My family has been coming to this location for as long as I could remember. We passed by earlier this year, and recently came by for Christmas, so I figured it's time to give my review. Most times we come without a reservation and have to wait to come in. There's not many seats inside but they also don't have a text service, so you just have to wait til you're called. Could be 15 minutes, could be an hour. I've only been to a couple other mandarins, and this was on the smaller side. It has about 5 tables of food, along with a section with servers for carved meat, sushi, etc, and a side for the hot and cold desserts. The food is pretty consistent from memory. Some foods are fresher than others depending on popularity. Like any fast food place, the hygiene of the serving tools are questionable. People can be nasty, and I've seen people drop a tong and put it right back on the table. Kids also can do really weird things if picking out their own food. People may also use tongs on different dishes, or food may end up in different dishes, which could be a health risk for others, but this is expected in all you can eat buffets. Sometimes, it's hard to get the attention of a staff member, other times, there is someone checking your table every 5 minutes. It may take a while to have your plates cleared as well. Sometimes, you can tell staff is rushing you as it's busy, other times they don't care. Anyways, there's definitely something for everyone there. Can't say we ever had a horrible experience there, and I'm sure we'll keep coming back!

Love the food and servers. I have been going there weekly for a decade. Lately I find my food going cold quickly because the rooms have too much cold air conditioning which the Manager should fix and it takes away from enjoying the food as it should be ... at least warm. Otherwise, I give it a 10 out of 10 for great food and service, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere and the reason I go back time and time again.

the front people were so nice and so accommodating! I’m not from town so I was so curious with what this place has to offer and i’m not even disappointed! Sharon was an amazing server, we were celebrating a birthday and also graduation. She was kind enough to offer to take our photos! Also one of the guy’s server always refilled our water without us having to ask them. One of the manager went up and introduced herself and once she found out we were celebrating she let us know to let our servers know. The service and food was amazing.. The tables were clean and dishes were clean as well. Their cocktails was also so good! To top it up they gave us warm hand towels to clean our hands with a good scent of lemon. Over all, I will recommend this restaurant :) Amazing service!

This is a place if you don't want to spend much for lunch and have many dishes to choose. It's great your with a group because l believe no one will walk out hungry. Waiter was a great and efficient. I had two other waiters who were great (one that led us to our table once we arrived and one that first came to our table) but unfortunately I didn’t get their name. All waiters at ROOM E on October 6, dinner time were very attentive, cleaned our table quickly, took our plates right after, refilled our water without us asking and gave napkin once they saw we ran out. What was unfortunate was the second towel I received at the end of the meal was not not or warm. That is all, staff/ waiters were great overall.

Good ambience inside. You’ll have to pay lesser if you go for lunch buffet. There were hundreds of choices to choose from. Plenty of deserts as well. When it’s busy service is late sometimes. Seniors get 20% off. Sushi didn’t taste that well although the other dishes were tasty. However if you’re so concerned about the health, pick your dishes wisely because lots of oily stuff is available. Water is provided complimentary. Prawns were tasty.

I love Asian food and this was my first time at Mandarin as I’m in country on business. The food was amazing and my server Ruby and her associate server An were perfect. Ruby recommended the Singapore Sling cocktail and it was exceptional. Very busy place which was not surprising due to the food and service provided. My family has gone here a couple of times to celebrate each other's birthday. Tonight's service was exceptional however because of our servers. Ruby, An, Sharon & Lei. They made sure my family was taken care of and were very accomodating. I personally have an injury to my foot and have had to use a cane and they offered me assistance a couple of times and that speaks to their thoughtfulness as service industry workers. Since I arrived to Canada this has been one of my favourite restaurants to attend to. My husband recently came to Canada and I wanted him to try Mandarin for so long and today we got the chance. Nancy has been my server for two times now, she is very respectful and kind. She looks after the customers needs. Today I met Lay, he is very kind and respectful. I really enjoyed my husband’s and I first Canadian date here in the Mandarin. They made it special for both of us. I hope they are being taken care of just like they took care of us.

The food was fresh and hot. There was plenty of food to choose from. The atmosphere of the place was warm and friendly, and it was decorated still nice for Xmas, but hopefully, soon, they will decorate for Chinese New Year. But why do all Mandarin restaurants just hire thete own nationality this is very racist because I did not see 1 white causuian person working there and did not see 1 black person or not even a Indian person there, I don't think this right.

Went for lunch here today. The food was good! I came right before 12pm and it got busy very quickly! My server Nancy was very nice and a highlight of my experience! I'm a fan of the cocktail sauce here and they've added grilled pineapple since I was here last, they're very tasty. They replenish the food often so it's never empty!

Unfortunately from my experience this restaurant is not the most sanitary as I found this on the ground next to our table yesterday and had to inform one of the waiters to remove it which was disgusting! Also, staff should be more attentive as I had to call them multiple times to refill my glass of water!
