Mount Pleasant Park is so beautiful and an ideal place to visit, especially in the summer. Lots of trees to sit under, big canopies of flowers and vines covering a walkway with benches, plus a community garden, picnic tables, skate park, basketball court, and a playground. In the summer, Music On Main has live music performances. Once a year, there’s a giant movie screen put up for a show (Super Mario this time), and an annual park celebration with games and local businesses meeting the neighbours. The dentist’s office making and giving out free cotton candy this year was brilliant evil genius marketing. Someone (not me) anonymously decorates a lil tree there every Christmas. Over a few days, more and more decorations show up. Also, there is a gang of crows. You’ve been warned.

No parking to speak of due to the school staff and daycare staff in an otherwise tiny parking lot. This park is a dull reflection of what it used to be when it had a full community center and a pool. If you plan on attending here during the warmer months you'll be hard pressed to find a spot near the pot smokers and casual unrepentent consumers of open alcohol. There are two picnic tables which are usually where parents have birthday parties for the kids but that's right next to a basketball court which makes no sense. This is not a park to play football in or toss a frisby but if you're a pot smoking hipster skater then you've found paradise.

Nice little park play area. 2.5 year old approved park. There are 2 main areas of play with swings, slides , seesaws, climbing apparatuses including children's bouldering and ladders. There is a daycare centre there that also has additional play area for the public to use during specific set of hours. This park also has a skateboard park, basketball court, green space and a small box for ball hockey. A bit tight for roller but doable for a small group. Parking available with a small lot, but there is street parking on the perimeter of the park. Decent amount of parking on 16th

As parks go, I'd say there's too many people in it, but aside from that it's green and you can sit in it. On sunny days you can see everyone else sitting in it too. There's a dog park, skate park and playground. You can play basketball, or sign up for a garden plot that'll take forever to get (so signup now if you want one). It both does a lot and makes you wish you lived a little further away from everyone else. It's usually pretty clean, which is surprising given how much traffic it gets, but after it rains some of the lawn can turn into a swamp.

I live really near this park and have been walking my baby here often. The environment is nice and right amount of shade and sun spots. However I often found people smoking cigarettes or weeds here. I would often tell them there's no smoking at public parks, most will put it out, but you do get occasional few who doesn't listen because there are no non-smoking signs on the park. The park is small, so when someone smokes, you can only leave if you have small children with you. It's a shame as it's a nice park.

I was borned and raised in eastvancouver, especially Mount pleasant area. I went to Simon fraser elementary. I even though I like the area still for 2022 . But I only wish that they kept the outdoor swimming pool. I had so much memories at the pool and it was a awesome community with everyone . So many people signed the petition to keep the pool going. But the city still took it from us. I would put 5 stars if they bring back the pool. We all much love in the mount pleasant area .

Mount Pleasant Park, a delightful urban oasis, offers a serene escape amidst the bustling city. Its well-maintained paths and lush greenery make it a favorite for morning joggers and families seeking a leisurely stroll. Children are often seen enjoying the well-equipped playground, while picnickers favor the shaded areas under the park's ancient trees. The park also boasts a small but charming pond, which becomes a focal point for bird watchers and nature enthusiasts.

This neighborhood features something for just about everyone. Plenty of grass to sunbathe or play Frisbee on, a basketball court for those who want to shoot some hoops, and one of Vancouver's rare skateboard parks as well. There's a decent playground for the kids, and the Mount Pleasant community garden is also located here. Thumbs up for a sunny day, although it can get pretty crowded on weekends in the late spring and summer months.

We came across this park randomly one day after shopping on Main street. It's very good, especially for younger kids. There's a fenced off play area for toddlers which belongs to the daycare (and is available for public use when the daycare isn't open), and some great structures for kids of all ages in the main playground area. Plenty of parking nearby and it generally has a nice feel to it. Will come back when in the area again.

Family-friendly park for any special occasions through all seasons. Very spacious and the city has done a great job keeping it maintained and clean. It has a mini skateboard park, playground for kids, a basketball court, multiple bench-tables near the pathways, a garden and the middle part has a unique seating area filled with plants with a drinking fountain for everyone to use. Great place to go if you want to feel relaxed.

  • Eli Wood

Great park, very nice place to relax and enjoy the summer sun. Recently a few food trucks have been parking around the perimeter, which is a nice addition in terms of culinary options. However, proper social distancing does not seem to be adhered to very close by some park goers. I would recommend going to this park during peak hours with the knowledge that you may be risking your safety and the safety of others.

  • Wes Rundle

I enjoy this park when it it less busy, very easy to find some flow here. When it is busy, it is almost hard to warm up haha. Down side is the time is closes and how it is gated. They put up skate stoppers because people were hopping the fence I guess, idk the neighbours are lame i guess. It is cool that the basketball court is right there for some flat ground fun stuff to move to after though haha good times!

  • Rob Brownridge

This park was totally re-done at some point in the last 10 years and now features a skateboard area, basketball courts, a playground, large grassy areas, paved pathways, and picnic tables. On sunny warm day it is packed with locals hanging out or having picnics. We all miss the outdoor pool and community centre that used to be here, but at least this is a great park.

  • Amelia F

This is a nice park to enjoy with your dog, it's a great picnic spot.
Playground
The playground usually has quite a few kids playing. There's also a skateboard area
Dog-friendliness
Dogs are allowed on leash, some.people.let their dogs offeash and throw a ball.
Picnic area
A few picnic tables, some benches, lots of grassy area to set up a blanket

Great large park in mount pleasant. With the move of the Mount Pleasant Community Centre Kingsway, Mount Pleasant Park underwent a major renovation in 2011/12. The newly redeveloped park features a central great lawn area, new playgrounds, sports court, parking lot, entry-level skate spot, a community garden, seating, universally accessible paths and picnic areas.

  • Christina Chandra

Add a wading pool or splash zone for kids in the summer and there is no park to beat. Kids love this playground with sand pit... The skate area is fun and the open area is perfect for...well anything (even had a outdoor movie night here). Super clean, and with the courts there, there is something for everyone right in the heart of the city.

  • Kristin C.

A beautiful park. It can get very busy on a sunny afternoon, but even then it's usually quiet and peaceful. Great place to spend a few hours reading or hanging out with friends. One negative, though: it's a shame that permanent washroom facilities are not in place. The portable toilets are often quite unpleasant.

  • Andressa Ravanello

It is a neighborhood park where people hangout for picnics, play with kids, play basketball, skate. It has some tables and it is very cheerful during late spring and summer. It is located in a primary school/child care area and after school usually there is some kids playing on the playground.

  • M

A great park! Plenty of playground area available for children, picnic tables and a covered area with benches if you want to sit in the shade in the summer. Also features a basketball park , a skate park and plenty of space to hang out on the grass. Just wish there was a bathroom nearby!

  • Sasha Smith Yoga & Movement

This spot has it all (almost)! A skate park, a playground, picnic tables, basketball courts... I wish there was a dog park! Sometimes doggies can play in the field during the day but technically owners could get a ticket for having dogs off-leash... a dog park here would be awesome!

  • Doug Wong

Excellent playground for young ones. Suitable for toddlers as well as 4 to 7 year olds. Some very innovative play structures, little different from usual ones. Plenty of grass and shade for picnics. Just no washrooms other than an outhouse. Basketball courts and skateboard park too.

  • Christina Hazisavvas

Quaint little park, perfect for small families. Called "the skate park" by the neighborhood kids... Perfect for all ages cuz it is 2 parks in 1, little tykes on one side bigger kids down the hill. A jungle gym for the little ones and swings and monkey bars for the bigger kids.

  • Casey Byrne

Such a nice park. Love coming here and sitting having drinks with friends. The park is super chill and relaxed. I really hope they don't build that pool here as it would completely change the vibe and they'd have to get rid of a lot in order to make space for it!

  • AllanKate Vlog

Lovely Place..I heard about this spot through a stranger so I googled it to find my way. Super easy day trip from Calgary and absolutely worth the drive. The pond is gorgeous, glassy, and full of color. Water is beautifully clear and my dog loved swimming here.

  • Daniel Fritz

On one side, you have several distinct park areas where kids of all ages can play. On the other side, you have a grassy field that is home to the distinctive "I'm not a hipster" hipsters that are prevalent throughout Mount Pleasant. Overall, it's a great park.

  • John Pozer

Lots of amenities packed into this compact and central greenspace. There are a good number of benches and picnic tables for a small park. There’s a community garden, a basketball court, playground and a fenced-in skate park in a setting with plenty of trees.

  • Maria guevarra

My kids love the playground. Good for both young and older kids. They love the wave swing, which is very unique in the park. Lots of benches for parents to sit on. Huge plus for being surrounded by trees. Overall, one of the best park in Vancouver

  • Michael boughen

I came to this park expecting peace, I couldn’t have been more wrong…Children and families polluting the green fields and playground benches. Not good for people who don’t like children!!! Kids might like it, I wouldn’t because I am not a kid!!!

  • Mary Gin and Jeremy

One of my favourite parks in the summer and year round. Basketball, skate park and grass field. This is a place perfect for a solo lounge or a group hang. Its well gardened and the grass is always green. Nearby restaurants and food and grocery.

  • Margery Duda

So much empty space in this lovely park where hundreds of people used to swim outdoors daily. The park is more popular now with people socialising, picnicking, and drinking, and the pool would certainly add to its appeal as people would

  • Soledad Ronco

The various playgrounds are pretty good, there's a skatepark and a really smoothly paved path with some slight ups and downs around the green space. A thriving community garden rounds out the park that's centrally located on a bike path.

  • Kathy Kelley

Went to eat our dinner purchased from the Fish Counter there and let my grand daughter play. Got there about 740 on Labor Day. Crowded. Picnicers, skaters, BB players!!!! Dogs and babies!!! Awesome. A perfect spot to restore calm

  • Ash Outadi

I loved the little skatepark in the back. Really great for beginners like me. just try to go early in the day if you want avoid other skaters lol. although the ones I met were nice, it did make learning to skate a little harder

  • jake tsui

Nice park with a 2 nice playgrounds, basketball court and lots of green space to settle down and relax. They should've left out the skate park. Family atmosphere park ruined by boarders . Would've given it a 5 but only a 3 .

  • richard gaston

Pleasant park located in, well, Mt Pleasant. Features a community garden, picnic tables, benches, playground. There is also a skate park there. There is a water fountain if you or your pet is thirsty. Also has some courts.

  • Geordie Wilson

  • Matthew Van Deventer

This park has more than meets the eye. Great place to read a book, hang out with family or friends, drink a beer, or conspire the character development for the next sessions of Dungeons and Dragons. Will go again.

  • Josh Harland

Mount Pleasant Park is a gem in the heart of the city. It's a peaceful retreat that offers a variety of activities and natural beauty, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

  • Dane K Barney

This is my favorite park in Mt Pleasant. Nice atmosphere, in a nice neighborhood, often has food trucks. Great place to hang out. The only thing I wish I could change is not being right on a busy street (16th).

  • Heather Maxwell

Everything you’d want in a park. Places for hipsters to chill. Shady spots for parents to rest. A skateboard park for the teens. An awesome playground to tire the kids out. All within beautiful landscaping.

  • Cailie Crane

Modern, well-maintained playground with many interesting features. Rubber flooring to put a bounce in your step or fall. Friendly families sharing the space. Surrounded by pretty trees and heritage houses.

  • Luke Burden

Great open expanse of grass that catches the sun until the end of the day. Has a modest outdoor gym and a 900m mulched running track. Beware the cricketers who can often dominate the park on weekends!

  • Mark Glimm

Great park. Basketball, skateboard park, nice tables and landscaping. The grass could use some work, there's holes here and there that could be ankle twisters for a disc chucker, but otherwise a gem.

  • Angus Johnston

Great park for its size. Green space, basketball court, playground, skate park, community garden and today there was a food truck and coffee cart parked there too! One stop shop for your park needs.

  • Steph Bolduc

Always a fun time here! Really chill and the grass always feels amazing! Perfect spot to just read and hang out in the sun. The one place that is just the right amount busy without being crowded.

  • Flo B.

Cute park with a ball court and a skate park. Wish they weren't trying to demolish the entire thing just for a pool. Or at least would be nice if they kept everything when they build the pool.

  • Nick

Really cute hidden gem. The park is fairly small but it’s definitely a popular choice for people in the area. There’s tennis and basketball here, and it’s also a popular spot for picnics.

  • TC

Lovely urban city park. Features community garden, children's play areas, dog friendly area, grassy areas, sitting and picnic benches, pathways, basketball court with adjacent school.

  • Bob McKenna

Nice place for a picnic. Playground for tots, enclosed skateboard area, small basketball court. STILL ANNOYED THE CITY NEVER REPLACED THE OUTDOOR POOL, as they promised they would !

  • F. W.

It's a pretty nice looking place. Don't have kids lol so I can't tell you about the playground but the walk is big enough for a wheelchair or walker and there's benches to sit down

  • David Borja

Beautiful smaller park next to a school and preschool. Tends to be busy on weekends so you won't be able to make a big game on the field, but very nice for hangouts and picnics.

  • Vicky Barr-Humphries

Would have given higher if there were washrooms. If we have two gather outside there should be done facilities for us who have to drive to see family & friends in our bubble.

  • Tovi Linde

A decently nice park in the Vancouver region. It has a small skatepark, a basketball court, and another court for various activities. What else do I need to say about it?
