O‘zbekiston poytaxtida, Anhor daryosi bo‘yida Minor masjidi joylashgan bo‘lib, u eng yangi diqqatga sazovor joylardan biridir. Masjidning ochilishi 2014- yilda musulmon dunyosi uchun muhim voqea bo‘lgan Qurbon Hayit bayrami arafasida bo‘lib o‘tdi. Qurilish jarayonida an’anaviy sharq me’morchiligining barcha me’yorlariga rioya qilingan, ammo masjidning oq marmar bilan bezatilganligi uni qadimiy masjidlardan farq qiladi. U 2500 dan ortiq kishini sig‘diradi. Quyoshli kunlarda masjid quyoshda porlaydi. Minorning old qismi ko‘kalamzor bilan o‘ralgan xiyobondan iborat bo‘lib, ichkarida ulkan zali bor, u muqaddas Qur’on kitobidan olingan oyatlar bilan va oltindan qilingan Makkaga ishorasi bilan bezatilgan. Bu juda yosh diqqatga sazovor joy bo‘lishiga qaramay, unga albatta tashrif buyurish kerak.

Good place to visit. Very clean place. About this place Construction of the mosque began in the summer of 2013 and was done in the best traditions of the eastern architecture. At the same time, Minor mosque differs from old brick mosques with its white marble finishing. It shines under the clear sky and its turquoise dome seems to be vanishing in the sky. Its capacity is more than 2400 people. Minor mosque is divided to the open front part with terraces, and big round hall with gold plated mihrab (a semicircular niche in the wall of a mosque that indicates the qibla (the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca and the direction Muslims should face when praying), adorned with writings from Koran. New sight does not have a long history yet, but once you are in Tashkent, don’t miss your chance to have a look at Minor mosque in all its white marbled glory.

Minor Mosque in Tashkent is a stunning embodiment of modern Islamic architecture, a true jewel in Central Asia. Its majestic presence is marked by traditional marble, towering minarets, and a striking turquoise dome. Inside, the mosque provides a serene and simple retreat, perfect for contemplation and prayer. I had the blessing to observe Fajr prayer here, an experience that highlighted the mosque's tranquil ambiance and spiritual depth. The integration of technology with tradition is evident in the multi-lingual Mushafs featuring QR codes for online Quran recitation, reflecting the mosque's commitment to accessibility and modern relevance. Its cleanliness, organization, and the innovative approach to religious texts make it not just a place of worship, but a symbol of Uzbekistan's rich history and its role as a cultural crossroad.

Haqiqatdan ham ushbu chiroyli arxitekturaga ega va Toshkent shahridagi asosiy jomelardan (masjidlardan) biri hisoblanadi. Ammo Islom dinida masjidlarning ko’rinishi ularning hashamdorligiga hech ham hojat yo’q bo’lishiga qaramay , bu yerga tomosha qilgani yoki namoz o’qish uchun kelmoqchi bo’lganlarga kelishni tavsiya etaman. Masjidning ichkari qismi jazirama kunlarda juda ham salqin haroratda bo’ladi .Juma namozlarida esa bu yerga juda ham ko’p odamlar keladi. Yozning issiq kunlarida masjid tashqarisida ayron , mevalardan tayyorlangan har xil mazzali hamda tabiiy bo’lgan muzlatilgan ichimliklar sotiladi.

Beautiful mosque in the heart of the city. It is very big in size and can accumulate a lot of people at the same time. It’s white in colour. There is a garden adjacent to it where one can relax or may spend some time in nature. A water stream go almost underneath it. It adds the beauty of the mosque. A graveyard is also adjacent to it. Everything is well managed and all the premises are very clean and hygienic.

Beautiful colours shine in the sun light. Not that huge inside, quite peaceful. Went inside and a few people were praying so didn’t disturb anyone just took a couple of pictures, then realised that for praying purposes, there is another out building but women aren’t allowed inside the main hall.

It's a new Mosque in the heart of Tashkent city which is about 10 year old only. It's built with white marble and looks majestic. Though the architecture is similar to the old Mosques in Uzbekistan, the material used is entirely different. Must visit place if one is in Taskent.

I’ve visited the mosque only from the outside at early evening. It looks nice, but I didn’t like the moving led panel next to the entrance on both sides as it looks like entering a theme park ‍♀️ Unfortunately it destroyes the nice architecture.

One of the most elequent and beautiful mosque, the Minor Mosque is a new mosque in Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan. It is located on the bank of Anhor canal, whose embankment has undergone major improvements in recent months in terms of its appearance. The blue dome reflects a wonderful sight to behold and truely captivates the beauty.

  • Helen Yu (Chestnut Journal)

The Minor Mosque, despite its name, is anything but Minor (it is named after a region called Minor). As Uzbekistan’s biggest mosque, it is the centre of worship and prayer. We arrived by train at 7am in the morning, and it was perfect timing for an early visit, and indeed we found peace and quiet there. Remember to dress and act respectfully.

Generally when you visit uzbekistan you will find all blue architecture but this one is bit different ,it’s white.Visitors can enjoy the elaborate architecture and colorful tilework and learn more about the history of Tashkent through its many inscriptions. The Minor Mosque is definitely worth a visit when in Tashkent!

  • Huang Sophia

This is a newly built but absolutely beautiful mosque. There were not many people when I visited. Unlike other mosque, the main color theme is white delicately adorned with navy blue patterns. Unfortunately, it takes around 20-30 minutes walk from the nearest subway station. Yet, if you have time, I recommend a visit!

  • Asma Desai

Beautiful masjid with friendly staff. We arrived right before closing and they still allowed us to pray isha. Beautiful courtyard, with a lot of benches (as is the norm in Uzbekistan). Women's area is a bit small, but as I've learned that is also the norm in Uzbekistan (many masjids don't even have a women's section)

  • Saalim Momin

For each masjid is a place to calm your heart and soul in a world of problems and concerns. It was opened on 1 October 2014, on the eve of the Eid. Its capacity is more than 2400 people. It is near to the UzExpoCentre. It shines under the clear sky and its turquoise dome seems to be vanishing in the sky.

Great impressions. It's a must for any guest of Tashkent to visit this devoted place. It's a beautiful white mosque Minor. Met there the bosh imom (the chief imam) Rahimberdy. Everything starting from taharat (self-cleaning facilities) till architecture and athmosphere around is so nice.

Fell in love with this mosque. Great architecture work, awesome design. The colour and the embroideries are fantastic. The inside and the outside of the mosque are both magnificent. The room for wudhu is also very clean and tidy. May such places increase in numbers in our country.

A beautiful structure in midst of Tashkent. The place makes you feel at peace and immerses you in the can surroundings. The workmanship is symmetric and everything looks as though it belongs there. It has all basic amenities, ample parking and the place is visitor friendly.

Worth a visit, especially for the outside tile work and calligraphy. The inside for women is not as nice as it is for men, so if you are a woman, ask a man to take pictures of their side of the mosque.

Come here early in the morning and enjoy the silence with birds singing. The area around is a great place for walk along the Anhor channel. Upd 27/06/22 They got this sign that I hadn't seen before.

Beautiful, traditional-style mosque with modern traits built in 2014. You're welcome to come have a look even if you have no business praying or doing other islam-related activities.

Nice and calm place. You can sit near the riverfront and enjoy the kayakers as well. A bit far from the metro though so beware of that
