400 West on 83rd Street in the new Chatham shopping area. It is across from the Walmart.

Once again Lowe’s 8411 S. Holland screwed me. I paid for an electric stack washer and dryer and before I could have it delivered they sold it to someone else. I know that Jasmine, one of the appliance managers had something to do with this because when I spoke to her she had a very nasty and unprofessional attitude with me regarding the dryer handle that was missing. She needs to be fired and so does Manny in the delivery department. Piss poor customer service at its best!

Very helpful customer service experience, for the most part. But, there are a couple of departments where it's hard to locate staff to assist or where the staff isn't very knowledgeable. Signage and organization is clear and orderly. Huge, clean parking lot, with lots of carts available. This store is in an area which is quickly becoming a major shopping hub for the Southside of the city. It is accessible by public transportation, sort of; it's best to visit by car.

The customer service is the worst, waited 20 minutes trying to someone to assist in the flooding department . Then when no show up looked for someone to page anyone in the department and then no response after 4 attempts of course no response. So, while in aisle I called the store manager in which I waited 10 minutes on the phone with no response. So, if you don't need anyone to assist you this is the store to shop in. But, if you need self go some place else.

Hello People My sec trip to this store and I'm satisfied no long as soon as I went in and ask for my Product they told me about ten min for what I needed.they had to go up stairs to get it , so the employee said I could go to customer service and have a seat.and I was out in about 25min the young man waited out side with me until my driver pulled up and He Put my bag in the car very nice People and great service.Mrs Pur'" senior shopper. Don't trust the products that have 5 star reviews on their website. They haven't posted my 1 star review for something I purchased there. But the item has 5 stars across the board. The reviews are probably not from actual customers but from Lowe's themselves. I've caught this behavior from another business. It's rather bias to give yourself 5 stars. Lowe's sold me an item with a missing part. I'm not satisfied with their remedy. Don't trust these crooks.

My family and I have come to this Lowes on 83 Stewart for a few years to buy trees. It’s a family tradition. My mom purchases my tree, my sister’s tree and now my son’s tree. We go as a family. This year we were assisted by Jennifer. She was amazing. From assisting us in picking trees to her overall enthusiasm. She brought tears to my eyes with her seeing us as a family as how precious our tradition is to us. It felt like she was a part of the family

I've been here a few times for paint and other supplies, However today was a day I need to stock up on winter supplies. Manny and Loreal went above and beyond to help me . Honestly the entire staff IS AWESOME there are so many good employees here . I truly believe that this is one of the most under rated Lowes. They have Customer service skills, polite, humble. I’m giving one star because I was there today and couldn’t shop for what I needed because they let a dog in the store with his owner but it was NOT a service dog. The owner could barely control his dog, it was jumping everywhere and at people. This is insane and no one stopped him from Shopping in the store. That’s the crazy part. Lots of employees saw him. Lots!!!!! I’ll never come here again just because I didn’t feel safe in the store.

I think this store has upped its game with stellar customer service. During my last visit, we were greeted as soon as we entered the store. The greeter asked if we needed help with what we were looking for. He then promptly called for someone to assist. Next he watched to make sure that the person called came to help us. I was quite impressed with the customer service. We didn't to wander all over a big box store looking for items.

No disinfecting wipes or hand sanitizer at the entrance to the store. Inventory of cleaning supplies is fairly low and seems rather unorganized in its placement at the store. Aisles are mislabeled in many circumstances. They appear to be in the process of moving things around. Perhaps they will get it together later. This will not be my first choice in the future. Next time, I will try the Home Depot which is not too far from here.

Brand new appliances were installed in the home I purchased, days before closing in July 2023. Here it is September 2023 and my Frigidaire refrigerator does not work. Did I mention it’s brand new! I’m writing a review because there are NO technicians available to come out and look at my appliance, so I’m forced to wait. With a manufacturer warranty as well as an additional 3 year warranty purchased this is completely unacceptable!

I was sceptical at first but he told me in over 10years he had sold thousands of the item I purchased to individuals and not one came back saying it didn't work. So I purchased it based off what he said and he was right. I really appreciate his expertise...

I usually do not write reviews but I just had to this time. Bryon in plumbing is fanominal and gave my husband and I an excellent customer experience. He was extremely helpful and informative, also seemed very genuine about his job. I am definitely shopping at this location again as I usually order online, but I will be back here. Thank God that there are still great people in this industry and it does not go unnoticed.

I called in for a item check the lady could not locate the item. Even though on the site it says where is and it's in stock. So the site is lying ? Okay, so I asked for similar items she said we have a whole list you would have to come and see. Wow I live over a hour away. Why don't the lady in appliances want to do her job? This is why I called to save time and travel. I will be going to home depot by me now.

Had bad experienced at the register. Item was on sale cashier rings up as regular price notify her that the item is on sale she said she don't have to deal with this with people. There was no exchange of words simply put my other items in the car went back to take a picture of it and the tag. Where to find that it was on sale still display the disrespectful attitude. The line to check out is to the middle of the store and they only have 2 registers open. It has been this way the last 5 times I went. I just leave and go over to home depot on 87 and the dan Ryan. I went to Lowe’s today and was told it’s coin shortage credit cards only after waiting in line. I went back to Home Depot they took my cash. I guess they didn’t hear about the coin shortage.

Nice selection of plants at good prices. The people that work here are friendly too. It's a regular stop for me. I feel when I come here, they tend to have more unique plants than Home Depot nearby. Like harder to find varieties of plants. They also have a better selection of garden equipment than Home Depot. My review is based on the garden section only but it's a fun place to go to.

My visit was very frustrating. I cannot find help. When I did, I was sent me to the wrong aisle, I asked someone else, they sent ne to another wrong aile. I asked another, they just didn't know. There were plenty of managers and associates in the store, they had just finished their morning meeting. I felt that someone could have said, let me take you there. I left without my purchase.

I went first to Home Depot and asked for an electric laser room measurement tool, but they only had $160 ones and up. So I came to Lowe's, and they had two more that were $50 and $70, so more choices right there at lower prices and for regular folk, not contractors dealing with enormous spaces. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Will definitely go there first next time!

Management in the beginning was great they worked with me because I had a second job but as the years went on and managers changed the place seems to be going down. In the check line the cashier couldn't complete my transaction.Went to customer service she rung up my gifts cards had to wait for a manager to ask my a couple of questions. He was satisfied I was not a scammer. She rung up the cards had to wait for another manager for about 10 minutes to come and approve my purchase. It took more then 30 minutes. Won't be back.

It appears that they may be under staffed as there was typically more than two sets of customers following individual employees around the store waiting to be helped. The customer service is very poor. I returned an I'm which took almost 35 minutes to get service with only 1 person ahead of me. The line got long (10- 15 customers deep) because the staff walked by several times and made no attempt to assist including 1 manager. The staff is helpful and friendly, the store is always clean and well stocked and the garden center has a decent selection. I also used the order online and pick up in store.
