As someone with a morbid fear of the dentist, I couldn't recommend Catherine highly enough. She has the best bedside manner and understands how to deal with someone who is so nervous that she almost cuts a hole into the dental chair with her nails and sweats so much she nearly needs to bring a change of clothes!!!! Having attended Catherine for a couple of years at this stage, I am far less anxious about dental visits, something I am amazed at. I would never have predicted any easing of that particular anxiety. She and her team and extremely pleasant and very professional. The office itself is a spacious and comfortable place, located in a leafy area. She has performed root canals on me as well as a surgical extraction and a wisdom tooth extraction and crowns so I've had a fair bit done and I have no complaints. Another big plus is the way she encourages you to mind your teeth for those of us that could be doing better in that area (I drank too much Coke and it ruined my teeth) without berating you like a child as was the case with previous dentists. I would 100% recommend Merrion Road Dental to anyone.

Merrion Road Dental is an excellent dental practice. I needed new overnight retainers and after comparing prices at several dentists, MRD was the most reasonable by a long way. The dentist, Riona, performed my scan and made sure my new retainers fit properly when they arrived. The Vivera retainers are amazing. I barely notice I am wearing them, compared to my old ones which were so chunky and ill-fitting. Every member of staff that I met was so friendly and welcoming, both in person and over the phone. Following this experience, I hope to return to MRD for a general dental check. Thanks to everyone involved :)

I have had a fear of dentists since my childhood and have put off visiting for over 15 years. Am just back from a long-overdue examination and scale and polish by Dr Catherine Nestor and am so relieved to have found such an excellent, understanding and kind dentist at last! Both Dr Nestor and her lovely nurse, Roisin put me completely at ease, gave me a thorough examination and comprehensive advice and I am now determined to keep up with regular dental checks! As a very nervous patient with a terrible dental experience in the past I was avoiding dentists for years.. well, no more after a wonderful treatment received in the Merrion Road Dental! Dr Catherine Nestor, Andrea and Roisin are just unbelievable-very understanding, caring, professional and are always making sure that I feel comfortable, I could not ask for a better service! The treatment is on a very high level, totally painless and I know that I am in very good hands! Come and see for yourself, best decision a nervous patient like me can make!

I attended here for the first time recently and found Catherine fantastic,. She gave me an excellent, comprehensive examination and was extremely welcoming. I was nervous and she put me at ease immediatley. I have to get wisdom teeth removed and she referred me straight away. I was totally at ease with Catherine which is important to me being a nervous patient. I will be back with Catherine for a clean and polish and I am delighted to have finally found a dentist that I will be returning to.

Changed over to this practice and I cannot recommend them enough! I am highly anxious and had to come in for some fillings and a cleaning. I honestly didn't feel one thing, not the injections (my first ever as well!) nor the fillings! Dr Morris and the lovely nurse were making sure I was comfortable every step of the way and looked well after me. I am delighted to have made such a pleasant experience and look forward come back! Catherine was fantastic. I’m generally very nervous going to the dentist and become very anxious just before a procedure but Catherine really made me feel at ease from the get go and was very patient, something that I find other dentists lack! I had to have a large filling replaced and she was very quick and efficient, I felt like I was in and out in no time and questioned why I was so nervous in the first place! I will definitely return. Fantastic dentistry. Have had most of my dental needs done here and when they were previously in Blackrock clinic and every time it's been straight forward. I hope I don't need anything major done in the near or distant future but if I do I know I'll be in very professional safe hands. Even their booking process is handled excellently by their staff regardless of if it's online or over the phone. Cannot recommend them enough.

Planned with them to get a clean for 80 euro, which was fine, but then when I left they told me it was 145 euro, with a "consultation fee". In addition, the receipt they gave me has lots of mistakes which makes it difficult for me to arrange with my insurance provider. So it seems they are a bit unprofessional in how they arrange fees and services.

I would highly recommend Merion Road Dental to everyone! I had to go for crowns and so I was really nervous and anxious going in and they took amazing care of me!! The staff are brilliant! Very professional, reassuring, caring and comforting! I couldn't fault them in any way. Just amazing! 5 stars service

Riona got me out of trouble (above and beyond) many years ago and I have stayed with her ever since. An excellent dentist and a very pleasant, professional practice to visit. All the staff I've met there have been excellent.
