Lumbini Park

It is a small park adjacent to Hussain Sagar. You can take Hussain Sagar boat ride from this place. There was a huge line for boating during my visit, also the boats were very crowded, so I avoided it. The entry fee for this park is Rs 20/- and you have to stand in a unruly crowd queue for tickets. As this park is located at the prime tourist location of Hyderabad, so it remains very crowded. Also the water of Hussain Sagar lake near the park stinks, you will Sewage-like Odor if you go near water. Also I felt that the park is not that well maintained. There is a 30 minutes audio visual laser show during evening hours, tickets can be purchased separately inside the park. Each ticket costs Rs. 80. As per my observation the Laser show was the best experience of the park. I gave one star more only because of the Laser show.

Perfect place for relaxation and amusement, Lumbini Park has been named after birthplace of Siddhartha who later came to be known as Lord Buddha. The park is part of the Buddha Purnima project of Hyderabad Urban Development Authority. One of the most well-liked activities at Lumbini Park is boating. Guests can enjoy the stunning view of the park and the city skyline while taking a leisurely ride on the lake. Speed boating, automated boating, and Bhagamati boating are just a few of the different boating alternatives that are offered. The laser show timings at Lumbini park is 7.15 pm on weekdays, while on Saturday and Sundays, two laser shows are held at 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm respectively. Laser show tickets are priced at Rs. 50 per person, while the entry fee for park is only Rs. 10 per person.

This is the place from where you can take boat to the Buddha Statue. There are different types of boats that can be hired but it is only the mechanized boats that stop and allow you to alight near the Buddha statue. The tickets @ Rs.50/head cost the least among all categories of boats. The camera charges are very high-Rs.1000 but you can shoot with your mobile. In the evenings at 7.30 pm there is a laser show. There is a small children park as well. Near one of the exits is a small food court as well. Parking is available on other side of the road near the Secretariat.. Laser show and musical fountain are highlight here. It was of a great standard. I went there when I was a kid and post that now because my family was here and te husband of a cousin who recently got married was excited to go to the Buddha statue in the Hussain Sagar Lake. We took the speed boat from Lumbini Park. It was sad to see how a beautiful park has been ruined. Not cleaned, no maintenance, contaminated water everywhere, I hygiene. But the boat ride was good if you can simply spend a little while in the water ignoring the foul smell that the tank bund usually has. Over all, in the rainy weather, the views were mesmerising and we loved the ride.

It's a beautiful place for families, kids, and picnics. Evening sunsets can be seen via boat and also near the statue. We can go boating, watch a laser show, there are food stalls where we can have some snacks. There were swings also for Adults and Kids, we can have rides also. It's a full pack picnic spot. Tickets are also cheap. Only one thing, buying ticket is not hassle free. Process is complex for those who don't have much knowledge about the scanning process and online payment. Overall a good place to go with friends and family.

Visited for the first time and did not find it particularly appealing. Development work is going on and large areas are inaccessible and/or covered with rubble. I visited on a Sunday morning, so none of the shops vending stuff was open. So no tea, coffee cold beverages nor snacks. The boating counter was open, and rates seemed to be quite reasonable. Hopefully, when all the development work is completed, it will look more appealing.

The seating arrangements and the crowd outside & nearby park is too alive. The night beauty and the fresh blooming air is awesome, can’t explain in numbers.

This Lumbini park is nice good situation of the Hyderabad city beside many other park. Here many activities boating travel from Lumbini park to the Buddha statue of the Hussain Sagar middle and also 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. the conduct laser showing different songs and it is one day family picnic and kids enjoyment evening time park heavy people's crowd. Evening time lighting and Hyderabad city lighting showing amazing.

Situated quite close to the famous standing statue of Lord Buddha and Hussain Sagar Lake, the largest artificial lake of Asia, the Lumbini Park is a place worth visiting. An apt place for relaxation, this park is visited by everyone. It is quite popular among kids. For kids, there are fun rides. It is more like a mini entertainment park right in the middle of the city, by the side of an beautiful lake.

Superb experience..we first went to the laser show...it was nice....Then by boat we went to the Buddha statue... It is best in the evening.... Many other things are there in the garden .. The view from the boat is also nice ... Neckless road, Buddha statue , new govt building , dr Ambedkar statue are located in nearby areas so u can see all of them from the boat....

Nice place for kids,they enjoy laser show and boating,there's some nice small street shopping too where you can buy some pretty jewellery, oxidised neck pieces,etc. food inside is expensive,better eat outside on the street and enter to enjoy

A must visit in the evening.. It has boating, laser show, sight seeing to the Buddha statue right In middle of Hussainsagar Lake. The laser show is a must watch.. Boating to the Buddha statue right in between on the lake along with the city when lit up is a sight to behold... Very well maintained by the staff and government... Pls keep up the good work

Gets better by evening, someone shall visit for paid fun activities such as boating in Hussein sagar lake, rain dance, laser show and many more. It has few Food options as well to try inside. Nearby walkable attractions include Birla Mandir, High Court, necklace road, NTR gardens, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Statue etc.

Very low entry fees. Disastrous parking management (had to park our car on the side of the main road). Very long wait time for boating during holidays (~1Hr), but the ride lasts about 10 mins depending on the type of boat, and is a pretty fun experience. The "Break-Dance" ride was a little too aggressive for kids.

Great place in the centre of Old city in Secunderabad with a beautifully built Secretariat on one side and the mighty Budha Statue on the other side. Good place for recreation for family and friends but the bad smell from the water at Tank bund.

Took the Boat Ride at Hussain Sagar Lake. Dance boat costed Rupees 100 Per Person. Speed Boats and other deluxe boats are available at higher prices. The Laser Show is a must watch one. Wholesome experience.

It is a good place for a short Weekend fun. You can enjoy the rides, the sunset, the stalls and this is the place from where you get tickets for the boat ride for the Buddha statue. Overall it was a good experience.

The park is awesome and charges are too high but water fountain is awesome with colorful lights.

Amazing place for boating which is 50rs and takes us to the biddha statue middle of the lake. It's worth visiting in evening and good to watch laser show. It's good place to relax with children's.

Great place for boating and we went there at night, it is open till 9:30pm. Boating was great but we stayed only for 30 mins,, they should have allowed us to stay for more time.

A must visit place in Hyderabad. The laser light show was the most recommended in Lumbini park garden. The 3D experience will give you goosebumps during the complete lazer show.

The park is very well maintained and the activity and rides are also very good. Keeps the person occupied. However the boating is not recommended due to dirty water.

Its a good place to enjoy with family. Lots of stalls inside and has a laser show. iN back side of the park there is a boating point to the Buddha statue.

You can take boat trip from here, the entrances fee for adult is 20 inr/per person. Nice view of Hussain Sagar.There is free clean drinking water filter.
