Always something with MTA service but I guess that is part of public transportation. I just wish ppl understand that a seat is not an entitlement, you pay for a ride! Stop squeezing in between ppl making everyone uncomfortable so you can sit on the edge. We are all tired and want to sit, but want to sit comfortably so wait for an empty seat so you too can sit comfortably. Also move in the cart when entering the train, stop standing blocking the door this delays service. Last but not least, keep your cell phone away for ppls face when their sitting and your standing in front of them, like really that's so disrespectful. No different than putting your hands in someone else's face. No reason to, period. Thank you!

MTA: The Lost city of the Homeless and mentally ill. Pay for the experience of a lifetime. See the wonderful artwork in every station, in its currently unmaintained condition. Feel melancholy as you imagine each station how it must have looked in its prime, and knowing that it could still be, if the management wasn't too greedy pocketing all the fares. Feel the adrenaline rush as the train barrels into the station, knowing that at any moment, one of the stations tenants may push you into the tracks. Feel defeated like the rest of NYC as you give in to the fact that we have no choice but to pay, just for the honor of riding in a century old death trap that's falling to pieces.

Lovely place to visit. Open to tourists and commuters. It's more easy to navigate through your Google map application and the MTA Subway apps. The NYPD are always around to ensure Safety and give directions to tourists. Don't be shy to approach any of the Police to ask for direction. They are easy to approach and cute to response with lovely smiles and respectful manners. Everyone loves their phones here and most times, most people keep to their phones. Be observant of your environment and if you see anything something, always say something. That is the language of New York State everywhere you go.

  • Abdou Njie

With all fairness, the MTA has done a remarkable job to keep the trains and buses running all throughout the worst period of the covid 19 pandemic. Having to do this and to carry out the governor's orders of routine cleaning of the trains must have been a daunting task but one so required by the period we currently are living. And they have done a great job keeping all of these to standards and deserved a pat on the back. For clarity, this is not only the 4, 5 and 6 lines but the other lines too. It is true that before all of these, the subway was an eyesore. Am happy there's been an improvement.

Being not from NYC originally, the pain of terribly underfunded public transport escapes most people that live here. Whereas every bus was an hour and a half wait where I came from, people here seem to think being 2 minutes late on a 5 minute arrival schedule is a big deal. NYC public transport truly is a wonder to behold, and that feeling of awe I get when I realize no matter where I go or end up in NYC, a station is a short walk away. A fine trade off for having to deal with insane people and the smell of piss. I can live with that.

  • Talia Vega

Such a mess. Gets you from point A to B most of the time. However, there's nothing but delays here the past few weeks. You'll find the 4, 5 and 6 MTA train lines here alongside Mickey Mouse and his family. The station is always filthy and littered with trash. You will almost always find homeless or possibly mentally insane people here. I feel bad for the homeless here however, sometimes they cause issues to delay trains or cause full fights between them and others making the station unsafe for everyone.

Lately there has been a conductor around 6am 6line blowing in the loud speaker about his OPTIMISITIC word of the day. He means we'll but he's loud and it's early and I'd prefer to hear that from a professional recording by the mta metro then some guy trying to change the world one morning at a time. Besides that I enjoy the frequent 6express and local switch up I hope one day we implement something for the homeless people provide them with a shelter or something.

  • Rafael Monroy-Rojas

The 4, 5, 6 trains are really useful and the express service is amazing, but there are so many delays. I've lived by the 6 train for years and it is so unreliable (for NYC standards, at least; I don't think I've ever waited more than 30 mins for a train). It gets 3 stars because the trains looks good and their usefulness cannot be overstated, but I can't give it any more stars due to the delays and overall dirtiness of about half of the stations.

  • E Santana

Parking is an issue in the city so most of us have to use the busses and trains. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that transfers are not charged on the refillable metro card you purchase at the station. I recommend learning about the system first or travel with a local a few times. The stations passed on low income neighborhoods are filthy and dreary. Everyone travelling has a mask on. Travel courtesy, but no distancing was observed.

  • James Coward

This line is probably one of the hottest, muggiest lines next to the A,D,C line. It is quite possible to suffer heatstroke at any time. Most times, the trains are not even going on it's intended route, but instead, chooses which is it's last stop, kicks you off and instructs you to take some bus to continue your route. The wait times are relentless! Combined with the volcanic level heat, this route could end in disaster at any time.

  • Nicholas Peters

MTA subway 4, 5 and or 6 lines were having problems going their normal routes because of water (from a rainstorm that affected New York City) on Wednesday September 1, 2021. People who had to be rerouted on those lines to different stations and or buses to get where they needed to go if they had to. People adjust and adjusted to the issues. It was definitely an inconvenience to people on Wednesday (and Thursday and Friday also).

  • Dawn Moebus

MTA is so bad all over the city ..The subways are filthy with big rats the cars have rats in them. Then the congestion is unbelievable u can't get in or out of the cars .It's horrible and now they want to raise the fare unbelievable..Then u have the crime in on the trains in the subways. People r getting beat up for kno reason .It's barbaric and discusting some needs to do something about it cause the mayor isn't ..

  • Official_Lyft4Lyfe_Fitness #lyft4lyfe

Do NOT TAKE THE TRAIN IF YOU DON'T HAVE²! The N.Y.C. MTA subway system is in my opinion @it's most dangerous since the 80's/early 90's. The homeless and mentally ill have taken over the trains. People smoke on the trains now with no regard² other ppl or kids. Way ²much homeless ppl are living on the trains now. I would advise any¹ that doesn't have² travel by train to take the chance of traveling by train.

  • Extreme Heat

Very busy station at rush hours. The environment is loud and at times near crazy. Lots of mentally ill people who hang out at the station and homeless beggars at all times. Near constant police presence at the station, but as it's a big station you will never see them when something crazy is happening somewhere. Since it's a busy station, it can be safer after-hours on the plus side.

  • Billy Rivera

I think all train stations should have alot of seats and fountain water for people to drink. It's too hot in the summer. Why do we have to feel like we are walking in a desert...and on top of that have to stand. While waiting...give us a break...dam. we deserve that after coming from work or while going to work trying to just get a mourning eat. Daaaammnnn...

  • ELEO PACHECO

Was clean the only problem some people were not applying wear a mask mandate. Also someone going from car to car asking for money. Also annoying dancing group swinging on poles and foot prinring the ceilimg of teain car. Dancer get on express train uptown to 125 Lexington Ave they get off then head downtown. There action not wise during covid-19 pandemic.

  • Boss Lady

This is one of the worst subway stations...this Station is crawling with junkies and scammers trying to sell you rides to get on the subway...the constant fare jumpers is always available at this subway and when the police are working they look more afraid than the civilians..... the station also always has a dirty smell to it....

  • Mona P.

What's to say? It's NYC-MTA. Some stations are better than others. I w/say this is a little better than average since its never filthy and I don't recall smelling urine. It's a big station so there's usually a police officer somewhere, plus, going toward the N snd R line, there's a police precinct right inside the station.

  • Yalontya Simmons

Most of the time the platforms are too crowded and dirty. I understand the workers are doing their best to clean it, so I don't blame them, I blame the people who throw their garbage everywhere and those that think the station platform is a toilet. I have often had to put up with the nauseating stench of urine here.

  • mike perez

Homeless people smoking on the trains with pedestrian..Homeless people sleeping on the trains at all ours...Needles throughout 116th st 6line train station &125th..Transit cops are nowhere to be found. Don't stand near the platforms it's dangerous and always be aware of your surroundings. Stay blessed.

  • DR iCE Mind (dr_ice_mind)

Am so sad to see ho much money is lost and homeless use this trains as home not as transport and rats everywhere and also not that clean at all I think trains need more affection and attention urge security urge actions. Police also need to be on each platform this days alot crimes and no one do much

  • Steven Cebollero

6 train is still a mess cutting service at two different locations for absolutely no reason. First last stop is 138st 3rd Ave & second last stop is @ Parkchester. Very inconvenient as usual on the 6. 4&5 running on time, 1,2,3,7 on time this morning, no other noticable delays from Times square.

  • edwin martinez

Well at least now because of covid 19 the trains are not as crowded as they used to, usually always find a seat and don't see as many homeless people in them. I normally take the 4 and 6 trains, not sure about the 5 but they seem to not be as busy as the other two, guess they are good overall.

  • Cesar Rodriguez

They kept saying this is the last train at 125th Street and it kept getting crowded had to get out and grab a cab before I got the corona they shouldn't have so many people in one station if they're going to stop the train they should do it in different stations so it won't be overpopulated

  • Lourdes Lozada

I cringe everytime I have to take the 6 train at this station. You have to pass people on the streets who are drunk, high or hanging out near the entrance of the station begging for money! Half of the time they're laying on the ground high while the cops do nothing! It's just a shame!

  • Veronica W

Whenever I come into the city I prefer to travel via subway @mtasubway however today did not have the best experience. Come on please turn in the air conditioner in the train, I thought I was going to suffocate in the train. Make sure to bring extra water to be in the safe side …

  • Delbert Quintano

The 2 train going to 241st once It gets too 125st after that it seems the train just goes so slow in the Bronx always stopping for nothing it just sits There and its every day once the train gets past 174st its over Your going to sit there waiting If you don't believe me take the ride

  • Steve Valdez

NYC at it's best. It wasn't packed yet, 125th street station needs a months worth of bleach. Real bleaching. The one that stings the eyes. Lol Ppl the trains and worker's are the pulse of NYC. The trains are clean, extra clean & the staff will help you with directions if needed.

  • SID SIMON

Upstairs is a social petri dish of all manner of undesirable miscreants, drug addicts and assorted sordid riff raft. The train station is ALWAYS unbearably hot from March to November and bone chilling cold the rest of the year. AVOID THIS STATION ! ! ! STEAL A CAR IF YOU CAN! ! !

  • Aseity Deity

I honestly like the service. Yes, its kinda bad (Stains, homeless people, etc) but what can you expect for a 2.75 service? They tell you if there are delays and are fast. However, they should at least improve the speakers in the trains since its almost impossible to hear them.

  • Monique Minor

Great Fast Service They need to get rid of the sleeping homeless by giving a free metrocard ,directions on paper to homeless shelters, some clean people from the shelter get stuck there too. The Police are the friendliest on the Subways as well as quiet mta workers.

  • Annette R

So sad, the homeless folks has taken over, they have nowhere to go, that they feel safe smh. You see everything, mental, and sane just sad, train service is pretty decent, except late nights as usual. As in any and everywhere you go, just be careful, stay focused.

  • Abu

Its a train station. What's to say. It's reflective of the service of the MTA. Some areas are somewhat clean, yet the station caters to too much street elements. I recommend you be mindful of your surroundings and the people, because the entire place is unstable.

  • chills uwa

I'm theaters good been good throughout the years just a lot of problems with their bums living on the trains laying on the seats taking up all the seats bad enough we got to sit six feet away from each other MTA needs to regulate the 6ft distance in the seating

  • Will Koehrsen

A convenient subway location with access to most of Manhattan and the Bronx. The New York City subway is the fastest, cheapest, most efficient, and most enjoyable way to get around the city. The subway is always my recommended mode of travel in New York City.

  • Yagaira Delacruz

Lots of "crazy" people on this station. There are also lots of homeless people asking for money and turning aggressive when denied. Stay against the wall and be vigilant this is not a station to be relaxed in, be safe everyone. Avoid this stop if possible!

  • Octavia Hallett

They need to do better. The train stations are filthy so are some of the buses. They all these electric stations that are supposed to tell you when the next bus is supposed to come but only some of them work. The ones downtown work but the one uptown dont.

  • Abraham Ruiz

All people do is complain. The governor, the mayor, the board of directors. Nobody with authority does anything to fix prices, fix the tracks, and modernize the trains and stations. Honestly, it took a pandemic to make the trains run on time, what a joke!

  • Honesty Greene

Surprised!!! not clean! Not safe ! as should being-- 1one block from a police precinct & world reknown Mount sanai hospital ....103 stop is a crowded daily auction of swipes 4 sales, beggars and long jumpers over the turnstiles for free rides...

  • Hector Lopez

Like I said before all the trains are very clean everybody using a mask and if I was you I take the local train we take this press Train everybody goes to this press training in a small pack but if you take the local train like I do it's okay

  • Lillian Pierce

The 125th street station, there's alot of addicts, homeless and crazy people on the platform. I don't see any cops around. Lots of people (especially guys) hanging out by the stairs and by the turnstiles. It really scareyto use that station.

  • taliah thompson

The #2 train is always going express in the middle of the day and on the weekends from 3rd avenue to East 180. I never see workers working on the track like they say. It is a big inconvenience and adds an extra half hour for my commute home.

  • Amanda R

Trains in New York are a lot more dependable then buses. For that, I give five stars. Nevertheless, a tourist should be kept wary as there is always a chance for things to change. There are millions of people in New York City, so it is

  • Felix Cruz-Garcia

It is an important train station where three trains converge, going from Manhattan to the Bronx, and vice versa. There is also connection for the Metro North trains, that go to the Suburbs, and for a bus to la Guardia Air Port

  • Charles Y

Five stars for train conductor Rodney Fleming who is informative, speaks clearly and brightens the day with positive comments. More Rodney Flemings would boost ridership. Ratings stars are deducted for crime and homelessness.

  • Porsha Bruno-Detouche

I absolutely hate the trains, but it gets you where you have to go. The 4 train is very good I experienced less delays than the 5 train. The 6 is pretty good, but I really need that 5 train to stop running into distractions.

  • I'malwayssunnyevenwhenitrains

Everyone who lives or has ever lived in nyc, knows that public transportation is an embarrassment to the economy. If parking wasnt so hard to come by, I would never use this system again. Mediocre is obviously the new norm.

  • Dee Rivera

It's a Bronx MTA station.... They're not and never will be as nice as the stations in Manhattan... expect nothing from stations located in the outer boroughs except frequently running into drug addicts and homelessness...

  • Garrison Pease

The station is filthy, and incompletely cleaned on its "clean" days. Loiterers and soiled individuals are always present, regardless of stay-at-home orders, essential workers only guidelines, and New York on PAUSE orders.

  • Trina Zeigler

Service is convenient and on time most of the time during rush hour but way too crowded. Need to improve the service with better more moderate trains to allow space for the thousands of people who ride on a daily basis.

  • Jonathan Morales

I take the 4 often but the between the inconsistencies on times, the back forth of express to local changes and the what I call "crazy train people" this has become a headache at times. 60% of the time trains are fine.

  • Yahfee Yisarelite

Cops patrol the platform, there are elevators, reliable service,it maybe a long wait on late night weekends compare to weekdays but you will get to where you need to be upstairs are uptown trains downstairs are downtown.

  • Zas

Too many ppl from the shelters hang in side n around this train station 125. Have seen ppl getting high there. Just make sure if u r there or going there u keep your eyes open n make sure to secure all your belongings

  • Nichonar Peters

Terrible. Always crowded. For every one 6 train, there are at least four to five 4 and 5 trains, making these platforms way too overcrowded for what we as New Yorkers pay for the service. I must get the H out of NYC.

  • Michael McBride

Pretty good. But I know it's only above average compared to normal travel because of the current pandemic. Less people traveling, less traffic, more room to move about, less upsets from random problematic people...

  • Nebiyu Messele

There are homeless people sitting on the steps. Downton service was unavailable on the 6 train at 143rd street. I had to go uptown to huntspoint to catch the downtown 6 train. As a result I missed my 11:30 PM bus.

  • Carlos E Hernandez

The L N R W Q 5 6 lines are lines I use to work to home on Whitlock ave 6 line 5 line to 174 st another route home L train to graham Ave to my mom who houses my dogs father n son pets baby n shababy Jr his son

  • John F Aaron

Mta are the biggest crooks they have the nerve's to try and raise the fare because the thief and commander won't help them so your making the riders pay more for bad service and workers with bad attitude

  • semaj johnson

Socks need major improvement always somhappung on the 4 or 6 train doesn't matter weekend or weekday...too crowed always got some type of delay..to get from one side of the Bronx to the other a hassle

  • Corin Perdomo

Worse trains ever always crowded, always filled with homeless people( nothing against the homeless but sometimes it's just alot). Overall could really use work. I am grateful that the 4,5 is express.

  • Tara Filosa

Dirty and the homeless/mental/addicts just walk around smoking their K2 like it's legal. They ask for money constantly and are yelling and screaming. I have seen things that I never thought I'd see.

  • Gladys Garcia

The system is old so there are many signal issues that cause delays. The 4, 5, 6 line is a little better than other lines. The announcements are clearer and apparently more on time than other lines.

  • John Ludewig

Service is slow paced. Nightly construction on 4 line between Woodlawn and 125 with only a shuttle running means you have to get to 125 before 1230 otherwise you run the risk of walking from there.

  • Cherita Taylor

The Mta treats us like STEPKIDS in Mott Haven. After 9pm ,the trains last stop ✋ is 138th & Willis ave,Ave, shuttle bus is SUPPOSED TO BE AT THE SPOT BUT we end up walking or taking a cab.

  • Louie Calderon

The MTA is the worst, I have ever seen on weekends. With all their lies about doing track maintenance. They don't really care about the passengers and everything so inconvenience for all..

  • Beaubrun Pierrot

They doing ok But need to better With them train.services no good you have to wait for the train to burd Utica ave always a holding. That need to stop. In i have an idea to share with MTA.

  • Flor “Poochu” Lugo

Trains Are Running Well ... Rules Are Being Followed As Far As People Complying With The PPE Regulations ... Which Makes Things less Erratic On The Subway Rides... More Comfortable ...

  • Jonathon K (JayKay)

It was so crowded on the 4 and the 5 it was absolutely insane, packed in like sardines! I really don't think that's good for preventing the spread of the delta variant COVID 19 hazard

  • Johnnie Brooks

The transportation part is fine, it's just disheartening to see so many homeless people there with psyche and substance abuse issues as the dealers are there like it's Legal!!!!!!!

  • Melara McGinn

This is a berry bad train station police unit don't do nothing to prevent the insides around 125 street to 124 , ,123 ,120 and every wear police in that please's the are a Joke

  • Justin Simmons (Yella)

Always on time more than often back to back train but be careful not to get on the express which is the red diamond the green circle is local I had to learn that the hard way

  • Brian Brian

the experience will be better without the crazy/homeless people living on the train. sometimes the trains are not running in the correct line like the 6 train very recently

  • Juliet Ansley

The stations r fill with Home less people a person has to Becareful in these Stations and it's not so nice for people working on the weekends they r always doing TRACK WORK

  • A Martínez

Did not feel safe at all people sleeping in the Subway cards of the station no security whatsoever And not a lot of trains running midnight And Subway cards always crowded

  • luis hernandez

The city has to do something regarding the epidemic of homeless and mental health. Mta always insist on raising the fare but are failing to provide us with a safe travel.

  • Lisa GG.

Love the new train turnstiles, used google pay on my phone which was super easy, no need to take out my bag or wallet.... Free hands love it.. …

  • Luisa Keene

Need clean and more Police around ,we are NOT SAFE ANYMORE, I take the sudway every day for the past 20 years, Homeless at the train sleeping the smells is ridiculous

  • David Middleton

Good an have pleasant an Please stop making the min for the train long be on time would yall able to do that please? Thanks bye …

  • John Franco

Dirty smelly annoying riders lazy obnoxious booth clerks when seeking information selfish riders hogging seats no police prescient take a scooter or bike better off

  • Joseline Mejia

Those subways lines are the best in the city of New York. Always on time, clean, the only thing I don't like is that sometimes there's people sleeping on the train.

  • June Bug

Here's as honest as I can be. I'm from New York and the MTA is crucial to get around without a personal vehicle of your own. But dammmmnnn MTA service is horrible.

  • trudie Ingram

Love the 6 line, easily able to move around and it rides alone. The 4 and 5 are good to when the are on separate lines. But all in all, I love the subway system.

  • Christina Boynes

Its unfortunate that the mentality ill make this area there stomping grounds. Keep your eyes open at this station. It's always well lit but usually over crowded

  • Steveson Nurse

For several reasons I like this place, it not crowded its clean and customers friendly and if you can't afford the fair they'll help you very courteous workers.

  • CJ Rains

It's not bad, they're usually on time, and they are outdoors where I get on so it doesn't smell like pee and it's not covered in rats until it gets underground

  • Hernando Caicedo

As a NEW YORKER I'm happy that improvements to this subway lines are on schedule. . . The transit schedule thru the holidays were a success ... THANKS MTA !!!

  • Ms. Wallace

Service much better as for timing and police presence. Cloud of smoke from working train at 125th UNBELIEVABLE. OVERALL 70% better service and communication

  • Philip Koch

It's so crowded. It's so dirty. And there is one woman who is so mean. You speak to her and she gives you nothing but attitude! She issues the MTA tickets.

  • mel bias

Mta is terrible stuck on the train at a standstill in July 6 for an hour and it happened. Again on July 19th at 5 50pm it has been a cluster fk forever

  • Michael James Miller

This is 68th st station. Hunters college. Neat Little seating area with glass windows overviewing the tracks so you can know when your train is coming

  • Sandi Ricozzi

They're giving out all these tickets...where is the money going. July 6th six trains not working properly cuz of communication problems. What a joke.

  • Herbert Evans

Transit trying to get around town that's the way to go be prepared but you don't have to worry about driving and finding a parking spot this is good

  • Tina Johnson

Just as hectic and dramatic as you remember, or may soon learn. It can be chaotic with people, since it a major hub.Train service was MTA reliable.

  • Nancy Capo

MTA is raising prices on travel but does not have the elevator clean. MTA still needs to work on cleanliness and transfers onto buses or train.

  • Jason Main

They really need to fix the congestion on the 4, 5 and 6 .... there's no such thing as elbow room unless you literally get on at the first stop

  • Lize Tise

42 street station looks great with renovations. Go up on the 6 lines Brook 143rd 149th stations looks like no repairs have been made in years.

  • TATU “TATU XMEN” XMEN

It's a friggin subway station, not much to say..umm it was clean, no human waste on the platform the train was on time ‍♂️ …

  • Eduardo Rojas

This are the crowdest trains during rush hours even if they run 5 minutes apart from each other! Plan ahead of time, enjoy free "showtime"!

  • Fiqirete Rexhaj

Everyone who needs a fast travel in the city of NY should use sabway it's easy, clean, cheap and you don't have to worry about the parking

  • Alex Abramowitz

Very unorganized. You can get in the train 6 and then get dropped after a stop or two then join another train 6 again. Very inconvenient.
