I consider the Mission Bay park a total under-rated hidden gem in San Diego. It's an easy on and off the freeway at just one block from the I-5. There is ample parking and it can accommodate any size vehicles including RV's and trucks with trailers. Boat and jet ski launches are also available. Really nice paved walking paths line the bay front and are wide enough for bikes, strollers and in-line skating. Concrete picnic tables and seating are scattered throughout the park. A huge kids playground is located at the southern end of the park near Sea World drive. Many families do birthdays at this end of the park so the kids can play. If you're wanting a safe place to swim with warmer water this is it. Since it's on the bay there aren't the ocean-front waves and colder water temperatures. There's a newer cafe that's opened at the original visitors center in the center of the park with coffee. Tea and snacks. Really nice seating with umbrellas is available overlooking the waterfront. This is my favorite go-to water front location! Insider tip- holidays are a mob scene at the park and you'll need to get there very early if you're planning a picnic or family event there.

Very expensive, even with a discount. We got all day 'dining' tickets for 3 adults and 2 kids around 160 dollars. The food they offered for that was horrendous, most kids items were not available, so they had to eat chicken nuggets, which consisted of more dow than meat. The sauces were partly empty, the drinks tasted like chemicals, etc etc.. awful, unhealthy (even the salad bowls). The park was very filthy. The rides were exactly 1,5 minutes, waiting time was sometimes 75 minutes. There were no polar bears, only pictures of them. More souvenir stands than ocean life. We were disappointed, the kids had fun with the tide pools and the rides. For the really fun rides you have to pay extra. We won't go back.

Coming here for the second time in a decade and this place never ceases to amaze people. It's one of the best tourist attractions of the state of California, very well maintained, courteous staff and plenty of entertainment around. There are a range of passes, tickets and upgrades available to accommodate. The facilities inside the park are plentiful and diverse, one can rent the strollers, accessible carts etc based on needs. The food is amazing inside and it's diverse based on the needs of the kids. The parkings are a little costlier compared to other places but it's up to individuals on what sort of chance they want to take. Net net is a fun place to be in, with family, kids, parents, grandparents too.

This was my first time having the opportunity to come and visit Seaworld, and I have to say it was definitely a blast. They have all sorts of attractions and rides as well as awesome places to grab some food whenever you are hungry. The exhibits are some of the cleanest and nicest I’ve seen for animal life as well as pretty much every single animal look well taken care of and happy. I visited with my family so it is a great place to take the kids and older ones too! Lots of things to do and stay busy! Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t it is worth every penny!!! 5/5 stars!!!

Boat launches, ski and tubing areas, picnic grounds, playgrounds, Sea World San Diego, fishing, marinas, hotels and restaurants. Great running paths and Family friendly beaches. Bon fires in many locations. There really is too much to detail here. See for yourself. Drive around the bay, or up and down the beach area from South shores, past the roller coaster and up into Pacific beach and La Jolla. Walk the Boardwalk. Cycle. Scooter. Most of all, enjoy. BTW 4 stars for traffic and the distance between restrooms.

A spectacular park. Good services and shows. Good customer service. It is still sad to see animals in such small spaces, wildlife animals trained to entertain us. I still hope that one day this will end. It is a place to visit, with family, alone, with friends . Restaurants need to be improved in terms of quality and price. The roler coaster was great fun . A must visit park if you come to California.

Probably the best theme park I've been to by far. So many great shows but the Dolphin's Adventure is the coolest in my opinion. Really fun and heart dropping attraction rides like Emperor, Artic Rescue, and Journey to Atlantis. But my favorite of all is Shipwreck and Tidal Twister. All Day Dining is the best bang for your buck if you are planning to stay for the entire day. Only downside is the waiting line can be long in the afternoon.

4 1/2 hours of enjoyment - and we didn't go on a single ride. The shows are very professional and the animals appear well looked after. The Orca were the stars for us. Highly recommended, although do need to question the access to alcohol at a family park! A lack of stock in some shops and ice cream parlors was a bit disappointing but didn't spoil a lovely afternoon.

It’s a great place to walk around and getting refreshed!! It’s just a beautiful place and you’ll definitely enjoy this area! I was here for the sake of SeaWorld and had a great time there! Be there earlier to enjoy to the max! Bring your friends and family and have a great time there! ✨ Cheers

I hadn't visited seaworld since 2005 and oh man, it's changed a lot. It's a great place to bring your friends and family. Shows, rides, and food all in one place. I'd recommend getting the yearly pass and enjoy all year long

Very small for the price. It's not really too much to see or do. Even though I took my time, I completed everything, and I mean everything, and walked the entire park (most restaurants seemed to be closed). In under 2 hrs. As much as I love the ocean, for the price, go to the SD Zoo. Animal experience still get SeaWorld a 3 star.

  • Chaslyn Betiong

There were a lot of seaweed!!! Still enjoyed ourselves!! There's an area for surfers and an area for swimmers. Strong current, but still enjoyable for our kids. We went at around 3pm and parking was limited, but we were able to find a spot.

I really enjoyed my experience at Seaworld, it’s kid friendly, so you can take your children of all ages and I’m sure they will enjoy the sea life experience all of the animals, the training and the education it’s so amazing. The prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend going during the weekdays.

We went the crazy day when the waves were insane and coming over the wall, but our kids loved every second. So much to do along the beach and absolutely beautiful! We were from out of town and ended up talking to many locals who were kind and outgoing!

  • jessica villagrana

Clean, nice staff, super fun! I took 2 toddlers and 2 big kids. They all had fun. We went with friends so the kids could do the bigger rides and the toddlers had fun touching the fish at the entrance and looking at the shark reef and other exhibits.

  • Bipin Raju

The only thing I disliked is they charge a full ticket for my 3 year old however he was not tall enough to get on any rides even with adult supervision. They should charge a kids ticket fare for kids who are not eligible for all the rides

It has been a few years since I was at see world the last time. The place has changed tremendously. The shows are still good but they have lost the pizzazz and wonder if the past. Good experience but haunted by past greatness.

We had such an amazing time. Their app made navigating the park a breeze. We did the dolphin encounter, worth the money. We met Dotty, and we were able to feed, touch, and interact with her. Wonderful memories were made.

Except for the sea weed or algae, beach is clean not at all polluted by public. Very well behaved, highly decent crowd. Sunsets are superb. Very nice beach
