I'm very disappointed with the service I received at this location. I spent $1400 for new struts and shocks for my vehicle and within a few weeks my ABS light came on. Sure enough my ABS sensor had been damaged when my struts were replaced on one wheel and a few bolts are missing on another wheel. I don't take mechanical issues lately because they could result in a life or death situation. I understand people make mistakes but brakes are no joke and a problem of this magnitude should not have occurred. Furthermore, when I spoke with the manager I asked him to replace it with a dealership part since that's what they broke. He straight up told me he wasn't going to replace it with a $200 part when he could replace it with a $50 part. Its your fault the $200 part broke, not mine, so it should be replaced with the same $200 part. In addition, the mechanic that originally worked on my vehicle was in the shop and the manager was yelling at him for messing up another car. I could clearly hear him calling the mechanic an idiot and saying he was stupid while waiting in the customer area. It was very unprofessional of the manager and now I do not feel safe driving my vehicle. Who knows what else the mechanic could have messed up on my car and it's obviously not the first time he has messed up. The only thing that made my less than ideal situation any better was Steve. Steve was the mechanic that fixed my vehicle. He personally came up to me and apologized. He did not try to make excuses and he owned up for the mistake made by the other mechanic that previously worked on my vehicle. I appreciated him taking the time to speak with me about the issues with my vehicle and apologizing on the behalf of his fellow coworkers. This guy needs a raise.

What did I like about it. NOTHING. The experience was good although expensive until the end. When I went to pick my truck up I was told my battery was so dead they couldn't start my truck and couldn't get my truck to start. Well the manager tells me that maybe there's something we can do to get you out of here Well all this seemed strange because I can leave my door open with other devices plugged in ,also my battery wasn't even a year old. I figured well they sell batteries so I bet they're just trying to get me to get one. Well when I got home with my truck I noticed my truck was dragging which it hadn't been doing. The next day I went out to start my truck and the battery was completely dead. I popped my hood and the battery that was in my truck wasn't mine it was another battery entirely I immediately called and told them what happened and he said he told me he had done this which he hadn't because who would trade a good battery for a dead battery especially when you have the receipt and can take yours back. Well they gave me my battery back but in the process I noticed the manager seemed more angry to give me my battery back than I was about it which I am still befuddled about I wish I could know why they did this but the only conclusion unfortunately I can reach is they were going to take my battery for there personal use no other explanation. My truck needs another 750 dollars in repairs I was going to get done there but after this I will have to take my business elsewhere.

I used to have a high opinion of this location but that is no longer the case. I brought my car to them with a problem and had them diagnosis. After they charged me over $600 to do a tune-up kit, which consisted of changing out the spark plugs and the ignition coil, that didn't resolve the issue. They continue to diagnose the problem and concluded that it was a fuel injector problem. They wrote up an estimate that was in excess of $800.00 to replace all four fuel injectors. After thinking about that I took it to another repair facility. They diagnosed the problem and found that one of the spark plugs that had been replaced was cracked during the replacement procedure which was done by Midas. The other repair facility resolved my problem for just over $80 and that amount included the diagnostic fee. Can you believe that Midas wanted to charge me over $800 to replace parts that weren't even the problem? And on top of that, the problem was because they cracked a spark plug when they were the ones who replaced them in the first place and failed to diagnose the problem that they caused! I requested restitution from them and all they offered was to give me a free oil change and tire rotation the next time I needed it! Did they really consider that restitution after overcharging me to do a tune-up kit, not do the job correctly, cause me to go somewhere else to get their problem fixed for less than $100?? I DON’T THINK SO!!!! They have definitely lost me as a customer!!

Everyone knows when you are having car trouble that gut wrenching feeling of not again or what is this going to cost and how and when can we fit this into your budget. The panic and hysteria and worry sets in and you just feel Like your going to lose your mind.... every single time I have came to this place, the people that work there have listened and helped find an answer to my problems. I truly can not express how thankful I am for this place and the people that work there! The location on sunbeam rd in Jacksonville. 3months ago: Rebecca was absolutely amazing! The whole team was really! I recommend 10/10! Thank yall so much for being honest/trustworthy business!

I took my car into this place to see if they could remove a nail from my back tire. They told me it could not be patched and that I would need a new tire. I went ahead and had them change my front tires, too. When I picked up my car, they had changed the wrong back tire, leaving me with the tire that had the nail! They would not give me a discount on the now 4th tire, but gave me a “free” oil change. It just so happened that my oil light came on a few days after that so I took it in and waited 2 hours only to drive away with the oil light still on. I got home, because I no longer trusted them to go back, and checked the oil. NO OIL!! What was on the stick was black. I took it in to Jiffy Lube, my go-to place, and sure enough, NO OIL!! These guys made me wait 2 hours and lied to my face. I will NEVER give these guys my business again and will tell everyone of my experience.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Brought a German car there because they are partners with a third party warranty company I go through and had a diagnostic done on the whole car before changing a clutch. First of all they resurfaced a dual mass flywheel which should never be resurfaced and when confronted about it the shop manager told me “he’s been doing this for 40 years and knows cars like the back of his hand.” Brought it to the dealer not even 300 miles later because of weird noises and feelings and they found one of my axles not even properly torqued down, and clips missing from my shifter cables. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT trust these people with your vehicles. I hope somebody see’s this post and decides to take their business elsewhere because this is a dangerous business to be in if you have no idea what you are doing.

My husband has been attending this auto shop prior to my recent experiences. I don't look forward to waiting for my car to be serviced (I guess, who does? Lol) but this location has been nothing short of fantastic. Andrew is professional and personable. The mechanics are prompt and very pleasant. I came on a day it was pouring rain as a walk in and I had my 5yo and 6mo...hauling around his carseat. It was busy and not only did they get done with my oil change fast as lightening, they also went out of their way to park the car in the maitenance garage closest to the door where we wouldn't get wet. It was so chivalrous and caring. I've been here 3 times in the past 3 months and I feel like I'm leaving my vehicle with friends. Thank you so much Midas! We look forward to being long time customers.

Cashiers/front desk associates were all over the place. They were fast talking people just coming off like some con artist honestly. I purchased a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change which was $50.00 (5 quarts and a standard filter). The original price was 79.99. I was aware if I needed more oil of course they would charge extra but I only needed one more quart which was 8.99. I ended up having to pay 26.90 extra which was basically just like walking in and paying the same price. The female cashier was nice but very dingy. They didn’t even realize my car was done I sat there for about 10 mins after my car was done before going to the counter. The whole experience was not good at all to me. I wouldn’t recommend at all you’re honestly better off going to the dealership.

Never ever again Worst oil change ever My wife took it here for a 60.00 (discounted price ) She stoped by the house for about an hour then left again. When I showed up to the house a few hours later I noticed a oil spot on the driveway.a few hours later she got home again.I went to look if and where it was leaking , only to find another puddle of oil in my driveway. After further inspection found drain plug 1/2 way in and cross threaded. Checked oil to find none in the car. I fixed it took several photos and videos. Took it back to Midas they refused to do anything about it no refunds no fix the problem . This oil change costed us over 160.00 (between them ,dealership and putting oil back In it to get to the dealership) Don’t ever use Midas worst ever

This place has been awful. I've lived nearby for three years now and have come to this place a few times over the course of my lease. The technicians have left the drain plug so loose I could hand tighten the bolt. They've checked off that they my cabin air filter was cleaned multiple times in a row and when checked the filter was clearly not clean enough for use. They used a torque wrench on a plastic cabin air filter box and destroyed it, resulting in me having to purchase my own. They've flat out hung up on my roommate when he called and with people in the background heard laughing about hanging up on customers. This place will not take care of your vehicle and has proven to only do the minimum amount of work to get the vehicle off the lot.

Came in for a “quick” oil change but was waiting longer than told and needed to be at work. So I called back after work where they said to come right over because they “saved” my filter for me. I drove back from st augustine waited. Then was told 20 min later they could not do it because my car doesn’t have a dipstick. The 40 mins I waited that morning they didn’t know that? Also there were an insane amount of nails and screws all through the drive way area. I alerted the front desk where they told me they “spray those off at the end of the day”? What?!? I just drove over them and so is every other car!!! So now a day later I still need an oil change and will have my tires checked for nails. I should have not even tried the second time.

Worse decision I ever made. The manager Brock wasn't helpful at all. I signed up for Kolifia but he didn't explain to me how Kolifia is a fraudulent company and charge you crazy amount for interest. Im still waiting for a refund. When I called to cancel the lease with Kolifia, they told me that the store manager Brock wouldn't approve it. I told then I would come into the store and pay what I owed them for my tires. Worse company ever! Brock didn't even explain anything or how Kolifia charges you a fee just to start the application or how they charge you interest..... STAY FROM AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING ANOTHER DOLLAR OFF OF YOU. I ALREADY REPORTED THEM THE BB....

I came to this Midas because a coworker recommended me. Let me tell you—what an EXCELLENT recommendation. I’m thankful I came here for an oil change. They looked at my car and did the oil change. Their top priority is safety and cost effectiveness. Brock was such a blessing! He is so personable. He pulled me aside to let me know what they found during their thorough inspection. When I wasn’t able to afford all of the repairs (that could have been potentially deadly), he helped me sign up for an easy pay option so that I can worry about my safety and pay it off over time. I highly recommend this company 10,000%. Not only this company but this exact location. Ask for Brock. He’s awesome.

The worst service I’ve ever received. 6 employees stood around talking for 30mins until I started watching them then they decided to whisper and look at me before starting on my oil change. I was already upset because my mom is in the ICU and I come here to get an oil change so my car doesn’t go out on me while I’m constantly driving back and forth to the hospital and this is the kind of service I get. They all had nasty attitudes, rolling their eyes, acting as if I was a huge inconvenience to them. Will NEVER return to Midas especially not this location. I get way better service at Jiffy Lube or Valvoline and at a lower price! Only went here because it was close to the hospital.

I am at a loss for words. I took my car in for brakes on a Thursday morning. Brake job cost me $950. Picked up car Thursday night. Friday my brake light came on and the brakes were smoking like crazy. Took car back Saturday morning. A faulty wheel cylinder was installed so they had to replace it. Picked up car Saturday night. Sunday brakes were grinding worse than when I originally took it in. Took car back in and they kept it another day because apparently at a brake place, only one mechanic could work on my car and he wasn't at the store I was. So, the next evening I get my car. 4 days without my car. 2 missed days of work. So far, now my brakes are better. Bad experience....

Saved 600 $ by walking 50 feet to O’reilly Auto parts. They are just trying to make people spend their money at this place, they told me that they were gonna help me create an account with Midas but did not tell me that it includes applying for a credit card. When I asked started acting smart and trying to be rude. They gave 1250$ estimation for a battery and starter which I was able to fix 550 with insurance. I never recommend or suggest this place at all. Please fix this place with some good working staff. They even did not put creamer or sugar and making fun when someone tries to get a coffee. Don’t go by the tragic fake reviews which they make people give to get discount.

I was having issues with my jeep breaking down and tried calling around on a Saturday, of all days. I was told if I could get in before a certain time, they would do their best to squeeze me in. I got my jeep towed and made it in time!! They checked it over and determined that it was both my alternator AND my battery!! Offered to give me a ride home (I already had a friend coming to pick me up), and explained everything in detail to me!! I didn’t catch their names, but they made me feel at ease and took amazing care of myself and my jeep!! They even stayed past closing to make sure the job was done right!! I will always use Midas, specifically the location on Sunbeam

Steer clear of Midas on Sunbeam. I went in for an oil change and left with a major oil leak. If the leak hadn’t been caught, I could have had a blown engine. They cross threaded the drain plug. The worst part is, they still haven’t refunded me for the “full synthetic oil change”. I’ve talked to 3 different people who are rude and give the run around. This place is a scam, I felt it from the moment I walked into that store. I will for sure go right my gut next home. DO NOT go there for anything. My next step is filing a complaint with the BBB. I wound up having to go to the dealership to get my oil changed, so now I’m out a total of $140.

I called the store on Monday and spoke with an associate about scheduling an oil change. She told me what my cost would be for everything out the door plus tax. When I arrived today, I was informed that person was no longer at the store, and the information she gave me was incorrect. That mistake cost me an additional $30. In addition, the quoted 30 minute time to complete the oil change turned out to be over an hour; and when I got in my car, grease stains were on my seats, arm rests, carpet and door. The person at the desk was very friendly, but these types of issues definitely don’t make me leave feeling like I should go back.

I had to drop off my car to get the ac compressor replaced and get some new tires. Steve took his time with me to make sure I had found the best tires for the best price. When Steve found out that the AC compressor was going to take longer than anticipated he called me immediately to let me know. He even offered to pay for my lyft so that I could get to/from work the next day (which he delivered on). My Lyft ran late and I wasn’t able to get to the shop until half an hour after they closed. Jim and Garrett happily stayed behind to make sure I would be able to pick up my vehicle. I will be doing more business with this Midas

I’m not the type to leave reviews however, the service was excellent top-tier. Andrew was the one who serviced me super nice easy to talk to explain everything to my liking far as dumbing it down for me . He was just totally honest and I appreciate that. It’s rare that you find genuine people nowadays . Everyone is either trying to rip you off or just take advantage of you . I would definitely recommend going to MIDAS if you are having car issues. My Cadillac needed a new starter and I was in a hurry to get it done. The first place I called was Midas and spoke to a guy by the name of Andrew. He seemed to be extremely knowledgeable about my car and explained that he will have the repair done quickly and quoted me a very fair price. I didn't call anyone else because I trusted Andrew from the start. A few hours later my car was back in action and I have the Team at Midas to thank. Do yourself a favor and visit these guys for any and all car repairs as they won't disappoint.

Been a Firestone girl for years. Long story short, Steve and his crew found things that they didn't with their free inspection. They even stayed late 2 days in a row trying to get me rolling. And they will drop you off AND pick you up. Feel like I have a brand new car. Steve is the best...really good guy. He went through my laundry list if car issues and told me what could wait and what couldn't. The man knows his stuff. Plus they have a same as cash finance free option if you have a lot to do like I did. Glad I found them.

A co-worker referred me to Midas because of the good work they did for her. I've normally gone to the same shop but my brakes and rotors were in dire need of replacement so I called Midas and got a quote. I then went over to their shop which happens to be very close to my work another bonus.Tony and his crew are great and straightforward not pushy and wanting you to spend more than you need on things that are not of immediate importance. also having the ability to get a Midas card to do payments was a great option for me

I went walk in and Brock is awesome to help me out and explained about the parts I brought it was wrong parts. He called Auto Zone for me and I went to auto zone and get my money refunded then came back. Brock called parts company to get some parts for my car and their parts cost cheaper than AutoZone. The man who fixed brake pads, rotors, drum, shoe, and caliper for my car . He’s awesome too!!!! Brock gave me a good price to fix my car! Thank to Brock! I’ll definitely come back next time! I recommend y’all go there!

Yeah no, I will not darken the door of this place ever again. They treated me very well a few years ago when I brought my last car in for brake services, but today they tried to quote and do way too much and while trying to sell all kinds of things we didn't need, totally missed something important in their $50 "inspection" that the second opinion shop totally caught. So while trying to sell things I didn't need they missed something that I needed. That last part is the most offensive to me, and inexcusable.

I used to take my car here quite a bit and they were top notch. I went today for an oil change. I also had a headlight out and bought the bulb but just needed someone to put it in. In the past they have done it no charge but this time wanted 11 dollars just to put the bulb in, something that would take a pro maybe 30 seconds. They also didn't check my brakes, which they have done in the past. They were still nice, but not the top notch service that has keep me coming back. You can do much better.

After another mechanic purposely destroyed my vehicle, I came to Midas where Andrew and Rebecca, along with their mechanics, gave my vehicle a complete inspection, along with telling me the outcome of damages, they also showed me the issues. Everyone was professional, sympathetic, and kind. I was given a printout and explained to me the order of urgency on needed repairs. After being left jaded from last mechanic I trusted, I feel confident they will take care of me.

Ran into some car trouble the other day and Midas was the closest location. My car stalled out and I had to get it towed in order for it to be looked at. (Thanks Geico roadside assistance) Several hours later, Robert was able to get my car back up and running in less than 6 hours when I was expecting it to be a couple of days. I'm incredibly impressed and thankful for the hard work put in. I'm voting for them for president.

The manager has tried to intimidate myself saying that “he’s not an asshole” just because I asked my money back. I asked my money back because they, unbelievably, made me change my shocks to fix my brake. Long story short, I spent $1,500.00 ( $950,00 only for the shocks) and the brakes was worse than when I brought the car. A real mechanic fixed it for $150,00 I would yell to everyone, don’t go to Midas at Sumbeam road!

Extremely disappointed at the fact that this store can’t take care of cars on their own lot. Vehicle was stolen right off the lot of Midas and this store is no help to trying to figure out what happened with the car. You own a business and can’t even look after the cars staying on the property. How am I supposed to feel secure leaving my car here if I know it might not be there the next day. Completely unacceptable.

Fast service, they fit us in. The lady who helped us was really nice. But the company is sneaky. They charge labor obviously but also shop fees and “other fees” by sales tax but don’t specify what other fees are. So $80 package and $20 off, we still paid $80. My husbands a diesel mechanic and even he thinks it was a little off but… anyways, be prepared to pay more than you expect. Good service though

Got an oil change and the staff Rebecca and Brock were very professional and prompt! However I went thru Groupon and thought I was getting a deal but then ended up paying what I normally pay for an oil change. The Groupon was for 50.00 then they charge you and additional fee when you get there. I did not realize this until hours later…. So in conclusion you’re not really getting any kind of deal

I moved to Jacksonville in October and the people at Midas have been blessings. They do my oil change and helped me with tire issues. I have a bent rim and Steve went out of his way to help me locate an affordable tire and is picking it up and replacing it for me. Wife and I were moving out of country (Mexico) in a few days (driving serviced vehicle) and check engine light came on. Called for an appointment and got in the same day within an hour. Fantastic receptionist. They need to order a part, came in next day. Took vehicle back and fixed in an hour. Best customer service experience in a long time. Great group of people. Thank you.

Greats customer service. Quick attention to the customer. Loren is a manager and he is very knowledgeable and considerate. My BMW was stalling, 10 minutes later they diagnosed with a vacuum leak and ordered parts. The prices seem reasonable after shopping around. The technicians were very knowledgeable and showed me the issue before ordering parts. Would recommend to anyone.

the WORST service i've ever received in my life. not only is the tire they sold me completely trashed, but it was at risk of blowing and messing up my whole car ! do yourselves a favor and save your money and protect yourself from fraudulent service. put your hard earned money toward a franchise and company that actually believes in customer service.

This place is great! Andrew is awesome- very helpful and got my vehicle in and out quickly. Also cleaned all the oil up that was sprayed all over my engine, which resulted from the last place I got my oil changed (Take 5 on San Jose/Baymeadows Rd) when they failed to put my oil cap back on!!!!!!!! This place serviced our air condition needs at the end of the day without complaining and was truthful and honest about the problems we were having and more so the remedy necessary to fix our air conditioner. Fast! But doesn’t use floor covers when getting into vehicles. I JUST vacuumed my car and when I picked up my vehicle from an oil change my driver floor seats were black with dirt. Very disappointing & won’t be going back to this location.
