In my experience I will go to this salon for color and hair cut with Michael and will save in styling and other services to go elsewhere. The overall experience does not match the price of the service. Hair cut and color were really good. Styling and waxing were not. The space is too crowded that I was moving between chairs and multiple people worked on my hair to optimize their time. Not all of them were trained to the same level. I paid more than 400dls and my hair didn't reflect that when I left. I have gone to blow bars where girls are better trained and for under 100 dls my hair style looks perfect. Eyebrow waxing was horrible experience. The girl just stripped all my eyebrows and left them really thin to match whatever she thought looks good on her instead of actually mapping it with the symmetry of my face. There is not actual space dedicated to waxing, it was done in a improvised corner with people walking around and multiple blow-dries going on. So my eyebrows were super thin and uneven. Worse eyebrows work ever. Michael is really good with color and hair cuts. He is too busy with multiple clients. The rest of the staff is not at his same skill level. Some of them maybe but the girl that did my eyebrows and styled my hair wasn't.

I was able to book a last minute appointment with Jay for a haircut and dye and I think I've found my longterm stylist, y'all. I have been box dying my hair for 7 years and also am dealing with postpartum hair as well. We were able to have an honest conversation about where I've been with my hair, what we can do with it currently with the condition it's in, and how to get to where I want to go. I ended up deciding to chop more off than I planned on my own - ZERO pressure from Jay, after our conversation I decided that this would allow me a better jumpstart to where I want to be. Jay was super informative, answered every question, made sure I was comfortable with the changes he was making every step of the way. I also appreciated that he reviewed all costs upfront to make sure it was financially feasible for me. He spent about 3 hours on my hair and I feel like a whole new person! I highly highly recommend booking with Jay (he did say he's normally at the Greenway location), I will be back to him in the future.

Got 3 inches chopped off after saying I didn’t want any length taken off - in fact I had scheduled a split end mender not a trim - but the woman did not understand English and cut away. I asked what she was doing and she promised only a little was being cut…nope. She was nice but that doesn’t excuse the fact that she took off three years of hard work to grow my hair. The owner or manager who had been helping translate left before my appointment was done because it was close to closing. Also they completely did the highlight platinum and far too light. I’m usually more of a strawberry blonde with highlights throughout. I’m platinum white now and have to purchase new extensions because the color is so different AND I need them because I lost all my length. As someone new to the area I was hoping to find my new hair place, but likely need to go somewhere else. Also, the appointment total I booked was $175, the end total was $330 and I didn’t get a receipt or explained why the price difference.

Haircut/color - Michael is the master at understanding my thick, course, wavy, frizzy, Latin ethnic hair. Best haircuts of my life have been by Michael. He's extremely talented and I trust his eye for style/color coordination to flatter my face. Face wax - Olivia is super sweet, professional and knowledgeable. She takes her time and ensures that I'm completely happy with my service. Will definitely be coming back to her for wax and facials. Blowouts - you want the best blowout of your life, Micheal's staff will deliver - no doubt. Front Desk - Reyna is always so sweet and helpful. She knows how to treat customers and make you feel welcome. This salon is about an hour from my house (I hate traveling) but it's totally worth the effort to come out here. Excellent service from top to bottom. The online appointment scheduling system is life! If you want your money's worth for top quality service, this is where it's at.

Over priced for what I ended with. Paid over $400 for uneven layers, overly thinned hair, and 2 different colors on my upper layers and lower ends. I did not realize how bad it was until I had to repair the damage done that took me months to grow out to a point where I could redye it bc of how damaged it was. The amount of time and money spent after bc I had to figure ways to style it and put so many products and hair masks on it was not worth the $400 I paid. It was a pain to fix the uneven layering and overly thinned hair, it has not yet grown out evenly til this day. The person who styled my hair was the owner and 2 assistants. They even ruined my top I had on and didn’t tell me about it. I heard them whisper that is why you don’t take the robe off but I didn’t find out until I got home. I should of received some discount or not been charged so much if they knew they hadn’t done a good job.

For all my curly hair people please do yourself a favor and come down to this salon! Not only has this been the best experience I've had with a salon. Everyone was super nice, and my hair has been looking so GOOD. For reference, before I came to get my haircut, I was struggling with maintaining frizz, and my hair was starting to get very loose (especially at the top). I went to Michael because of all the good reviews I saw, and it was totally worth it. My hair went from looking all dried out, frizzy, to voluminous, and well defined! He gave me really good advice on how to do my hair, and was able to maintain my length as well. He was super nice and made sure I was comfortable. Anyway I'm sooo happy to get my curls back and I'll come back here again! (p.s get a deep conditioning treatment too, my hair really loved it)

I was referred to Michael from my good friend who completely puts her trust in him and actually says he is a “Master at what he does”. I was having a hair “crisis,” if you will… as I was just dyed by another salon yesterday and it was really not what I asked for, and I just couldn’t live with it. Michael was gracious enough to take me in so last minute and talk me through everything. He was extremely clear on the possible outcomes and costs. I really appreciated his honest input and advice, and I came out of the salon almost crying happy tears when I woke up this morning crying tears of hatred. I am so incredibly grateful for his time and effort and 100% recommend him and his salon to anyone who’s looking for a hair stylist they can TRUST. Thank you Michael + salon!!

I went in feeling so nervous as I had gone to another salon and they chopped half of my hair off! But Michael and his staff were so patient, answered my 1000+ questions about hair color and curly hair care, and really relieved my anxiety when it came to trimming and coloring . It was my very first time coloring hair and Michael made sure it was super subtle partial highlights like I wanted so that I can come back and add more if I'd like. He also educated me on styling curls properly and what products I can use to enhance my hair. His entire team stayed until 7:38 for me even though they close at 7:00 and he was so kind! I cannot thank them enough, I am beyond satisfied with my hair! I will definitely return here and I'm definitely telling friends and family.

I am a new client here & my first experience was absolutely amazing. You can tell the staff deeply care about their work and taking care of the client. Michael is a true artist. He cut my hair like it was absolutely nothing to it. And it came out so beautiful. I have curly hair and am pretty used to sitting down with the stylist to describe exactly what I’m looking to achieve. With Michael, it was like he read my mind. Great salon!! My fiance and I have been going here for almost two years and we both love it! Michael is amazing, and I started seeing Natalia who I booked to cut off 11 inches for a new short hair style - she did a fantastic job cutting my hair exactly how I wanted it and I love it! I also ventured out to dye my hair lighter for the first time, and after it didn't come out looking like I expected and I gave it a day to see if it would grow on me but didn't, I called the next day and they made time to fit me in, got me all fixed up, and refunded me for the everything! Such great customer service and care!! I won't go anywhere else!!

It happened twice that I made a reservation and the hairdresser didn’t show up. The first time I have to call another one of their locations so they got a hold of him and he came to the salon and actually opened. Second time, I even called the day before to confirm the appointment, once I got there 10 minutes before the appointment I asked the very kind employee if she could confirm that the hairdresser will be on time and she called him and she confirmed that the hairdresser was not going to be able to come.

I had a 5 star experience here. My hair is about 2 feet long and I decided to go blonde. I asked about pricing as I know it can be more for hair as long as mine. They were very clear about pricing. I showed several pics of what I like and didn't like. And based off that Natallia did an amazing job. I plan to go more blonde next time but prefer to take a few sessions to get to the level of blonde I want in hopes of preserving the health of my hair as much as possible. 1 pic shows my natural brown hair color. My daughter wanted to have layers in her long hair. She showed the picture of the hair style to Michael and asked if it would look good on her. He said yes and cut her hair exactly the way that she wanted. After Michaele cut her hair , Vitoria blew dry and styled her hair and shared some tips about how to take care of her hair at home. Both Michael and Vitoria were cordial, experienced and professional. My daughter was extremely happy about her hair cut.

My ideal place for a haircut in Houston. Everyone there is talented and detail-oriented; I've never walked away feeling unhappy with my haircut. Shampoo and hot towel (with a really pleasant essential oil scalp/temple massage) is included. Although my favorite is Kat (who is great to talk to and absolutely meticulous with her cuts), I've had great cuts by most of the stylists there over the past several years. Highly recommend.

The service was great. Parking was very limited. My only issue is that the stylist (Michael) thinned out my hair with the thinning scissors, didn't ask me simply did it by the time I realized what he was doing it was too late.

Great service - on time and asked me multiple times if the length was okay, if I wanted more layers, and if the face framing was short enough. I was very pleased with the cut I got from Katiana. I’ll definitely be going back.
