I started attending Marina medical clinic in the mid 90's as we had just purchased a house is Seaford. In 2013 I was in an MVA and went to see my local GP. I waited 20 mins to see the doctor and my sister came along to support me as I was in shock after being hit by a car while stationary at 70 km ph. Once in the appointment, I told the doctor who attended me that I couldnt lift me arm, to which he proceeded to tell me nothing was wrong with me, over and over.. I reminded him that I nearly died and why cant i lift my arm or turn my head then? I started crying as I watched this older "doctor" start raising his voice telling me I was fine and preaching how he is very important, he's a doctor and people are waiting to see him. He basically lost the plot because I told him, I was not fine, I had also been waiting to see him and he kicked me out while I asked him why he was getting so angry.. I burst into tears and made a complaint to reception. I regretfully went back recently as I got pregnant and then miscarried. I was seeing Dr Mikail for over 3 months, attending many appointments. When I asked for a medical certificate to show I needed time off to recover after the miscarriage, Dr Mikail gave me only 1 day!!! I made a further complaint to the clinic and the head of the clinic Dr Farag told the receptionist to tell me to come in and said she was sorry, they take care of if immediately and to come in and get another certificate. I went to attend my appointment and found out that I had been banned some 4 years ago, after the incident with the previous doctor and not notified! THIS MEDICAL CLINIC BANS CLIENTS AND DOES NOT INFORM THEM, THEY ACTED AS THOUGH THEY WERE ABOVE INQUIRY AND WERE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL to those in severe hardship.. Reception and Dr Ekel, threatened to call the police to have me removed because I was crying once again & asking why they allowed me to see Dr Mikail for months and what were the grounds for the ban, why did Dr Farag and the receptionist tell me to come in then? They had no answers, they yelled, threatens me and treated me like a criminal and all i asked for was a medical certificate for the month as I had had a miscarriage, PID and was hospitalized, suffering through misdiagnosis at Frankston Hospital and then being looked after at Monash Medical. The staff at Monash Medical centre said that the doctors at Marina Medical were not doing their jobs and that they had a duty of care to give me a certificate as I had been through so much in such a short space.. I had to then go and get a medical certificate from them! I highly recommend you go elsewhere as the doctor here act like spoilt incompetent teenagers! When a mother loses her child and the doctors ban her in 2013, with no reason and then allow her to attend the clinic for months until I challenged the decision of one of there staff, then suddenly I was banned again, even after being told by the clinics leading Doctor, to come in! This is not professional and an inquiry needs to be made. I will be following this up further!! The receptionist who was on that day also shared private information about a client, saying her husband had died and she had a drug habit and I called her on her unprofessional manner, she responded by denying she had said anything and then told me to get out or she is calling the police!

I will never ever set foot in this surgery ever again, extremely poor customer service. I made an appointment on Monday the 1st of April 2019 for 6pm with a Doctor at MMC. I did explain that I was leaving from my work in St. Kilda and that I may not be on time, the receptionist said just call and let us know if you are going to be late. I called at 5:56pm and explained I was at the intersection of Wells and Springvale Roads. The receptionist said no problem as there was only 1 patient ahead of me. I also told her that I have a badly infected knee and I was almost certain that I may need to go to the Emergency Department at Monash Hospital in Clayton. (Wanted confirmation from Doctor) Arrived at Marina Medical Centre at approximately 6:10pm went to reception and gave my details for the appointment, this was confirmed and I sat down to what I thought would be a short wait. While I was waiting another 2 or 3 patients were called and saw the doctor I was booked to see. (I am not sure of the number of other patients as I was not counting). At 6:50pm the doctor then called another patient, I then got up and said I am not waiting any longer and that I had explained how I had a very bad leg infection and was going to ED at a Hospital. I was very annoyed that I had to wait so long, considering at 5:56pm there was only 1 patient ahead of me. I believe I was fed a whole heap of baloney on the phone and they had shown no compassion at all. I wrote 2 letters to the MMC & the Doctor 6-4-19 & 21-5-19 it took them 11 weeks to reply to my first letter, that's how much concern they showed me. I will never ever set foot in this surgery ever again, extremely poor customer service.

It’s pretty clear based on the reviews of this foul place that they are rubbish, but I will add my 2 cents. Customer service here is so horrible. Every single one of those receptionists are so unprofessional, rude and uncaring. Every time, I have been there, I have felt so unwelcome and belittled. A recent story to highlight their incompetence. Just last Friday, I asked whether I can come in to pick up a script the following day. They confirmed they are open till 4, so I get there at 3:30pm and to my dismay, they are closed. I call them back the following Monday (today) to confirm they are open, they said yes and I even checked online to see they were open and it confirmed they were. I get there, and they are closed. I phone them again, and despite the receptionist sitting there looking at me at the front door, they sat there and let the phone go to “you've reached us after hours. Honestly every single time I have been forced to visit this medical centre, I am baffled by how unprofessional they are. Do yourself a favour, visit another medical clinic.

Where do I start. Had a really bad experience there back in 2008, when I had really bad dose of the flu, and was talked to as a criminal, was refused a medical certificate, and not given a script for anything, and left humiliated, and wasted my time. I swore I would never go there again. Fast forward 15 years, I had moved back to the area, I was desperate, and thought it could have changed doctors, so to my surprise the doctor who saw me was the same one from 15yrs prior, but older, he said, why are you back, go to your own doctor, and I said I could not get in. He was just the same, dismissive, and refused to provide a script or inspect me, or ask for my symptoms. I was so unwell, and basically pushed me out the door, even though I waited longer than an hour after my appointment. As it turned out, I was admitted to hospital through emergency, as was diagnosed with an asthma attack. Do your job properly, am surprised they are still operating, there is no empathy, or compassion.

I also take a lady I care for to get her prescription every couple of months and she also has severe arthritis. She is only 60 and gets told that she's getting old and her body will just begin to wear down as she ages.... no referrals, no suggestions, no preventative measures to stop it from getting worse... I've kept my faith in this practice for a long time but I just don't think I can do it anymore... and god forbid if I was to say anything in person to someone there, considering some of the other reviews and that people have left in tears because the people who are supposed to listen and help instead make people feel unworthy/unimportant

If you want to see a real doctor, don't bother with Dr Eckel, unprofessional, self serving and arrogant! Took my autistic son a few years ago for a few appointments and he was at least 45 minutes late each time and we were the first patients for the afternoon session! I asked him if we could reduce the dosage of an anti psychotic for my Autistic son because it was damaging him and he was having trouble breathing after each dose and he told me " he will be on it for life (like all his other patients, without disabilities), go to another doctor if you want fo reduce it" I took his advice and went to another doctor and took him off it totally and he is functioning 100 per better than when he was on it. He cannot assume to know how a person with a disability feels and compare and treat patients with the same medication who can can tell him what the medication does to them. Keep clear of this doctor!

My son passed away under particularly tragic circumstances and I was suffering depression and Migraines. I went to get a script for some headache tablets which Dr Farag gave me. (it probably took up about 2 minutes of his time) I then said I wanted to discuss an anti depressant as my life was just about not worth living. .. He told me to book a separate appointment. Only one issue per appointment. I told him it was very hard for me to motivate myself out of bed to make another appointment as my depression was so debilitating..... HE SCREAMED AT ME !!!!! ONE ISSUE PER APPOINTMENT. !!!!! I have never been treated with such cruelty... and from someone who's life mission it is to help people..... OR IS IT TO DRUM UP MORE APPOINTMENTS TO MAKE MORE MONEY ? Particularly disgusting as they are taking no care but extorting vulnerable unwell people.

First time customer, I should have taken note of what I read about this place, had a booking, so of course got the 15mins early to fill out the forms, fair enough, there was only one other person in there who was seeing another Doc, the reception staff couldn't even raise a hello, just got "what's your name", so anyway got told to take a seat, then other people started to arrive and three went in before me to the Doc I was seeing, I said to myself if the people across the seats from me go in before me I'm leaving, and sure enough they got the call up so I just left after 40mins, no phone call either to see what happened. People that think this place is a great Centre need to visit other Medical Centres, this place doesn't even deserve one star, and running like it's the 70's. Thanks for nothing

When i arrived to the clinic the first girl on the phone was very nice to me, and the second lady who handed me the "new client form" was also nice at first. The wait wasn't too long, but still long enough for me to be frustrated. I went in to see the doctor and from the moment i went in he was horrible, he made me feel as if i was just wasting his time and spoke to me like i'm stupid. i couldn't wait to get out of there fast enough! once leaving the doctors room i went to the front desk to be told "why are you standing here? aren't you done?" i said "yes i am, is there anything i need to sign now?" and she responded with "no! goodbye!" in a snappy rude voice. This was my first and WAS MY LAST visit to this clinic! no wonder my partner never wants to go to the doctors when he's sick!

Disgusting place. I cannot get over how the doctors treat their patients and how RUDE the receptionists are. I have never written a bad review before but due to my recent experience I will never return back. I do not know how this place operates nor the qualifications of these doctors. I would prefer to pay $$$ to see a proper doctor than waste my time with this place. I will also be reporting them to the medical board as this place is a disgrace and shouldn't be running. They would leave a patient lying their dying than offer any form of assistance and not to mention the incorrect diagnosis they have done not only for myself but to my relatives. The receptionists are disgraceful. Don't waste your time with this bulk billing centre they aren't worth putting your health on the line.

Never thought I'd need to do this sort of review but I shall. I went in to see Dr Farag to enquire about the Covid Vaccine and IMMEDIATELY almost got yelled at "Research it yourself! My kids and I have it and were fine." Hows that supposed to help me?! I'm sorry good sir, but it's your job to help me weigh up the benefits and risks of a medication! If you feel your job is just to prescribe meds I feel you need a different profession! You can't just not do your job! They're never on time with appointments I don't understand what the point is in having them. Long wait times, lack of real emotional intelligence from both reception and doctors. Place needs to go, and the people! My advice is look for another medical centre if you want actual humanity in your doctors :)

I had a very poor experience getting my Covid booster administered by Dr. Farag. I sat waiting in the treatment room and he walked towards me with a needle in hand, no introduction nor sit down to discuss prior concerns or enquiries. I asked the doctor to confirm if the vaccine was Pfizer, he nodded his head and did not show me the label. I asked the doctor to confirm the vaccine had not expired and he arrogantly responded, “I’m offended that you have even asked me that”. I was not shown the expiry date nor the brand of vaccine and felt extremely uncomfortable at his lack of communication and people skills. As a patient I have a right to ask these questions. Please teach this doctor to follow the rights of medication administration.

THIS PLACE IS RUBBISH. Incredibly unprofessional. Kept my stepdaughter (disability pensioner, chronic pain, trying to organise medications before Xmas break) waiting - after being given a 9am phone appointment - from 9am-6:30pm. 9 AND A HALF HOURS. And this isn’t the first time Hanna and his crew have done this. He keeps public patients waiting and treats them like 2nd class citizens because he knows that they have to wait- and no-one has called him to account. Hanna wouldn’t return her calls (despite assurances that he would) and several times his staff cut her off the phone while waiting. Maybe public patients are too much hard work for Dr Hanna and his staff. I advised her to make a formal complaint. Dodgy as.

Disgusting Behaviour! My 91 year old mother attended Marina Medical Centre to get a wound on her leg looked at and dressed. The doctor she saw she describe as being curt with her – especially after determining that she was not a regular patient at the clinic.The Doctor proceeded to dress the wound with betadine and a gauze pad, then took an old bandage off a shelf and bound the wound. Mum noticed that the bandage had blood on it (obviously used), but was too apprehensive because of his manner to say anything. No correct guidelines for basic first aid were followed. A sterile bandage should have been used to bind the wound. No duty of care. No professionalism. His treatment of my mother was disgusting.

This Clinic is a disgrace to all clinics, complete unprofessionalism, my mother who has gone through so much horrible treatment by Dr Mickail alone is shocking he is lucky I don't sue him and Dr Yossry for malpractice as Dr Yossry perscibed me with 3 antibiotics that could have killed me in my sleep and the other idiot Dr Mickael has been nothing but rude and disrespectful to my mother who is suffering from high blood pressure and sore joints, not only do they not listen to their patients they don't even bother to check their prescriptions to see if they have made mistakes, you are very lucky to still be open otherwise I would get this place shut down in a heart beat

I wasted 1 week of my life being unable to hear due to a wax blockage in one ear. I visited this clinic and saw Dr Farag who informed me l had an ear infection and put me on antibiotics. There was no change after 4 days so l returned to the clinic and was told by Dr Farag to finish the 5 day prescription and come back in 2 days. Upon my return he informed me the infection was gone but l said my ear is still blocked so he wrote me a referral for a HEARING TEST. As l had never had any hearing issues previously l sought a 2nd opinion. Thank god l found a Doctor who syringed my ears and immediately my hearing was back to normal. NEVER will l visit this centre again!

If i could give this clinic 0 stars, i would. Absolutely disgraceful. The reception staff are rude, un helpful and make you feel completely unwelcome. Thier pathology is woeful, they lost my bloods, i couldnt get onto the pathology company they say they use to try and follow up. Ive been waiting over a week for results on an important blood test and they could not have cared less when i called them. I have now had to go elsewhere to try and get another blood test to get these results in. I highly doubt any care or concern will be given to this review, but hey, at least i got to have my say. Steer well clear of this clinic!!!!

Dr Ansari. The doctor who couldn't even read ultra sound results - oh I think you have a problem with your gall bladder but go to the hospital I can't help you any further. So what's wrong with my gall bladder, doctor? Can't tell you go to the hospital. Can you give me a medical certificate for work then? Oh no you have to come back tomorrow so I can have a look at your discharge papers. Money grabbing tactic. I have never encountered such incompetent cocky person such as him. The hospital I went to can't get why he sent me there when he could diagnosed my condition based on the ultrasound results. Wow. Just wow.

First visit here and saw Dr Mikhail as a walk in - was surprised I didn’t have to wait too long. First question I got from him though - “Why haven’t you gone to see your usual doctor?” If I’d been able to be seen by my usual doctor, I’d have gone there (as it was, they couldn’t guarantee me being seen as a walk in). Next up, questions about why I was there. Diagnosed a soft tissue injury without any actual examination, prescribed Voltaren 50mg and said go back on Monday if no improvement by then. Bedside manner was completely lacking! Won’t be going back there in a hurry!

If you work in the medical industry you should at least have some kind of compassion for your patients! We just wanted to get some answers and instead were treated like diseased animals! You made a prescription without even touching my son (3 years old) to inspect what he was complaining about, you then lectured me about not Covid testing him because he has a sore throat, when I explained that he has been snoring and having blood noses you didn’t even ask questions just handed me a script and shoved me out the door! You should be ashamed to call yourself a doctor!

I have just read a review and have had a similar experience. I am in the process of trying to self manage and improve my back and sciatica visiting the GP today in order to get a referral to see a Physio to ask advise on further exercises which may improve my condition. I need to alleviate the sciatic pain I am using a plan set out for me by my Doctors in rural WA. All my test MRI and Cat Scan test results show I have a problem but I was made to feel that I was wasting the Doctors time. I have come home in tears and will never see a male doctor again.

Took my mother here to have wounds redressed and check. The doctor grumpily asked why I hadn't taken her to our regular doctor (couldn't get into ours) and then proceeded to ask me to undress my mothers bandages why he served some other patients. Left us waiting in the treatment room for half hour. When he came back he was extremely rude and very rough with my mothers deep open wound to the point she left there shaking and very distraught. I will never ever attend this clinic again. Disgusting clinic - should be shut down.

The receptionist was the rudest lady, I was having an analysis reaction (dying) and she refused to help me then said ‘okay well can you please pay $85 and fill out these papers) all whilst I could berly stand or breathe. It was the worst experience and she should not be working in customer service let alone at a medical clinic. The doctor was so amazing and really nice/caring but dealing with such a horrible person at reception was not pleasant specially when it is very clear how young and petrified I was feeling.

Worse place to go called at 12:00 and book an appointment for 4:10pm got there at 4:05pm and was told the doctor has now gone home as there no more booking and it was a slow day well there was one more but u didn't look that hard at ur booking list or dident write it down now we goto try and find a different GP and try and book an appointment today at 4:30 / 5 ish Marina Medical Centere you need to better urself and be there till the working hour is done not leave early just because it slow

Pure Money grabbers !!! I have dealt with these unprofessional doctors quite a few times, You are rushed through as fast as possible with only a chance to to explain one problem then made to come back. I went there this morning about a blocked ear and was told to get some over the counter ear drops then come back in 3 days to get my ear cleaned via a syringe. I went to another doctor after this & he scratched his head as to why he didn't syringe my ear when was there. Never Again !!!

The lady who served me at the front desk should NOT be in customer service. I was disgusted with her rudeness towards me and other patients. From her sour facial expressions to her belittling tone she has managed to bring down the entire mood of the clinic. I have never been made to feel so unwelcome before in my entire life. I will continue to post about this woman as long as she is still employed or until she changes her attitude. Absolutely disgusting excuse of a human.

Took my kid after an fall at school he was crying and in pain they made me wait an hour there, then the male dr was so rude screaming at me and accusing me that I want a unneasarry x Ray's ( which I did not ask for) and that I was waisting his time and to come back on Monday if he was still in pain. Well Dr you and the practice would NEVER See me again. My son was so upset afterwards

I am 25 weeks pregnant and my doctor never referral me to my preferred hospital. Everytime I had a GP appointment I asked and he said his done it. I rang the hospital to check and they never had my information. I followed it up and he then told me his been too 'busy' to write up the referral. I took my history to another clinic and the next day I had an appointment booked in with a midwife.

Absolutely appalling service. Refused service even with 4 RAPID tests that were all NEGATIVE for someone that has often gotten tonsilitis being refused service. Well sorry, but PCR test clinics are being shut down and RAPID TESTS are being told to be used for indication of COVID 19. EXTREMELY rude and condecending staff. But i have had MANY bad experiences with this place. Not suprised.

Appointment for 4.40..i arrive at4.35...i get told about a 1 hour wait because of 9 walk ins but surely walk ins should have to wait, that's why you make APPOINTMENTS..oh no not the case....so i tell them im not waiting, shall i just turn up tomorrow whenever...IT WOULD BE BETTER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IM TOLD.....HILARIOUS...UNBELIEVABLE

Absolutely disgraceful service. Booked an 9:10am appointment with a doctor who started at 9am… to wait 30mins past it and when I ask how much longer they tell me won’t be too long. No sorry that is not ok! I booked that appointment for a reason. I don’t understand how or why but if your doctors cannot stick to time frames then book less appointments in so they are not “over worked”

Doctor David Eckel is very good, listens and analyses carefully. His knowledge and experience are extensive and very up to date. Unfortunately, he is let down by long waiting times, not because of his popularity, but because of some foolish notion that we all need to get used to waiting an hour, even though we've been carefully scheduled into a pinpoint accurate appointment time.

If I could give 0 stars I would, I don’t even know where to begin with this place. The receptionists are as rude as they come & don’t know how to provide ‘customer service’ one bit. Forgot my mask at home and they tried to charge me $2 for a mask.. Said the doctor wouldn’t see me unless I went home and got a mask ( fair enough) except I went home and didn’t come back lol.

this place was absolutely rubbish!! the customer service is the worst I had to wait over an hour to see a doctor and that's with an appointment. once I finally got seen by dr Croce and he prescribed me and my daughter a danderous antibiotic that leads to serious life threatening contitions. DO NOT GO DR CROCE!! if you go to this place make sure to do ur research

When they say 'there's 3 more people in front of you' multiply that by 9 and then add 47 and that's the true amount of people in front. Marina medical centre need to be really clear as to who you are seeing and what number you are in the Congo Line of sick people because I had an appointment but it hasn't made an ounce of difference!!!!

Reception ladies have disgusting attitude towards every patient that walks in and rolls their eyes after they have walked off. Sorry but it you don’t like the job you are in maybe it’s time to find another one!!

Very rude doctors. One doctor told me he would not see me again as he would not accept new patients, due to government policy even though I had gone there twenty years ago until i temporarily moved out of the area. Funny how other doctors who I had never seen me before in other clinics nearby were happy to have me as a new patient.

I booked an appointment to get a script for endone as I suffer from pancreatic attacks . I was looked at like some sort of codine junky and told this is to be the only time he will do it. Hope he realises from this that I get these attacks due to death of my son (cancer) and Friday was 1 year memorial. Absolutely disgusting doctor

Never again.....the receptionist is rude and the doctor is horrible, he basically was not going to examine my 4 year old grandson until l walked to the chemist to get a RAT done. After l complained he listened to his chest, that was all, l then had to ask him if he could take his temperature. Disgraceful

Absolutely terrible service from reception. Knowing the doctor is always late for the booked appointment time we made a booking for the first appointment to see the doctor that day. Two patients saw the doctor before us and we waited half an hour. Stop wasting my time!!!! Farag this is not acceptable

Thank you so much to the lovely reception and Dr Mikhail for seeing us at such short notice, Dr Mikhail did such an incredible job at checking my daughters X-ray and finding the break in her arm and then applying a cast for her. He was so kind and helpful thank you so much.

First time and last time I’ll ever visit this medical centre. Reception staff had unwelcoming attitude. Ultra sound technician I got seen to didn’t verbalise any concern or comfort me through such a personal examination. Overall it was an in and out unwelcoming experience.

You want a definition of useless this place and their unhappy, useless receptionists are a great example of it. You call to make a booking "sorry all our bookings are full" but we'll take walk ins. Then you walk in "sorry we can't see anymore patients" . Useless.

Worst clinic for check up. Reception staff is pretty good an dealing well with the patient. But i can't say the same about the doctors. I had consultation with dr Mikhail but doctor didnt bother to acess me and just prescribed the pain relief and send me home.

Absolutely Rubbish, Dr. Ramzy Mikhail. Rude, impatient and single minded. He even undermined another GP i had attended before our consult. I therefore went to a medical one franchise for a second opinion and was provided with a much more satisfactory report!

Disgusting customer service. If you have an appointment that should take priority, however I waited an hour and a half and still people who walked in were getting in before us. I'm so furious. Reception doesn't care. Not impressed will never ever go back.

After 25yrs it's A complete example of a buisness parading as a practice..make you wait an hour and won't spend more than 2 minutes with you .. you've done it this time "Mr Farag" God help you if you really desperate for help and need a caring consultant

Absolutely woeful. They just want numbers in and out, no real concern shown for medical issues. I was told, you have to see your normal doctor. For a new issue ? really? I don't have time for this there are people waiting was the excuse I was given.

I have been seeing Dr Farag for many years. He is a genuine & caring Doctor & always professionally looks after myself and family. I would sincerely suggest if anyone is after an outstanding & knowledgeable Doctor, please see this gentleman.

This place is rubbish, the receptionists give the worst possible customer service, making everyone around feel miserable because they hate their jobs and are just so incredibly rude. And to top it all off, the doctors aren’t much better…

Lovely team and doctors. I have been going to this clinic for years. Dr A Farag is fantastic, quick and straight to the point. I take my daughter to see Dr Guirguis, she is the most lovely GP and is extremely thorough. Highly recommend.

Saw A Dr. Mikhal I beleive his name is. The worst doctor I have ever seen. He did not even look at my injury or suggest any treatments. I had to ask and prompt things myself. Google is more helpful that this doctor. Absolutely useless.

Was 10min early to an appointment 40min later a guy walks in asking to see a doc 30min later his in and out 20min after that my name is called the doc was so rude my problem wasn't solved. Worse practice dont recommend to anyone.....

Just waited 25 minutes for bloodwork, staff didn’t bother to tell me to take a number so now there are other people in front of me and I’m basically back at the start. Staff very unprofessional, uncaring and rude. Do not recommend.

Dr Guirguis is extremely patient and lovely, I have trusted her for years and is fantastic for female health and for my kids. Great to have a bulk billing clinic in the local area open early mornings and late nights.
