Pros: large and well stocked store, 1 awesome employee, clean dressing rooms Cons: poor communication and bathroom cleanliness, umable to help with simple requests A few months ago I had a worker hold something for me until I could come up from the southside. The woman on the phone told me what register it would be at. My husband and I went that evening, asked if the item was at the register. We were told no, but where the item was. I couldn't find what I needed in my size but found something I thought would work. When we were at the register we were on the other side and my husband saw the items that were set aside for us. He pointed them out and the lady gave them to us and it was exactly what I needed. So one awesome employee grabbed the itens I needed. There was poor communication anout where the item was and the worker behind the register didn't search hard for the items. The bathrooms were trashed when I went into them. We went the other day and I needed to change my daughter, then we would look at clothes. Restrooms were MUCH cleaner but none of the dispensers had soap and the canisters were just sitting on the counter. I forgot my wet bag and my daughter had a blowout. I asked a worker for a plastic bag and was told they don't give them away to people. I understand the policy but I wasn't going to shop there with a gross outfit just sitting in my diaper bag. I also wasn't going to just quickly buy something to get a bag.4

I am surprised by some of the good reviews I’ve seen about the store. Yes, it used to be a great place to shop. They do still have some good sales. But over the last few months, I’ve tried to go shopping there several times and it is in complete disarray every single time. Clothes are everywhere, all over the floor, obviously they’re understaffed and there’s nobody to put the clothes where they’re supposed to be. It’s a mess and I think Macy’s should be embarrassed about the product they are presenting. The last straw for me was when I tried to take a pair of pants back… I had taken the tags off by mistake and realized the pants didn’t fit so I just wanted to bring them back and exchange them for another pair. The guy at the service desk scolded me because he said “we can’t take pants back if the tags are off… We will do it this time, but just remember next time we’re not going to do it.” Then he scanned the tag and apparently I was about 3 days late returning it, so he said we couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t even exchange it. I’m done with Macy’s. I don’t know of one other place where I shop that would’ve give me any issue with that return/exchange. So Macy’s is losing a long time customer. Who knows how many thousands of dollars I’ve spent there over the years and they are losing this customer over a $80 pair of pants.

I really hate to give a 1 star review but I personally feel this is valid. Went inside Macy today to return a Michael Kors jacket for my husband. Never worn wanted to do even exchange or store credit for the lesser amount. Had no idea that Macy's decided to change their return policy. The jacket was brand new tags still on the jacket. Just wanted a store credit or even exchange. We had to wait for the store Manager Joe to come. Right away in a rude voice he said no. Really did not give me the time explain at all. There was a lady that was waiting for him as well. Now this is where it gets interesting. Joe the manager wind up returning her undergarments used bra & underwear. Now from my understanding you're not allowed to return undergarments unless they have tags on them and the hygiene strip is still there. This lady had neither so Imagine my surprise and shock. Even the customer service agent told her no since the Undergarments were used. I just looked at the customer service agent and left We were both in disbelief. How could Manger Joe return used undergarments but not a brand new jacket

I can't give 0 stars? re: macys furniture department - stay away! most dysfunctional organization I've ever experienced. short version - order came with parts missing plus on one item plus one with a broken piece that really should have just been replaced with new one - but they are making us wait for parts and then schedule a service visit.. sales can't help, macys customer service doesn't know what is going on - some 3rd party delivery and service companies just decide to cancel because they don't have enough in area. had a dining room table sitting useless with no bolts to attach legs for a month - just got bolts send so we could put it together ourselves. still have a nightstand with broken drawer slides that are waiting on parts to repair and I'll bet money it won't be fixed correctly. has required multiple visits / waits and home / phone calls and going on 2 months don't have full use of our order

I’ll never shop here again the lady at customer service was very rude to me today 08/10/2021 (Older white hair with glasses ,skinny Caucasian) I had bought some sandals from upstairs . I got the wrong size I bought them a week ago ,she refused the refund and immediately assumed I didn’t buy them there when i literally had a receipt for them . She was snotty and she had no customer service skills at all she was old and cranky !!!! Why work at service desk if your not a people person and probably hates her job . She was sarcastic and she even told me ‘’ you want me to read the receipt to you ‘’ like really . What happened to Courteous and explaining things in a different manner . It must’ve been a stereotype type thing . I’ve been in customer service all my life and you don’t talk like that to people paying your paycheck no matter what the color of their skin is . After all we all bleed red blood !!

Great deals and styles and great perfume/cologne choices. Jehan in the men’s cologne department always helps me out and is always very attentive and professional. Her customers are always treated with a smile and she takes her time testing different smells to find the “right” one. Appreciate her dedication, you can tell she likes what she does and she always makes time for her customers to make sure her customers are satisfied. I only shop a few places In Castleton, but the few places I go always have items that interests me and Macy’s is one of them.

If I could give zero stars I would, I found a formal dress for a gala that I am attending this week. Macy's did not have the perfect accessories for the dress I intended to buy, so I asked the cashier in formal wear if there was a Nordstrom in Castleton Square, she raised her voice at me and asked what do you mean, why would I help you go to Nordstrom then she loudly told another woman about our conversation about how ridiculous my question was, I returned the dress to the display and ledt

Furniture service is atrocious. Do not shop here. Ordered a mattress and box spring well over a month ago. Delivery was delayed a week even though they’ve had several weeks head notice, and then after that week goes by, they tell me two days before the scheduled delivery I had to clear my schedule for, it was delayed another week. Horrible store. Called employee who sold it to me, he was dismissive. Can’t wait until Amazon destroys this company. Would give zero stars if I could.

Great sales! Huge selection! The toys r us section has stuff I haven't seen anywhere else. The backstage section is very affordable but name brand items with decent quality. The finish line in Macy's has better stuff then the regular finish line store. The perfume selection is great for women and men. The jewelry is nice too! The mattress on the top floor are GREAT!

  • Frank Rush

Store was clean and large. I understand it is one of their flagship stores. Selection, like most department stores, is pretty limited when it comes to business casual, especially for women. Since Macy's bought out most other department stores, or the other stores went out of business, they don't really have any competition.

  • Ellé

I like Macy's.... online. Hard to find help in store. If you shop jewelry be prepared to wait a while. The same for the shoe department. I went to pick up some MK sandals and had to wait for one person to service at least 10-12 customers. The staff was nice but gosh I will have to take my chances now and order online.

If you have any fragrance needs (men/women/gender neutral) go see Debbie! She is amazing. She helped me and my friend get the perfect gifts and also some for ourselves!! Plus her and another gal (don’t remember her name) gave us all sorts of free samples! Will be back to see Debbie in the future.

This has to be one of the most frustrating websites for finding items. Please, please look at other dept. Store websites and make some changes! If it ask me one more time to get directions for instance, I might scream...or when one has to enter the category of interest several times. Wow...

This location has one of the backstage sections. While it has a large selection of affordable clothing, the variation in types of clothing just isn't there anymore. I still recommend a visit. I enjoy that they have a pop up Toys R Us.

  • Sarah Solomon

I came here looking for a cocktail dress. Wide selection of dresses and price ranges. Found the perfect dress. The line was terrible. I was third in line and waited about 45 minutes. Cashiers were extremely slow. It was irritating.

  • Ashley Marlowe

If I had the option to give zero stars I would. Look at the photos. I think the evidence is enough said. Absolutely Disgusting. This is an insult to the designers who's product are treated with such an awful manner.

  • Sierra Marlowe

Worst Macys that I’ve EVER been too. So disgusting and dirty. Hard to even shop around. Clothes are just thrown everywhere. I would be embarrassed to work here. Management should be fired.

  • Duane Cretin

Was shopping yesterday at Macy’s in Castletown. Heidi was kind , helpful and amazing. Absolutely enjoyed the shopping experience at a real “ department “ store because of her. Thank you

  • Aashish Khadka

Great selections for all age groups. A little bit expensive but the quality of clothes are great. Shoppers can find good deals from backstage upstairs. Give it a try you won't regreat.

  • PD Stephens

Macy's is my goto store. They had PopUp at the Delta Convention. Did buy anything . Had the dresses. Ordered so items online. Got them yesterday. Nina Parker is the best

  • Victoria Cruz

Love Macy's. Their sales do not disappoint! Just a bit irritated on the payt cause on higher floors, there seems to be just one cashier open so long queue.

  • Murthy Chodavarapu

A good and decent place for shopping all kinds of household needs - clothing, perfumes, shoes to furniture as well as kitchen, bed room and travel needs

  • Law Gram

Macy's showed off with their holiday decor as usual. Unfortunately, their low staff made lines extra long, and getting cologne or makeup was difficult.

  • Pam

I was looking for shoes, they were so short staffed. It took a long time to get waited on. The young lady that helped us was wonderful and so helpful.

  • Jon Reneberg

I know they have some good funds, but the whole place reaks of cologne. Couldn't stay around long enough to find anything without getting a headache.

  • April Phillips

Slow service and not enough cash registers open. Plus, the fact that you can't just check out at any register in a different dept is insane.

  • Siesta Butler

Caught great sale in linens! The mannerly checkout clerk carried this senior citizen's heavy, bulky packages to my car...great service!!!

  • Kevin Vanosdol

Nice store. First floor is immaculate. 2nd and 3rd, not so much. Carpet is old, worn and stained.

  • Kevin Brechner

Big store, very nice. Great selection. We love the upstairs clearance area.
