A First-Class+++ experience! I moved from Yorkshire to Lancashire a week ago. The service from McCarthy's was so good, I could almost want to do it all over again. Almost..... I had done my own packing, apart from impossibles like a printer, and a cactus, so there were many, many boxes to schlep from house to car. The removers were prompt, courteous, efficient and helpful. They provided a spare dust sheet to help me move the old dog who's frightened of lino into the kitchen out of the way. They protected my flooring and front door at both sides of the move. They packed far more quickly than I'd expected. They provided a box for all the last minute bits that didn't go anywhere else. In that box I'd left a copy of my furniture plan for each room in the new property. They spotted the plan when they arrived ahead of me, and by the time I arrived, half the furniture was already in, and in its correct place. I was impressed by that, and by the fact that they stacked all the boxes a) in the correct rooms and b) in such a way as not to block access to the furniture and left plenty room to move safely round the rooms. As I say, it was such a positive experience I could almost wish to do it all again. I'm rather hoping I don't have to but, if I did, I would certainly go back to McCarthy's. I most heartily recommend them, and, in particular, Tony and Simon; and also Tony and Cherise in the office.

Moved a couple of weeks ago. I contacted McCarthys after being let down by another removal company with less than a week before moving date. Spoke to Tony who did a video walk round of my house to see how stuff I had. Nice chap and made it all very easy. He sent the quote through which i accepted and booked us in. Moving day, the van arrived early and the 3 lads started to clear the house. I was still packing stuff but they didn't mind and gave me some boxes to help finish off. They cleared the house in 2.5 hours. Put hanging clothes in the hanging boxes for me and generally made it very easy to clear a house I had lived in for 30 years. They were waiting for me when I finally turned up at the new house. This time it took just 2 hours to move everything in. Nothing was too much trouble, they happily moved some things that I had put in the wrong rooms and were extremely friendly throughout the move. All in all I was very happy using McCarthys and will definitely recommend them. The 3 lads Garreth, Shaun and Ben made a stressful time go smoothly and I cant thank them enough. We were 100% impressed with the Team from McCarthys when they moved us last week. From Tony who came to give us the initial quote as well as tips and reassurance of how we would be looked after, to the removal guys themselves - they were all thoroughly professional and helpful. All of our belongings were looked after so well and they packed for us in such an efficient way. I’d recommend using the packing service to anyone - it really took the stress out of the process, and they brought all the packing material’s with them. Clothes were moved on rails just to go straight back into wardrobes in our new house which was brilliant. Once at the new house the guys placed everything into the new rooms as directed and at the end of the process asked me to do one last check to see if anything needed relocated. We couldn’t have been happier with the service!! Absolutely outstanding experience, very happy I chose this company! I have just moved from Birmingham to Leeds and to say I had a somewhat fraught move weekend would be a HUGE understatement - but McCarthy's very much saved the day. Thanks to the incredible incompetence of the van rental company I was unable to make it to Leeds in time to check in at McCarthy's on the Saturday as planned. I contacted McCarthy's to advise I would not be moving in on the day I'd originally proposed. The very wonderful Sarah then offered to come in on the Sunday to check me in, so I could get my move back on track (I was on a very tight timeline). I cannot begin to express how much difference this made to the moving experience. Check-in was very efficient, professional and the site itself is excellent. I am impressed! When we moved out of our home we chose McCarthy's because they are local with an excellent reputation. We weren't disappointed. Everyone at McCarthy's have been fantastic. They offer a fair competitive price with a first class service. We moved out of our home and into storage whilst we look for our next home. The main removal team were hardworking, helpful and respectful of our belongings. Everything was handle expertly with care. At the storage unit (yes, McCarthy's Storage too) The team expertly packed our furniture into the unit. It was like watching three dimensional Tetris. Thank you to everyone at McCarthy's especially Gary C & Lee H. I have no hesitation in recommending both McCarthy's Removals and McCarthy's Storage World, Leeds. We will definitely be using them again for our next move.

We used this company before to move a family relative, so had previous experience. From start to finish the over video link survey of the house, to the quote, to being available at short notice when we moved was all accommodated and communicated well. The people on the ground that do the physical moving are clearly the ones that deserve recognition. They work efficiently and it is surprising how fast the truck loads and unloads (if you are prepared of course) but I suppose when you have been doing this for years its a breeze. The thing that attracted me to the company is everyone owns a little bit of the pie so all have a vested interest in playing their part. Many thanks to Simon and Tony the movers on bringing a little humour to what could be a stressful day.

The staff were always very pleasant, helpful and willing to make changes to accommodate my storage needs as soon as the appropriate unit size became available, since I was uncertain at the onset about the capacity of storage I required. The process of arranging my requirements and payments were done very efficiently and quickly so that even when I reduced the storage size I initially acquired, the changeover process was done guickly and payment adjustments made immediately so that I could enjoy the reduction in the cost as well. I can certainly recommend the facilities which were clean, well kept, well lit and in general I felt safe being there on my own when I delivered or retrieved things from my storage unit.

We used McCarthy's for our house move and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Great to deal with over the phone, and pleasant and very obliging in person. Their part of moving day went super smoothly, like a well-oiled machine. The house was cleared and our stuff safely in the lorry in no time at all. We suffered severe delays (the usual money transactions taking hours rather than minutes) but the lads were very understanding. Because of the delays, extra pairs of hands were drafted in to help with the offloading at the new house. No damage to either of the houses or our stuff. Whilst they're not the cheapest, neither are they the most expensive. Money well spent!

We obtained 3 quotes and although they weren't the cheapest the choice turned out to be a good one. Despite last minute unexpected issues with the exchange and completion dates they were able to adjust and provide extra staff to move us in one day. The men were good humoured and professional throughout and couldn't do enough for us. It would have been 5 stars, but in our view they need to make a simple overhaul of their administration systems to make sure there is absolute clarity in the booking and rescheduling processes. Regardless of this we would definitely recommend McCarthy's in terms of the end product, which was faultless and stress-free. Thank you!

We used McCarthy’s to move us out, store our possessions for about 5 weeks, and then move us into our new home. For both jobs the team that arrived were polite, considerate and willing to take advice and suggestions. They went the extra mile carrying our largest and heaviest items the furthest due to access issues and not a single item was broken or damaged. Their office was always generous with their time and advice and there was always someone able to answer the phone and provide guidance, prices and advice for booking. Highly recommend this company. Moved house with McCarthys a couple of months ago and they were absolutely fantastic. 100% recommend them to anyone needing removals or storage. We moved our things into their storage in Leeds then up to Scotland a few months later, and everyone at the company was fantastic at every stage. Communication was clear and everyone we dealt with was friendly and efficient. Took so much of the stress out of the whole experience. Special thanks to Lisa and John in the office who arranged everything and to Dave and Ben who had to trek all the way up to Scotland in the lorry!

I used McCarthy's storage for 2 years & 9 months. The service I'd resecived from the reception team was excellent. Sarah Normington who dealt with my accounts was fantastic, she was very friendly & understanding of each individual customer's needs and had shown immense empathy for my personal situations. She looked after my extention every 6 months with care & respect while i live abroad. I would highly recommended McCarthy's storage short or long term to anyone. Everything from the first contact to the last item moved to our new address was handled professionally and efficiently. Martin, Ben and Alfie were friendly, hardworking and quick to load all our things for storage on day one and similarly Gary, Gareth and Ross loaded and unloaded the remainder of our contents to our 2nd floor apartment on day two - I think they drew the short-straw - but they never stopped! Both teams took pains to protect the doors, bannisters etc from damage and handled our possessions with care. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I had experienced the great service when using their storage facility so had no hesitation using McCarthy's removals. Tony, who carried out the video survey was very helpful. The guys who carried out the actual packing, transportation, and unpacking were punctual, pleasant, and professional. I hadn't moved house for a very long time, so was naturally nervous about how the process would go. Thanks to Tony, Lisa in the office who handled my numerous questions, then Adam Taylor and Aiden Croft who did all the heavy work, everything went smoothly.

McCarthy's have been outstanding in all aspects of our move. From Tony who originally consulted with us from a safe distance through a video call to Cherise booking us in and get us set up for the big move to Tony and Simon on the move days making our life as stress free and painless as possible. I had used the storage services of McCarthys some years ago and found the service really good. When I required storage again late last year I visited the facility in Leeds to get prices etc. This visit coincided with Jodie Duffields first day on the job. She has been exceptionally professional, courteous and helpful on the many occasions I have had to visit the warehouse since then . I have no hesitation on recommending both Jodie and Sarah in helping anyone who requires a safe and secure storage facility at a sensible price.

We were moving our belongings into storage today, and the trio of guys from McCarthys, Jody, Fenton and Alex were fantastic. No dramas, no problems. Final piece of the jigsaw completed Monday 5th Sept. 2022, Simon and Tony delivered the remainder of our household goods. They worked very hard and managed the unload in less than 3hrs. From start to finish this went extremely well. The admin staff were extremely patient and helpful during my many phone calls to them, nothing was too much trouble. And on the day of the move? The guys who moved us (Dan and Dan) were awesome!! They worked so hard and were great with all our belongings. I don't know how they did it running up and down flights of stairs all day! Again, nothing was too much trouble. I was so pleased with how it all went. They were worth every penny.

We recently used McCarthy's to move our offices within Leeds, and the service has been excellent. The guys were efficient, friendly, on time and everything was moved across as we wanted. In particular, more than happy to go that extra bit with placing items around the new offices to help our own team out. I know there were more than 4 guys involved, especially on the weekend days, but a call out to Gary Collins, Dave Page, Jake Ward and Adam Taylor. Highly recommend McCarthys.

Using McCarthy's for a recent house move was the best decision we could have made- their care and communication was exactly what was needed at such stressful and unpredictable time. On the day, Gary and Gareth were an incredible team, both positive and professional throughout; nothing was too much trouble. The services from McCarthys were slightly more money than other quotes, but we can now totally see why and would pay it again in a heartbeat. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Fantastic customer service here. I was left high and dry by another company who made checking in difficult but McCarthys came to my rescue on the same day and I was able to get started with contract and insurance straight away without any hassle. I felt looked after and after a few stressful months McCarthys understood exactly why some people need storage at difficult times due to job changes or poorly relatives. I'm so grateful for their help here and know I'm in safe hands.

We recently used McCarthys storage to move from Leeds to the Wirral and I couldn't recommend them any higher to anyone. After fitting us in at such short notice they were fantastic from start to finish! The team of Jake, Dan and Dave emptied our old property in no time. Great experience - we moved at quite short notice and everyone we spoke too in the office were always so efficient and keen to do everything they could to help us get everything in place quickly. Simon and Tony, who did the actual move, were amazing. So careful with our stuff, and super helpful getting things set up in our new place. I couldn’t recommend them enough…I little more expensive than other quotes we received, but truly worth every penny!

When looking for a remover we obtained 4 quotes with McCarthy being the second most expensive. We told them this and the price was lowered a little. They were still second most expensive but the margin was small. We had been impressed with their representative and went with them. Proving that you get what you pay for they did an excellent job. Dan Ross and Tony worked really well and drank coffee for England. I would highly recommend McCarthys.

Fantastic experience with McCarthy’s !! Honestly could not rate them highly enough. We had a big move from Leeds to the North West with a newborn baby. They completely took the stress away. Adam Taylor, Ben Tordoff and Dan Ingham are top blokes. They moved everything with care and I can’t believe how quick they managed it! All our possessions we placed in the correct rooms, nothing damaged and everything was taken care of. Fantastic service!

McCarthy's helped us move house in October. They did an excellent job, despite us having endless boxes of stuff including breakables. Dave and Gary were particularly helpful. they were friendly, worked really hard and were considerate about our property and about us. We would definitely use them again (although we don't intend to move again in the near future!) and have already recommended them to friends who are want to move house soon.

McCarthys moved us over 3 days into a down sized home this week in Bramhope. Move planned and executed very well and professionally. Adam Taylor and Ben Tordoff saw the job through for us and worked like Trojans in very warm weather. Great pair of lads - attentive, cheerful and very personable throughout - nothing was too much trouble. Used McCarthys before personally and for business moves. Good local reputation well deserved.

Fantastic experience moving with McCarthy's last week. Polite, friendly guys who took great care of both the property we were leaving and the one we were moving to protecting doors and carpets throughout. All our belongings moved carefully and safely. Overall a good service. Their patience in arranging the move was great and they communicated very well throughout the whole process. Not entirely happy with some of the packing now I'm opening the boxes, but all in all pretty good. Simon, Adam and Michael were very efficient though I could have done without quite so many comments about how much stuff I have and how I could have better spent my time/money.

Highly recommend McCarthy's, they made my move incredibly efficient and reduced the inevitable stress of moving house. The whole team were friendly at every point in the process, even when I had to keep swapping potential moving dates. The movers took so much care with the contents of my house, and the same on the other end when moving in.

Gareth, Dan & Anthony did a great job for us. Courteous and careful they moved us on time and without mishap. They were expert in keeping things safe and dismantling then reconstructing beds and sofas. They went out of their way to help us with a couple of knotty problems and also managed to negotiate roadworks just outside our new home.

Absolutely fantastic service. For the first part of our move. Adam and Richard came and packed our whole house in two days to take it to storage. They took care whilst packing up. As our needs have changed, we've moved to different units within the building and its always been a really easy process. Sarah and the team at Leeds are friendly and super-helpful- I genuinely recommend!

Dane and Ross toiled nonstop to load all our possessions - including over 200 heavy boxes - then drove 180 miles to unload! They were enthusiastic, good-humoured, and very diligent. McCarthy's made a wonderful job of my move from the packing to the stacking of the van. The unloading was difficult due to lack of parking and distance as I am in an Apartment. The men took it in their stride and were cheerful, friendly and extremely professional.
