I’ve never been here until today, I got recommended to try it out for myself to see if I wanted to join the monthly program. Before I did , I wanted to try out the machine first and see how their service works. The first man to help me pay was respectful , cool & helped me with what I needed. But I felt as I was ripped off, I payed $13.00 and I honestly feel like I got the same wash as everyone else. The hand dry was barely a minute & the co workers who dried only part of my car, dried almost nothing but just smeared water around. The vaccums were okay but had a timer & I couldn’t even get to everything on time. I felt as the co workers were looking at me like if I’m stealing that vacuum for myself, when I was barely there a near 6 minutes. I will not be going back to this place, I can honestly do what they do and for less at my own home.

Just moved into this area and based on reviews I decided to try Sharkys. I came at the busiest time on a Saturday to really test the operation. I was not disappointed. I arrived and there were 9 cars ahead of me, at 12.32p. At 12.48p it was my turn. Went very quickly. They are very organized. Raul, one of the managers, greeted me and explained my choices, explained that I could bring the car back for a discounted wash if it rained within a few days and gave me a small note with the URL to sign up for a loyalty club. Very no-nonsense but very professional and courteous. I pulled over after the wash and examined the car, nice job. The hand dry at the end was a nice touch. I will be back.

First off ,no respect and management. If your a hard clean worker, this isn't the place to work. I complained about the towels being dirty ,and was not fired but let go from my job. After more than one clients complained to me. Sad ,how others can care less . Sad,that there's nothing one can do about it when even the main boss stands behind all the crooked management there at the manchaca and oak hill locations. Sad,that even us the ones trying to work to support our families have to deal with this. Looking for legal service to look into this place. Got workers drinking and smoking marijuana while working and they let me go for trying to get new towels. Ridiculous.

It's your average self-wash car wash but it also has the option to let someone else wash your car. I am giving it an extra star for the following: more wash bays than ur avg car wash, specialized bays for those taller trucks and SUVs, the bays take a credit card that maxes out at $10 per swipe....yeah no more dropping quarters on wet cement, they still have change machines for those who need it AND the first one I've seen in Austin (finally) a dog washing "bay" but it is inside a little bldg in the middle of the complex. Nicely done Mr. Sharky's. For a service that people need and don't think a lot about, you really put some thought into this one.

Let me just say, that a lot of the negative reviews seem a bit odd; considering that every time I've gone, there hasn't been a problem. I regularly use the auto wash, and have had a pleasant experience every time. They usually have staff running the auto wash who brush the vehicle down before it enters the drive bay. There has always been someone on the other end after the air dry who towel drys the car pretty quickly. The car wash still has a new like feel to it, and the staff is pretty engaged in what they do. They also now have a membership for their washes, so that can save you a bit of money if you wash your car as often as I do.

Went here to wash my car and was using the vacuum. I had removed a couple magnets that are on the back of my car and put them on the ledge next to the vacuums so they could dry. I didn't think much of it, but an employee came around emptying trash and stuff and was the only person at the car wash at 8am. Then, when I went back to get the magnets, one of them was missing. When I went to ask the employee about it he got defensive and denied seeing them. Then when I pointed out he was the only other person there, he took out the magnet and threw it on the ground and walked away.

Cool spot if you're not in too big of a hurry. Usually pretty busy. They do have free vacuum use for you though. That is only until seven pm or so. Then vacuum's completely shut off until next morning. I definitely recommend using them if you are in the area. It just about splits the difference between IH-35 and mopac on slaughter and has grocery stores near as well as gas station pharmacy I mean pretty much everything so all in all is not a bad choice although you can find other washes for a few cents cheaper but literally just a few cents

  • Rita O

this place is amazing! I am so impressed with the service that you get there for a minimal fee you get your car washed and hand dried, then you can get free vacuums to use, plus if you take your pet they have a pet washing station where you can give your dog a bath and they provide the shampoo and the towels for your dogs so it's like a two for one deal, you're good to go! I highly suggest this place, every time I'm close to Manchaca & Slaughter I'm always going to get my car washed I don't care if it rains next day.

  • Brantley Hudson

Reasonably priced, well maintained, both automatic and manual wash are available. Free vacuums are a nice touch. At the vacuum station you can shampoo your carpet or add a fragrance. There are about 15-20 bays for car washing. There's even a dog wash station. Several onsite machines carry things that you might consider for your car (scents, cleaning products, etc). At the automatic part of the wash, there are several folks around to help maximize the experience. If you are in the area, give Mr Sharky's a try

This review speaks to the self-service bays not the drive-through wash which seems to get positive reviews. The facility is clean and spacious, but the water pressure in the self-service bays is seriously lacking. I could get the same pressure by putting my thumb over a garden hose. The vacuum while free, has a very short time limit and again, very poor suction power. The more expensive drive-through option may be fine but the self-wash bays and vacuums are barely average.

We were there at 7:45 with two dogs. Someone was finishing washing their dog. At 7:49 we’re told to leave. the timer for dog washes is 10 minutes for $10. could’ve spent $20 there but apparently the staff wanted to make sure they got to leave right at closing. stellar experience (sarcasm intended). We’ve told many people about the dog washing station but won’t going forward. we’ll take our dogs somewhere else. hopefully the kid that told us “no” has a great evening.

If you want to get a membership here its a nightmare. They never have stickers or papers to start your application. If you do you application you still need to find a way to get a sticker. After getting a sticker they do not charge your card and you will not get a car wash. They need customer service! Using there contact information on there website is no good! I try different times to get in contact with them and no reply.

  • Lisa Barrick

I love the personal touch in the beginning of getting the top layer of dirt off of your car and someone at the end to dry your car. If all you need to do is vacuum your car the bottom left button is free. Of course after a few minutes you have to start it again, but it's free. So I don't mind. Owner of Sharky's: When I need my car washed I always come here to get it cleaned. It's my favorite car wash.

  • Daniel Galvan

Everything was great until Today. There were 4 people running the carwash when I stopped by. I guess it was slow because one of them was running his truck through the automatic carwash. Anyway I went through the automatic carwash as well behind the employee's truck. When I got to the end I waited for over 10min for someone to towel dry my vehicle & no one ever did. I hope the owner sees this one day.

  • Bubba King

Used to drive past a lot of other car washes to come here but no more. Last week the bay on the far left just kept taking my quarters and the attendant took his sweet time coming to help. This week I pulled into a bay that only took credit cards because the coin slot was broken. The system is very slow dispensing soap so you will use most of your quarters waiting for the soap to start.

  • Dawn Burton

I’m happy to help make this happen for you.. ***RECOMMENDATION*** Display a Venmo/Cash APP QR CODE at the entrance and/or exit of the wash for tipping and split the tips amongst the workers! I bet they’d get 5 extra bucks an hour at least! The guys are great pre scrubbing at the start and hand drying at the end of the automatic car wash. I never have cash for a tip for these fellas.

  • Courtney Schlesinger

Great car wash drive-thru and free vacuums! The wait is less than other drive thrus. However I do not reccomend coming at night or near closing!! The homeless came up, and opended the vacuums and started stealing change. There was no one to stop them, and they kept staring at me like and standing behind me like they were going to rob me too! As a young female I felt very unsafe.

  • Jason Z70J

I always wash my 4Runner here because of the lack of rain and you are not suppose to wash at your house until water ban is lifted... I had a membership that I paid monthly but switched bank accounts and would like to get another because the guys that work the drive thru car wash were good guys and took care of me every time I used the wash... This is the ONLY CAR WASH I GO TO...

  • Felipe Comboni

This is the best place to wash and vacuum your car. Has a self wash area where you can wash it yourself or drive through the wash that works great. it offers a monthly membership that gives u a few perks to wash your car until times. Vacuums are free. It can get really crowded on weekends but overall is great. Also, there is a dog wash here that is very handy if you have dogs.

  • N0Cloud

I love going here to wash my car! The set up is very simple. I really like the self washing stations. You are able to just swipe your credit or debit card and go about your wash. No more need of putting in dollars or quarters! Although that is still an option if you choose not to use your credit or debit card. They also have free vacuums! Highly recommend this place!

  • nicholas gasper

This is the only carwash I go to now, you have to do your own interior, but it’s way less and the exterior turns out amazing. The vacuums are free if you go through the carwash, and if you go at the right time of day you end up getting out of there faster. The monthly deal is awesome too, unlimited washes for $15 a month. I prefer the $30 premium monthly though.

  • Martha York

Always a job well done when going through the auto car wash section. My fave spot to get car washed! I recommend you bring cash to tip the gentlemen as they do an amazing job pre and after car wash one scrubs in the beginning the other hand dries your cars are left so nice. So you would tip twice one in the beginning you can split the tip for.both of them.

  • Carlos Lopez

Good car wash for the money, manual scrub before auto wash, free vacuum, cheap monthly membership ... my only beef is with the guys drying after the wash tunnel, you can bet on having to dry the entire lower half of the car yourself. It’s just lack of effort, there is more than enough time for them to do it.... annoying! It would be 4-5 stars otherwise.

  • Christopher Verhoef

This is the only car wash I go to regularly. When you go to the drive through wash, they prewash your car before it goes in, which helps keeps all the automatic cleaning equipment from accumulating dirt. They got mud out of my wheel wells and such. And they hand dry your car after you come out the other side. It's pretty cheap too for the basic wash.

  • Daniel Ochoa

This is my go to car wash. They have 1 truck bay which is very wide and great if you have a lifted truck. Each bay accepts credit cards as well as cash. They have a drive thru wash in the back as well if you don't want to wash your car yourself. Very safe place to go and there's free vacuuming. Soap they use is good quality and thick.

  • Ragan Brock

Not only does the drive thru car wash scratch your car, but even with the $13 wash it still did a poor job and left my wheels just as dirty, if not questionably dirtier. Also, the attended guiding me into the tracks guided me right into scraping my wheels. Good job at being the first unpleasant car wash experience I’ve had.

  • Eddie Barrera

Self service stalls, vacuums or a good car wash with the scrubby things. There's usually staff on hand that will pre-soak and scrub the car before it goes into the wash and hand dry on the way out. They even have a pet wash available. Pretty sure I'm here once a month if not more. Never had a problem.

  • Denise Gray

Wow! You have to have an appointment to get the interior of your car washed. $30 later....the trunk was filthy and you have to pay an extra $40 for them to wash the seat. This place is definitely trying to work as little as possible for the most money they can get. Disappointed and will not return!

  • Jeremy Leake

Had an issue with self car wash credit card machine because it shows they charged me 10$ for each swipe. Staff member was helpful and explained that it's like a gas station, where it shows on your account a 10$ charge but that's not the real charge. That goes away and the real charge will show up

  • Faith Shaw

They had an old washing machine in the drive-thru for the washing area. It was $13.00 for the deluxe and I felt like my car got the same wash as everyone else who chose the lower ones. There is no free vac like other places I have been too, I’ve paid half the price and was able to get free vac!!!

  • Cameron Harmon

Self-service wash with free vacumns. $7 for a quick automatic exterior wash! Can't beat it if your car needs a quick shine. The employees also spray and brush your car before it goes into the auto-wash, and hand dry after. Good and cheap, but definitely NOT a Full Service Car-wash and Detailer.

  • Ram G

I like having my car washed. Almost everyday and with their program of 29.99 a month. Its great they have free vaccuum and they handwash your car before going in the wash tunnel. It sure beat paying 8.99 for a single car wash you can even take it once a day literaly $1 per carwash what a deal

  • Rosario Astranez

Good value because the vacuums are complimentary. I wash my cars there on a regular basis then vacuum the interior thoroughly. This place can get packed on some days so I make it a point to go at an off peak time so I can take extra care in the self- service wash on all my cars and trucks.

  • Mr. Sir

I have a monthly car wash plan. Sign up for it guys. Heck, just going back two days in a row already pays for itself. I usually have my car washed two to three times a week. It just depends on how dirty my car gets. The main guy that runs this location is a really nice guy.

  • Michael

Okay, the machine gave quarters for a $20. That alone is cool. But then there's this new feature in the DIY car wash, to air-dry your car with a blower. It sucked. (No pun needed.) Free vacuums were nice. Keep that up. And fix the broken ones (maybe half of them), please.

  • Pete Hernandez

$13 bucks gets the car clean without a doubt ! But the downside is your rims don’t the machine is lacking on that part Vacuums could use better suctioning They start off strong then slowly die down Other than that the employees are great just a couple things to work on

  • Melanie Morris

I used the dog wash for my little yorkie and it worked great! The only thing I would watch out for is, if you use a credit card to pay, make sure to turn the dial on the machine to "Stop" when you are finished because it will continue to add time and charge your card.

  • old account

Dog wash is dope but website says $12 and it’s definitely not… it’s $12 PER $15 minutes. I have 2 dogs and it takes upwards of 45 minutes. There’s no shampoo or towels so bring your own. You’re also being charged to clean up after yourself so keep that in mind…

  • Daniel Santos

This is my favorite self serve car wash in town. The free vacuums is definitely a great perk. All the wash options always work and the staff does a great job of keeping the property clean. It would be awesome if they offered some type of rewards program …

  • Cody Braddock

I wasn't really impressed with this place. The vacuums are free, but don't work really well. The car wash itself was pretty old and did a mediocre job at best. It is good if you want to get out and wash your car by hand at one of the stations available.

  • Julie weilnau

Super quick, efficient and cheap! 13 for the top of the line package it's a mixture of someone hand washing as you go into a car wash then some hand drying your car. Then you can pull straight into a vacuum lane and vacuum out your own car for free.

  • Zindel Lopez

Washing your car gets a little pricey having to add money constantly. But it's made up I guess by them having free vacuum services. Not bad for self serving place. Haven't paid for them to clean the car but it seems like they do a good job at it.

  • Anny

I've only used their automatic car wash, not the self service bays. I like how they pre-wash the front and back end of your vehicle before it enters the wash bay, then hand towel dry your car after the dryers. My favorite car wash in Austin!

  • Patricia Thornton

Great deal for the money! People prep your car with mops and soapy water before you go thru the car wash. It comes out very clean and the vacuums are free. Prices run from about $7 for basic to $12 or $14 for deluxe. Something like that.

  • Miguel Zaldivar

I did the $14 wash which includes a pre-rinse of water then covered in soap. Hand dried afterwards. There was a line, but not as long as other places. Plus, it went by quickly. I was happy with the results as my car looked brand new.

  • Jessica Gonzales

My grandson just loves the name Sharky's, but I love them scrub before going into the wash tunnel. The staff that dry the vehicle are so fast and make my car shine. Fantastic job guys. It's all thumbs-up from me and my grandson. !!

  • Kimberly Reed

Car wash is ok. Dog was is terrible. Make sure you find the attendant and have him turn the tiny window unit down down down or it's a sauna for you while you wash. Also it would be nice to know what kind of soaps they use.

  • Randall Dugger

Clean and everything worked properly, but I would like a little more pressure on the wand during the "soap" setting. Edit: I upped this to five stars! I went another day and used a different bay and the pressure was fine!!

  • Andrew Brown

I love bringing my car here and washing it myself. The only issue I have is that most of the machines card reader don't work. Literally my only beef. I love this place. Just brings quarters or cash that you can break.

  • Angela Payne

This place use to be great. Now it's like getting a first draft done. Twice I've had to ask to go through the car wash a second time and every time I have to touch up at home. I'm going to find a new place. Too bad.

  • Antone Alvarez

For now y'all get 1 star, cause your bay charged me $10 After swiping my card once, hope y'all fix it. Already got sent to voice mail 3×. Thanks for the free vacuum with no suction also. Y'all better than this.

  • Stacia R

Credit card able self service, free vacuums, and the drive thru is great. They thoroughly pre scrub your car by hand then hand dry after the dryer. Nice guys, hard workers. Only place I wash my car south.

  • S H

Affordable car wash. They prep car before entering wash and towel dry car after exiting. Free self-serve vacuums! Get a membership to receive unlimited washes for one car for a monthly fee. Great deal!

  • Christina Lugo

Very unsatisfied. The towels they used left dirty streaks on windows and sides of my car. Did not do a good job scrubbing my car before entering wash. Poor service. I do not recommend this location.,

  • Angie Ortiz

My car always looks amazing when I leave here. I recently needed to make some adjustments to my monthly car wash and David was helpful, polite, and answered all my questions. Great customer service.

  • Charles Frederick

A bit on the expensive side, but everthing that I used worked without fail. They exchange $1,$5,$10,$20 for quarters, and take credit. You can even use your bills at the selector knob while washing.

  • Judy

Seems like a decent car wash. While the washing services appear to be 24/7. There are tiny signs on the vacuums saying they’re closed by 7 PM. Would’ve been nice if that was advertised somewhere.

  • Savannah R

I love the fact that the guys will Pre Scrub your car while your in line to get your car washed! Definitely a great place to get your car washed! They even dry it off for you at the end as well!

  • Scott O Pray

I was in around 10pm on Tuesday- 2/22/2022 at stall #8, I put in $5.00 and nothing worked. I then went to stall #2. That worked fine. Can you please reimburse my $5.00. Big Red Truck. Scott Pray

  • Marlene Vega

Great place but you better be there to pay for a wash to use their vacs. If not you will be asked to pay or no service. Which makes sense just the approach shouldn’t be that confrontational!

  • Colin Allen

This place is one of my favorites in Austin. Always clean, very spacious and all the different features in the self service area always work properly. The hand held air dryer is a big bonus!

  • Lisa Moffa

Love the drive thru carwash, they have attendants that help by giving it a good scrub and hand drying. I always tip them. If I need to clean the inside they have plenty of vacuum stations.

  • Andrew Cook

Wash area was really nice, vacuums were a little weak. Couldn’t find a spot to get any cloths or cleaning materials for inside. Will definitely go back if I need an external wash though.

  • Spyder Byte

Everything works, staff on site, clean, free vacuum. Made the mistake of trying the Carwash on S. 1st never again. This place is so much better, and plus you don't get ripped off.

  • Jason L

I love this place. It has a $19.99 monthly membership. Unlimited car wash, Free vacuuming. It also has a pet spa So you can get your pet groomed while getting your car detailed!

  • Frank The Tank

  • Jaime Hernandez

Paid $1.50 for a car wash didn’t take long but checked my bank statement and this placed charged me $10 like what?? Avoid this place if you use your card be cautious

  • Erica Perez

Such hard workers to kick start our car wash. always a good experience here. I feel bad when I forget cash to tip because I usually go spur of the moment. …

  • TokyoMiku39 (Christian Charles)

I used to come here a lot to wash my car since it's down the street but now it costs more than other self car washes and never has soap. No longer coming here.

  • Vanessa Flores

Love coming here to get my car washed they always do a great job and are very helpful. I love the automatic car wash, for a busy single parent it's the best.

  • Celina Ybarra

I really like this car wash, the attendants are friendly, and my car is leaves clean every time. Plus, I also use their free vacuum; very convenient.

  • Austincitizen

Doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the one at WM Cannon & Brodie Rd has. & Car was still dirty, especially the windshield and back window.

  • Alexis M. Quintanilla

I washed my car here and it was ok experience everything worked but the time to wash is very short so you better hurry when your washing your car.

  • Rohit R

Car wash is good. The attendant wiped down the windows and doors thoroughly to make sure everything was nice and clean. Definitely recommend it!!

  • Taker of the Road less Traveled

  • Pauline E. Anton

Clean location and all the equipment was working. Used the drive thru, great staff to prep the car, then wipe it down to dry.

Washing you car with freedom but slightly expensive. Washing a bigger car can cost $27 and smaller car can cost about $17.00
