I usually go to a different massage parlor where they give me a 60 minutes massage for $70, but I saw a promotion on the window that read "Get a 90 minutes massage for $60" and decided to walk in and ask about it. I asked about the massage, it was 5:20 pm, and the person in the front desk told me that the sooner they could give me an appointment was at 6:00 pm, but it couldn't be a 90 minutes appointment, only 1 hour. I asked what would be the price for that, and she told me $49,99, so I agreed. She then asked me if I had been with them before and I told her yes, she looked for my file in her computer and found me, and set me up for the 6:00 pm appointment. I went outside and waited. I got my massage session, and when I walked out, this same person told me I had to pay $99,99!!! I told her how come, that she told me something different, and she "explained" that the price she told me before was only if it was my first visit. Obviously, I told her I disagree with that practice, she knew it all before I had my massage and she didn't correct the price she gave me before, and her solution was "offering" me different plans to become a member ($59,99 per month, minimum 6 months I believe and a trial for 3 months, $180). I felt ripped of, and I was weighting my options, like just to decline to pay and she could contact the police if she wanted. In the end I decided not to keep confrontational, and I just paid and got out of there. I have been looking around and I have found that the small print does explain this first visit policy, so I don't know if I would have won in case of conflict, because I walked in only with the information provided spoken. I think the only thing I can do is express my upset for others not to be cheated, if someone makes the same mistake I did.

I pre-paid for a membership at this place. I made an appointment to get a massage. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk did not acknowledge me. She was shooting the breeze with her colleague. Eventually, I called her attention and told her I was there for my appointment. I was told that I did not have an appointment. I responded that I had gotten a confirmation call and email about the appointment. Now, mind you, I had taken off from work that day so I could run some errands and end the day with that massage. On top of that, she wanted to make it my fault, stating that I may have misunderstood the call, to which I asked her if she's implying that I cannot understand a simple conversation. I then showed her the confirmation email but I never got an apology for my missed appointment. To make matters worse, the owner was not any different. She was not apologetic either. Her first instinct was to lay the blame on me. That tells you the kind of culture that exists there. I understand that mistakes do happen but an immediate simple sincere apology for wasting my time without trying to lay the blame on me would have been great. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have been a member of Massage Heights since 2010. I have always enjoyed the benefits of affordable and quality massage offered at this location; however, this morning I woke up ill and called the location as soon as they opened to cancel my 9:00am appointment. I was charged due to being “outside of the 4-hour cancellation policy”. While I understand the practice and enforcement of these types of policies, without a mechanism for canceling appointments outside of location hours it isn’t good business. I was told it could only be waived with management approval and that I would be given a call to discuss further- no call, just a charge to my email. So much for customer service to a loyal decade long patron with no history of cancellations. _______________ Heard from the retreat manager, Juan, about a week after this review. He righted the scenario by crediting the charge back to my account. Unfortunate that it took a negative review for prompt customer service, but I am satisfied with the outcome. Of all Massage Heights locations, this one is my favorite- great therapists, friendly front desk and decent availability.

Just left my massage and I will not be coming back. When making the appointment I asked for deep tissue and when I arrived, they asked the same question. I arrived 20 minutes early to fill out any paperwork needed. My therapist was about five minutes late and ended on time versus making up the five minutes she was late for. She asked me what pressure and where my problem areas were. I said deep tissue you can break me because I have bad knots in my upper shoulders and neck area. She proceeded to massage me, and it was the most froufrou lightest massage I have ever had. I asked her to massage harder more than once. To make it even worse she never even addressed my problem areas. To get my neck she just stretched me in very uncomfortable positions which frankly made my neck feel 10 times worse since she didn’t massage it. After this review I’m going to call my chiropractor and definitely a different massage place. What a waste of my time and money.

I’ve been a member at Massage Heights for two years and this location is by far the worst. I brought my boyfriend to Vanderbilt for a couples massage. We arrived at 6:00 pm but didn’t start until 6:10 pm. It was booked for an hr massage but they finished at 6:53 pm so our massages were cut short. The masseuse was not good. I told her my problem areas and wanted full body too but she ended up just doing the problem areas. I asked for firm pressure and she tried to do it for a small portion of the time but then I could tell got tired so I felt like she was just rubbing lotion over my skin and it wasn’t even a deep tissue massage. She asked if I could sit up and my blanket almost fell off me. It was awkward. I called today to ask for some sort of reimbursement and the person on the phone named Erica was really sassy and had attitude with me. Very poor service there. Will never go to that awful location again.

Canceled membership due to scheduling issues, and due to bizarre pushback regarding an inexperienced therapist. First time scheduled 90 minute dual massage with my minor teen child, assured that I could apply accrued points. Morning of appt, inexplicably canceled, but assured I could transfer points to another location. This turned out to be a lie, but not informed of such until AFTER service when other location wanted full payment. Months pass and I make another 90 minute dual appt for myself and teen child. 3 weeks to appt, no issues, 24 hours in advance, appts confirmed. SEVEN MINUTES before the appt, get a call (we were walking in) to cancel. Utter and complete ridiculousness. Of course, both times the manager is missing in action, so I do sympathize with the receptionist that has apparently never been trained on the most basic responsibilities of her job.

My overall experience was nice. My massage therapist was Michael and he was great. Check in was pleasant. However, check out started out nice until I was met with pressure sales tactics to purchase a membership. I went from being relaxed to stressed out over their attempt to get me to purchase one of the membership plans. I told them no, not at this time and was given a response of “so you are willing to pay more at each visit than sign up for membership “. I explained that my budget is not flexible to commit to monthly auto drafts to my account. I just wasn’t in the position to sign. I was given unpleasant looks and was checked out. The massage therapist is what made the overall experience nice. The rooms and bathroom were very clean, but the carpet throughout the facility could use some vacuuming.

Great services, but the selling practices around the lifestyle program weren’t great. I was told when I signed up that I could cancel the membership if I moved and that I could give my service credits to my partner if I wanted to. The fine print was that you had to move more than 25 miles away from any location (there are multiple locations in Houston, I only moved ten miles from the location I signed up with) and you can only transfer service credits to someone who already has a membership. I could’ve read the fine print for myself, but I thought I was being given a full, honest description of the membership. I don’t feel good about how I was sold on the program because those were two of the reasons I was willing to try it.

Very friendly staff that make you feel comfortable. The ambiance was perfect. First time is at their membership price which is 50$ an hour. The massage therapist has you fill out an intake form and asks you what you want to focus on and what to avoid. Overall the quality of the massage its self is a 7/ 10. ( the first reason it gets a 4/5). It gets that score because it was good, just nothing amazing. I would recommend anyone to atleast try it once, and if you like it join the membership which is 60$ a month which includes 1 hr massage per month. I do not believe their standard 100$/ hour is worth it. ( the second reason it got a 4/5). The only catch is their membership is 6 or 12 months.

We did the hour massage for the first time here. We got there at exactly our appointment time and had to fill out paper work for about 15 minutes. Once we finally got in we were told that our massage time was only going to be 45 minutes because of the time it took for us to fill out paperwork. We were perfectly understanding of that and we informed them if we could just focus on the areas we were really looking to get worked on, that's the more important rather than the whole body massage. Didn't focus on the areas I requested, and crammed a fully body massage in 45 minutes. The massage was o.k. but I would have been more happy with my experience if they focused more on what I asked.

My husband took me for our anniversary. It was the best gift ever! He asked for a couple massage. Brittany and Linh were AMAZING! We had the massage plus hot stones, aromatherapy and hot towels. I usually have pain in my legs, and couldn’t believe that without a word, Brittany knew exactly what my muscles needed it. This place is AMAZING! The staff went beyond helping my hubby to set up everything for our anniversary. They are the sweetest! Is you want a professional place, and you want to feel refreshed, renewed, and definitely you want to give some love to yourself or gift it to someone, THIS IS THE PLACE! If I can give them more stars I would do it. But this just have 5 stars.

My massage was good however I arrived at approximately 4:05 due to traffic and the receptionist greeted me right away asked me if I needed to use the restroom and I did once I returned she ask me to have a sit my therapist would be out. The receptionist called to the back for Henry. He comes to the front gets my folder, calls my name and we go to the room. My massage was for 4 pm and it was a 90 minute but by the time he started it was 4:25 pm the massage was over at 5:30 pm. I was very relax and decided not to say anything but I have never experienced this with my regular Massage Heights location. And Henry confirmed it was 90 minutes before he began. I’m going to call tomorrow.

I have been to different locations but this is my favorite. The front desk crew is always very personable. Naya explained everything and displays welcoming customer service literally every single visit. I've had the pleasure of having Josh as a massage therapist. He was great and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. I felt so energized after my massage. In a recent visit, I've decided to try their facial. Vanessa explained every procedure and made sure I was comfortable. Even when she did extractions, I felt relieved. She made a suggestion of an ion treatment for my dry skin. My skin has been so moistured and nourished for days.

I went to get a massage this past weekend and had one of the best experiences! I have been to other Massage Heights locations but the Vanderbilt location is the is the best. I was greeted by Jannaya and Vy and they always make me feel welcome. Anytime I have questions about my membership and getting scheduled they take care of it! This visit, my massage therapist was Maddie for the first time and she was freaking awesome. I mean all the massage therapists rock and that’s why I keep going back to the Vanderbilt location. They have a great team at this location and I always look forward to my visits!

I get frequent massages. Her name is Sandy; I say it in the present tense because you, yes "you reading this" should go and request her. She is an amazing Massage Therapist. Her movement is fluid with continuity, and she is as strong as you need her to be. Totally professional, and a credibly sweet heart of a woman. Massage Heights Vanderbilt was very nice, and not boushie at all. The front desk was service oriented, and made me feel very welcomed. Tip her well, she works very hard, and deserves it! I do not want to go next time, and hear that "you" did not go as instructed...

The reception desk staff were great very accommodating called for a last minute massage the were able to take me in got me all checked in Rossana came out to get me very nice lady massage was just not a massage was more like rubbing lotion on my body no matter how many times I said apply pressure not sure if she was tired or sick with the constant sniffing of the nose so I left feeling annoyed and worse with hopes not to become sick if she was sick. Probably not a location I would try agian well at least not with the same person. Waist of a hour and money

The front desk was very nice. My massage therapist came out and asked to come back she was very frail looking I don’t even know her name. I signed up for a 1 hour Swedish massage with firm pressure. She touched me like you put sun block on- there was no pressure at all. It was so bad I felt bad for her. She excused me after 40 minutes. I mentioned it to the front desk. I wondered if she was ill. I literally asked my husband did I smell bad when I got to the hotel room my massage was really bad. I love people and I hope she is okay.

Took my wife in for a couples massage to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful experience... the place is beautifully decorated and the staff was very friendly... we even had the chance to meet the owner who was very pleasant... as for the Massage, it was great and exactly what my wife and I needed...Gloria and Kristen were polite, professional, and above all were excellent at their craft... we will be back to this location and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great massage experience.

I have been here several times before. They always did a decent job but today was laughable. I told the masseuse, Maria, 3 times to please work the knots out of my neck and back. She wouldn’t. All she did was slap lotion on the areas; something I could’ve done myself. I felt like reminding her three times was enough but she wouldn’t do it. It was obvious she was not well trained in the art of massage, at least not for the $100 charge. It was not worth it and I’ll definitely not return.

I adore this location! The front desk staff is always helpful and courteous. The cleanliness and sense of relaxation was excellent. Most of all, I have to shout out Mike (Michael). Mike is a fantastic massage therapist that I make special trips for. I am from San Antonio, but any reason I find to come to Houston, I ensure I am on Mike's schedule during my visit. He's that good. I highly recommend Massage Heights, but I cannot speak highly enough of the Vanderbilt location.

This place is absolutely amazing. We were here for a small get away weekend from Louisiana. Porsche and Zeba gave us our couple massages and they were amazing. They asked if our pressure was ok each area they moved to. They hit all the great pressure points, leaving us completely relaxed! The front desk staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was just great!!! I would definitely recommend you give they a try!! They are absolutely worth it!!

I am very particular with where I get my facials done. I am so happy I discovered Dohomy at Massage Heights! This place did not disappoint! Dohomy was wonderful! She was very gentle on my face, focused on the things my face needed and very knowledgeable in the process while explaining every step and products used for my face. Afterwards, my face looked and felt amazing!! I will definitely be coming back to see Dohomy for my next facial!

I got a massage done from Ms. Gloria, which was very good. She explained that i was very tense and needed hot stones to relieve my tension. She also explained that my calf muscles was very tense and i needed more attention on them in order for them to not be sore the next day. She also explained that a face massage would help relieve pain in my cheek area. Gloria was perfect and i would recommend her to everyone!

Michael, my massage therapist, has taken a very personal interest in me & my goals for massage therapy. I have a chronic illness. Michael has educated himself about my condition & has tailored his massage treatment to my illness, resulting in improvement in my symptoms. Michael is always kind, warm & friendly, in addition to being a skilled massage therapist. Highly recommend.

I LOVE Massage Heights Vanderbilt location. The staff is always so kind and helpful. Most of all I absolutely LOVE my massage therapist, Linh, from the very first day. She knows exactly what to do according to your assessment and how to pinpoint your area of need. I leave so much relaxed and pain free each time. I wish I could have her every week. ❤️❤️. This is a great place!!

Good atmosphere. In general the massages are good, although there are some differences between the masseurs. Thus in the beginning I recommend to try different masseurs and then make your appointments with the one that you like more. (For example I personsally like Tsukasa). I can say that in Massage Heights take care of their clients, trying to make them feel comfortable.

I really enjoyed getting a massage by Ivy! She was so attentive to my needs and made sure that the pressure was to my liking for each area. She made sure the aromatherapy was constantly refreshed and kept in mind my new tattoo to avoid that area. I really enjoyed the massage and at no point was it too rough or ticklish. One of the best massages I’ve received here!

Google Maps led me inside Camden apartments but this is actually in the plaza next to Randall’s and Barnes and Noble. Pretty much can’t complain with the prices (first time offer and membership deals) being this affordable and booking so easy (they were able to schedule me for same-day). I had a wonderful massage experience with Nneka and will be back again soon!

Love my therapist here but the front office staff is rude and disrespectful. They don’t want to be bothered with any customer issues beyond getting you to just leave the establishment. However, the manager has handled a few issues I had well but it’s still not an enjoyable situation.

Sandon was great! I went in feeling tight and stiff. I left having increased mobility, no pain or tightness in my back and shoulders. I thoroughly had a great experience from the twilight ceiling to the 90 degree angle front facing massage. It was an excellent experience.

I eat ice cream at least once week and Amy’s is always a fan fave. Since the flavors change every week it’s always exciting to see what concoctions they come up with. If you like fun flavors and the creamiest ice cream. Go to Amy’s, it’s a Texas institution!

I have been seeing Josh for almost a year and really love coming back to him. He really makes sure that he understands your concerns and problem areas. He will spend time focusing on those areas and make you so relaxed! 10/10 recommend him! He is amazing!!
