It's one of the very few Liquor Stores that remain in our predominantly 'Black neighborhoods!! It's owned by another person of color, an Hispanic Individual, who has always taken pride in his ownership of this store! Over the years, the store has always been, well main- tained, inside and outside and the proprietor has always employed people of color!! Although, I've always been just a social drinker, I'd rarely purshase alcohol at the store, but it sells many other reasonably priced, non alcohol items. However, my main attraction to the store is it's 'IL Lottery Counter'! I would often purchase Lottery Tickets there, moreso for my dad before his demise. 'Midway Liquor Store' is a 'Neighborhood Landmark' that I'm 'Truly Grateful' still exists!!

Hello my name is James Demus. I'm a regular customer at the Liquor store at 55th and state. I typically spend about 500 dollars a week on the lottery. Today is a very sad day for me because I came in the store tonight to play my numbers. I wrote them all down on plane English. One of my numbers were 509 which I played two dollars straight and fifty fifty. The ladies played only fifty fifty. So now I'm put off a thousand dollars because of her mistake. What do you think about this. And what should I do.

This place is like a VIP club downtown Chicago every single cashier there is most definitely the whole they are so friendly they are the fastest liquor store I have ever seen in my and you can really make good friends if it wasn't for me being open when they do close on that do. I will pick this store over any liquor and the world!!!!AND PLUS THERES NEVER ANY VIOLENCE ANY TIME THERE!!! THANKS MIDWAY

So big, but so organized, easy to find what you're looking for, and the staff is perfect. Owner treats employees well because they seem to enjoy their jobs. Very very polite and always smiling. It has become my favorite place. Keep up the good work. Great location. The owners Tequila Cinco Blancos is definitely something everyone should try.

I was just overcharge Over $6.00 for my purchase Tried to call the store Several times no one answered the phone. Just spent $99.82 I bought a fifth of Hennessy $36 w/ tax a fifth of Remy $42 w/ tax (3) 4 pack of Heineken 16oz.$4.99 each I hope a manager reach out to me! [email protected]

This place has been around for so many years. Ike is like family, everyone knows and love them. Prices are good service is great. Some solicitors, parking is not good

Rough area/location but, friendly service and the selection of the packaged good is ok. They always have what I'm looking for and at a fair price.

Avoid this place if you can. It is a magnet for crime. A few people have gotten shot and died around the store recently.

This is my store I was raised at this store the prices are reasonable on the premium brands(remy,1738,Don Julio, etc..)

The prices aren't bad but they need better parking and they need a way to stop panhandling from in front of the doors

Basic groceries lottery machine beer wine champagne soft drinks and beverages I highly recommend this Midway liquors

clean, fast service and almost fully stocked. I used their ATM machine where they only charge a $1.00.

I look for the lowest prices when I shopped this by far is one of the places with a deal on Hennessy!

Midway Liquors have nice prices I don't mind coming back there I go there every time I go to Chicago
