This is absolutely the worst Lowes I have ever been to. If you need to return something, make sure you have 15 or 20 minutes to spare, while they always seem to have plenty of people hanging around the returns desk, they seldom have more than 1 person actually processing returns. Check that the item you think you are buying is actually the item you are buying. Items get put back in the wrong place all the time. Also, Make sure if you buy something it was not a previous return. I purchased a sink only to bring it home and find it was bent. Purchased a track lighting set, was missing the toggle bolts that came with it. Was looking for a p-trap kit, found one that was open and obviously missing pieces. Found a complete set in the space for a different kit. Once I purchased 6 2x4s. They won't just ring up 6 because, as it turns out 1 of the 2x4's was a different grade of wood and was put back in the wrong place. Most of the staff are very nice but find someone that can help you with a technical question is just about impossible. Check out lines...they have 8 self checkout stands. You will be lucky if 3 are open on any given day. The pro desk usually has a line of 4 or 5 people and they might have one manned checkout open at the most. Positive note, its usually easy to find carts and wagons and the bathrooms are clean.

I encountered a pleasant and helpful young man who maintained the cleaning supplies aisle. I turned into the aisle and he immediately asked me if he could help me. I told what I was looking for and he took me right 2 the shelves I needed. I continued on my journey to the kitchen cabinets section because I was looking for replacement shelf pins. The young immediately came once I pushed the help button. He explained that aisle 16 has the item I needed. I went the aisle and person who was supposed 2 be helping once he finished with the customer he was assisting. After 15 minutes another associate came to my rescue. She called him to see if there was a different color than brown. He told me he forgot about me and my reply was "I know". Finally I can pay and go. I get 2 the register area and there is NO ONE performing cashier duties. The young lady (mind you there were several standing around) said go to customer service or lumber area which at the end of the store. My car is parked by the entrance and I refuse to venture in the opposite direction. The only register open was self service. I don't recall applying for a position at Lowe's so she scanned my items. The last straw was I could not get my military discount because the register was jacked up. I shall return 2morrow for my discount. USMC, Semper Fi!

Omg ! Dylan , Nathaniel and Dytia has by far the best custom service I have ever witnessed . They helped me so much with my selection for my bathroom Reno. Nathaniel and Dytia for starters went above and beyond to help me look for products that best met my needs . They were so helpful and so kind . They went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed and for the things that I could not get at that store they helped me locate it at another location . Dylan !!! Go Saints !!! He helped me locate a toilet and went all the way up on the thingy to get it and unpacked it ! He helped so much . I truly appreciate the hard work and customer service skills they showed . They definitely displayed the true meaning of hard working employees that go above and beyond for customers needs . I truly appreciate all of their help and am beyond grateful . S/O to them and S/O to Lowe’s for higher such stand up folks ! Lastly guys yes ! I did make it to the other location 15 mins before they closed which was a Miracle!!! Got everything I needed all thanks to you all .

We travel from NC to CA all year long with our business. We always choose Lowe's to shop at. We also stay in the parking lots with zero issues. I was first told they had no manager working per the team leader that answered. After she asked why I needed a manager. Also that no one would be no manager there until in the morning. This turned out to be a flat out lie. Then we were denied by Jasmine the manager (that didnt exist per the team leader), because their gates locked. We explained we do not go in the back. We just shop, sleep, and leave before they open. Jasmine, the manager that answered was rude. Cut me off many times and is the first and only Lowes Home Improvement that has denied us in three years and over 60 nights. As a past employee of Lowes also, I never have had this experience. It may be the last time we shop there again. I would take your business elsewhere. There are some coaching opportunities in that location.

I have been trying to schedule an appliance delivery for WEEKS. I am out of state and cannot just drive to the store when they don't answer the phone. Continuosly redirected back to customer service when they do not answer in appliances, or they just hang up on me. Absolute WORST! Update: I was supposed to have it delivered on Tuesday and no one showed, or called. I went to the store yesterday, March 10th, and stood in Customer Service for over an hour trying to return the stupid stacked Washer/Dryer. Since the purchase was made in December, I am unable to return it somehow. Nevermind, I never received it. I am absolutely furious. The girl said yesterday that I did not have to stay and she would call me when it was sorted and email the return receipt to me. She was on hold with the Lowe's IT department. IT??!!! WTH? Guess who never called and guess who still doesn't have a refund. Out over $1,400.

This is one of the worst Lowe's stores in the U.S. I pick up items from various Lowe's stores across the country and the customer service, due to poor management, is the worst I have ever seen. I've placed dozens of online orders here and it's actually easier and faster to go to the store and get the things off the shelves rather than waiting as employees walk off for ten minutes with no mention of where they are going. Orders are often indicated as ready, only to find upon arrival at the store that they have not been pulled. Even if the order is ready, it's a fifteen to twenty minute wait for someone to figure out what's going on. Ms. Rose in Customer Service is awesome. She's the glue that holds this place together but she cannot fix all of the employee problems. This store needs more people like Ms. Rose and it needs better management.

Nice Lowe's! Seems very large and has a lot of everything you want from Lowe's except for the electrical tools section. It was pretty pitiful. Almost nothing in it and what they have is mostly garbage no electrician would use as far as hand tools go. They had 2 pairs of knipex lineman pliers that are excellent tools but not a lot of people are familiar with the German company. It looked like Lowe's was phasing them out though, like they did with square D. Which leaves them with no tools worth buying. Nice multi meter selection though. Lots of employees working in every department it seemed except of course at the checkout. Still I didn't wait long either with a cashier or again when I went through the self checkout line. Get more cashiers or give me a discount for doing their job and I'll give them 5☆

ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS: Absolutely the worst customer service and delivery service I have ever received. Placed an online order on 7/12/23 with a scheduled delivery on 7/14/23. Waited all day for a delivery call. Zero calls received from Central New Orleans Lowe's. I called the national customer service line on 7/17/23 and they told me someone "should" contact me within 24hrs. If I didn't get a call back, I need to call back and they would escalate the issue. I finally received a call at 10:25pm on 7/17/23. I answered only to be hung up on. Called the next morning and was transferred to the "Shipping Coordinator's" phone. Surprise no answer. Buyers beware and avoid this store unless you enjoy dealing with substandard services. ***Still waiting***

Lowes on Elysian Fields provides the worst customer service and is very unresponsive. Most recently, I purchased new appliances and is still waiting for the rest of my order. The sales person indicated that there is a two week turn around and this is far from true. Yesterday, my refrigerator was delivered and the shelves are missing. We also paid for them to remove our old refrigerator and they did not. I called the store, they told me there is nothing they can do about the missing parts to my refrigerator, because it's out of their hands once they give the order to the 3rd party vendor. I cannot seem to get anyone on the phone. This is ridiculous.

The Lowe's store on Elysian Fields in New Orleans is absolutely the worst. Understaffed on 12/13/2021 at 11:30. One cashier in the main checkout section and one cashier at the pro desk. No staff to help in the hardware section. I get to the register with some bolts and washers in the cashier doesn't know how to look up the three letter identifier on the item to ring up. She tells me that I have to go hunt around the store to find somebody to give me item numbers. I was willing to try to walk her through and teach her how to do it but she wasn't having it. As a general contractor I could tell you that I hate Lowe's, absolutely hate going to Lowe's.

This store has the rudest employees and managers don’t want help!!!! When you ask for a manager, the response is “ we got lots of managers” who you want!?”. Store manager Joe Banks is never available!! Must have trained the employees to never bother him with petty customers complaining of faulty appliances sold at his store!! Way to go Joe!! I’ll let every veteran I can know that this store doesn’t care who you are they just treat everyone as a problem they don’t want!!! Lowe’s has lowered its standards by allowing this store to operate as it does!!!! Time to move over to HomeDepot at least they care about their customers!!!

It's okay. I go here because it is convenient. Too many day laborers hanging around. Staff is helpful when loading. Cashiers in the garden center are s l o w. Update FEB2023. Earlier today, SO MANY DAY LABORERS in the parking lot that it is difficult to navigate the parking lot. Loud speakers in the parking lot inform customers that Lowes is "watching" and protecting customer vehicles in the lot. Blasted in English and Spanish. Update; I do not know why I come here. I went online to search for products, was informed there were many in stock, then when I arrive the shelves are empty. No exaggeration.

When I come into Lowe’s, I like to be in and out. I needed a copy of a key. I went straight to the machine and it had a sign that read “ find an associate to copy a key” or something of that nature. After I rolled my eyes at the sign, I turned around, and Ms. Rhonda was already on the floor working on a project. I greeted her and asked if someone could help me make a key. She immediately stopped what she was doing (which is unusual for many retailers) and made the key. She patiently waited while I chose a design. I greatly appreciate it Ms. Rhonda, you saved me so much time!

Hassle free experience as usual. The store closed while I was having a can of paint tinted. The attendant took his time with my request. I didn't feel rushed at checkout. The assistant manager patiently waited with a smile for me to get myself and merchandise together so she could let me out. Reassuring me as I crossed the store exits threshold not to feel bad because I was keeping them from completing their closing duties. Her word's were "customer's come first on my watch!" "That disenfectant ain't going nowhere!" I laughed all the way to the car. Happy New Year Reader's!

I'm new to new orleans so the crowd of ppl by the road when you pull in kinda weirded me out. But they are very nice in that location & I've always been a straggler when they closed. They were still polite. But don't be a straggler cause I said that lol. They close at 11 I do furniture refinishing and Restoration etc. So naturally I love going in here to buy paint, stain, poly, etc. I didn't buy the items pictured I painted them. The cabinets pictured are on display at this location though. I took pics to remember the colors for future products.

I purchased a washer/dryer on 3/1/23. According to my receipt and the phone call I received on 3/7, my new washer/dryer was supposed to be delivered 3/8/23 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.. I WAITED at the rental unit, no delivery, no call, no nothing. No one answers the "associate" phones. There seem to be no managers, I let one phone ring for over 10 minutes with no answer....nobody will answer the phones there. I have no washer/dryer and no word on when I might. We have a contract, in writing which was not fulfilled. Extremely poor service I'd say.

Do It Yourself stores where you could ask folks questions about your project became Home improvement warehouses, and the assistance, sales people, or whatever they are called seemed to be raked in off the street. Rude often, unhelpful, always, and just plain have no idea what or where or how to do, solve, or locate anything in the store much less help you with your project. This place is the worst of them. I waited an hour to buy a washing machine and they still could not solve the problem. they neither want your money nor your presence.

Nothing like the positive and productive experience I had at the Jefferson location. I was wondering if it was even the same chain! Took three times questioning a different associate as to the location of a particular spray can product. I was even offered a “used” can that didn’t even work, as the top was missing. Took forever to get a key made after approaching two associates. The Jefferson store was so professional, but this one you had to fend for yourself practically. Will not return to this location.

The store is always neat and clean. Someone is always there to greet you when you're leaving out. On the o went they were not very pleasant, and DEFINITELY not helpful. We are doing some remodeling to our home, and I had to get a few things, when i asked for help from 3 different workers and they basically were like i don't know, or I'm about to get off ask someone else to help you. Still with all those attitudes i would still go there just because it's more convenient for us.

My fiancé and I went in on 1/16/22 to order some blinds and we were told that the person for that department was gone for the day & Knate overheard the conversation and offered to help. He actually stopped what he was doing and gave us his undivided attention. Knate was so helpful and knowledgeable and answered all questions we had and even made suitable suggestions. We were extremely pleased with the service and would definitely come back and ask for Knate.

I had a complicated return and Jordan, one of the managers, was able to help me get it resolved. He went above and beyond to make sure the issue was taken care of and I was able to get my money back. Jordan was also super respectful every time I spoke to him. In addition to Jordan, all of the employees were responsive when I called and were able to get me to the right person when I needed help. I will definitely be using this Lowe’s again. Best in the city!

Not the finest retailer for home improvement. By definition the brand conveys a level of aptitude for everyday Home owners and professionals. And yet the aisles and merchandising truly speaks for the brand. Improvement is being kind to say Lowes needs to relearn the art of retailing and servicing the customer. Walked in Lowes not sure, what I needed. Went to the plumbing aisle to try to figure out what I might need to fix my toilet. Two plumbers were on the aisle. I must have looked confused. They asked what I was trying to fix. I explained my problem. They handed me what I needed to fix it and sent me on my way. My toilet works fine. I was able to fix it myself with a little free advice from Lowes customers and under $30.00.

Usually I am quite satisfied with Lowe's...the paint Dept let me down today. No one in line ahead of me, the guy working there just kept on doing about 4 cans of paint for no one while I stood there for a good 5 minutes. Purchased my 3rd Brondell Swash Ecoseat. I recently moved and left the two in Kentucky. Never thought I'd miss something so much. Easy to install, cost effective and definitely cuts the toilet tissue bill in half. Best bathroom investment I've made. I've become one of those people who wait to get home to go to the bathroom. Waited months for an estimate for a generac system, when the one guy finally showed up he tells us the electrician could not come, he then measures the circumference of my entire yard for some reason then and leaves. I had to beg for the estimate and when I finally received it 2 weeks later it was 4x more than what the generator costs with no itemized cost breakdown. A total waste of my time!

My experience was amazing. Rene helped me find all the supplies for my plumbing project and even walked me through the process to make sure I had everything and I knew what I was doing. I moved to New Orleans about a year ago, so I have been going to the Elysian Fields location often getting things for my house. The Store Manager is doing a fantastic job, because the Staff here are top notch. I had to return and few items today and was immediately helped by a woman named Mildred. Very nice and very efficient. This is a great location to shop at.

Shop here often, but today was bad.. Never had been the best at customer service. Today I needed help. Rang their call button 3 times. No one showed up. I tried to tell the cashier. The store fired an employee who was one month away from retirement. For the employee speaking up about a safety issue. Although they did put in her paperwork that she quit the day prior even though she stayed the entire shift. And never voiced that she was going to quit. They did that to avoid having to pay for severance and her PTO. Never shop here

Finding someone to help you is almost out of the question. The employees are usually walking around talking to each other. If you ask an employee a question, you might get an I don't know reply. They don't have the courtesy to say, I don't know but let me find someone who does know. They just walk away and go back to doing whatever. Bad management.

Although Lowe's has a nice selection of products, the customer service is extremely inadequate. Went to purchase a dryer and was passed around to 3 employees before they could get an invoice. Usually you're treated better when making a high dollar purchase. I guess they don't realize that all those purchases are supplying their paychecks

The young girl at self check out seemed like she didn't want to help. I told her a plant I had was marked down and instead of saying I will take care of it she just walked over made the price right. I had to look at the screen to see the price change. I know it was late but that was rude. Other than that I had a good experience.

The best part of this visit was a really nice African American young man who was so polite and offered to assist me to my car with my purchase. After offering him a tip, he said to me "no thank you I am just doing my job". Of course I insisted. Big thumbs up goes out to his parents for raising such an amazing young Black male.

Average. I like them but nothing special. I use them pick up goods when I don't want to hit up Home Depot in Central NO. I did buy a stove April 2019 and it doesn't work. Noway in he'll do I ever go back to that nasty, over run by people in parking lot looking for work. Drinking,fighting,smoking dope and just having a day party. I ordered a dryer to be delivered, and it was not delivered on the day it was supposed to. Lowe’s has been unable to resolve this issue. I am very disappointed.
