The whole experience at Mama Massage would've merited 4-5 stars except for one thing. The place was nice and the waiting room relaxing. I loved the fact that they didn't use paper towels in their washrooms but instead had regular hand towels that you dropped into a hamper once used. I loved how they had the cutouts in the table for pregnant women to lie on their fronts. The massages themselves were good--Sam and Yuliya were lovely to chat with and gave relaxing massages. I was going to walk out feeling calm and at peace if not for the rude receptionist. At the start she seemed nice enough. At the end however the rudeness came through. It started when I asked if it was okay to remove the slippers. I asked that because right when we stepped in she said to remove our shoes, so I thought we weren't supposed to step on the mat with our outside shoes. I don't like walking barefoot on places where other people walk around wearing their shoes. She responded a bit sarcastically by saying "Well, yes, unless you walk out in them. Some customers have." I laughed it off. Then, on the issue of payment, we requested to have it billed directly to insurance. She asked us to fill forms online which we did and then we ran into issues with my individual billing. She responded to my questions rudely, and I decided to just have her bill it to my credit card on file and deal with insurance later. She said she would give us the receipts so we waited for them. After a few moments, she said "are you waiting for something?" along the tones of "what are you still standing around here for?". I said we were waiting for the receipts and she said she already emailed them. We left feeling very much offended. I don't know if she was just having a bad day or just being downright racist. Either way, that incident ruined the experience for me, and I will be trying other massage places in the city where receptionists respond better towards their customers.

My experience with moma is very poor.My kids gifted me with birthday massage. The therapist bruised me, using lot of pressure in spite of my requests to less pressure applied.she never stopped talking.did not hear me, relaxation massage is not" going in for haircuts.!!You don't chat" this takes away from experiencing calm..! The therapist did not read my profile prior to taking me in.Im not sure what the purpose is to fill out forms that are Not been looked at by practitioners. She spent the majority of time asking me questions taking up my appointment time. They dont give you full hr service. I received aprox. 20 min of the full hr. paid , which was pure pain ,discomfort, and unecessary chatter in my ears! I should have charge them for listening.I know a lot of these big places hire inexperienced ppl sometimes not fully educated in various types of massage tberapy.Some are not even certified. There is various types of massage, relaxation, theraputic,sport's,Swedish,reflexology therapies. Therapists should know the differences between them.massages are performed to help client alleviate stress pain discomfort tension to name a few.Moma therapists ought to realize this for what they charge and offer it to clients .!! Some upgrading crash courses are necessary for the team there. These are thoughts, Iam owner of European& Canadian Rockies Spas Had several great employees therapist in my past to be able to compare.!

The ambience at Mama Massage is good, the rooms are clean and the lighting is calming. I booked a massage, more for my feet and the issues I have with plantar fasciitis. I also received a massage on my upper back, legs and calves. In the beginning my therapist asked how much pressure I liked and I told her light to medium as I am sensitive and older and just don't tolerate pain like I used to. That seemed to fall on deaf ears and the massage was very painful at times. I let her know but I guess she thought she knew better and truly wanted to help ease my issues. Today I noticed several bruises down my shins and they are even sensitive to touch. Really no marked difference in the tension or heel pain, not that I expected to be healed but certainly not bruised. So I feel the whole therapeutic massage is really not worth the paper it is written on. I also don't think the therapist read my form at all which would have helped her understand the circumstances. I won't book again as I truly would be anxious about the painful experience. Perhaps people who have a great pain tolerance would do well in this environment but just isn't for me.

Everything about this place is impeccable. Top notch. The cleanliness, the service, the treatments. Not a hair out of place. I saw Andrew for a prenatal massage at 39.5 weeks and it was hands down one of the best massages I've ever had (he has a ton of experience in more than prenatal too). I am a massage therapist myself, so am a little bit particular about my treatments! He made sure I was comfortable the whole time, which is difficult this far along in pregnancy, and he took great care to customize the treatment to make it as enjoyable and effective as possible. The tot area is at the entrance and is separate from the treatment rooms, and once you pass it you would never know this business specialized in mamas and child minding. So definitely not just a place for parents and kids. The services are really well-priced; at a place this nice I would even expect to pay a little more than what they charge. I highly recommend this place for a massage. It's amazing.

My massage seemed a bit off I told family it was just a strange massage. A day later I was in debilitating pain. 2 trips to the ER, family doctor, physio, chiro, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound. Was given strong painkillers for the pain. Diagnosis: Torn rotator cuff. 2 bulging neck discs. Called the owner before I knew what was wrong to tell him I don’t want this happening to anybody else. He said he would call me back once he spoke to the massage therapist to get her side. Never called me back. It’s been 3 weeks and I am still bedridden, unable to care for my kids. Relying on so much help. Just traumatic and awful service not to take that phone call seriously, just hoping I’d go away. Run!! I never make reviews but like I told him I don’t want anyone to go through this. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Visited Mama Massage today for the first time and LOVED it!! My two kids (ages 4 and 2) had a blast in the tot area, playing games and making crafts (they especially loved the kid-sized sink area for easy hand washing!). I had a great massage with RMT Christina, and it was so nice to be able to relax knowing that my kids were having a great time at the same time. When we were putting our shoes on to leave, my son asked if he could come back again soon to play again :) Staff was very friendly and welcoming, and overall atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend this to any other mama (and I've already booked my next appointment to go again next week!). What a fantastic concept!

I have been with Dr. Baldwin for over 10 years for health and she is a big part of our "Baby medical team". Often when I am not able to get into my regular location I go to her other locations. This is my first time at Mama Massage- WOW! It was worth the 25 minute drive to this amazing location. Great front desk people, easy to find parking, lovely reception area, COVID procedures well in place and as always a fabulous acupuncture treatment (this time addressed some 3rd trimester concerns). Looking forward to trying out this location when restrictions ease to allow child minding services for our toddler.

My first visit today was a great experience. What a fantastic concept. Kids play while mom relaxes. The massage therapist I had today (Elaine) was so great. Very friendly and made me feel totally relaxed and comfortable. My children raved about the tot spot and Ashley was phenomenal with my kiddos. The only thing I have to complain about is the distance, I really think a deep southeast location would do very well! Hopefully it’s something that can be considered as I would love to make monthly mama massages a thing in my life. However, I will be back to this location for now! Thanks again team.

Girlfriend and I went to Mamma Massage last week on opening week for a couples massage and it was incredible. From the minute you walk in and are walked to the amazing waiting area (where I almost fell asleep in the great reclining chairs) to the professional staff and amazing massage therapists that treated us like gold. We don't have kids, but the kids that were in the play area seemed to be loving it and I could tell that their Mom (who booked another massage while we were waiting) was very impressed. A must do for people with kids or no kids alike!

I saw Sonya today for a prenatal massage. After a horrendous experience elsewhere I was absolutely blown away with this entire clinic! The staff, service received and overall experience was fantastic! Sonya knows what she’s doing, it’s very clear she cares for her clients. The clinic is clean, serene & calming. The pregnancy accommodating bed was life changing. I will for sure be back & can hardly wait for my next service. Direct billing was easy. Fees are transparent. Thank you Sonya & all staff I interacted with today for the care and kindness!

I have got my first massage in a week ago. The place is beautiful, makes you feel relaxed within first steps in. My massage therapist was not bad at all, I just did not feel better afterwards. My back still hurts a lot, however, my neck loosen up a bit so that is nice. I might go back to try another therapist. I would not go there if I wasn't pregnant, unfortunately my therapist doesn't have the table for me. Update: I had another massage at Mama's with different therapist. It was better than the first one, however, my back is still hurting me.

I feel I cannot fully express how amazing my experience was today. My husband and I happened to be in Calgary and experienced Mama Massage for the first time. Wow...we are still talking about the customer service we received from all of the staff. You can tell they truly love their work and their environment. Nowadays, you rarely see that. I breath of fresh air really. As for the massage itself; was it education or talent? Top notch! Well done Mama Massage, can't wait for another trip to Calgary.

Just had my first massage at mama massage with Mitra. It was the best I’ve had in a long time, and I have been to many many a massage. They do hot towels, massage the whole time you’ve paid for, ask about pressure and conversation preferences, Spa like atmosphere and style and comparable in price to other places I’ve been which were definitely not as enjoyable. Plus, I got to bring my baby and they watched her for free, on a special. I will definitely be purchasing a package and returning!

Sonia saved my sanity after I scored a last-minute session with her on a day when one of my twin toddlers had the house up since 4 a.m. I left three kids 4 and under to escape to her excellent care. She used exactly the pressure I needed and every minute of this massage was magical and deeply relaxing. I will absolutely book with her again. The direct billing was quick and easy and none of my (bonkers) high energy children wanted to leave. Fantastic experience all around!

In the 4 years I’ve lived in Canada I’ve had some great massages but unfortunately they have had tons of background noise from hallways, reception, etc. Mama Massage is very spacious so I had an incredibly relaxing and quiet massage which was much appreciated! They offer prenatal and postnatal massages which is a bit of a unique offering in the area. The room environment was very relaxing with dim lighting, and my massage therapist Julia was skilled and pleasant.

Booked a massage for my wife and I said it was for a motor vehicle accident. They said ok! after my wife finished her massage today they said they don’t have the ability to process motor vehicle accident massages. Now we have to pay out of pocket for a terrible massage. I would give zero stars but that’s not an option. Won’t be giving our hundreds of dollars a year to this place anymore. And will always recommend not going here. Brutal. Just brutal.

I enjoy Mama Massage exceptionally well. Nia knows all my sore muscles and has the attitude and skill and sensitivity to work those pressure points. Nia is very personable and only when necessary, a great conversationalist. She is cheerful, positive and knowledgeable and takes great pride in ensuring my massage experience is wonderful. My only regret is when it’s over. I so much look forward to seeing Nia again my next visit.

This review solely focused on my appointment on Nov 15th, I rebooked here for prenatal massage, however the therapist seemed to have severe cold and cough she also mentioned it’s her allergies. When you treat a pregnant women during flu season pls wear mask, if you have cold or cough it’s very uncomfortable situation where you can’t run away from appointment and they keep sneezing and coughing throughout session.

My husband, daughter(7 years old) and myself all go specifically to see this massage therapist she knows her stuff with all our different medical history she tailors to your needs. Very friendly staff, beautiful lobby and a daycare for the kids which is a great bonus if you can’t find a sitter last minute.

By far the absolutely best relaxation massage. she listened to problem areas. takes her time and has miracle hands. felt like a new person afterwards. she's very polite,professional and utilized every moment in the hour for the ultimate massage experience. absolutely going back to see her in the near future. 5 stars and more!

This place is the best! The ambiance is more spa-like than clinical and very comfortable and clean. I have had great experiences with many of the massage therapists, but I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Sonia Deleo. Sonia is by far the best RMT I have ever seen and uses incredible strength and technique. I recommend everyone sees Sonia to have a life-changing appointment!

First time experience was wonderful. Right from the start the staff was friendly, the waiting room had lemon water and comfy chairs to lay back and relax! I had a deep tissue massage from Elisha and it was PERFECT! She made sure I was feeling good about it and really knew what she was doing! I will definitely be back. Nia what's absolutely amazing ! Focused on the spots I asked which I find to be uncommon for most places! Was very thorough working out tight spots ! I’ve been going to Mama’s Massage regularly since they’ve been open. Just had my first disappointed experience with RMT Julia. To start off, her hands were freezing cold and the bed wasn’t warm during the session. I told her specific areas to focus on, but did other ones instead. Overall did not enjoy the session I was looking forward to.

I went to book an appointment online, picked a date/time and RMT filled out my CC and all my info and go to my appointment to find out that the appointment was never booked and I was just setting up my account. It was a waste of my time. The lady at the front says it happened all the time, maybe it’s a sign to fix the scheduling system.

Loved my experience here. I had Vickie do my prenatal massage. Everything was perfect from pressure to her knowing about my due date etc. They obviously read your intake form and proceed accordingly. They also have child minding! Do if you have your little, bring him/ her along and still enjoy your massage. 100% will be back.

I love going here for my massages, the front desk is polite and welcoming. The facility is very clean and tidy. My fav therapist is Mitra she’s very good. I always need a nap right after my massage. I like that they offer water that you can have before or after your massage. They also offer kids and couples massage.

I love reflexology! I was a bit skeptical at first but then I booked an appointment with Elaine at Mamma Massage and it was one of the most relaxing of all therapies I ever had. She tried the proper combination of reflexology and massage and it felt amazing. I would highly recommend Elaine's services to anyone.

I just visited their new location for the first time since they moved and was very impressed. Plenty of parking and lots of other amenities close by so that I can get a lot of errands done at once.
