Always good to check inventory via phone for me. Large selection. I don't visit as much as others in the area simply due to parking and the new arrivals are in a rack that my back won't hold out to try to go through (better for younger people or older thin people with good backs). Probably the largest inventory in the area.

Great new and used selection. One of my top 3 record stores in the entire midwest. Friendly staff, very record-centric store, some bins a bit too crammed makes browsing difficult, but this store is a must-visit in kc for vinyl lovers. Prices are fair. Parking very close is usually possible. Support this amazing business!

We stopped in here in the way back home to Milwaukee. The selection was amazing and the worker was incredibly kind and helpful. If we pass through Kansas City again, we’ll be sure to stop in again (though I think if we’re ever driving through the area in general, we’ll probably go out of our way to stop in).

The atmosphere, the vibe, the setup is simply perfect. This record store was the only one that had a record we couldn't find anywhere else. They had plenty of copies, too. We called ahead of time and they held it for us until we got there to pick it up.

Wonderful selection of the best records and books. Great staff, very helpful. Pleasant and took the time to give great recommendations on other things to do in KC. Even when I was undercharged for a book, they said not to worry about it. Top notch!

Drove 30 minutes to buy a $45.00 record with my very small children. My 4 yr old had to use the bathroom and they absolutely REFUSED to be kind enough to let her borrow their bathroom, even though I had just given them my business. So thoughtless

There aren't enough characters to explain how amazing this place is. The vinyl, the impeccable customer service, and especially the in-store events - there is something for everyone. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted, they ask if

Such a cool store. The music they have playing is always interesting. And their selection is outstanding—I always find something good in the bargain bin. The vinyl is organized really well into genres, price points, and new releases. I hope

Mills is my favorite record store in the Kansas City area!! Their record selection is unparalleled, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Unlike other record stores I’ve visited in the area, they aren’t extremely pretentious about

I finally made it down to Mills I’ve been trying for months. I was running errands so I swung by and didn’t get there till 7pm. They closed at 8pm and the staff the dude in the Blues Jersey was cool. It’s the bet record store in KC. I kept

Maybe it's just me, but it wasn't a great experience. I do quite a lot of record buying/selling and these prices seemed quite high to me. They do have an excellent selection of new records. There are tons of used records but seemed fairly

Most of the employees (especially the owner of the place) look at me like I'm a wild animal in there. Not friendly at all, it's like they'd rather take a bullet than deal with me. The vibe is way off, not comfortable at all. Would rather

This is not the store to shop at. You will never see more than 5 people inside during the regular work week. It is only during events like Record Store Days where people line up and that is only because they are able to get the largest

The store is clean and well organized. Every record I have purchased here has been excellent. Last time I came in to sell some records that I had been given. They gave me a fair price, and I got talking to the guy that was cleaning the

I just started collecting Vinyl not that long ago, and heard about record store day and was pretty excited. Mills Record Company did not disappoint. They had the record I was looking for (How to Train Your Dragon 2 Record Store Day

The store is great for music discovery. Plenty of new and old records. The vibes are always good in the store. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Also take a look at the books or grab a t-shirt.

First, you should visit Mills if you are record shopping in KC. It should be either your top priority or near the top. It’s worth the visit and it’s not a question of whether you should go or not.

One of the best record stores in KC! They have a wide selection of vinyl and very friendly staff. Going here would be the perfect way to accidentally spend most of your Saturday.

  • Oscar Burke

One employee was super nice! Other employee was pretty rude. Wouldn’t price reasonably for a totally deteriorated cover. Good records! Just a little overpriced at times.

  • Blake David

One of the best selections of curated new and used records for a pretty fair price. Employees are always friendly and welcoming. Could not recommend this place more!

BUYER BEWARE!!! My daughter & I shopped here for the 1st time 12/22/23. We spent nearly $450 on records. (THEIR RECORDS ARE UNGODLY EXPENSIVE)

Lovely shop in a fantastic neighborhood. Good selection of new and used albums. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff.

  • Dawn Sanford

There was lots of inventory, and I found a couple of records I've been looking for. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly

  • Jerry Java

I'd recommend Mills only to people I dislike. I've had only uncomfortable/rude interactions with the Owner and Staff.

  • Alex Reiney

One of the most expansive record shops I’ve been to, with rows of new, used, and hard to find vinyl.
