I have been Muslim all my life i ave been going to that mosque since i was a kid when i decided to get married i told my husband he have to become Muslim after we got married he became abusive and cheating i reach out to the imam for counseling after he heard what my husband was doing to me he told him to pray the second session when i spoke up against my husband lies the Iman interrupted and said to him.. " DO SHE LET YOU BE A MAN" i was devastated as that was my only hope my husband tried to kill my destroy my life and business i was homeless and when i had to go to court for a protection order i contacted the masjid several time to get a letter from the iman to verify my story after my husband told the judge he was not Muslim that only i was and accused me for being a terrorist i also text the Iman pictures of all the evidence that my husband was doing just to get a letter of support that im not a terriost and i was trying to get help for our marrage and i never got a phone call a letter or anything . Im no longer Muslim because of this and i would advise any woman that is in an abusive relationship or having maritial problem PLEASE do not seek cousling from thjis man HE IIS A FRUAD .. and he help my husband to distroy my life ... i am seeking cousling from a christians and i have been geeting support by non muslims to help build my life back Here is an update to use from a women (if that is not a problem to help you not to aid in the destroying another women's life ) 5 indicators or an Evil and Wicket Heart by Leslie Vernick you will realize what you were dealing with it may help save someones life....

When you enter, it doesn't have a masjid feeling. They have tables set up with food, I believe selling. Sometimes the TV could be playing very loudly with music and no one bats an eye. The imams after the prayer says "brothers and sisters assalam alikom" you'd think he's trying to make an announcement but nope that's what he does all the time lol. He actually can't even recite surah al Fatiha properly, I mean there are plenty of other people that could do a better job reciting it. Another brother grabs a donation box after every prayer to collect money for an expansion project, a dollar after every salah, and he says assalam alikom to each and every one as he very firmly shakes your hand while passing by you with the donation box. Its kinda weird. They also love to talk politics. They believe that protesting is the way to change things. Also, there is no partition between the brothers and sisters section in the prayer room, it can be very distracting especially for us men.

I use to attend this masjid when I was married to my x husband. When I need help with my marriage no one and I mean no one was try to help me at that time i had 3 little kids because my x husband was a member there so they believe everything he said and what they offer me was a divorce. The iman wife was play Spade downstairs where they serve the food and my very religion mom could not believe they were playing Spades in the house of worship. Not a place I would recommend anyone to attend for worship.

Extremely welcoming space. Imam gave a wonderful khutbah during terawih. Security offered to escort sisters to our car as a way to ensure that our safety wasn’t compromised (something I deeply appreciated). Loved that the space was open and that women were able to also view the Imam as he gave his khutbah. There’s a separate smaller room for women that’s connected to the main prayer area which I thought was very handy for changing of hijab, privacy, etc

As Salaamu Alaikum, Alhamdulillah for this beautiful Jummah today. I thank Allah (SWT) for allowing me to be able to come to the local library and watch the Jummah live while my sons are in school across the street when we are not able to get there in person. I am also able to replay the Jummah khutbah at home later so that my sons can listen, learn and benefit from the beautiful messages. As Salaamu Alaikum

MM will always be my mosque! I grew up here and went to school here as a child. Its a historic sight and referred to as The Nations Mosque. Very balanced religious views and welcomes all regardless of race, religion, etc. etc. May God bless all who enter and those who keep up this mosque.

Attended solat several times at this masjid. Including one Jumaat. 10years ago. Then realised, the Khatib forgotten to give 2 Khutbah. Only one... And Iqamah. And straight to solat. The brothers are very nice. I owed them a lot though. I'm a foreigner from Southeast Asia

Should add these details to the face of the website. Jumma Khutbah Starts at 1 and the Jummah prayer portions typically follows immediately after at 1:30. Very welcoming masjid. Great community vibe. Definitely check it out if you're new and looking to connect or learn.

Free mixing, men and women pray together same room with no screen and had big pictures set up in the prayer area for a guest, a diplomat visiting. Also still praying 6 feet apart. A lot of bidah, misguidance at this Masjid. May Allah guide them to the correct path.

This place is alhamdulillah so awesome. People here are amazing beyond my imagination. They welcomed me so warmly and help me and my family to find everything what we needed. Insha allah if I ever visit to DC I will must come here. Fi-amanillah.

Masjid Muhammad is your friendly neighborhood mosque offering all five prayers. You'll always find a smile and a salaam. I like that the musallah is one undivided room allowing sisters have visual and auditory access to speakers. Street parking.

Nice and peaceful Masjid in Washington DC. Thank for the manging people who keep it and working in it. Emam Khotba was excellent though he might need to make shorter to accommodate workers who have only one hour break to attend Jumaa salat.

Very comfortable and accommodating. The people were very welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have Arabic language classes for both Youth and Adults along with Leadership and Islamic Studies Classes. Everyone should come and visit.

Historical masjid where popular celebrity i.e Malcolm X used to teach there, Boxer Muhammad Ali visited, Elijah Muhammad, etc They serve free early dinner on every Mondays and Thursdays ! The visitors are so friendly !!!

The kicked out one of the brothers for coming in dusty when the brother trying to pray the said he was too dusty so he wasn’t allowed to pray with his clothes what type of masjid does this asstagfurallah

Very disappointed masjid ..brother came to pray jummah Cause his clothes was dusty they didn’t allow him to pray his fard obligation and told him because he was dusty he wasn’t allowed to pray very sad

Growing up within this ummah has been a blessing. I've spent time in many masjids/mosques around the world. There some good and some bad but none make me feels as uplifted as Masjid Muhammad.

Place to go and pray 5 times a day. It has restroom and place to make ablutions. Thank you for the brothers and sisters who are always taking care of this place.
