Magnolia Wine Company is a small liquor store that doubles as a souvenir shop like every other convenience type store in and around the French Quarter. They have a decent stock of liquor, wine, and beer, but I was sadly surprised to find that they have very few local brews other than the full Abita lineup and a few Dixie's. I like Abita, don't get me wrong, but I walked in hoping to find a wider selection of local beers and ales. I think they may have had a few more in the singles, but I was hoping for a 6 pack of something interesting. Fwiw, they also have a full luggage store at the back .

A friend and I waked in to buy some beer. we were having a conversation and stopped to browse some of the novelties. The guy behind the counter immediately cranked the music up so loud that we couldn't even speak to one another. the guy never said a word, just starred at the wall, making us feel very unwelcome. we walked out immediately. so much for southern hospitality! 0/10 would not recommend!

Cool little place, has mostly everything you may be looking for and your regular convenience store. Everything was pretty easy to find the service was pretty regular, nothing special. Got the job done for what we needed so I was satisfied as well as everyone with me. Also nice that this place is located right off the main strip..

Extremely rude and crazy cashier. There were no prices on most items in store, and when I asked prices she didn't want to answer and didn't want to sell anything. Store which don't want to sell their goods is nonsense. Then local people said to me that she is known for her bad attitude.

0/10 The male cashier does not know good customer service. He acts like customers are obligated to spend over a certain amount in his shop. Didn’t even provide a bag for the souvenir I purchased.

Convenient location which is why they are able to price gouge. You're better off ordering alcohol from the Drizly app and getting it delivered to your door for cheaper than going to this store.

  • Brandon

Overrated and over priced. They have a bottle of Bourbon I buy regularly retails $35-$45. These clowns wanted $99 for the exact same bottle. Shop somewhere they don’t price gouge.

OVERPRICED!! Go to Walgreens across the street!! For a 12 pack of diet coke they wanted $10, wine that you normally pay $9-$12 for is priced $20-$25. Don't waste your time here.

It is okay if you are in a pinch but they do mark their prices up by 50% on a lot of their items. The Apothic wines are usually around $12 but are listed at up to $20 there.

  • Anna Harris

Go to Walgreens across the street before coming here, there prices and a lot higher and they do not give money back!

  • Napoli Gómez R.

The wines and other drinks are too expensive! Go the Walgreens in the other corner if you are looking for drinks.

  • Tamara Harrison

Typical liquor store, had some souvenir type stuff which was cool. Music was way too loud inside though.

  • kurt rhodes

Told me they didn't have what I wanted. Told him to turn around it's behind him. Prices way to high.

Just the name alone makes this place great. Will be stopping by again on my next new Orleans visit

  • David Ferris

Water and other drinks overpriced, probably why they don't put price tags on anything

  • K R

The prices are insane. $18 for a 6 pack of beer. I'd never shop here.
