Now, Mrs B is a character, no doubt about that. She’s extremely busy, an excellent seamstress and attached to her sewing machine. We always go to her for alterations and she’s saved our curtains and jeans numerous times. You’ll get direct answers and an efficient service from her at a great price.

Went for a bridesmaids dress altering. Was happy with the finished article but the service was much to be desired I am afraid. I thought supporting my local high street would have been a good thing but I won’t go back. Found the experience very awkward and felt that I wasn’t welcome.

Called in here today for knitting pattern/wool and some advice. Was told they know nothing about knitting so couldn’t give me any advice. Mrs Bobbins herself was extremely unhelpful and proceeded to use her sewing machine whilst the man

Mrs Bobbins has made numerous outfits for me and altered some of my existing clothing. Her shop is excellent too with a whole variety of crafting goodies and lots of material for dress making etc. Very good rates. Would highly recommend.

We had 3 bridesmaid dresses adjusted. I was told for my sister back adjusting and loops putting in with lace up ribbon it would be £25 then it would be no more than £20 for it to be taken up.

Appalling service!!! Rude, abrupt & disrespect. Very poor customer service indeed. Quite expensive too. I wouldn't use Mrs Bobbins again & definitely wouldn't recommend to my friends & family

I just collected a dress, had 4 inches taken up off of hem. Sadly its about an inch longer at the front than the back! Luckily it's a maxi dress so hopefully no one will notice.

Sold my student daughter and her friend enough material to make a quilt cover each for a sleeveless shift dress. Very disappointing . Very expensive and no stock range.

Mrs Bobbins is the most miserable, unhelpful and unfriendly person I have ever met. Maybe someone should explain the term "good customer service"to her!

Very unwelcoming and rude, my Mum actually received an eye roll! Was very dismissive about the request and Mum felt belittled. We won't be returning!!
