My mom walked in today and was happy she always enjoys her experience when she get Sarah, who always does a fabulous job on her haircut and blow drying her hair straight and the way she takes pride into the hair cut and ways so warm and welcoming making the experience better, but today she told me that she witnessed an incident that made her feel bad for her stylist how she watched another stylist walk in and stare and continued to go around her during the whole experience making it uncomfortable and u could feel this tension from this other stylist and on top of that the manger made a comment to my mom stylist that didn’t sit well with my mom it gave off an impression that her stylist is being pushed around and treated poorly in the salon which is why I only gave this store a four star rating but if there was a higher rating than five I would give Sarah a ten star rating for the way she always gives my mom a good experience and she always comes home happy after seeing Sarah at the salon

The stylist seemed extremely rushed, like she was racing through it even though I had a scheduled appointment. While I was in the chair, she commented that her next client who was in the waiting area was a very important surgeon, so I got the sense she was trying to get to him as soon as possible. I asked for an A-line cut with soft, textured ends that weren't too blunt and to bring the longest layer up about an inch or two. The cut I ended up with was 4inches shorter and completely blunt,straight across, no texture or shape at all. The hairdresser had asked if I'd like my hair blowdryed to see it. I said yes but she barely blew air on it for 3 min. My hair was extremely damp so I couldn't even see what the true result was or I would have mentioned it while I was there. Will definitely not be back.

I took the chance on going to Magic Cuts after reading some of the reviews. I had been looking for someone whom I could trust with my hair and make me “love it” and the reviews persuade me to give it a try. After trying high salons and spending a fortune I never been “awed” over the end result. After meeting with Kylie at Magic Cuts today “I love my hair”. Even my family is amazed how well the cut and style looks. Kylie is very professional at her job and very personable. She made me feel welcomed and interacted with me like I had known her forever. I highly recommend Kylie to anyone who is tired of high priced salons and don’t get the end result they want. It’s not the salon that makes you feel and look fabulous it is the hair “stylist”.

Check how much they charge you before you pay.. I got ripped off.. Updated as Sept 3rd 2022 , I went there again and asked for a nice clean cut #1 around my head, spike and messy hair plus in the front a lit bit longer . She did an awful job unfortunately that is what happen when some “ people “ have no clue on what they are doing ..I’m giving you 1 star cuz can’t give you 0 one.. now I know I will never come back in this one for sure . My Mississauga magic cuts make a better job for sure and they are Much more professional maybe cuz they are European ones instead meaning better hairdresser quality and they know how cut hair using scissors and not just a shaver.. rethink when you hire people .. European do most labours better than others!

I have a daughter on the spectrum, who is hair sensitive, with long curly hair. On this evening I walked into the Ancaster Magicuts with the most impossible task I could ask anyone to complete. To get a massive knot out of the back of my ‘hair sensitive’ child’s hair. The ladies working were quick to reassure me that this was not an impossible task and could be done. They immediately made my daughter feel comfortable and relaxed. Cassandra was compassionate and recognized the need to keep my daughter engaged while she worked on her hair. They quickly got to work and showed incredible patience. I was so grateful for their assistance in this massive undertaking, that I could’ve just hugged them when it was all over!

I got my hair coloured red . My hair is virgin black , and it usually is hard to get the red on . Ruskar did an amazing job with my hair . I have never had my hair this red . I don't know the staff’s name who was closing with her , she was very kind and helpful too . Both of them stayed past their closing time to help me . Getting nice hairstylist are hard these days . I have only had good experiences with Magicuts . The prices are affordable and best outcome ❤️❤️

If I could I would gave them 0. I used them for my kids hair cut, they have a very young stylist under age with no experience!! She almost shaved my son hair and burned the back of her neck by hair dryer after I asked to dry her hair! 0 customer service! 0 management Very rude and unprofessional! Using inexperienced kid as a hair stylist to cut kids hair!!! I would never go back! They should not be in business! Never go there!!!!

Called to book appointment, I asked for a wash and blow dry, she asked me the length and she said $25 + tax. She blow-dry my hair and because was still freezee she touched up the ends with the flat iron. She charged me $53 + tip for a simple blow-dry. I said why $53 I was quoted $25, she replied $25 was just for fluff dry, so I said I should've been told that, very very expensive for just a simple blow-dry.

I had a wonderful first time experience today at Magicuts. Pam very carefully and diligently gave my hair a wash, haircut, blowdry and styling. She had some excellent recommendations for haircut styles based on my hair type and gave helpful advice on how to look after my hair and taught me how style it. I left feeling like a brand new person. I will be coming back again and i highly recommend Pam!

Clare is the absolute best! She takes the time and care to understand what you want, and talks you through her process. After many bad previous colouring experiences, with other stylists at other salons, I trust Clare completely. The colour is always perfect and the cut and style is exactly what I ask for. I can’t rave about her enough!! Highly recommend Clare and the salon.

Clean and kind staff. Great with small children. We all got our hair cut. They were quick and did a great job! Not expensive at all, and usually have coupons. Parking is accessible, and they have a washroom. One suggestion to owner. Get lollipops for the kids; we were told this ended because of minimum wage going up. That's weird on several levels.

Ruksar did an amazing job straightening my curly hair!!! She paid very close attention to detail and made sure my hairstyle was cut evenly. Also, she made a recommendation for me to purchase an effective shampoo that'll help prevent dryness and damage to my hair. I'm definitely making this Magicuts location my go-to spot from now on! …

I have been going here since moving to Ancaster. I always see Jessica. She is friendly, and great to talk to during your hair cut. Best of all she cuts great and knows just the way I like my hair. I trust her as she always does a fantastic job. The salon is professional, clean and pleasant. Good experience. I highly recommend her.

I booked Ayse the hairdresser and she handed us over to another hairdresser. You didn't ask for my understanding. You are rude. And she left work at 2:45. Don't take a reservation or something. The hairdresser who cut his son's hair worked hard to cut it.Her scissors are a mess. It takes a lot of practice.

I didn't feel like my hairdresser really listened to what I wanted, and the cut wasn't straight. I ended up going somewhere else to get it fixed. I was also very disappointed that my sister was misgendered the entire visit, despite being introduced as my sister and being corrected.

Took an appointment for today at 11, only to come in and be told that there are two people ahead of me and I have to wait for them, or to come in tomorrow. What's the point of an appointment if it can't be honored and drop ins get the priority? They definitely lost a customer.

Asked for 2.5 inches to be taken off so my hair sits just below the shoulder. She took off at least 4 inches well above the shoulder and doesn’t even go into a pony. Hairdresser had a smirk the whole time. Not making me feel confident in the cut at all.

Kylie was the stylist that did my hair. She had originally cut my hair the week before I saw her for colour. She was so helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for. She’s so helpful, informative, and friendly. I highly recommend her as a stylist.

Update November 2023, I'm in town again, going to get my hair done. Love this place. I travel from Alberta to Ancaster to visit family. Kylie does my hair and she's wonderful. She takes her time and gives you suggestions.

Went for a haircut , the lady Sarah cut my hair in less than 5 mins and it did not even look like she did anything, on top of that charged my with 5 $ tip without my consent while billing. Would not recommend this place
