We have avoided this location despite it being closest because of the reviews. We decided to give it a chance last night and discovered, loud and clear that its worth the drive to Kingsway. First impression on 6:10 arrival: Wow is it LOUD. Not music, people talking. The cacophony was overwhelming. We considered leaving but we were there. We were seated fairly quickly, in an odd booth in the direct sight line of a perpendicular aisle, 3 booths in from the door. Just an uncomfortable location. But away from much of the noise, so okay. The server comes, very friendly, we chat, we are friendly back, we order a beer and lemon water. Eons later, 2 water come. No lemon. She comes back says beer is on the way, I ask for the lemon. Oh yea. Will bring lemon with beer. Another long wait. Beer and lemon come. We then order. A $20 appetizer to share. $38 ribs for hubby and a $37+ steak for me. We'll look at dessert after. I explained I wanted my steak quite pink, not well done but not running blood. I said medium, the server said I should order it medium-well. I concurred. She's the liason between the grill cooks and the diners, she should know. After we ordered we waited forever for our appetizer, grilled cherry tomatoes on whipped feta, which we were very much looking forward to as we've had it many times. Eventually out comes our entrees. They had failed to make our appetizer. An apology and move on. The majority of our $38 plates are covered with a massive mound of dry mashed potatoes, steak on mine, 2 halved crimini mushrooms and a smattering of sauce on the steak, a few pieces of grilled red pepper and 3 asparagus. On hubbies, ribs, same bare potatoes and bowl of Caesar salad that fits on the dinner plate. No towelettes, she likely forgot those too. He had to clean his hands in his water and dry them on his napkin, lol! I try my steak. Grey, tough, and inedible. Our server comes over and asks how our meals are. I tell her I should have ordered my steak medium because it's over-fired and tough. Again, one apology and walk away. She avoided us after that. No point sending it back, they may have forgotten us entirely. When she absolutely couldn't avoid us any longer she came over, asked if there was anything else, she was told just the bill, oh and a bag so I can take this steak home to the dogs! A few minutes later she came back with the bill but forgot the bag! After all that, rather than apologize for what a lousy dining experience we had while we paid her, she went dirctly to "Well, what are you doing with the rest of your evening?" brushing it all under the rug and acting as though we'd had a great meal. That's when I got annoyed, unfortunately for her I was paying. Sure, it was mother's day weekend. But a good kitchen handles a full restaurant and missing an appetizer is ridiculous. So we were there close to 90 minutes for one course and a beer. And our server stood at the front desk where I could clearly see her with a group of servers chatting on several occasions. Why wasn't she checking on our appetizer? We made eye contact twice but her mouth didn't stop, she didn't raise her eyebrows she didn't come over and she walked right past us on several occasions. Then after the appetizer miss and the bad steak I believe she knew our table was a fail and gave up on us. We always tip 18% for good or even relatively good service. Last night's tip was reflective of the poor service and the flippant attitude when the meal was so dismal. We won't be back.

We recently went to this Moxies because we were in the area to see a movie. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and had cozy lighting. There is a large bar/lounge on the right side, and then the restaurant area is on the left. The hostess stand is straight ahead upon entry, and there is plenty of seating in the waiting area. There is a large parking lot with plenty of spaces, including handicapped. The booth we sat in was comfortable and had plenty of room - we didn't feel squished. The server and hostess were very friendly and quick to provide service. The menu does not have as many options as it used to (pre pandemic), and it's really sad that they no longer have the Broccoli Cheese Soup. While we enjoyed our time, we couldn't believe the price of things. The cheapest appetizer was $19 (for a mushroom & cheese dip with garlic toasts) .... it's really hard to justify spending over $60 per person for a basic meal. They have a "happy hour" menu, but it wasn't a super discounted price as some other restaurants. It was a difference of $2-$4 for most items. I don't think we will go back considering the cost vs. choices offered.

Lunch with my brother and Hubby yesterday Beautiful space- greeted promptly by the hostess * we were the first guests- they had just opened for lunch. I am celiac so asked about a gluten free menu options. The chef Jon was nearby said that he would come to our table to discuss. Kristen our server was very personable and took our drinks order. Jon came by and we talked about menu options but I settled on a burger as the grill was just cleaned we were the first orders- hubby had a french dip, brother a cheeseburger and fries. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Not much conversation - so delicious. Jon Silver- i told you that was the best burger I have ever had - and as a celiac I truly appreciate the care you and your staff showed me and my meal. My brother and hubby really enjoyed their meals ! Thank you to Kristen for your great service- thank you Erica for checking in with us but above all Thank you JON!!!!!! Truly a wonderful day :) Deb & Jim & Don

The Moxie Franchise needs to look into this location. I came in with my wife and baby for my wife's birthday everything was fine, server was nice. But we where being pushed out faster and faster. As soon as we sat, dinks sure I added calamari to start. 5 minutes later the waiter came back before we had our drinks to order our main. We ordered. Our server can be heard speaking to the white people sitting behind us not once but 3 tables, table after table, "what brings you to Moxies special occasion". Never asked us that, it is my wife's birthday today that we went to celebrate. Racially descriminated us! We where waiting for 45 minutes for the appetizer, we asked the waiter for an update. We ordered a balini, the waiter forgot it and brought it 15 minute after she forgot with no alcohol. An hour later they brought my steak first and then the appetizer/starters all at the same time. In all honesty it was a waist of money, the waiter did not deserve a tip, and if I could request a refund I would.... We should have went to the keg. Bad Business Bureau report 100%***

My family decided we needed a dinner out to enjoy some good food and a great atmosphere and Moxies on St Albert Trail did not miss! We were greeted by two friendly hostess’ that were warm and inviting, that promptly had us seated at our table. The place was packed but it didn’t take long for our amazing server, Riley to come save the day with some drinks! She was quick to introduce herself and start listing off specials. The drinks came out fast and so did our appetizers! The drinks and food were fantastic! I couldn’t help but notice, throughout our experience how busy the place was! Somehow Riley even took the time to acknowledge my daughter(1 year old) was getting a little restless as we were eating, so every chance she could, she made sure to make a silly face to brighten her mood as she walked by! She even brought over 2 lemon slices for her to try! It was a great distraction so mom and dad could eat! The food was exceptional! But even if it wasn’t I’d still give a 5 star rating just because of our server!

I came here one night for appetizers, and they were out of so many options. The waitress was kind of rude, too. She didn’t really come around to ask if we needed refills on drinks or anything, we had to wave her down. And I noticed that instead of coming to ask if we needed anything, she would just look across the room and if nobody was already waving her down she assumed everything was fine. Once I needed a new drink, I waved to get her attention and she made eye contact with me, but didn’t signal that she would come back and I thought it was rude. She did end up coming back anyways, but initially I felt like she ignored me. The when our food came, I had a few bites and decided I wanted hot sauce so I had to wait forever to see her and wave her down, then I asked for hot sauce and I had to wait forever for it to come. I was starving and felt like I didn’t want to continue eating and then be full by the time the hot sauce arrived. It was taking that long. So in all reality, I ate 75% of my appetizer without hot sauce because it took that long lol. It would have been better with.

The bar in this place plays music INCREDIBLY loud. You cannot hear anything but loud music. Asked the waitress if it was possible for the music to be turned down - she did. Not quiet, but at least I didn't have to scream at my lunch date. After 20 minutes, our order arrived, and the music went back up - louder than before. The waitress said "I asked her to turn it down and she turned it up." The manager came over and explained that the customers in the lounge expect loud music. There were 3 tables including us. It was 11:30 am. We were all yelling to be heard. She told us if we didn't like it, we could leave. Our meals had arrived. This was the manager. She couldn't have turned it down for 20 minutes for us and then turned it back up to deafening after we left? I didn't realize people coming in for lunch were expecting a dance bar atmosphere. I will never be back. It's no wonder Moxie's is going bankrupt. This is their idea of customer service? If you ask them to turn down the music, they turn it up? Is it being run by a rebellious teenager?

We had arrived and were seated quite quickly, although there was no host at the front to greet us. Our server got our drinks for us and then seemed to be more busy chatting with other customers then to ask for our food order. Once we ordered we waited 40 minutes to get it. Meanwhile she continued to talk to her other tables (only being 3 open tables) and telling them what sounded like her life story. She made eye contact with me multiple times but didn’t check up on us. Once the food arrived, it was someone else that brought it. Not her. And it was luke warm and my burger was covered in grease. Our server didn’t ask us once how it was either. I now sit here writing this review waiting for 25 minutes after finishing when my server has looked at me, wanting to pay. And she still seems to be too busy chatting with other people and coworkers in the back. I can find somewhere else to spend my money that I will have a better experience with the servers and get better food. I won’t be returning unfortunately.

I recently visited on Valentine's Day with my significant one, and it was an amazing experience. We both ordered steaks, with me getting the ribeye and my partner getting the sirloin, and both were absolutely awesome. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were incredibly flavorful, with the perfect balance of seasoning and tenderness. To top it all off, we ordered their signature trio dessert, which was simply great. The dessert consisted of three mini desserts, each with its unique and delicious flavor, and they all complemented each other perfectly. It was the perfect way to end our meal. In addition to the excellent food, the service was top-notch. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, and he helped us choose the perfect wine to go with our meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was also very romantic, with dim lighting and a cozy atmosphere that made for a perfect Valentine's Day evening.

I love Moxie's and go to the Kingsway location often. I've always had amazing food and service there. This was the polar opposite experience. We sat and waited over 20 minutes to get to go boxes. I had to wander around into the back kitchen area to ask if someone could snag us those boxes and to ask if I could pay. The woman was kind and went to find our server. Another couple had been sitting in the lounge almost 30 min without being served. When the woman brought our to go boxes, I had to ask again for the machine so I could pay. Admittedly, I was snarky, and asked if it could please be asap. Service aside, my sweet potato fries were charred and cold. I couldn't finish them. The lettuce wraps were delicious as always. Not sure I'd go back to this location. I'll stick to Kingsway.

I brought my husband and son here today for dinner, it was our first time at this Moxies location. Our server Damion was very friendly and provided good service. I had the Prawn Thai Curry Laksa which had mushrooms. I am not allergic to mushrooms, but I didn’t want them in my meal. Hats off to chef John who was very understanding and personally came to our table and explained the sauce had mushrooms but would do their best to take out as much of the mushrooms as possible. I told chef John it wasn’t a big deal but when I got my meal there were no mushrooms present and to top it off he ran our meal to our table. To us, this was excellent service as we know how busy it can be in the kitchen. We thank both our server Damion and chef John for making our experience memorable and we will be back to this location!

This was an interesting experience. No one asked if I was celebrating an occasion, and it was my birthday. They didn’t offer a high chair. They offered a stand for the car seat, which was weird. How can the baby eat properly.. the kids' menu was not flexible, especially for substitutions. The service was slow, and when I say slow, we waited 40 to 45 mins for our food and 15 to 20 mins for drinks.. they weren't even busy (no more than 8 tables). The drinks took forever to come, and they served our appetizer with our main course - I've never seen this before. I also ordered a second drink, and it took another 15 to 20 minutes. The steak had no salt. As I took the first bite, I regretted going there. I just didn't expect the food to be that bland and the slow service.

This is a delayed response, which I Apologize for. What was Amazing about location. This St. Albert Edmonton Moxie's take time to listen to customers and make it an Amazing experience. This is one of the best restaurants With world class service. Head Chief did a phenomenal job every time. I went to celebrate 4 family occasions, and the chiefs actually came out of the busy kitchen to ask for preferences and special needs. The team gave us honest suggestions, responded to all my questions. The team helped me plan my special day with all the specific diet needs while giving us suggestions with their years of experience. I would highly recommend this location, and I would like to Thank them for the Great service, patience and Care to make my day special and the food is AMAZING Bonnie

Had supper there Friday night. Wife ordered cob salad with salmon and I had chicken and ribs. Ribs and chicken were ok but could have been warmer (perhaps heat your plates. Cob salad did not st well with my wife. Was a bit taken back by the cleanliness (has definitely dropped off) , table near us had food particles quite visible and remained there throughout our meal, our table had something dried on it and I noticed when a couple left, the whither used their cloth napkins to wife table. On departing, the class door was totally in dire need of cleaning. Overall, was quite disappointed their departure from what we'd grown to expect from here. Will be quite some time before we return. $100+ that could have been spent more enjoyable someplace else.

Celebrated my husband's birthday tonight at Moxie's and caught the happy hour which was a bonus for us! The restaurant was clean and inviting, seats comfy and well lit. Ryland our server was friendly and attentive! He came and took our drink orders a few minutes after we sat down! Which was fantastic!! We started off with a few appies dry ribs and fish tacos YUM! YUM! We didn't have to wait too long! For our main course, we ordered steak frites, chicken pasta with mushroom sauce and burger and fries. All the portions were great! All the dishes was tasty hot and plated pleasantly. Because it was my husband's birthday he was given a complimentary dessert, a bit of brownie which was delicious! I almost forgot to take some pictures so some of the dishes we had started eating already! ‍♀️LOL We will definitely go again.

We hadn’t been here in 2 years or so, came for some appetizers and drinks on a Friday night. Prices have gone up and the food quality has gone way down, sadly as we really used to like Moxies. We had avocado and chips, which was on the summer menu, lacking salt and pretty bland overall. The cashew chicken lettuce wraps, which used to be our favourite, there were no cashews to be found, about 7 bites of chicken, mostly wontons and the iceberg lettuce was starting to brown. Beer was good! Wanted to leave this review to support the chef, the food could be SO much better and used to be way tastier. The prices are on par with competitors that have extraordinarily better food.

We shared 3 apples between 3 of us. First we had the Tuna sushi stack which was fresh and tasted great. Second, the chicken Lettuce wraps. These were very good, but there was very little chicken and a whole lot of chips ( not sure what to call them) mixed in. Came with half a head of iceberg Lettuce and a mayo dip. Tasty but not enough chicken. The third appy was 3 tiny little Tuna tacos. Though great tasting, they were small enough to eat with one bite. The service was good and fast. We went at lunch time and had no problem finding a table.

The food was excellent, plated nicely, and tasted really well. The server was nice but forgot to deliver forks and knives with food. She didn't seem that engaged with any tables or or others. Just basically did her thing, drops off food, and then leaves. Saw at one point she brought out ice cream plain to a table (in the lounge), and the guests were like, "Uh...are there toppins on this Vanilla Ice Cream?" She responded with, "Oh, yeah, ok...". No apologies, etc. She seemed very uninterested in what was going on, like the guests were being a burden to her. The manager on duty even seemed more engaged. She was briefly talking with tables, etc. And had a warm personality. whereas our server was about as warm as a dead fish.

Had dinner outside on the patio last night and had probably one of the best experiences I have had at a restaurant in a very long time! Our server Kessler is top notch with her PHENOMENAL customer service, positive attitude and great suggestions! All of the food and drinks tasted AMAZING and I would definitely come back to the patio when Kessler is working! (If there is more than one Kessler working at this location, ours was the one with the beautiful fiery red hair!)

Service was nice and fast . Food was awful. Gave me half a cup of cold coffee to start. While they brewed more. I would have liked just the fresh coffee .. They do not cut vegetables properly . My Cobb salad was..3 inches of a head of lettuce uncut . A very cold uncooked egg , tiny peace of protein which was a delitious peice of salmon .2 tiny peices of bacon and croutons and some feta cheese with 2 tiny tomatoes.. ridiculous price 22 dollars for this "lettuce salad? " wasn't even fresh lettuce . Most of it was yellow. "I asked does this lettuce come with a steal knife ?" Had to ask for utensils. Went here because it's very close to the v.i.p cinema. Cinema had better food. Will never go to a moxies ever again. Always. Disappointment

Ate here twice in one weekend. Friday, 10oz New York was cooked perfect to my preference (medium rare), vegetables were delicious. Sat in the bar area, music was a bit too loud, had to almost yell to talk to the person next to me. Went back for saturday lunch, had the mango chicken, cooked to prefection. rice side was also well prepared and presented. Sat on the restaurant side and found the restaurant to be quiet, noticed the bar music was also turned way down. Overall, an enjoyable experience. We will visit again

Atmosphere was great. Perfect volume and level of busyness. Great thing going here with high potential but did not deliver on the promise. The bad part, service was slow and several team members ran late for their afternoon meetings due to slow service. Asked twice about the chicken tenders sauce and still got it wrong when it arrived. The worst part... food had high potential with clean, fresh and tasty ingredients but delivery was poor. Poke bowl was swimming in sauce almost like cereal. Had to add rice to it at home to bring it back to balance. Presentation was nice on a few of the other dishes but chicken tenders not tender enough.

Staff were quick with getting us seated for our reservation and also very informative about their menu and our dietary restrictions. Food came in great portions, definitely gotta try the truffle fries just make sure you get some of the parm on it! The white chocolate brownie is also great to share as well between two people! Included is a photo of their medium rare sirloin Steak Frites! We got the chicken rigatoni, caesar salad, steak frites, and the white chocolate brownie with french vanilla ice cream and whipped cream topping. About $45-50 per person.

Last night came in for a pop and water waiting for my buddy what end up being only 15 and Ben the bartender his personality what can i say ten out of ten. Anyway I ask if I could pay the bill he said then I ask if I can tip him he still said no. Just his interactions with me. Letting me have a 3 dollar pop for free and how my experience with Ben. I now going come back there and spend more money. Not saying give away free stuff. Little actions like this goes a long way. Nice to see such amazing people like Ben in this world. Can't wait to come back now and next time I be a customer. So thank you for your hospitality I will definitely be letting my family and friends know.

We were in New Year's Eve, which is always challenging for staff. We were so lucky to have Erika M. for our server! She was absolutely awesome with our boisterous table of 6, with multiple food allergies to consider, and celebrating our daughter's 30th birthday as well! Best food around, incredible service, and fabulous atmosphere is why Moxie's is our special occasion destination!

Our server was very friendly and on top of everything, the food came pretty quick as well. The burger was hands down one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. It was juicy, and grilled to perfection. Has a nice crisp on the outside but was tender in the inside. A ton of flavor in it, a solid 5/5! About $23 for a burger and fries, not terrible price. All around a great experience besides the fact I was charged full price for mimosas even though it was happy hour. I somewhere to be so didn't bother bringing it up. But the service was very good.

Server was excellent, unfortunately the kitchen was terrible. Two people ordered the same beef dip, 1 asked for customized: don't toast bun, no horseradish, no garlic mayo but the other one was regular: horseradish, toasted and garlic mayo. The kitchen decided that I needed to have a plain tasteless beef dip. Paid no attention to the order! For added interest the ketchup had a thick "skin" on it. Good thing I don't use ketchup. By far it was the most disappointing Moxies meal ever! Next time I go to Moxies it will be at Kingsway! Their kitchen staff can follow directions!

I recently visited Moxies st Albert Trail and, unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory due to an incident of discrimination. The staff’s behavior was not in line with the professional and inclusive service that one would expect. This encounter made me uncomfortable and diminished the overall quality of service. I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of their background. I hope that by bringing this to light, MOXIES will take the necessary steps to ensure that all customers are welcomed and valued equally in the future.

We came here for my Dad's birthday at lunch on July 7, 2023. We decided to sit in the bar and although the food was great we continued to sit and wait between seeing our server. Very long tome frames in between each visit. When we finished our food, it took over 35 minutes for anyone to come by so we could get our bill. There were no servers around and our server seem to disappeared. The place was pretty dead with 2 tables Inside and about 4 outside.

It’s been awhile, but when I walked in there was an odour, musty kind of, needs a deep clean and really needs to be aired out?! Not appetizing. Table was sticky to the touch. Server was awesome, all staff was!! I ordered beef dip. The bun was rock hard, I dissected it but the beef was so rubbery and seemed under cooked, really couldn’t eat any of it. Fries were so over cooked but thank good for the awesome garlic dip. Management was apologetic, I will give it another try but not any time soon.

Food came ice cold. Was given some stupid excuse that the server spilled one dish so that’s why it took so long to come out. Waiting over 40 mins for food to come out not even during a busy time. Then when told server that the food was cold was given the evil eye from her and with the sucking of the teeth food was taken away and remade. After that everyone that walks by our table gives us a look. The manager doesn’t offer to comp a portion of our food they try to give us a 50$ card to come back. Bill is over 200$. Will never come back.

Having never been here before I was really surprised at their prices. Everything has gone up but there are no lunch specials and very little was under $20. I had the beef dip and though good the fries in a tiny little bowl certainly didn't fill me up and you had to ask for ketchup. Water glasses were not refilled and after being there two hours we had to ask and it took a long time for them to come back to us. We had to put our coats on to get the bill which took another twenty minutes and they weren't busy. Lots of parking and the atmosphere is nice.

Still not a fan of their female wait staff being required to wear heels, but that’s not my business.. just as a fellow service worker, I feel bad for their poor feet. ANYWAY, we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, they were very tasty! My boyfriend’s Sirloin had a bit of gristle, but overall not bad at all, and the veggies it came with were cooked perfectly. I had the veggie power bowl. A bit too much sauce, but it would have been really good otherwise. The Key Lime pie was outrageously delicious.. I will not be returning until it’s gone from the seasonal menu, as I fear for my ever growing waist line.

Came here for my love and I’s 4 year anniversary and I am so happy we chose this Moxie’s. Our server Macie was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I were 110% satisfied. The food and drinks were delicious and the decor of this restaurant is top notch. They were even extremely kind in offering us a key lime pie for our anniversary on the house! I will definitely coming back on a regular basis and recommend others come to this location.

Ooh OOOOH!!! Man if you want GOOD FOOD go here. I’m not even joking the food is actually something to try, and witness for yourself. I will say though you may have to give it a couple tries cause some of the cooks are not great, but the ones that are will have you coming back for more!! If I could I’d go here multiple times a week. I’m surprised they don’t recognize me yet

We had made reservations for 10 people the day after my daughter’s wedding. Immediately the bar manager Mackenzie approached our table to ask if there was a special occasion we told him we were celebrating the wedding and guests that were from out of town that were with us . We were treated fantastic from both Mackenzie and our waiter Amen . When our meal was done It Was Fantastic by the way !!!!! We were given free dessert. They went up and above to make sure we were taken care of and enjoyed our visit . I would highly recommend visiting the St Albert Rd location .

It had been a very long time since I went to a Moxies and now I know why. I went for lunch by myself and I haven't felt that forgotten about in a really long time. The server did the barest minimum of work and I was ignored for the better part of my lunch. I ordered the beef dip, which was a mistake, the beef was vastly undercooked and slathered with "gravy" to the point I had to eat it with a knife and fork. This is a pass for sure.

This place is a 5 out of 5 for me, honestly wish I could give it higher. I recently have been going through it with my ex wife leaving me. Moxies staff made me feel like a part of there family every time I go there. There entire menu is elite and will make you question you’re own mother if she even knew how to cook when you were a kid. As well the atmosphere was amazing I felt like i was in a 5 star Michelin restaurant owned by Gordon himself. So thank you to the whole moxies team for helping me get over my tough time as well give me the best meal I’ve ever had

  • Jerri Swenson

So to start our cocktails we fine. We had an appetizer and it was great. Then down hill from there. One dinner was delivered to the table and not the other. Then when my husbands dinner came of course mine was cold. They did offer to take mine back. So then he would wait for mind to return and his would be cold. So I eat a cold meal. They did take my meal off the bill and thank you. But then as we’re sitting there in the lounge just finishing up a mouse ran across the floor. What!!! Yes a mouse. If I could give a O I would.

We took my mother in law to this Moxies last night for her 70th Birthday. Our server (I believe her name was Brook? I'm sorry if that's wrong!) was so kind and sweet and attentive! The staff even signed a birthday card for her, which was a very nice touch! The food was amazing, I had the chipotle mango chicken and it was absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend Moxies St. Albert Trail to anyone! Thanks you guys for contributing to a wonderful evening for my mother in law and family!

Great member of the Moxies chain. We were part of a large group and the staff were excellent. My wife has severe allergies and they were able to give her a separate menu that caters to people with allergies. Food was great and portions are large. I'm not a fan of imposing a tip (18% in our case) but I can understand the need for large groups.

RAW SALMON! I just deleted my 5 star review. My wife and I really enjoyed going to Moxies in the past. Today we invited my mother. She ordered a Caesar salad with salmon. They completely forgot the salmon. When it finally arrived, it was RAW! And by the time the salmon came back again. We were all finished our meals and ready to go. I just expect more from Moxies! But it might be time to find a new favorite place...

Not adventurous on food but i said what the heck, so i tried the chipotle mango chicken and it was an epiphany for me to start delving into dishes I never had before. Whatever the chef did to that chicken was just genius, never had such delicious, other-worldly chicken before. Chef’s kiss mmmmwah! And our attendant Zelina made our dinner extra special as we celebrate our 12th yr anni. Baraboom barabing!

Wow what a great experience today. From the second we walked in we were greeted by a friendly hostess who immediately took us to a table outside. Our server Shay came and introduced herself to us and we had a nice 2 minute conversation before we ordered She took our drink orders, delivered them. then our food order. We had perfect service the whole time we were there The manager came by the table and said hi and made sure we had a great meal. When we left 3 people said good by and wished us a great day a fantastic dining experience

I went to Moxies today and when I sat down, I was given a happy hour menu. It was close to 5:00, so I told the waiter I'd order before 5:00 to meet the cut-off for happy hour. When the food came out, I was pretty sure it wasn't the happy hour menu because the portions were quite large. I brought this up with the waiter and they told me that there was no happy hour on the weekend. Yet, they had given me a happy hour menu, watched me order off it, and didn't say anything when I said I'd order before 5:00 to make the cut-off.

  • Logan Caputo

Went out for a date and the service was not the best I’ve ever had. The girl that was serving us came a little slow with the salad I had ordered to start with, which our mains came not more than 3 minutes after. My dates Alfredo was on par while my salmon was very dry and over cooked. Salad portion could have been much bigger seeing as it came on a medium plate, but I guess not many people eat salad like I do. Overall was an okay experience.

My daughter ordered through uber eats. It came missing one order. The packages were terrible. The servings are too small. The fries pieces like you can just count with your fingers. It did not look like it came from a restaurant. Looked like it came from a roadside eatery. So dissapointed because the prices are quite high. It was for my daughters birthday and it got ruined. Ended up ordering again from another restaurant. Never again moxies.

Update review: I had the saddest Caesar ever. Watery and tasted like no alcohol was in it. Messed up burger order, waitress didn't tell us about the specials when seating us. We got discounted are burgers but still it was disappointing. I felt like the staff was treating us differently because we requested different seating. Delicious food! Chicken nuggets are a kid fave! Tuna Poke bowl is huge, chicken Alfredo delicious too!

Little food for a big price with lousy service. The Moxies chain used to be good though it's been a while. I went in one evening, ordered a burger which was okay but over priced. Server largely ignored me and I had to approach someone in the kitchen to find my server. Only one other customer in the restaurant so not exactly swamped.

Food was fairly mediocre. Beef dip meat was fatty and tough. We ordered one with a gluten-free bun and the bun was horrible (and they gave us just half of the portion that the other beef dip had on the non-gluten bun). Burger was average for the price. Glaze for the steak bites/frites was tasty. Fries were basic. Not a really impressive food experience overall.

Want small portions for big $? Then this place is for you. Our "Cobb" salad was 70% iceberg lettuce (literally, they cut the head in half....). Garlic toast was so small I thought they were preparing it for a two-year-old. Service IS very good, as long as you don't mind servers who can cram 100 words into a 10-second monologue.

The place was full of flies. Besides constantly being interrupted by flies, the cocktails were very disappointing. I had a mango margarita that tasted like a screwball. Our waitress was amazing. I wish I could remember her name. I am sure there are not too many redheads working there. When I think of customer service, what she provides is it!! We left a very generous tip because it was well deserved! Our meals tasted great. I will say I think the Steak Frites is much much better than the 10oz strip. Maybe it was not quite cooked right, but still a great dinner and dining experience overall. We will be back.

The service was phenomenal. Staff were happy to be working again for sure. The meal however was another matter. I ordered sweet potato fries and chicken fingers. It was evident that both were refried as the fries were shrivelled up and greasy and the chicken was hard and shrivelled. I paid $63. (Including tip) for a meal for 2 people. It’s not the servers fault - it’s the kitchen! I would be ashamed to serve that kind of a meal.

We have not been to moxies for a couple years, so decided to come for a evening out. There was nothing wrong with the food, it was just ordinary (plain flavour). It was cooked properly and had a great presentation. The desserts that we ordered was dry and not worth having again. The service was pretty good and the restaurant was clean. It was pretty quiet while we were there.

Food came out super fast, I forgot how nice the patio is! We will definitely be coming back!! Thanks Kessler!

This place was decent, forgotten drinks a couple of times where she had to say what did you want again. The 10oz Angus wasn't cooked like I asked. The atmosphere was good to be in. The birthday dessert wasn't like we were told and found out when we brought it home. Not sure if I will be back after spending 300 for the night I thought it was going to be way better. The Kingsway location was better than this location.

Food would have been on point if it did arrive to the table cold. It was very obvious that the restaurant was under staffed during our visit. Long waits and empty drinks. Honestly dinner was unexpectedly impressive. Moxie's is a franchise so I figured the food would at least be ok but our dishes came out fast and they tasted like whoever was in the kitchen really cared about making the food. I had the beef dip and my wife had the chicken Alfredo and a Bellini. Would recommend this location for anyone looking for a great meal at a good price.

  • Monique Th

Good food, but pricier than felt appropriate. The kid's menu had a handful of decent choices. The kids were also provided crayons and a colouring/activity map. I ordered the rigatoni, and family ordered the calamari (spicy), tuna poke and power bowl with extra chicken. We went on a Sunday night and there wasn't any wait for a table. Lots of parking in the surrounding area.

Recently visited this place for lunch. Staff was hospitable. The environment had good ambience. Though quite busy but we were allocated space in no time. Servers were very friendly and professional. Food arrive in a short time. overall food presentation was cool and tasted excellent. I loved the steamed vegetables that were served with the food. Good place to visit again.

I mean this with respect because I enjoy visiting from time to time but...... I can accept no hot water in the bathrooms at a seedy bar in sketchville, but not at a restaurant with menu items over $40. It literally feels like sticking your hands in a snowbank and it's been ongoing for several visits. It's not comfortable and it can't be sanitary. Otherwise I like it here.

Good food. Professional staff. Comfortable ambiance. I had the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni which tastes spectacular! That's the meal in the photo. Shared some sweet potato fries and crispy fried ribs. All the food was great. Definitely will go back. Another measure, in my opinion, of a nice place is the state of their bathrooms. This one was above average.

Service was great. But slow. But not their fault. No one wants to work anymore after CERB. I had the beef dip. The 3 stars are for the food. It had some extra chewy chunks in it. Not the kids working there. The 3 other people I was with all had the blackened chicken burger. And the way they went on about it. It sounded like a 5 star. So get that

Really, really good food. The enchiladas are incredible. Quick, attentive service. My friend has a serious shellfish allergy so eating out can be, not dangerous but a little iffy, and the staff went out of their way to take her seriously and accommodate, even sending a manager to our table to discuss it. VERY appreciated. Will definitely return.

The service was decent, the waiter was extremely friendly and always there. The food was different story. For the price, you'd expect either a good portion or it to be divine in flavour and texture. It wasn't really either. I can see companies that definitely tried to change things up a little Covid and this one was not one for the better.

Was there this past Saturday with some friends for a drink and watch some of Oilers game. The ale was good. Ordered ribs, chicken wings and calamari. Food is decent, I was really disappointed with service the last time I went. I guess it’s hit and miss with service as I have previously had excellent service. The waitress didn’t let us know about the free kids desert, asked me if the other staff let me know when our food was coming, and was generally poor.
