Last week I visited this hotel with a group of friends, we were all super excited to be meeting up and enjoying some quality time together, particularly when using the spa facilities. On arrival we were given room keys and reminded of our dinner time. At no point at anytime was there mention of the spa facilities being CLOSED! We found out by asking what time it closed. We expressed our disappointment and was told the operations manager would come and have a chat with us, at which point he arrived with a very muscular bodyguard, at first I didn't recognise him so much but whilst speaking to the manager and glancing over at him a few times, it was clear he wasn't smiling or at all friendly. After quering what discounts or compensation we would receive it was made clear that it was the choice of a bottle of prosecco or two bottles of wine. We opted for the prosecco but to be honest was not entirely happy with it because if we had known the facilities were our of use we could of rearranged for another suitable date. Due to poor communication this wasn't made an option. The receptionist was adamant that she had sent an email informing me of the change but I hadn't received any correspondence from the hotel since my last stay in 2016. A few days prior to attending the hotel I called the reception to let them know that I hadn't received any confirmation email as yet and asked for them to send one, unfortunately this was not sent, due to being busy I didn't get the chance to chase it up. The waiting staff were wonderful at dinner and breakfast and made us feel very welcome and looked after. The breakfast selection was great and the roasties on the evening were tasty but overall the standard of the carvery was below standard. I expected more from the selection and quality of the food.

Noteworthy details
As I have previously worked within customer service in premium department stores I am well informed as to how the customer should be treated and I feel in regard to us receiving a more suitable compensation it could have been dealt with more compassion and strategy. Communication is key and even though I didn't receive the email, the information SHOULD have been relayed at the front desk at check in. The ladies and I will now be considering another hotel for our future vacations based on this experience which is ashame because it is such a BEAUTIFUL venue. It's spacious, luxurious, clean and inviting.

Stayed here last night and had a mixed experience. First off we had two rooms booked, however on check-in our rooms that were assigned were not next to each other. Did ask the receptionist to move them, but he said the hotel was full and there were no other twin rooms available. The rooms given were not even on the same floor which was not convenient. Especially given that the hotel is so confusing to find your way around. We kept getting lost trying to find the other room. Be aware there is no lift, lots of stairs and corridors and is like a maze trying to find your way around. Could be a problem if you have mobility issues. Definitely needs better signage. The bedroom was small, but clean and warm. We stayed in 279 and our friends in 132. Their room was more modern and larger than ours. Ours only had a shower, where there's had a walk in shower and a bath tub. On arrival at the spa, we were told that you have to book a time slot which is only 1 hour long. This was very frustrating as we were planning on spending a few hours here unwinding. We did report this to the duty manager, but I'm guessing they get this complaint all of the time. Apparently we should have had a confirmation email stating the booking process, but we showed the duty manager the email we received and it contained no such details. He did offer us a drink on the house due to the inconvenience. The pool area is nice, however it is extremely small. The steam and sauna can only hold about 4 people comfortably. The jacuzzi is also small, and the temperature is not hot. It was quite noisy in the spa, quite a few children playing around. You are not provided with slippers and the changing rooms are not the cleanest. Dinner was very good in the Oak restaurant and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also had breakfast in the Oak and again it was very good, however the temperature of the buffet items could have been hotter. The decor around the property is lovely, well kept geounds and does provide some good photo opportunities. Overall an okay stay, but I would not suggest staying here if you are looking for a relaxing spa day.

I have had the worse experience ever on my hennight i will never want to recommend this hotel to anyone I came to this hotel on the 8/7/23 i booked a hotel room and a half day a spa day i should of been in my room by 3pm but they made me wait around till 3:50pm and in my eyes that is not right taking a full payment from a customer and making them wait and the staff there have repeated lied when i made forward complaint to the manager name mark that we never said the room was not ready and you have to wait around plus on top of that i had shower and the shower would not turn off in the room nothing was explained how the wifi is connected plus when it came to my body massage the lady never came 10minutes early infact she was 5minutes late. Its quiet sad they take full payment and treat customers like this. The manager name Mark who i made a forward complaint to said my staff are not lieing how can anyone say that you should be checking cameras in the spa reception that a customer been waitting calls should be recorded where hotel to spa calls are not i just cant believe the stress i have had and this experience. I wont ever be going back there to be treated differently again and waste my money Mark i have read your respond and i can clearly say to you your spa staff has completely have lied your saying you have seen the cctv camera in the spa then you should clearly see in the spa area i am standing waitting there and the lady at the spa reception clearly says to me i need to wait 30minutes here as your room is not ready yet then one of us will take you to the reception where you can check in you can clearly see in the cctv the gentle man in the camera who walked me to the reception my treatment was finished by 3:13pm i was waitting from 3:15pm to 3:50pm Your staff has made a mistake which no one wants to come forward and say they have made a mistake I will not be visiting your hotel again and i do not want anymore replies back from your hotel staff as its like im repeating myself and what im saying is being ignored my hennight girls was with me and they know what has happened Thanks Reena

We had our wedding at this venue yesterday and we and our guests cannot stop raving about how perfect the venue was and even more importantly, how lovely the staff were. From day 1 of checking-in, the staff were so friendly, courteous, and happy to help even out of hours. I was made to feel calm, at home and supported in the best way! The bridal prep suite is stunning! I couldn't believe my luck when I walked in... 2 bedrooms attached, a ginormous bed and so spacious and clean. Perfect! The team did move my belongings to our second room the day of the wedding and this was done with care so I'm grateful for that... our room the following night didn't quite compare to the bridal prep suite but that was down to us more so as we chose not to upgrade our room. No complaints here! The swan on the bed was a lovely touch too. A special thank you to Claire, James, Charlotte and Amy! You were all so kind and helpful. You have made our memory so much better and we couldn't have asked for a better team to have taken care of us. I'd also like to thank all of the other staff including those on reception for being so kind and joking with us, to the cleaners in the hallway, and the staff tirelessly working to prep and reorganise the room and sunken garden for us... the staff serving throughout the night and wedding breakfast were so attentive and polite! They were concerned I didn't like my soup when really I was just concerned about spilling it on my dress - the food was delicious, hot and just what we hoped it to be. The next morning, the hotel had sectioned off the oak room for us and our guests to have breakfast together... the food again was delicious, hot and well presented but again, the highlight was the staff! A very kind lady (sadly I didn't catch her name) described how the staff from the day before had been raving about the wedding and what a great time it was... her son worked there too... she was so kind and enthusiastic - really made my morning! 5 stars aren't enough to express our gratitude to you all.

Absolutely shocking establishment! we booked an overnight stay for our anniversary for 2 adults and 1 child who is 4 years old. Saturday we arrived and went to our room which was spacious as promised, however, it had a really damp, mouldy and old smell upon entering the room. I couldn't put my clothes in the wardrobe as this smelt even worse! The carpet was really dirty and needed vacuuming. We went back to the room after dinner and there was a wedding on and it was so so loud my 4-year-old didn't get to sleep until 11pm which was just a nightmare and not the relaxing anniversary night we expected. I did call reception and they said that the Duty Manager would call me back or come and see us, neither of these things happened. Surely that corridor should be for people who are attending the wedding. The meal in the country kitchen was a carvery and it was horrible. The parsnips were rock hard, it was luke warm at best, the fish tasted like the ocean and the desserts were like from an all inclusive buffet and the service was so slow as there is no bar in the restaurant, the service was extremely slow and we were on our mains when we got our drinks. The staff were very friendly but the service was shockingly slow, I wish we had been out to eat. Although they refunded the meal, no refund, partial refund or voucher was offered for the hotel room and a management response was ''We cannot be held responsible for the behavior of others guests'' disgusting, what you can be responsible for is where you allocate rooms! They did offer 50% off my next stay, however, I would never pay to stay here again! I did say I would take my review down if they refunded me for the room as I originally requested but as they decided not to do this then I hope this review helps The meal wasn't even worth paying for at all it was awful and have seen other reviews like this too, being refunded for the meal was one thing which needed to be refunded and this has nothing to do with the issue with the room.

Went for a Spa day with my daughter and was disappointed beyond belief. I have had many spa days over the years but have to rank this as the worst. Firstly on arrival their was no warm greetings from the member of the spa then we were sent to what i can only describe as a shoe cupboard up a short staircase ( it was also cold up there) then another lady appeared and asked if we wanted tea and toast (no other option) also the table set up was all sachets and felt like being in a roadside cafe. After the tea and basic toast we went back to the spa reception ( which was also the gym reception) thinking now our experience would be starting how wrong was we. The spa day arrival time is 9.30 til 5pm and our treatment time was 2.30 so we had quite a few hours ahead. We were shown a small pool with a jacuzzi built into it and was also being used for hotel guests and gym member's and their children and that was our spot for the next few hours, nothing relaxing about it at all with the noise from children splashing around and having fun which is fantastic to see but not so great for a spa day experience. We were given a timeslot for lunch at 12.30 where we had to revisit the cupboard up the stairs over looking the bar where their was a wedding reception happening again that's great but i didn't feel very comfortable walking through the wedding party in our robe's and if it was my wedding i wouldn't be to happy either to have people walk through with their robe's, very odd. Finally we had our treatment and to be honest i have absolutely no complaints about the massage but i can tell you once it finished we got ready and might i add very dirty changing room (floors) we then left early as i couldn't take anymore. I genuinely think that the spa manager needs to visit other hotel spa hotels very nearby and see what they are lacking. Overall very poor and certainly not a 4 star experience.

Surprised by a couple of recent reviews. I must say my stay was almost perfect from start to finish ,,, reception were helpful and polite , staff passing you always said hello and smiled ,, carvery I had Sunday night was great apart from the one issue with the coke been very weak ,due to the mix running out , which happens everywhere , so not an issue ,,, Food was hot and good ,, Breakfasts I had on my two morning were very good and good choice of different requirements ,, and the staff were really lovely and pleasant Room was a good size and good facilities ,, parts were a looking a little old , but hey , it’s an old place and is part of the nostalgia ,,, must say the shower was as great as mine ,, the large top part was lovely and the smaller was was pretty powerful The swimming pool does and did get busy ,, and on the website it states you may be allotted a time to swim or a wait ,, so was expecting that as the hotel was busy whilst I was staying , but I must of timed it right every time I went to the pool car park at the front gets busy , but there is a large one around the back with plenty of spaces ,, also which I wish I’d parked at when I arrived as my room was closer to that one , but all helps with the fitness All in all I was very happy with everything and will be back , but hopefully in better circumstance as I’d travelled for a friends funeral and decided to make a Little break out of it

The grounds are spectacular. The hotel has the wood paneling in every room creating an ambience of opulence and luxury. The bedroom was charming and comfortable with great bedding. It is very clean throughout. We had dinner at the Country Kitchen. It was an excellent 3 course carvery. Bring a big appetite! That's where we had an excellent breakfast too, buffet style. The service is good in the restaurant but almost inexistant in the bar. Most of the time there's nobody behind the bar and when there is they are so nonchalant you feel like you're disturbing. The tables stay covered with empty glasses and a mess for a long time. We had to ask to get it cleaned. Certain customers would clear their table and ask for a cloth to wipe it themselves! Or they just walk out. The Spa is nice. There is a good sized swimming pool and a not very warm small jacuzzi. The sauna and the steam room can accommodate no more than 4 or 5 persons. During school break it was very very busy. Couldn't keep the steam in as the door was always open. It was a nice break and we enjoyed the ambience, the food and the spa even though it was very crowded. I recommend.

Booked for an overnight bee keeping experience that was terrific in itself. It was the hotel service that's the problem....Superior room was very nice with nice additions but oh dear, to eat and drink here is beyond rubbish. First the bar, I went up to the bar and it took 5 minutes to get served, no one in attendance. When I did eventually get served, I ordered a glass of prosecco which was mean fully poured into a measuring cup before pouring into a flute. I've actually brought hundreds of glasses of prosecco and cava and I've never seen it measured out before!! Is it any wonder it was warm and flat?? It was sent back. It happened again later at dinner. This was also not right...shown to our table, staff went missing for 5 minutes and then bread rolls were brought to us. Where was the offer of drinks, menus and general guidance of how the carvery works. The food was acceptable however. Breakfast was actually very good and thoroughly enjoyed. Maybe because we turned up on Father's Day and it had been a busy service so the staff had had enough but we won't return now.

Stayed over night for a work Christmas party event . The room was clean and nicely prepared on my arrival. I have been welcomed by a very friendly receptionist, who explained to me where our event will take place, where my room is located and where to go for breakfast in the morning. Heating was on full blast, so the room was very warm, but the radiator velve worked well so I could amend it to my preference. A nice big and comfy bed, plenty of towels in different sizes, two dressings, soap, shampoo, body lotion....all provided by the hotel. Also coffee, milk, sugar, tea and some shortbread biscuits as well . Next morning I have had a little walk in surrounding garden. It was very nice, quiet place. I know the is pool and spa facilities, however I can't make any comments on this as I haven't use it. The food we have had during our event was fantastic and very nicely presented. Breakfast was full English style , served your self system, fresh fruit, cornflakes and muesli. I am glad I could attend the event at this place and I would come back again, so I will recommend and highlight very, very friendly staff.

Wouldn't come here ever again. Seen loads of marketing on this place and thought it would be a brilliant place for a weekend away. Was given wrong information about the spa. Wasn't informed that we would have to book a slot to attend, I was told that we could just go straight in over the phone. Didnt even get to go to the spa at all when the whole reason we booked was to have a relaxing time away but it was fully booked. Being told that we coulg go at 6am isnt exactly what anyone wants when theyre off work and wanting to unwind. On top of that the showers and bath in the bathroom were very very cold with no radiator working in both bathroom and bedroom. Water pressure from bathroom was so bad it would take you 2 hours to have a shower. Service was very bad as I asked for water to be sent up to my room from the bar and it never arrived. A lot of noise that it was nearly impossible to sleep. Rooms are nothing fancy, very basic and not worth it for the price. Was quite disappointed.

Room was tired, dirty and smelly. Shower didn't work so moved to a lower-grade room without any apology (in fact, it was only once in the room that we worked out it was not the same grade as the one booked and paid-for. The walls in the new room were so thin that I could hear someone snoring next door sufficiently loudly to keep me awake. But at least the shower worked. Food (carvery) exceptionally poor. Dry, overcooked main course, laughably awful selection of starters and deserts so pathetic looking that we didn't even bother. Drinks extortionate and I am appalled that Best Western can charge over £20 per head for that slop. At least the waiting staff were helpful and polite. Duty managers (both hotel and restaurant) just didn't (seem to) care. If you are thinking of staying either prepare to lower your standards or, better still, book somewhere (anywhere) else

We just held my Nans Funeral reception at Moor Hall and I honestly cannot recommend this venue enough. We have had the pleasure of visiting moor hall many times over the years to celebrate birthdays and Christmas and attend Spa days. But the level of service we received for the funeral will never be forgotten. Nothing was ever too much for the staff, the venue was organised and clean. Our guests were massively impressed and happy. I had endless compliments through the day about how lovely our nans reception was. A special thank you to Claire who was so kind on the day and really took care of us, making sure we had eaten and really looking after us. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Also another thank you to the rest of the team who helped us. We couldn't have done this without you all. If my Nan could have been there I know she would have felt truly loved and very special and she would have loved how amazing her special celebration of life was. Thank you all.

Upon arrival you would expect the height of luxury. We have been before and our stay was fantastic. However, this time our room was very dated and very dirty. Sheets were not clean, robes were very old, the jacuzzi bath dirty on arrival, brown stains on the carpet that looked like a dog had been in there (with distinct stains on the edges of furnitures carpets that looked like urine). The carvery food in the evening was terrible. The poolside could have been cleaner and was very busy at times. We were not told that there was a Reggae night on any of our correspondence prior to our visit. Either on the phone or via email. It was incredibly loud and not what you want when you have a child with you. We could even feel the vibrations through the mattress. Overall staff were very polite. We were told that someone from management would be in touch with us the next day via email, they haven’t been.

Lovely setting for a hotel, golf course and a spa. From how they have designed it or how it's been designed; it looks to be a great venue for weddings. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. However, tables for two people on restaurant are a little small and have little space to place food/cutlery. Gym was very nice and clean. Have decent selection of gym equipment. Pool was out of order so unfortunately couldn't use it. They also do gym classes which is quite good. Gives you that bit of a push rather than doing a session alone. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. It has free parking. Would suggest they get the carpets cleaned throughout the hotel to give it that new re-fresh look. I would happily return here in future.

Booked a Spa for my wife’s birthday. We were greeted by a very pleasant lady who explained the day on offer so all very positive. Following this we became disappointed. The towels and robes felt very old and worn, we had to pay £5 for a pair of cheap tatty flip flops and found the whole place needed a general update. The gym is ok but very cramped, there were three loungers around the pool which were taken and then a handful of chairs, again mostly taken. Nowhere to hang robes or towels so generally hanging around. Bar and restaurant service was very poor. We pre ordered lunch on arrival but when it came to being served, we had to wait for a period of time, and when being served we had to ask for cutlery and condiments and furthermore had to ask if we could get a drink! The whole place and service was just underwhelming! On a plus side the wife said the massages and treatments were excellent.

My daughter and I visited the venue for a spa day and was very impressed. The venue and grounds are beautiful and parking facilities were good. The spa receptionist was wonderful, welcoming and informative and the meal was exceptional. We particularly liked that it wasn't the typical buffet style service. We really liked the quiet room which was most conducive to relaxation, rest and napping. It is the best that we have experienced in any spa's previously attended as were the showers. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the spa and by every member of staff that we met. All were welcoming and very pleasant and the therapists were awesome especially Codie. Her massage was wonderful and her lovely amiable personality made us feel relaxed and very comfortable. It was good value for money and I would highly recommend this spa.

I was disappointed with the spa day. I went for a relaxing overnight stay, but instead, I spent a frustrated overnight as from the beginning I found that the whole setup was not acceptable for anyone who has mobility problems the lifts was hard to find, there was no clear indication of where to go to find your room if you was on the second floor, you had to walk the whole length of the hotel. Then, to get to the spa gym again, the lift was out, so I had to climb 3 flights of stairs. FYI, I am not a mountain goat. I feel that more though could have been put into the convenience of the public, I know that you can not change the building, but you can think about what you can change for comfort

We stayed for 1 night only and loved location, but unfortunately we are disappointed with restaurant menu, food quality, bed was not comfortable at all and for some reason I couldn’t sleep at all, also bathroom was a bit in average condition. Early morning I asked personnel what time breakfast start, she said not sure and asked another person and that person same, finally a waitress come over and said 7.30 (it was Saturday)… but at check in they told us 7am. So in general beautiful place but lack of management and housekeeping.

Been here a few times and was a favourite until an overnight stay for my Birthday last Friday 31st March. Went for a swim around 10am Saturday before checking out at 11am and the pool was swarming with children. Several children were jumping in the pool one narrowly missing my head. A member of staff did speak to the parents but one large family then proceeded to take their 4 children to the jacuzzi and remain there for 30mins preventing anyone else from using it. Very unpleasant experience, doubt I'll be returning if this is going to be an ongoing issue as not able to enjoy the facilities.

It was lovely and welcoming. The staff were very friendly. Our room was clean apart from behind the TV, shower door had a bit of mould on it, which I cleaned off myself. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. Shower was nice and powerful. The room was warm. The coffee in the room is cheap, could get something better. Hot chocolate, brownie cookies and 4 little chocolates are a nice touch. I would have loved to look around on the grounds but it was raining. But it's a lovely quiet location. The room service was great and the food was lovely. I would come back again.

We went to Moor Hall Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary using a Wowcher deal. It is a beautiful place to stay in with lovely grounds. We enjoyed use of the spa which had everything we were hoping for: a steam room, sauna, pool and a jacuzzi. The following morning we had an excellent breakfast too which had every element you could hope for readily available. The staff we interacted with were polite, cheerful and helpful. The only minor niggles were the absence of a hairdryer in the room & an overly busy pool. Overall, a lovely relaxing stay.

I LOVE this hotel spa. I came here in December for 1 night. The receptionist was very helpful and the spa was so relaxing. The bar staff were all very attentive and even recommended drinks that I may like when I couldn't decide what to order. Our carvery was cooked to perfection and so was breakfast. The hotel has plenty of parking and is located on beautiful grounds, the views are amazing. We went on a walk before checking out and there was so much to see. We are already planning our second stay here and will be trying the afternoon tea next time too. It is definitely worth every penny.

Booked an overnight stay with my husband to celebrate 30 years together. Being busy working parents with 2 sports mad children we don't get much chance to just pause and spend time together. This stay was perfect - a few hours in the spa to relax and unwind, a clean, comfortable room with a bottle of wine, a yummy 3 course carvery meal with so much choice, a few drinks in the bar (uninterrupted conversation) and then to wake up to an amazing breakfast - I felt like I'd been away for a week! Thank you so much for a perfect getaway, we will definitely return xx

Quite underwhelmed, sadly. The room we stayed in was very dated and basic, and the bed was quite hard, too which left me tossing and turning. The water in the spa is luke warm and definitely needs to be higher. Breakfast was nice, but dinner was quite average. On a positive note, all staff were nice and friendly, the grounds were beautiful and it's a good location. For the money I paid, I did expect a bit more.

I have used the Hotel several times as a venue for Celebration or following a funeral and always had excellent service from the staff and good food at buffet in a hired room. The rooms are traditional with wooden panelling and windows and doors out onto verandah or patio overlooking the golf course and grounds. Very pleasant peaceful surroundings. I cannot speak for bedrooms and accommodation as have not used these. Have no hesitation in recommending the facilities I have used here and the Golf Club area.

I went here today and had the lunch time menu. This consisted of 6 or 7 courses. Each one was truly fabulous. All the waiting staff were excellent and displayed just the right level of attentiveness. Before we sat down in the dining room a member of staff took us through the kitchen garden and then through the kitchen. Both were very impressive. After the sumptuous meal we went for a further walk around the kitchen garden. Apparently 70% of the food served in the restaurant comes from the kitchen garden. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Was put in a horrendous room which was absolutely filthy! Gave them a chance and Told the staff I have allergy issues and needed it to be cleaned while we were out… it wasn’t. The pics I have attached are from when we returned (late) to the hotel / next morning - they moved us into a better room for the next night. As as result I suffered from allergy symptoms the next day. The receptionist told us to write to management regarding the room, I expected a refund for the night we stayed in that filthy room and they only offered 50% of that night - insulting to say to the least! Would not recommend.

It's a great place to get away, relax and recharge your batteries. The only ok let down was the spa facilities weren't available. I think I will like to return once it reopens . Would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed for two nights on the first night the bed was really firm. So if you have back issues you need to have an upgraded room night number 2 in a different room was very cosy and comfortable. To be honest I didn't want to leave.

Came here for a twilight spa and was really disappointed. The facilities are basic, robes and towels were very well worn and had rips in them, only a few beds around the pool which were all taken so therefore there is no where to sit, no hooks to put your towel and robe if there are no beds. The food included was all deep fried apart from 2 items which was a salad and chicken wings. I really feel it needs a refurb to compete with other spas in the area. On the plus side the facial I had was lovely and the lady in reception was really friendly.

Visited the venue for an afternoon tea spa experience on the 17/11/22 which my mum had booked for my birthday. The whole day was amazing from start to finish! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and the facilities were lovely and clean! Big thanks to Michelle and Ray who went out of their way to make the day extra special for me, I really appreciate it! Would definitely recommend and will be returning soon for my mum’s birthday!!

We recently had my father's wake here and also attended another wake in the same month. The service and food has definitely gone downhill in recent years. Still a lovely venue but needs to improve their service levels. Over the years we have had many family events at this hotel from my parents wedding in 1963, their golden wedding anniversary, my sister's silver wedding anniversary and my father's wake in September this year. The hotel has lost that personal touch they used to exude !

Today was the second time I have visited this hotel. The first was for a girls pamper weekend and today was for breakfast with Santa. On both visits the staff have been so friendly and helpful, it’s just a beautiful hotel and they cannot do enough for you. Food is amazing, so are the views, 100% recommend it

Breakfast looked good but was cold disorganised running out of side plates running out of food but even when more food brought in it was just warm. Party in the evening as soon as it was 12.00 the bright lights came on and music stopped it was if they had your money now go home. On the good side staff were pleasant.

Was disappointed with our room, its quite dated throughout and the bathroom looks atleast 30 years old. The curtain was broken which was annoying and the walls are quite thin as we could hear shouting/talking throughout the night. The only part we loved was the breakfast. The spa is quite basic as well and I would say this hotel is a 2 star rating at best.

Whilst I didn't stay overnight here, we had my late Aunts wake here. The views from the main bar overlooking the gardens were excellent. The buffet provided was excellent quality. The staff were superb and so attentive. Couldn't ask for better surroundings to say goodbye and my Aunt who often had meals and afternoon tea here would have loved the fact we all got to experience such a lovely place.

Went for a romantic weekend. The room was nice but not worth the price. Dinner was ok in the oak room but found the waitress a little needy, kept asking 'is everything ok'. Moved to the buffet the next night, a much more pleasant experience. Breakfast was great too. Overall it's unlikely I'll ever go back based on value for money.

Lovely setting for a hotel. It looks to be a great venue for weddings. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Bar facilities are good and the food for our evening meal and breakfast was excellent. However, tables for two people are a little small. All staff we came across were welcoming and friendly. We would happily return here in future.

Today I attended a funeral wake in the Oak Room. I rate the room, the food served and the staff as excellent. But parking was horrendous. Loads of spaces were reserved for leisure club people and even more for EV filling up. I have a small car and managed to get it in and out of a tiny space.

Lovely hotel, but they could invest in some noise isolation, as we could hear the wedding going on until 2am in our room. The breakfast staff were amazing and went out or their way to make sure we had what we needed. Dinner in the oak room was very nice although very salty.

We went for an afternoon tea hen party. There was 21 of us. Service was ok, but some sandwiches and cakes a little dry. We ordered some sharing bowls of chips that were tiny. Not worth the extra money for them. The table was a seat shot so we have to squeeze them on. Plus room is not disabled friendly as up stairs

Jo and Linda in the breakfast area were lovely. They were engaging, fun and have a quality most people these days don't have and that's the ability to talk, laugh and offer good ol' english banter with like minded people like me. This is why I gave this place 5 stars, people make your business, simple. More

Would be good but you need a membership to access the pool. You NEED one. It’s impossible to just pay to enter the pool, and even if you have a membership if you’re going with someone else they have to pay. It’s a bit weird and kinda ruined a day out but I see the reason in this I guess
