I've been to quite a few spa's across the UK with my girlfriend, and unfortunately this was probably one of my least favourites. Reason being is a few things. As soon as I entered the spa today, it was very loud. Full of annoying kids screaming and shouting, splashing and jumping in the pool, so you definitely couldn't relax in this area. Aswell as this, I saw a couple snogging each other at the end of the pool for god knows how long, and I found this incredibly tacky. They need to improve their music in this area also, as I heard House music in the background - the complete wrong vibe? Surely you should be playing meditational ambient music or something on these lines? But anyway, its pointless if theres a bunch of kids around. The steam room - I was there with my girlfriend as we tried escaping the chaos as often as we could. We managed about 5mins in there until a parent of 3 decide to come in every 5mins, but this wasn't the annoying thing. It is how they just leave the door open and have a conversation while they debate if they want to go in the room or not, so all the steam leaves and it gets cold and becomes pointless. The amount of times they opened the door for about 5 seconds and didn't even come in angered me. Those who have been in a steam room will understand what this does. Aswell as this, the kids that go in there don't even shut the flipping door. I just find them really annoying. Tried the sauna aswell, and a highlight was how me and my girlfriend were basically stopped from using this as two ladies decide to hog the sauna by lying down topless as if they were sunbathing in a hot country, completely covering the bottom row of seats. Literally, they just blocked people from using it so we couldn't go inside. It was ridiculous. The amount of times kids under the age of 16 went inside the steam and sauna rooms irritated me so much despite the fact it was forbidden for this to happen. Just goes to show the rules meant jack all and the reception clearly let anyone in with no brief before. Feel free to book this spa. Don't get me wrong, it has a pool, steam room and sauna which were alright, however I found myself stressing way too often to consider it a relaxing spa day with my girlfriend, which was a first for me. It really is worth paying the money to go to one somewhere with better standards. Sorry to disappoint.

Me and my boyfriend got a voucher on Wowcher which included SPA, 1h of treatments, and afternoon tea in the Business Lounge. The location and atmosphere are great and I was very impressed with the customer service given by the reception staff. Unfortunately, there were a few disappointment here and there. Firstly, we arrived and were asked to pay (on top of the original cost) £20 each to access the SPA as it was Sunday. We enter the spa/pool area and the pool was crowded with around 15 screaming children which were diving in the pool, taking the whole space, playing and shouting very loud. There was no supervision whatsoever and that wasn't relaxing at all. We couldn't make use of the pool and the alternatives were a tiny sauna and a tiny steam room ( there’s no jacuzzi, so that was disappointing too!). Next the treatments. The SPA area is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained, the selection of dried fruits, biscuits and tea were absolutely delicious. The only sad note was that Rhiannon, one of the masseuses, didn't realised we were 2 people there and basically did the talk and the recommendation etc to only one of us, making the other one feeling really awkward. That was really inappropriate and unprofessional. Especially because also there, we had to pay and additional £15 to have our treatments together in the same room! On another note, the afternoon tea in the Lounge was an absolute delight! The view was amazing, the selection of teas and the patisserie and the sandwiches... absolutely gorgeous and the waiter was great and professional and a pleasure to speak to. Overall, an experience to make. Would I go back? No, there are plenty of places outside London that offer much more for half the cost and really care about providing a service that meets customers' satisfaction.

If I could give this Spa less than one star I would. ABSOLUTELY DON'T GO. As well as needing a good clean, the staff don't even have the courtesy to acknowledge you when you arrive or leave. I booked a night at the hotel as a special treat for my mum particularly for a Spa experience - what a huge disappointment and a waste of money. I agree with all the negative reviews here. The Spa (I use the term loosely) is more like a small public swimming pool with token plants added. There are not enough loungers (5 I think) so we had to wait for people to leave to get one to sit on. Clear the old towels yourself as none of the staff put in an appearance when we were there to check standards. If you fancy an expensive day out, with days reminiscent of the swimming lessons of your youth at the public baths this is the place for you. Complaining is futile as apparently the highest level that you can take your complaint is Guest Services, who are not for budging and apparently are more interested in pushing what they want you to have than listening to their guests. I was initially offered a 15% discount on a service and then a complimentary treatment. Despite explaining that I don't live n London and am not prepared to waste yet more money on a further night's accommodation at the hotel, just to benefit from their offer, they're not for listening. Poor poor service. Don't waste your money,

II came for a Spa day on Tuesday and had a warm welcome from The Manager Kerry and her staff at reception. We asked a recommendation for somewhere we could have a drink before coming in as we were celebrating my friends birthday, Kerry kindly recommended a few places inside and surrounding the hotel as we wanted to enjoy the sunshine. The hotel and Spa had a wow factor and the swimming pool and spa left you feeling total pampered. We had an Elemis facial with Jessica which was very relaxing. We were offered ginger tea and some wonderful dried fruit to relax after our treatment. The Elemis products were nourishing on my skin and i will keep using them. Over all the staff and the spa was a five star plus standard and the staff so welcoming the the whole experience was unforgettable , my friend had a wonderful birthday I will recommend this Spa to all my friends and family and as we are both hairstylists with our own businesses we will be also recommending Mndara Spa to our clients. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely day.

Booked a night here in the adjoining hotel in order to use the Mandara spa facilities. The massages were fantastic by Rhiannon along with the delicious selection of fruit, nuts, cookies and teas that were in the relaxation area. Also enjoyed using the exclusive lounge area where more food was waiting already prepared for us to help ourselves. The only thing we paid for all day was a bottle of wine as all the other food and drinks were included in our spa package which was on special offer at £129 for two people with four massages each and full use of the spa facilities which included pool, sauna, steam room, showers and loungers. (Could really do with more loungers or chairs). The hotel itself is large with restaurants, a bar area and live music with plenty of seating area. Also very good for sight seeing, within easy walk of the London eye and surrounding area.

They don't deserve 1 star!!! I booked the SPA for my bridesmaid and I to celebrate my Wedding. On our way to the Hotel (12pm) a lady from the Spa called me to cancel our booking saying that one of the staff called sick (our appointment was for 2pm and bear in mind it's a HOTEL, unacceptable! If someone call sick, surely you have someone to cover...my friend drove 1.5 hour from outside London for this booking and all they said was SORRY, they never offer us anything instead, just simply called and hanged up the phone. SO RUDE. To get my refund back took me about 3 phone calls with the manager called Alina who was also not able to help at all! All I needed was an email to prove that they cancel so I could have my refund back. I will never book this place again and definitely don't recommend to anyone.

Would not recommend this spa at all!!!! Absolutely appalling!!! The most unrelaxing and stressful experience. I have never been to a spa which allows children and there were plenty of them, which ruined the experience completely. They were dive bombing in the spa pool and running in and out of the changing rooms. The facilities are poor, grubby changing rooms and showers. No facility to hang towels or clothes when showering or changing. A lot of the spa seemed dated and messy. I would not even give one star. I used a groupon voucher but feel let down even paying the price I did. Would never recommend or return again.

Absolutely appalled and disgusted in the way i have been treated!! Booked through wowcher for a spa day and they redeemed my voucher without me even going and have refused a reschedule of the day. Have contacted the spa on numerous occasions, and they are choosing to ignore all my emails. I have felt tricked in the way there has been so many hidden clauses and my money has been taken away from me. It's disgusting in the way you are so happy to take peoples money and refuse to refund them when they are entitled. Recommend that no body in future books with them. Doesn't even deserve 1 star

This spa discriminates against disabled guests. They refuse massage treatment to people who have been diagnosed with or treated for cancer within the last 5 years. Their policy is based on the assumption that massage therapy poses a potential health risk to cancer patients, a belief that the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology and every major cancer organization in the UK agrees has no medical basis. They refuse to change their discriminatory policies and the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel the houses them refuses to take responsibility for their practices.

Bought a birthday package deal.only to get less treatment as the deal sold.Grateful I bought through WOwcher who ensured I got my money back. All in all great place and staff helpful-although don't be fooled when they tell you they are short staffed and would rebook you to get the rest of the treatment cos no one will bother to call you-you will end up doing the chase with no reply!!!shame. Ooh!the Executive lounge has great views but their afternoon tea is a joke (I wonder how they pass their food rating).

A lovely compact spa, barely a stone's throw from Big Ben. But as a non hotel guest, whilst I happily pay to use the facilities, £35 for 3 hours use of the gym, pool, sauna and steam room is just a bit too much to encourage regular use (and the place was practically deserted). Perhaps they could consider £200 for a series of ten visits within one year? Still, the facilities are modern, clean and with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.

What a wonderful way to spend the day. From start to finish I actually can't fault the place. We had the pool to ourselves, the staff were so attentive and friendly, the beauty treatments made me feel like a new person and the afternoon tea was delicious. The fact that it was buffet style was even better because you could help yourself to whatever you wanted ie sandwiches instead of tons of cake. I will definitely go back.

I spent one night at the ParkPlaza hotel and i booked the swimming pool in the morning but it was packed of screaming kids . However, the gym facilities are nice and the sauna is ok. I would really thank the host Sara who was very helpful showing me around the spa and guiding me through the facilities. I’ve been in better spa but her smile and customer service was outstanding. Wish her the best of luck

  • Laura

Could be cleaner and needs a chill out area. There is no salt bath, dip pool or jacuzzi here and 'relaxation' has to take place around the pool being enjoyed by children. Also the shower outside the steam room for cooling off afterwards smelt very badly of sulphurous blocked drains. No provision of herbal teas etc. Nice elemis products available in the showers etc but on the whole could do much better.

Terrible spa experience. Do not come here if you want peace and quiet. The pool was full of kids splashing, jumping in and taking over the entire pool. There were only 4 sun beds which all had used towels on them. There are many more spas in London, from our experience anywhere would be better than here. I’ve never been to a spa that plays loud dance music and is overrun with kids.

I had the most amazing treatment at the Mandara Spa, the back and neck cleanse was a truly spiritual experience, absolutely awesome! The foot massage and face cleanse were a great added bonus. My masseur Aneta was so very present and skilled in her approach I literally forgot where I was, exactly what I needed to unwind from my hectic work routine. Highly recommended!

  • Jasmine Pengelly

I had the therapist Rhiannon and she was wonderful. It must be so hard to be on top form all the time, especially after a long week, but Rhiannon made sure I had the best service possible. Without doubt one of the most beautiful spas and best treatments I've received in a long time, if ever. Thank you for making it such a blissful day!

  • Mz-Vie Charles

My second time at Mandata spa Westminster and I busy day it was better than my first my therapist was Amazing I kept dozing off during my treatment she applied the right amount of pressures in all the right places. I would highly recommend a visit to Mandata Spa and especially request Aneta her hands are a God sent.

I got a voucher for a free massage, so I gave Mandara spa a go. My therapist Lottie was great, did a great job with my massage & mani. What let the place down was the cleanliness of the changing room. I really wanted to use the pool, but the filthy changing room & wash facilities put me right off! Such a shame...

After booking a luxury spa day for 2 with my partner, a staff member named SHANICE, has been stalking and messaging my partner on socal media (LADIES BE CAREFUL). Highly unprofessional & absolutely inappropriate. Will not be visiting this spa again. Not recommended for couples.

Only used the pool and sauna and steam room. Sauna and steam room are excellent, with great heat. Pool is very nice but very strong chlorine. Goggles are a must if you intend swimming lengths. Changing rooms are excellent and everything is very clean.
