Started from carpark. Walked along Mac Creek by the boundary. Then we took the Ruins Track. Had a sidetrip to Orchard Dam where we were lucky to see some robins come down for a drink. Then joined Mac Creek again and ended up on Hut Track. Really enjoyed the walk and would love to do it in Spring.

A bit hidden if you're not looking for it off Humbug Scrub Rd. Car park is usually pretty busy - about 9 cars would fill it up. However you can usually find a spot in the car park or on the side of the road. Beautiful hike spot as well!

Lots of uphill, but not a grade 4 hike. Probably a grade 3.5. If you go, head clockwise, and shorten the walk by walking across on the ruins trail. It's about 4.5kms.

Not a huge place to park but it's out of the way of the main parrawirra car parks so usually isn't that busy. Great spot to begin a round trip hike.

Nice walk along Mack Creek from here...too bad the old YHA Nissen Hut has been removed...we need more accomodation along the Heysen Trail...not less

It wonderful trail its full of bends up and downs a true test for anyone's fitness did u know it was part of the old Mt Lofty Trail

5 stars if it gets made bigger. Glad the entrance has been repaired. Great place to park to go for a trot around the track

Good track for mountain bike. Surrounding tracks in Para Wirra Park are all enjoyable.

Room for a dozen cars.. Mack Creek has an really picturesque hike. A hidden gem
