Good Evening Austin TX! Long time no share.... Thanks to a filthy, low life thief broke my car window & stole my cell phone. To be forced to suffer such vile beings... isn't fair to those of us who not only work For Our Own, in my case...... New Memories....Taken, AGAIN!!! However: By GOD'S GRACE, Look At The New Memories! When I tell you I'm being denied My Civil Rights In The Most Anguished Way, & Live With Fear & Hopelessness....most days; God has Given Me The Gift Of His Love & Beauty. I took these Awe Inspired Pictures, & Witnessed The Vivid Pink, Purples, Oranges.....Ahhh! I hope & pray you take "The Time" to go see such beauty ("With Someone You Love!")❤️‍ Tomorrow, the next day.... don't wait because: Time Waits For No One. None of us know: when our Time Is Up! Mueller stands as a shining example of thoughtful urban planning and development in Austin. Once the site of Robert Mueller Municipal Airport, it has been transformed into a vibrant urban village. The area boasts a mix of residential, commercial, and public spaces, all interwoven with a network of parks and greenways. The green spaces in Mueller are particularly noteworthy. They serve as gathering spots for community events, morning jogs, and relaxed weekend picnics. The community's dedication to sustainability is evident in its eco-friendly designs, including rain gardens and native landscaping. Shopping and dining options are plentiful, with a diverse range of establishments catering to both locals and visitors. Whether you're in the mood for gourmet cuisine or quick bites, Mueller has something to offer. In summary, Mueller is not just a residential area; it's a community built with the environment and residents in mind. It's a testament to Austin's forward-thinking approach to urban development and is definitely worth a visit.

Love, LOVE this park. The long trail around the rest of mueller is, in my opinion, the best part about mueller. It’s amazing and has quickly become my favorite place to de-stress in Austin. Solo walks are great here and it’s nice to be alone in the quiet but it’s also a great place to connect with friends on a good walk. It includes a small community orchard(!) along the way, tranquil marshy ponds and plenty of doggy bag stations and trash cans so that it stays clean. it is hardly ever crowded once you get out further away from the inner trail around the lake. I have spotted many forms of wildlife here and it’s always interesting to observe the life happening around you!! The inner park with the big lake is also nice but tends to get busy even in hotter weather. It’s a great place to connect with your community and enjoy being outside. There are also restaurants and entertainment close by. Overall I would recommend giving mueller a try!

Big park connected to walking trails throughout the whole development. The man-made lake is chill. Great place to walk to or around as is the neighborhood surrounding it with many smaller parks. There are restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and other businesses adjacent to the park itself as well as food trucks. Some free parking at the hangar and near the children's science museum.
Playground
Playgrounds are near the children's science museum as well as in smaller parks surrounding the main park if you get to know the area.
Restrooms
Lots of porta potties at the hangar, and if you're reasonably civil you can use one at a coffee shop or restaurant. There is a bona fide restroom area near the children's science museum.
Dog-friendliness
Clean up please. There are bag dispensaries all around.
Picnic area
Many.

1st Time - Absolutely beautiful! The landscaping, nature, waterway, etc., all make for an open, leisurely, relaxing day in the park. I think it would be a wonderful place to picnic too! I just hope it doesn't become overrun and overcrowded like Zilker Park is today. IMHO, Zilker no longer holds the same ambience it once did. It's no longer a peaceful place. I'm a native Austinite. Be aware that because of the Thinkery (great place for kids), and other nearby shops and restaurants, you may have to walk a bit. Free parking is limited, so be prepared to pay for parking. It's worth it. IMPORTANT: For the summer, do NOT go at peak heat times. Go early or around sundown. Enjoy!

  • Russ Chidester

A good spot, as described by others. But there are some real issues: mainly the lack of maintenance and cleanup, and overcrowding in the area. I visited with my kids early on a Sunday to find trash strewn around the playground, including a case of empty beer bottles on one of the play sets, a strong urine odor, one slide boarded up like an abandoned site, and the public restrooms looking horrible and smelling like an open pit sewer. For all the money that is coming into this area from taxes and business revenues, some very basic maintenance and cleanup should be a bare minimum necessity.

If you have recently moved to Austin or staying in Downtown on a temporary visit then it's a must see location in Austin. A well maintained park with Ducks and Pigeon in their natural environment looks beautiful. There's an walk stroll along the lake with a shade to spend a good family time. There's also a children's park near the lake for kids. Parkings are always crowded in the weekend. Paid parking is available near the shores Mon-Sat. Neat Restroom is located in the parking area.#HappyVisiting

This was the first time we visited the park, now that it finally cooled down to 92 degrees. It's a really lovely park for a stroll, a picnic, and to bring your dog friend along with you. The sunset is beautiful and the overfed ducks are not afraid of anything or anyone. We will definitely be back.
Dog-friendliness
Dogs are a plenty, on a leash a must
Picnic area
Plenty of cutesy landscaped locations to lay down a blanket or to set up a low table with pillow seats.

  • Jayd Aleman

I’ve frequented this park since before mueller was even fully developed to what it is now. Today was the last time. It is so incredibly sad to see how downhill this park has gone. My children used to look forward to going to the “dragon park” but now it sits completely covered in bird feces with loads of garbage everywhere. It is complete filth. Half of the play scape is completely inoperable and broken creating a safety hazard. The city has really let this one go.

  • Zachary Overton

One of my favorite Austin park locations! I currently live about 10 minutes from here and it a great place to walk, run, meditate, play sports, etc. Also a great variety of restaurants around this location. Halcyon is a great coffee shop to just chill. Even in the season of Coronavirus. Be cautious and safe of course, follow you city and county guidelines but if your able to go please take some time to go out and just walk and enjoy !

  • Apriljean Atwood

Fish never look healthy pulling them out of the water and the turtles are in all the places looking for your bait more than the fish. Be prepared for the swarm? Flock? Gaggle? Of turtles to follow you all around the lake. Perfect place to people watch though. ***edit*** fish are much healthier looking now
Playground
Looks like the kids would have fun
Restrooms
Take your own toilet paper and lots of sanitizer

  • Cliff Currie

Summary: great venue for the whole family. Play with the ducks, play ground, live music Details: The only downside I can see to this location is the parking situation during an event or busy day. Parking is inexpensive but limited if a lot of folks show up. Power Tip: If you have a Thinkery membership, park in the parking garage and get your parking validated if you spend some time in the Thinkery first.

  • Alok Chopra

Beautiful park and pond especially in the evening the view of sunset is gorgeous. Plenty of open space for kids and pets to play. Benches around the path and seating/ steps next to the water so sit and take in the views. Ducks are trained to expect food. Close to food eating options or the Thinkery which is great for kids. Parking is a hit or miss. All in all a good place to spend an evening

  • Arul vijayan

Overall very good experience, great community center park. Lots of space and playgrounds for the kids. lot of places for pet walking and grooming. Very good place to hold family or office events, has a big stage area for gatherings around the lake.. We have seen lot of music parties going and people were enjoying day out completely . Thinkery museum is close by and it’s experience for kids

  • Elaine Burgess

Always enjoy walking the dog there and enjoying the various events. Very family-friendly without being overwhelmed by children. They seem to be very content with the play area. I like going at sunset, seems to be a popular dating place, very chill vibe. Lots and lots of space without looking barren, even an additional waterfall for a quite area. Love this place! Pics from sunrise

  • Tex Hecho

This place has been a place I love here was the first time I had the most beautiful moments with the most beautiful woman this place we'd walk talk bout our past laugh and say one time a tear it two this place will live in my heart forever wish I could say the same bout her but this will be a place you can remember and cherish forever even if that lost love became lost again...

  • Nat Ca (naca)

Very nice spot! Could be cleaner… seen a lot of trash around, but overall we had a nice time. *Bathrooms were not very clean and parking it limited! This place gets packed!
Playground
Nice playground but trash was laying around.
Restrooms
Not very clean!
Dog-friendliness
A lot of dogs around and plenty of space for them to run!

  • Md Yasin Kabir

Must visit place in Austin. Don't forget to grab some bird feeda before heading there. The birds are not shy or afraid there, neigher the squirles or ducks or turtles. I love watching those birds. An amazing place for kids. Worth every minutes. Besides It's a great place to take pictures, have a walk or just enjoy the activities of the people.

  • Lisa Cerutti

My kids and I loved stopping here after visiting The Thinkery. They were delighted by Nessie and love the playground equipment, although some of it was in need of repair. The walking path and lake were beautiful. My kids had fun watching the ducks and seeing the signs of springtime in Austin. We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

  • shibajee hota

One of the best hanging place in Austin..you can come here and spend some quality Time with family and friends. Very good for Small kids. You see lot of ducks, turtles in lake. Good place to spend couple of hours. There are nice restaurants around this place. Parking near lake is free by limited. You may wait for some time to get a parking.

  • Liam

Mueller Lake Park is a nice green space in Northeast Austin. I recently went here for the Paper Lantern Festival earlier this month. The park was able to hold this event without it getting too overcrowded. I would like to come visit again if I'm ever in the area. Looks like a good fishing spot judging from the bass jumping out of the water.

  • Julia Goff

Beautifully landscaped park near downtown and in Mueller's activity area. A pleasant way to pass time for all ages. Includes trails, lake, scenic pergola, large dragon sculpture, large and modern playground, restrooms, reasonable parking options, and is next to restaurants, shops, cinema, and The Thinkery (something of a children's museum).

  • Alison McClory

Cute local park with a pond full of ducks and geese. Nice mature shade trees and walking paths. Something about the vibe was off though. Can't really put my finger on it.
Dog-friendliness
Took our 4 Havanese and our Cockatoo. Lots of shade to hang out with the critters.
Picnic area
Very nice concrete picnic tables. Solid.

  • Benjamin Black

Nice, scenic place to relax for a bit. I went here for the farmer's market (Sundays, 10am-2pm) and it was awesome. My wife and I snagged some treats for our dogs from one of the stalls, some ginger beer, and some extremely huge cookies. Definitely coming back here, as it's one of the best farmer's markets I've been to around Austin.

  • Kerry Arrant

This is a very pleasant park. I found the sttroll the lake relaxing. There were a few groups of people dispersed around enjoying the amenities. Children playing by the water and on the playground.
Playground
There is enough shade to make the park useful. Children were playing around and enjoyed their time.

  • E J San

Pleasant family friendly park. Lots of ducks. Saw monk parakeets in the summer. They seem gone during the winter. Great place for a chat with a friend and near shops and restaurants. Finding a free parking space can be tricky if you haven't been before because of how popular it is. Could use some trash pick up

  • Marilyn McNeely

Lovely park with lot of space! My dog loves coming here and so do I! There are food trucks on one side and an excellent farmers market on Sunday. The other end of the park has a gated playground and groovy sculpture. Right next the the Thinkery and some delicious eateries! Plenty of picnic tables and ducks.

  • Maria Guerra

Beautiful Park it has a Playground, Picnic area, great green area with shadow for grounding. You can enjoy amazing ice cream as near by there's a shop named Licks. Dark chocolate made with coconut milk was my favorite, there's also delicious goat milk ice cream with honey and beets with mint to name a few.

  • Greg Burrow

Beautiful park with lots of ambiance! I filmed a video of Wonder Woman reading a chapter of the newest Wonder Woman young adult novel for virtual content for CASA Superhero Run there. You can also generally find yoga practitioners, and physical trainers using the park as a meetup location to train.

  • DeVo S.

Fantastic selection of cowboy boots! Literally hundreds of boots to choose from. They also have great hats and a small selection of western wear as well. This place is expensive but high quality. Friendly staff, very western feel. Would recommend stopping by if uour in the market for western wear

  • Charlotte Garza

This park is always well maintained and full of life. It's a great place to visit with the family or alone. I love to bring my dogs here for their walks. The area is not only beautiful but also has all the amenities you might need. The farmers market on the weekend is a must-see if you can.

  • Mike T

Love this place! I don’t visit Mexico often, but when I do I always make it a point to stop by this park. Lots of lovely street performers and vendors. The restrooms are impressively well maintained. Just make sure you don’t park here after the sun goes down if you enjoy your belongings.

  • Astra Elane (The Gods Themselves)

Beautiful, futuristic feeling park with lots of open space for sun worshippers and plenty of trees for the sensitive types. A beautiful lake in the center with ducks and turtles.
Dog-friendliness
Dogs ok on a leash. Definitely dog friendly but not a bunch of dogs running around.

  • Joshua Dugan

My wife and I got married here under the arches. It was a beautiful small ceremony. Everyone who walked by was so encouraging and supportive and when we kissed it seemed as if everyone in the park cheered. The staff was excellent and they were so nice and welcoming of our ideas!

  • Alicia Alba

Incredible park to go to whether it’s for the kids for teens or adults there’s something for everyone to do from taking a walk admiring the ducks the lake having coffee out there for one of the restaurants it’s as fun as you want it to be or as romantic! Highly recommend!

  • Megan Keith

Playground needs some serious work. This is a high traffic playground and it’s not like Mueller or the city doesn’t have the cash to do repairs. The yellow slide has been cracked for at least 6 months and it’s only a matter of time before a kid rips their leg open on it.

  • Grace Marshall

Cute park with shaded playing area and convenient shopping. Right next to the Thinker and Farmers market on the weekend. Parking was not a giant nightmare, but fairly busy. Nice area with splash pad/play fountains to cool off with the kiddos in right around the corner.

  • Kelly Dodds

Great place to jog, walk dogs, or bring kids. A paved trail wraps around the "lake," and there's a nice playground. The park also hosts lots of community events, and there are several restaurants, retail shops, the children's museum, and other businesses nearby.

  • Jessica Tran

Absolutely beautiful area to hang out with family and friends. Also a big plus being walking distance from the farmers market and food trucks. Parking can get a bit hard to find but once you get a spot there are many places to explore within walking distance.

  • Dean Clark

Under-maintained poorly designed urban park with an overpopulation of turtles, grackles and invasive muscovy ducks. The water is polluted and the grass and sidewalks are pretty messy. The muscovy ducks are sometimes aggressive so stay with your kids closely.

  • Moonlight

I love this park it is always well maintained. It's a great place to visit with the family or alone. The area is not only beautiful but also has all the amenities you might need.I really recommend this for anyone who loves walking and enjoying the outdoors.

  • DontSayHurry

Great place for the whole family. You can take some beautiful family pictures, fish, play sports, yoga, and just enjoy the weather. Maybe curl up with a good book while the kids play in the park. Also visit the farmer's markets on Wednesday or Saturday!

  • Jesse De Los Santos

It's a big space with ponds, playground equipment, picnic tables, and a couple of pavilions. Nearby, there are some food trucks, and an eating area, that offer a variety of foods. One of the trucks even sells snow cones, which are great in the summer.

  • Amruta Ponkshe

Huge ground area. Best place for kids/young children because they can play with balls. Families can enjoy during winter season and good place for taking Vitamin D (Sun soaking) and view Lake and its surroundings. Ample parking space available.

Loved this park so much that I came twice in one day! Great vibes, feels super safe, bigger than you might think but not overwhelming. The neighborhood around it is also fun to explore. Easy to spend 30 minutes to an hour (or more) here!

  • Kimarie Kresan

I love this park! It's one of my favorites in Austin. Beautifully landscaped, lots of shade, and always immaculately clean. Plenty of room for frisbee, soccer, or flying kites, and the walking trail around the lake is very pleasant.

We love bringing our son here. Great on weekends. Come early if you want good parking. The ducks are super. Lots of dogs on walks and activities happening all the time. Nice playground across from Halcyon Coffee and the Thinkery.

  • Ricka

Mueller Lake Parke is beautiful and just the perfect size. There are benches and picnic tables conveniently located throughout the park. On the weekends parking near the playground can be full.

  • Karen Thomas

This is our favorite park! The small lake and trails all around make mom happy and the ducks and playground make toddlers happy. The free parking "for the park only" is a nice amenity as well.

  • Esmail Khalili

Brilliant urban park and greenbelt. You can even catch and release fish in the many ponds. Perfect for a jog/walk or picnic, and shopping, movies and food/drink are just a short walk away.

Nice playground with morning shade, but some deferred maintenance on the most exciting slide makes this one less great for the older children.

Underrated in my opinion. Don’t hear enough about this park until I was visiting a friend in the area. Good size, plenty to do and peaceful.
