No stars. Zero. This has to be the most unprofessional, uncourteous offices of all. For a parking ticket violation in Fulton Co, ( faulty ticket vending machine), but it still is my mistake, so did not contest it and paid the fine of $40, days in advance online, but I still got a court notice in the mail to appear which was baffling. The ticket was generated a week after the paid date and the case was still open. If you pay a ticket, the issue is closed ( common sense it is). To start with, a parking ticket violation is not on the list of mandatory court appearances at all. I very well knew that it must be a technical error that issued a court appearance. So I called the court, explained the situation, the lady that I spoke to insisted that I still need to visit the court, she said the judge wants to see me ( did not make any sense at all). For what? It was not DUI, hit and run, speeding/ jumping a signal even for it to require a court appearance as per law. Doesn't the court have more serious things to worry about? And it's the duty of the officer, Ms. Rashida Davis, ( the notice has her name on it) to check if the notice to appear is really necessary in the first place . But She did not. I was sure that this was a glitch, but was even more certain that they will come after me if I don't attend the court saying I failed to appear and they can very well turn it into a bigger offense conveniently covering up their irresponsibility and ineptitude. So on a Monday morning, I had to be there. I live about 50 miles away from the Municipal court of ATL, had to go in there with my one year old, drive time of 1.5 hrs each way. I finally reported to the court, the judge wasn't there, the lady at the front just glanced at my notice and simply said you are free to go. I was so furious, but yet managed to politely ask her why I was made to report to the court then. She simply said : " Oh it must be an error ". I was distraught at her nonchalant response. They wasted my time, I had to take off from work, my baby was uncomfortablely crying pretty much all trip. What an inconvenience to the public and a blatant MISUSE OF AUTHORITY. If a ticket had been paid off, it means you are pleading guilty and the case is closed. The court not only wasted my time, but also its time as well. They need to take their jobs seriously and not bring disrepute to the honorable court by their tardiness. But who can reprimand the people there?, unfortunately nobody. They technically have to compensate me for my time, inconvenience caused, fuel, parking ticket, but the lady simply said : " You are free to go, next one please". Not even an apology, high handed lordly behavior, please remember that you work in/for the system, you don't own it. You are not a monarch. Poor service, no courtesy, incompetent, covering up their mistakes. Irresponsible, insolent bunch. No wonder, the place has a less than 2 star rating. DO NOT COVER UP YOUR MISTAKES.

This is by far the worse and most discombobulated courthouse! To start, you can't call and speak to anyone during operating hours. If you do reach someone, no information given is concrete, solely speculation and possibilities. In person at the court is even worse. From the moment you walk through the front door you're ordered to the metal detectors & spoken to like cattle, by civilian employees. Once at the metal detectors, a group of sworn officers, who spend most of their time laughing & engaging in small talk amongst each other, are completely out of service to the public. Everyone is walking around enforcing mask compliance regardless if they themselves are in compliance. The information booth has a man planted behind a COVID-proof-glass mumbling through a mask directions to different courtrooms. The court clerk responsible for processing continuance request isn't phased by you standing at her window, your questions and or concerns are met with no sense of urgency. Her nails are 9 inches long and she's unmoved by your sense of urgency. The elevators that take goes from 1st to 3rd floor, takes 10 to 15 minutes in-between stops. Upon getting off on the 3rd floor and walking into courtroom 3A; myself and 3 other people were stopped by an over- zealous officer who sounded like his trachea was in distress, started grilling us on what's allowed and not allowed in the courtroom. He advised us on how we should wear our clothing, how we should go about putting our phones on silent, otherwise we would face jailtime, contempt of court, etc. He then herded us into the courtroom pointing to us individually and directing us where to sit. The solicitor is walking around like a run-way model. She's more concerned with you being able to whisper your case into a guilty plea. She's not interested in reducing or negotiating a fair outcome. Judge Ward spent 20 minutes preaching to a calm, collective, and very much respectable audience the importance of respect, morals, ethics, and how to respond when a Judge speaks to you. How to conduct yourself in court, the do's and the don'ts. How to dress, what to say, what not to say. Threatening a calm audience with jail if they should get out of line. All in all.. the experience was horrible as always... never fails. The worse place to get a ticket and or a criminal case, is Atlanta. The level of unprofessionalism and confusion is beyond me; and like most courts, they're all about the money!!

My personal email to Municipal court: I have been on a complete goose-chase. I pray this email gets in the right hands. All for a measly $25 citation (paid 7/10/18-autherization code: 074***). ATL plus mobility is the company that City Of Atlanta works through-- to whom I would pay the bill. There has been a problem with my account. I paid this citation, of $25, in full. Unfortunately, the citation number on my receipt for the said ticket, was documented #711799. The cashier, VLittle, who took my payment AT MUNICIPAL COURT, left out two numbers from my citation number. The citation number on my physical parking ticket is, #**711799. ATL plus mobility had contacted a 3rd party, Professional Account Management LLC to be the collecting company. Both companies, ATL Plus Mobility AND Professional Accounts Management show in THEIR systems that my account is still outstanding with a LATE FEE thats applies to accounts that go past due. I'm Livid. To say the least. I should not have to figure out whom to email, to get this ridiculous event finally settled! Please, forward this email to the correct dept to get this DONE. Please, call if you can. I would much rather talk to someone about this whole fiasco. I am one of the affected by the Government Hack; I had a court appearance scheduled . I recieved NO form of communication addressing that court would not be held "due to..". I paid the ticket instead of having to drive down for another scheduled court date. I have a folder to keep all of "this" physically collected and it keeps growing. This is a CLERICAL ERROR and I am given the short end here; being told to call this person, email this person, mail these documents to (which I did-- literally mailed documents). I should not have to pick up pieces for people to collect. Anyone would be upset over this. When you are being told you owe for something; when it's been paid! My request: Please, send this email to MANY departments. Any departments. ALL DEPTS! I want everyone to read this so that it finds the right person-- THAT CAN HELP ME! I just dont want a response with another email; to email. I apologize for my, informality, however, I've reached my whits end. In the end, I've paid my dues. In full. If I am still showing 'due' in two out of three systems-- that makes me vulnerable to having my car towed and possibly ruin my credit. This is not fair.

The Failure to Appear Court Room (5th Floor - Room C or 5C) was overcrowded today and would not see anyone past 8:30 am so ALWAYS best bet is to arrive at 6:45 am - ANYTIME you need to attend this court or else you wasted your morning and whole court day. Otherwise, you will have to come back the following day and pay for parking again, and hope you are close to the front of the line. The process works like this: they will tell you so long as you don’t have any major points or it’s been 5 years since your last infraction/incident your best option is plead NOLO (this means that you will get NO points on your license (not reported to DDS), but you will have to pay the fine you would have received anyway plus court fees. In my case, for example, I ran a red light so it was around $300 at the time of this writing. You will also spend your entire morning waiting to be processed that is the whole rows of the courtroom must individually be called one by one and then depending on how you plead for example say NOLO then you will be moved in a classroom mind you after court. If you have the money and time it’s much better spent on hiring an attorney since I have seen them pretty much skip the line of people being called and can haggle for a better sentence on your behalf. Overall, it is a a big sham that the court cannot handle the volume of people necessary when your told to appear when requested and then asked to return the following day. It is a complete waste of time and goes to show our courts are still stuck in the stone ages. I know the queuing and notification government technology will eventually catch up, but I would probably be dead by then. Overall, avoid all tickets that you can and abide by the law so you don’t waste your precious time by giving it to the government, and that goes for your money as well. *I decided to give this place one more star after these years because I wasn’t mad at them anymore just myself frustration for what happened. I have them back a star o stole for myself.

I got a speeding ticket going through Atlanta last May. After 2 months of trying to get in touch with the Municipal court (over the phone and by email) I finally got someone to talk to me!! They informed me I needed to file Plea of Absentia since I live in Mississippi. I followed through, filled out the information, and mailed it off. Then that was it. I didn't hear anything from them for months. Getting closer to my court dates I began calling the again. Still no answers. I emailed the Plea of Absentia department 15 times and called every day. I would be forwarded to voicemails if they even answered the phone at all. Finally, I demanded I speak with someone. The woman I spoke with informed me that they had mailed me what I needed to do. Said they had mailed it back in January and we were on the phone in March with my court date 2 weeks away. She informed me I needed to complete 6 hours of defensive driving classes and mail the certificates to the court. I went ahead and did the 6 hours of defensive driving classes and mailed it off to make sure that it would arrive prior to my court date. Now, here I am. August of 2018. And I receive a post card in the mail from the municipal court stating that I did not show up to court nor did I complete my defensive driving classes so I now owe them $450. So, now I'm back to square one. I have emailed them 5 times. Called every day. And no one will answer me. I have my certificate stubs to prove I did my defensive driving classes before my court date!!! BUT NO ONE WILL RESPOND TO ME. Thanks for listening. I just really needed to vent for a second before I get back to googling contact information for this stupid place.

SCAM. Let me first say ultimately I was given a fine by the judge . He reduced the fine and I was given 2 months to pay I Went to probation in the same process and was told I had to start paying in a month .. Also they add probation fines which add to your cost of the ticket itself which defeats the purpose of needing time to pay. Also they make you pay within the first month?! My thing is why would I agree to 2 months to pay if I was able to start paying in a month . INSANE!!! So here’s how I got here. Minor accident just scratches on car no injuries so the cop gave me a ticket for failure to yield .. I went to pay online .. it was not there... So I called and was told NOTHING was in the system . Not a court date not a fine no listing. It wasn’t until AFTER the fact that I chose to call and I was told I missed the date. This Is a new scam that I’ve witnessed courts doing. Also they will give you a citation thats barely readable and when you call they will give you the wrong court date so AGAIN .. you miss the date and you PAY MORE ! it’s a money scheme . We are Tired of living in a country that just plays us and mysteriously when we get right here comes another cop trying to get us back to square one. It’s a Long process that could’ve been avoided but once again it’s a SYSTEM ! Probation officers are incapable of communicating and are rude to your circumstance. Been here since 7:30 it’s is now 12:00!!!!!! Went to solicitor on one floor waited ... Court on another floor .. waited Probation next and now I’m fighting to what I agreed to in court. Scam to drain minorities of what we already don’t have .

All of these 1 star reviews are NO JOKE! I was involved in my first ever accident about a month ago, and I was blessed to have it happen it Atlanta *note sarcasm.. more to follow*. I was, of course, cited in relation to this accident. Conveniently, ATL requires all citations involving an accident to appear in court. More conveniently, I live 5 hours away. I have tried looking up my citation day after day, have tried calling every department in the court imaginable, and have filed a plea in absentia to avoid making another trip to this wonderful city. I have yet to A) hear anything in relation to my citation/plea in absentia, and B) get anyone on the phone that can give me the slightest bit of useful information. I was told at one point that my plea in absentia would not be processed until my ticket is in the system. If you've read any of the other reviews, you already know that apparently this doesn't happen until the day of your court date, or if you lucky, maybe even the day before. HOW. FREAKING. CONVENIENT. Am i right?! So as of now, it looks like I will have to make the drive to the all-too-wonderful Atlanta, GA to appear in court for this ticket since my plea in absentia will more-likely-than-not be processed all too late. Congratulations, Atlanta - on top of best traffic award, you also win best court house and ticketing system award. This was my first time in ATL, and after I appear for this ticket, it will definitely be my last.. I will drive clear around city limits for any future trips I make just to avoid having to stop in the city.

Amazing. One of the most professional, efficient, and kind courts. I attended traffic court recently in front of Judge Christoper Ward. What I saw there blew me away and completely changed my impression of Atlanta. You can MISS your court date, and then go without a appointment and see the judge and resolve your ticket the same day without any suspension of license (YOU READ THAT RIGHT). I have attended a few traffic courts throughout my life but have never seen anything this professional. The court workers tell you exactly where to go, are organized and very quick (I was in, in front of the judge, and then out in less than 3 hours - amazing). Judge Ward also dismissed many cases for people with old citations (far from money hungry, appeared trying to help people get back on track). I witnessed a mother come up with a toddler and the judge walked to the back, got crayons and some type of coloring book and gave it to the toddler. I was shocked by this level of courtesy from a judge, never have I witnessed this in my life. Watching this FTA court is something every Ga resident should see. I've read through some reviews on here that are clear lies by disgruntled people, not realizing how bad other courts are. Therefore I felt obligated to leave a review of my experience and shed some truth on the situation. If you think this is a bad court, you weren't paying attention - period. The FTA court is second to none and a 100 percent class act.

This review is in no way intended to dismiss the experiences of those that left negative reviews. But I personally didn’t have a bad experience. I was issued a speeding ticket in March and was told I had to appear. Kept checking online to see if a fine would show up because other counties you can pay in lieu of appearing. My citation stated I had court on a Monday. I checked the website almost weekly and eventually it said I had court on a Tuesday. I saw they did send out a notice to appear but it was to an old address. I didn’t fault the court but I do fault the officer. Because I advised him I had a new address when he pulled me over. There are no other forms of contact in the system for the court to have contacted me so I don’t blame them. I’m just happy I knew to check online. I went in on the Monday I was originally scheduled for, just to tell the clerk I was assigned two different appearances. The clerk was friendly and explained about the rescheduling and the wrong address. I went in today (Tuesday). Again, staff was friendly. Clear instructions and signs on where to go. They have screens that verify your name and court room. Officer of the court was clear and direct. The judge of the court was also clear and direct. Paid my fine and boom. To me it seems alot more organized than the reviews I’ve read, but thats just my experience. My only issue was the address but that was for the officer to clarify.

Overall this court system has many bureaucratic hurdles and traps that people can fall into unwittingly, with possible devastating consequences to lives and families. However, three specific employees were very helpful to me when I got caught up in this bureaucracy. My traffic citation was not entered by the officer for over 6 months, so my court date was delayed. I live in another state, my address had changed so I never received the mailing of the revised date, and I was going to have a court date without any notice. Three employees of the court system helped me on the day my court date was originally scheduled and helped me to avoid a "failure to appear" citation (which comes with an arrest warrant) and one followed up with me over a number of months. Their names are Natalie (she was at Window 15), Michael (he wore an LSU mask) and Crystal Vianen. Crystal specifically went far above and beyond, regularly checking to see if the officer had entered my ticket into the system for over 6 months!!! When it was finally entered, she emailed me the link and detailed instructions on how to address the problem. I can't thank her enough. If anyone from the City of Atlanta or the Municipal Court is reading this, please reward those employees in your court system who take extra effort to care for people and encourage the culture that they exemplify.

I am ashamed to say that I was born and raised here in Georgia. This state has become all about money and they couldn't care less if you are able to pay some of these ridiculous tickets like J Walking. I work in Atlanta but live in Decatur. I usually never leave my building until I get off. This particular day I found out there was a Boost Mobile downtown so I went to pay on my bill. This was not a good day for me. I saw a Rainbow right across from where I was. I saw they were going out of business and I thought about them selling school uniforms. Looked both ways before I crossed the street and soon as I got on the other side a policeman walks up the sidewalk stopping me. I explained to him I didn't know there was such a law and could he please give me a warning but he was just insisting for my license. This was a really bad time because I have been trying to help my daughter since she has recently been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. I was going there to get school uniforms for her son. That ticket was $185 which was crazy, seeing I wasn't even in a car. I can't believe how greedy this state has become. I'm trying to help two households off of a very low income. You never know what people are going through and the policeman sure didn't care. I hope that policeman is blessed with whatever he got out of that, because it really hurt me.

  • La Neicha Thrower

Everyone is posting their negative experiences and I honestly had a great experience today here. I was able to park right in front on Garnett St, paid the parking toll, put ticket in my car. There is a monitor to the left near the help desk to let you know what court to go into, time etc. My whole process took about 45 minutes. I had a “driving through safety zone” violation with a $300 fee and it was waived for me to do 10 hours community service instead. Idk if I was just blessed with a Judge that was in a good mood (Christopher Portis), he literally accepted everyones no contest or was willing to work with everyone in the courtroom. Fairer skinned handsome man with a grey beard and awesome smile. Also shoutout to Court Administrator Rashida Davis for hearing me out and reducing my fee. Anywho dont let these bad reviews discourage you. I claimed my victory the night before the case so I believe your MINDSET is the best way to beat these type things. Along with some juju Sprinkle some (cascara sagrada) around your room the night before and the day of court, chew some (chewing john) and spit it outside the building before entering. Also say “no weapon formed against me shall prosper” 3 times before going into the building.

Realize I had a FTA when I was arrested in another county went here on November 2nd to schedule a new court date the lady said it would take five to seven days it is now December 11th and I still don't have a court date I went back up there they told me they're backed up and I would have to wait until they can schedule me a new court date somebody that she know has been waiting 3 months my job is literally driving so my only options here are continue to drive illegally and take the chance of going to jail which is what they want or be homeless and there's no other options this court system is horrible there's no reason it should take anyone a month to schedule a court date and if your system is backed up then you need to accommodate people whose job is to drive and then they wonder why people from other states think they're slow because this is literally the slowest process that I've ever been through it doesn't even make sense it's literally retarded if your system is backed up and you have too many people you need to accommodate people if your people can't do their job in a timely fashion then you guys need to hire new people I'm really confused on how this is even allowed to happen I really wish I can give this zero Stars

  • Alexandra Morris

The most unorganized court in the state. They have no way of receiving helpful or valuable information. There is no consistency in what the clerks give out information wise. Any other Court in Georgia has an efficient method to address FTA issues with license suspensions. Not Atlanta. I have individuals waiting for over one year on a court date after missing one by mistake. As a result of missing court they suspend your license. But unlike every other court in Georgia there is no procedure in place to get this resolved so people can get their case back on track and get their license back. As a result people are losing out on jobs and driving on suspended licenses. The clerks are no help all they say is "you will get a notice in the mail" but it could be 2 years. In the mean time Judges refuse to add on FTA cases to their calendar and force individuals to sit in limbo... and all this chaos and inconvenience done by a MUNICIPAL court with little authority outside city ordinance codes and traffic tickets. If you get ANY ticket here, immediately go to the court in person to any window and request to have your case bound over to Fulton. Fulton will treat you with more respect and much better organization. Trust me on this.

I received a parking ticket because I incorrectly typed one letter from a license plate (rental car) into the parking meter. Prior-to paying the ticket, about a week after the incident, I noticed a parking meter attendant working in the same area on the same street. I decided to talk to her about my situation. I was coming across a little agitated (rightfully so, since the ticket was based on a technicality of entering one letter incorrectly.) This attendant was very polite and handled my inquiry VERY PROFESSIONALLY! She showed me how the technology is so advanced, that the parking attendant simply takes a picture of the license plate and the technology takes it from there. She then showed me how to appeal the citation. Her behavior and demeanor put me at ease and made me feel so much better about my situation. Who knows if the citation will be appealed, although I hope it will. Regardless, this attendant's name is Jasmine and we would all be well served to have someone like her representing our company. Kudo's to Jasmine!!

  • Hope Gerrald

Parking is very expensive and there is a walk to get into the building. This makes it difficult for people with health issues. The Atlanta traffic does not help. Make sure you allow for traffic jams. Once inside the building, for me, finding your way around is a little confusing. I did not see a clear sign for the elevator. Had to ask someone where the elevators were. My courtroom experience was intimidating and baffling. I was there with my proof of corrections, but the officer was not, so I was given only one option of rescheduling. This citation was issued in December 2021 and scheduled for court June 2022. The burden of a pending court case has been difficult. Needless to say, I did not want to reschedule. I was willing to pay the fine and move on with my life. However, that was not allowed, not an option for me. I have to allow the officer to appear. I'm praying for a better outcome when I have to go back. Please pray with me.

Was in town for a music gig and got hit by an uber driver. Was labeled at fault. Have tried to sign up for an email notice when ever my case was processed, never received one says my citation was NEVER processed but yet I got a notice that I missed my court date and a warrant would be put out?! how can you put out a warrant for a citation that never got processed. I live in Tallahassee florida. I tried calling every number, none worked, couldn't read the date on the ticket so I didn't know when to show up for court and when I called the prescient to ask for the "officer" that issued it to me, they had no knowledge of who I was talking about. Tried to register an absentee plea and experienced the same issue with that it looks like everyone else did. Atlanta government/city workers needs to be completely cleaned out there seems to be a lot of funny business. corruption and incompetence going on up there.

  • Ashley James

I want to start off by saying thank you to the entire 3B court room staff! Judge Gains is the sweetest, most understanding, compromising judge I have ever come across. My hearing alongside everyone else's that I shared the court room with was quick, in and out. I honestly don’t know what happened with these other cases I read about amongst the reviews, but my case was handled beautifully. The whole staff team, from the time I walked up to the door outside where I had to check in, to being called up by Judge Gaines, was amazing, everyone was so nice and friendly, they took the edge off of being in court. Municipal Court of Atlanta you guys need to continue to do what you’re doing! I may just be on a good high because my case got dismissed. But hey alls well that ends well, these people were good to me, and in return I walked out happier than when I walked in❤️ Thank you guys so much

  • Eric Schrecengost

Been trying to pay a ticket for months, but all they can tell me is they don’t have the ticket yet. But I received PTIT information and they’re able to tell me about my ticket. Everyone except the lady in the solicitors office were extremely rude. I don’t understand how they are making their issue with putting in traffic tickets everyone else’s issue. I’ve called the number on the back of my citation several times and each person has told me something different. I’m a travel nurse working night shift, if they send out my appear to court date and I don’t get that in the mail because I’m travel nursing, are they just going to arrest me because of their ineptitude and incompetence? This place is really useless if all they’re doing is issuing tickets but not allowing people to pay them. Must be nice to sit behind a desk and ignore all the issues they’re creating. Lazy.

  • Jade Breana

Zero stars if I could. This court i discriminates against black men. And doesn’t update your address correctly regardless of how many times you’ve given it to them. Continue to send new court dates to old address and then suspends license due to a failure to appear. When THEY NEVER UPDATED MY ADDRESS. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Judge baker stated he would be able to set an earlier date but her clerk continues to override her decision and refuse. I went in today and she was asking for my information to let me be seen today at 1 when i said it’s actually not for me she said he can old get a later one. He drives for work and needs to leave before his date. She then asked the officer to make me leave. There is no order at this court and staff does and says whatever they want with bo repercussions. They refused to give me the clerks name so I can quote her in my email.

  • Lawrence Benefield

I usually the one person who is always positive and tries to give a good review to everyone if I can. But I can't do that with this situation. For one the phone systems are as other people have said very useless I stayed on the phone for over 45 minutes trying to get a hold of a person the system kept bringing me back to the main menu over and over and over again. And when I tried to call the police department directly. He simply director me back to the same phone number and told me in a smug tone, and I quote "good luck on all your future endeavors"... I've lived in over a half dozen cities and never have I had such a hassle to pay a simple failure to stop at a stop sign ticket. The website is also a maze and has none of the links that the back of the citation suggest. Rudeness and 0 empathy in no way to make your citizens feel welcome to your city.

  • Jeremy Briner

I came in to change my court date a week before my date. I had to fill out a form. Then the clerk told me to call back the day after my court date to find out the new date. First, that does not make any sense. I asked her about that and she said that's the earliest that I could find out. So I call the day after my court date at 1:00pm(they are open from 7:00am - 5:30pm) and I get a recording saying "Please call back during normal business hours, 7:00am - 5:30pm". Well I kept calling up until I got out of work at 3:30pm and got the same massage every time. I then drove down there to find out they closed at 3:00pm for the holiday weekend. So that means they were there but turned their phones off and then left early for no reason. Now I don't know if I have a failure to appear warrant out on me because I don't know if they even did their jobs.

  • Andrew H

Park Atlanta are crooks. Sent me a letter and claimed I was issued a citation around 25 days after the fact. A citation was never issued to me on the date they're claiming: not put on my car nor handed to me in person. Went to contest the claim on their website and wasn't able to because they claim it would of had to be done 24-48 hours after the citation was issued and couldn't contest in court because they claim it would of had to be done 14 days after the citation was issued. Have put in multiple inquiries about this issue, got passed around on the phone for 30 minutes after calling in and was promised the opportunity to speak with a 'supervisor', and still have yet to have someone contact me about this issue. They're extremely unprofessional and obviously do not care that they've messed up. What a pathetic organization.

  • Gisela Garcia-Soto

I received a traffic citation because I didn't use the correct signal. I've been driving for about 30 years and I have never been pulled over for failing to use my signal. This all happened as I was trying to find an address in Atlanta as I was lost. The officer wasn't rude but despite me telling her I was lost and clearly not familiar with the area. This should have been a warning. This was totally uncalled for. A fine of $189.78 as if I had ran a light or worse. As stated this should have been a warning but it seems they are money hungry and I say that because I paid the fine and was charged a processing fee of $10. All of this to avoid the hassle of losing a day's work and wasting time going into Atlanta. This deters one from traveling into the city. I chose 1 star in order to post. My score is 0.

I am a paralegal, not a defendant, so I’m not just here because I’m mad my case didn’t go how I wanted. These people that work here are rude. I’ve never been a “customer is always right” person since I worked customer service most of my life. If you are rude to someone in a service position, then they should be allowed to treat you as hostile instead of kissing your feet. But if these “customers” that are coming into court never did anything, why be rude? Why is that okay? The APD officers who run the lobby and metal detector area are always rude. The people working the front windows are always rude. There’s no point in it. I’ve been to nearly every other courthouse in the greater Atlanta area and never had a bad experience but I do nearly every time I come here.

  • Spencer Cope

Unbelievable. I received a traffic citation last summer, and tried to pay it online twice but the offices were "shut down" due to COVID so they told me I was "unable to pay the fine at the moment." I would have to wait until the court opened back up. I called again 6 weeks later with the same response, and was told that I would be contacted when I was able to make a payment. I was never contacted. One year later, I was notified that I had missed my court date and would now be fined additional money and a warrant would be placed for my arrest if I didn't pay. Because this court was closed when I called multiple times, and then they didn't notify me for almost a year, somehow its my fault and I'm being penalized. This is not justice, this is disorganized robbery

  • George

The people checking me in were friendly. The lady at the info desk was bitchy when I asked about how to use the elevator (after the button didn't work) and snapped "It Works!" Then we went over and checked, and it didn't work. Had to use the stairs. No apology. I opted for community service, which involves probation, and I was told to wait on a bench for a probation officer. After everyone else got helped, and I waited for five more minutes, I knocked on the probation officer's door (she was great, a graduate of Washington HS) and asked if I was next, she checked with court staff. They had forgotten to take a document to her to let her know I was to be processed. No apology.

  • Cameron Campbell

Is there not a 0-star option? This place is a scam. Tried to pay my ticket over the phone and online but couldn’t, they said the judge would have to determine the fine. There was nothing to determine, they gave me the same fine as everyone else with the same violation. Then, they tacked on $86 for “court-room fee” when I never wanted to go to the court room. The judge gave me the option to pay off the ticket later, but said nothing about probation. Looked into their probation stuff and it’s a scam too! They are stealing money from the citizens. Absolutely disgusting behavior from the court system and our government. Serious corruption in our government, right here in ATL!

  • Roma Khudoleyev

Was here for FTA. Charged with a traffic citation that I was technically guilty of, but a minor and harmless one. Judge Ward is very straightforward, talks clearly - but fast, so you gotta listen. Not sure if he was in a good mood that day, or if it's standard procedure for FTA court: even in a packed courtroom I think every single FTA fee was dismissed. He saw my charge, gave me a look, and dismissed my case. No traffic fine, court fee or FTA fee at all. Saving me $250 sure is one way to get a 5 star rating. Based on hearing other cases, I would advise: for anyone you speak to at the court about your case, get their name as well as the time and date of conversation.

  • Phil Hernandez

I have worked here as a clerk for 15 years and the court has done nothing but become more corrupt since I’ve worked here. Suspicious characters often walk into a lawyer or judge’s office with a bag and leave without it. The work of the few moral individuals is hindered by the corruption of the rest. Last week I saw the only honest local judge left get threatened to reduce the sentence of some movie tycoon’s son. The man left after getting turned down but not before a few curses and one particular insult related to the judge’s skin condition. I know this guy personally but I don’t think he’ll get anywhere in a system plagued by local extortion. I quit this morning.

  • Colleen Romero

I got a traffic ticket and called the court and there was no record of it. They said to wait until five days before the court date and I did, and it still didn't show up online. I called back and the ticket was found the day before the court date, and I was able to pay online. Additionally, I received a post card from the court that I could avoid the fine by attending train, but that postcard didn't arrive until after my court date. The calls I made cost the city money. In this day and age it should be possible to get tickets online within a few days of a court date and allow them to be paid. Lots of opportunity for improved efficiency here.

  • Frank Mutz

Would have been a 1, but there are some nice people there pleasantly doing their jobs. I made several attempts to pay on-line as advertised. Then made several phone calls and two trips to Atl court to pay the fine.. Their computer never showed my citation. I could not make court date so, I filed for extension. Received failure to appear even though I had receifed extension. Went to court, paid fine, now have to go to DMV with a form so my driver;s licence will not be suspended for failure to appear. . My infraction was minor. I failed to come to a complete stop before turning right at stop sign. No cars near except hidden police car.

  • Marcus B

I have been trying to get my license straightened for 8 years now! The fraud office is completely no help she lost my paperwork and then she came to court and lied as if I had never given it to her! They way they treat taxpayers at this courthouse is completely unacceptable! I have been to this courthouse a total of 13 times to get my license straightened out and I have to go again for the 14th time on March 20th of this year. So basically I’ve been in limbo for 8 years about my license, and I’m completely fed up with the Fraud office! I will be filing a complaint with the supervisor of the Fraud Office ASAP!

  • Olivia Lee

I understand the court was hacked, but that was back in March, its now nearly the end of August! My citation wasn't registered in the system until the day before my court case. At this point, I cannot request to extend my court date, because its too late. I cannot opt into any programs (i.e. PTIT) because they require a 5 business day notice. My citation online isn't showing a fee, so I cannot pay online either. So my only option is to go downtown to the court house. This should not be my only option. It is 2018 and its been months since you've been hacked. Its time get it together because this is ridiculous.

  • Audra mares

This is the worst courthouse honestly I have two traffic tickets from a car accident I was in I appeared in court as I was supposed too and I enrolled in the PTIT program the lady was nice who told me I can enroll in the program. I never received a new court date all I got in the mail was an FTA postcard and no other information I live in a different state and I’ve called emailed so I can try to pay for these tickets so my license won’t get suspended I’ve tried to reschedule a new court date but I don’t get direct answers from the court. I run a restaurant so I can’t just drop everything and go to Atlanta!

  • Federal Dobbs

Always rude for the past 7 years! Dispossary Dept! Also not diverse at ALL! I often try to joke with them but still rude. But sentiments an employee will have a joking conversation with a person of color in front of me. Very slow in every way ! Two employees will be talking laughing look over at a waiting customer and just keep laugh and talking. When you call to get updates on court hearings or follow up because you didn't get notifications or case numbers no one answers the phone & several numbers online don't even work??? Just one big hot mess and DRED Everytime I have to go there!!! Rude!!!

  • Jessica Thompson

I initially gave a 1 star review because the phone system is completely worthless. You can forget about trying to accomplish anything over the phone. That being said, actually going to court was surprisingly not as terrible as expected. The staff were actually quite friendly. I do have some advice, though. 1) BRING A BOOK. It's going to be awhile and phone use is forbidden. 2) SIT IN THE FRONT. In other words, do not be late. In my courtroom, they started with the people on the front row. I was still there for 2 hours, but I was within the first 10 people to be seen by the judge.

  • Kassee Nelson

I got a parking ticket for parking in a handicap parking spot. I was NOT parked in a handicap spot so I took pictures and appealed the citation. They sent me a court date. I live in Minnesota so I can’t appear in person. I tried to request a virtual hearing online but it said “not eligible”. I emailed and called to have it switched to a phone hearing but they said they can’t. This isn’t only a hurdle for me but also unjust. I can only imagine how many people this negatively affects who actually live in Atlanta and have to deal with this policy. It’s 2022 get it together!!

  • Matthew Henry

If you ever doubt how racist cops are, come here and count how many Black vs White people you see getting harassed. Atlanta is only about 50% Black, but Black people make up the overwhelming majority of the victims here. While you're here for your alleged infraction, you'll be given the option of either paying the bribe and going on about your business, or paying for a separate hearing that - even if you successfully prove your innocence - will cost you more than the bribe. For good measure, observe the unabashed contempt the judges have for their victims.

  • Gemini Hands

The judges there are completely unforgivable in any aspect first offense cases are tried as if you were a consistent person committing the same crime over and over, this court should seriously be investigated for racial and unprofessional services the judges rolls out of bed on the bad side everyone suffers. ( judge gary e. jackson to be exact for this part) People out of state gets it even worst makes it very uncomfortable for people who wants to visit Atlanta. Some of these judges are from the slave days yup which is not very long ago don't forget that.

  • Faneisha L

So i have court for a speeding ticket and im unable to make the court date, i comtact the court clerk only to be told i have to submit a request to change the court date or pay the ticket; however you will not know if the court date change request is approved or not until the day of court which is crazy because no judge will approve the request because they want you to pay the Fine!!! So i ask the lady if its not approved won't their be a warrent out? She stated yes! This court system is a scam and a rip off and these people are crooks!!!!

  • Amber Maynard

The most unhelpful, unprofessional, and tedious experience I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After calling multiple times with no information given, my ticket was not posted until the day of my court date, 2 MONTHS after my citation. As this was my first offense, I tried seeing if I qualified for the Pre-Trial Intervention program, however that page has been broken for the past two months! Considering Atlanta is the number one city in Atlanta, the service and professionalism in the people and its website is unacceptable.

  • Anonymous

I missed court for a traffic citation and spoke with The Honorable Judge Edwards. I was extremely nervous going to court with the case I had but Judge Edwards made sure I understood everything that was going on and gave me the best court experience I’ve ever had. It gave me a professional, compassionate and understanding view of the municipal court. I don’t know how things would’ve turned if I wasn’t paired with this very caring Judge. I am extremely grateful and thankful for all the help he’s done. Thank you Judge Edwards ‍⚖️

  • Vianni Cobb

This is the worst court i’ve ever been to. They will give you a court date, you will show up, and they will tell you they rescheduled you. Just for im them to reschedule you at a later date, an earlier time that they’re not even open for! Please if it says 7am, do NOT go until 7:30. They will have you wait outside for thirty minutes when all they had to do was say 7:30. Also, they don’t even send out when you have a court date and will surely snatch your license unbeknownst to you. The worst city ever to have a traffic ticket in.

  • Allison Barrett

This place is utterly ridiculous! I hate to say it, but I know it's "my people" working here. EXTREMELY unprofessional!! I waited for someone to answer the phone for 25 minutes only to have someone finally pick up the phone but never said anything. I could hear them talking amongst themselves for an additional 10 minutes and then someone came on the line and disconnected the call. I hope the next mayor really gets this in order. No other cities/counties in metro Atlanta operate on this level and this is just a plain disgrace!

  • Beth Williams

Worst possible experience. I’ve called over 15 times and never got an answer. Got a seatbelt violation, and they sent me on a wild goose chase up and down the stairs to different areas 4-5 times because they didn’t put my ticket in the system nor did anyone know where to send me. People are rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to assist you with a decent attitude. Walking into this building was plenty enough punishment to fit my “crime.” Avoid this place at all costs. In other news, I had a nice LYFT driver on my way home.

  • Nastassia Rowe

My insurance pretty much scammed me and didn't put my car on my car insurance documents so I ended getting pulled over for a SURPRISE SUSPENDED REGISTRATION. Anways, got the insurance document corrected (tried to sue them, the owner conveniently died) and got my registration re-instated and then SURPRISE again, I have a pending suspension because they have no record of me coming in to my court date...so how did I get my registration re-instated and citation dropped back in 2014??? Maybe a ghost did it. Horrible System

  • Hillary Pugh

These people are rude, very unprofessional and lack common sense. I have lived in various states and I have never dealt with so many incompetent people in one courthouse. I ended up getting a ticket in downtown Atlanta with their horrible signage or lack there of. Bad enough that the cop was rude and unprofessional and then having to take a vacation day and drive two hours out of the way to deal with even more incompetent people was even more nerve wrecking. Too bad that you don't have the option to choose zero stars!

  • Chelsea Isaac

All the reviews are accurate. I received a parking ticket and appealed the citation and requested a hearing. I waited to hear from them for a court date. Apparently my court date was scheduled a month ago and I never received any written communication from them that a date had been scheduled. Now my ticket amount doubled and my only option is to pay. I now know to check the website daily or weekly for a scheduled court date because they may not let you know. I'm very surprised I didn't receive anything in the mail.

  • Real Housewives of South Jersey Barnes

I came from New Jersey to handle a court matter. It's a app to ask you questions about covid-19 and it came back that I answered yes to one of the questions which was not the case and other person there said the same thing and as well as my witness it was the same result. Now I cannot go in the courtroom and they reset the court date back to August. I just can not believe I camed alway here to be turned away. Now I can understand why people here was so upset and talk to the court people like crazy

  • Highly Favored

All I can say is GREATNESS! Judge Christopher Ward , sorry if last name not correct, however; I don’t know what’s the reviews about unprofessionalism, the staff was very professional, they stated all rules, ( it was firm) the judge was awesome, I loved the way he gave a little history about the City Of Atlanta Court House, am not from here, but I will say, I have never came cross a judge who moves as swiftly and professionally, as he did today! Greatness ! Thank you for your service.

  • Pab Lo

I just want to pay my traffic ticket, but no one at the the court can find my citation number, it's been over 2 months, can someone help me out before my court date is within the next 2 days, I really just want to pay my fine and move on with life, why is it so difficult. Update 5/25/2021, I finally got my court date almost half a year later, so people out there that's having this same issue, don't throw that ticket away and make sure you keep your current address on file.

  • Alexis Ferguson

I'm sorry but when you are in a business that has something to do with people's FREEDOM you'd think these courts would take things a little bit more seriously. First of all, delete the number from google because you guys never answer anyway. Atlanta gotta do better. You're representing the whole state and the reviews online are TRASH. You know you need to start over when McDonalds customer service is better than yours. My lord. you guys are terrible. Point, blank, period.

  • Fabianohsnap

I filled out a form for a temporary driving license that needed to be signed off by the judge handling my case, I drop it off in person to the clerk office with a envelope and a stamp for them to mail back with my address, I called 5 days later for a update and they said they couldn’t find anything in the system I waited another week and called again and still no updates, so now I have to redo the form again for this to most likely happen again.

  • Dream Era

extremely rude court officers, judges, solicitors, and staff. i understand your job would get frustrating sometimes but that isn't an excuse for the workers to disrespect others in such manners. Everyone ive encountered here was disrespectful and they act as if they dont care. respect should be given to everyone and this system lacks that heavily. they try to force you to plea guilty to make their jobs easier. this place need a whole new staff!

  • viviana martinez

The city of Atlanta is the only city I've lived in that forces you to come to court for a traffic ticket. You'll get mandatory court appearance and no option to pay online. They make you take time off work, pay for parking, keep you in court for 2 hours, then give you a hefty fine. This is specially unfair for low income individuals. JUST GIVE US THE TICKET WITH THE OPTION TO APPEAL OR PAY ONLINE. This is a waste of time and resources!!!!!

  • Kris Chong

Signed up for PTIT. Sent documents via email and called to verify. Came into pay and they acted like I never sent it. Wasted an hour and a half for them to correct their problem. Had email and other credentials yo verify my claims. I was bounced around to many departments. I also had to pay for parking multiple times because it took so long. The staff works in a very dilatory manor and more concerned about lunch than helping the people.

  • Treeli

No matter how early you show up you’re going to wait for hours and if you have open court the Judge will stop seeing people half way through. They don’t care if you drove from out of state. Now I have to call out of work and get a hotel so I can show up 30min before the courthouse even opens. You would think the courthouse in Atlanta would have more courtrooms to see people but not here, be prepared for rude employees and a long wait.

  • Blake Butler

I had huge frustrations with the outside systems of the court trying to reschedule a court date and take care of my deserved ticket. However, I had the great luck of being in Judge Chris Ward's courtroom. He was fair, efficient, respectful and most of all honorable. The experience in the court building was also pretty efficient. However, trying to get accurate information electronically or by phone is a HUGE frustration.

  • Jd Harrison

This place is HORRIBLE, they’ve suspended my license twice since the covid-19 shutdown only to reactivate them once & suspend them again for a traffic ticket I couldn’t appear on BECAUSE THERE CLOSED!!!! They got almost $400 out of me because I had no choice along with them having no date to reopen the city , days later and my license is STILL SUSPENDED. Just as quick as people move here they’ll be moving out!!!!

  • David Fort

Horrible Customer Service, trying to pay a ticket over the phone or online is a horrible. The worst possible customer service possible. They hung up the phone on me multiple times and I have been trying to call for 2 weeks to pay this ticket. What a waste of time and tax dollars. Obviously, someone needs to be fired and hire someone who can get this place organized and hold people accountable for their job!!!

  • Kody Smith

Have waited almost a month and they still won’t let me pay a citation. Seems kind of odd that I received the citation at the start of October and they told me to call back in December. Two months to process a simple citation. I respect law officers and officials, I committed a minor offense, I will gladly pay the fine. Let me be responsible for my actions instead of trapped in your inefficient system.

  • Zach Marino

Of all of the incompetent, inefficient City of Atlanta organizations, the Municipal Court is the worst. They gave contradictory information; I have now tried on three separate occasions to go and pay a traffic citation and now finally after the third time they told me I have to actually appear in court. On a previous occasion, the judge I was supposed to appear before did not even show up for work.

  • AREWA PRINCESS

I just want to commend Judge Teresa Mann's courtroom 6B, she's a fair judge, her solicitors were courteous, after being in many other courtrooms in the state, this courtroom wins. She didn't pressure anyone, the judge gave so many options to the people, the fines were fair. This courtroom should be the state example for all courtrooms. If you have traffic court here, I hope you get her.

  • Leslie Powell (Swagg empire llc)

Officer at gate is rude and disrespectful to women. Man asked me to pull pants above ankle I did and he began to shout at me for no reason rudely. I guess I wasn’t pulling them up high enough for him. I try to tell him I have artificial knees which is why machine was going off. Knees not ankles. Atlanta need to screen better for who they put in certain positions to deal with people.

  • Andre Henry

Yesterday I gave this court nearly $300 because I did not come to a complete stop at a stop sign??? Then they had the nerve to add another $5 convenience charge at the checkout counter. I'm sure we can all agree that this doesn't add up! I mean who comes up with these fee's? There is no justice in this building, they are only scamming people out of their hard earned money!

  • p n

WARNING ⚠️ if you get there any time after 8am there will be NO parking. You’d have to go around the corner or 2 or 3 blocks away. They will try to work with you if you don’t know what you’re doing (I had no idea what I was doing). I was upset at first because I missed breakfast getting here and it took 30 min to find parking but I was out early enough to get breakfast :)

  • Quen Carter

These people are horrible. I told them i can't make it to court due to my current situation. They keep telling me you have to come in. Mailed in reschedule slip. Still got failure to appear in mail. Tried to talk to someone today 12.01.21 Told me I have to come in. **They only do virtual court for specific cases. I understand but not everyone can make it to Atlanta.

  • Derrick George

This has been the most frustrating experience ever. Having to handle things completely online is horrific. There is no regard for human interaction. There is minimal to zero customer service. There aren’t measures put into place to answer patron’s questions and concerns. Matters that could be handled with a simple conversation have been reduced to generic emails.

  • Rashod Walker

No one has answered the phone for the past 3 to 4 days im not sure why but the phone just rings not prompt just rings and hangs up no voice mail or anything but people have business to handle and not having a open line of communication is a tactic inching to make it harder on the citizens that you all collect money from day in day out im.not constitutional at all

  • S T

The most unprofessional office I have ever had to deal with in my life. They don't answer phone calls or emails. Every process is extremely inefficient and painfully tedious. It's 2022, and I don't understand how they don't even have a working website. Someone needs to be fired and replaced so that this court can at least upgrade to achieving the bare minimum.

  • YoGirl Tootie

They are running the biggest scam of all time. I missed my court date and the clerk sent dds two notices to suspend my license for the same court date as if I missed 2 court dates. Once you pay the fine they then correct the error and pocket the extra fees. No other county is sending dds duplicate notices making you pay per ticket when you miss one court date.

  • Leonte

Worse court ever. Judges are never on time. Some people have jobs where their company doesn't gaf why they're late it's still an issue. Court started at 8. Its 9:09 judge still isn't here. Now I have to debate between going to jail for missing court (although I'm here) or losing my job for being late. And let's not forget, ITS ALL OVER A MINOR TRAFFIC TICKET

  • Jame Kelly

Thanks to this pitiful court house my license was suspended because I listened to the automated instructions to attend court at 3pm ... There is no court at 3pm according to them even though it's on MY ticket !!! They are pitiful rude miserable individuals who care less about helping you. Do NOT TRUST THEIR AUTOMATED SYSTEM YOU WILL BE SCREWED !!!!!!!!!

  • Yung Hannsome

They’re horrible and they can’t handle their case load. Everything is blamed on the pandemic and you could take off work fight your way through traffic, check in with security, find your floor- courtroom and seat just for the judge to reschedule you due to overcrowding. It’s ridiculous. This city was once one of the best in the country… what happened!

  • Evan Touart

I don't even know why they put any phone numbers on the website because it appears they have thrown away any telephone that exists in the building. The only way I was able to verify that anyone anyone actually exists at this place was to email and tweet them. And who uses twitter in 2018 anyways. Good to know we are in good hands with our government.

  • Universalorbit

Like the gentlemen below me my license was suspended because of a ticket I could not pay due to court closer. I am constantly being pushed around circle after and repeatedly conversations over the phone by your office. I lost my job and have not received unemployment so I Uber, which I can’t now because of my suspension. This is ridiculous.

  • Kat

Got a $15 seat belt violation ticket which I cannot pay online and apparently could not pay it in person either. I was advised to show up on my court date to pay it.... their payment system has been down since March 22nd, 2018. If you call them it is impossible to get someone on the phone to answer your questions. Tax dollars at its best.

  • Robert Brown

I'm trying to pay a measly $25 parking ticket and it's dang near impossible to pay to y'all. It's saying on your website and on the phone that it doesn't recognize my citation, but I know dang well that when and if I get pulled over y'all will suspend my license. All I want is to resolve this citation and pay y'all, how hard is that?

  • Gary Wells

Great assistance from the security desk through the courtroom. I had a 3pm court time. I walked out of the courtroom in just 20 minutes. In that 20 minutes I was treated with kindness, respect and true professionalism. I was treated like a client, not a violator of the law. I love Atlanta Municipal Court. Keep up the great work!

  • Monty Gatson

I was pleased from the time I spoke with the young lady at the window until the time I met with the judges staff. Ultimately, they dismissed my ticket and I was on my way in less than 10 minutes. I greatly appreciated them taking the time to direct me to the right people and they addressed my concerns in a very timely manner.

  • Alex Landry

Horrible. Just horrible. They made me drive 4 hours just to pay my ticket. I wouldn’t mind driving 4 hours if they actually checked all my information and made sure it was up to date but no. I also believe they made me drive that far so I had to pay the court fees. Very slow service and mean people. It’s all for the money.

  • Tenagne Turner

I had nothing but the BEST experience Monday morning at the City of Atlanta Municipal court. The judge, the staff and everyone else was extremely polite, efficient, and warm. I came in at 8:30 for FTA court and was out by 11:30 and paid not a single dime except to park for four hours. Best experience in the court PERIOD.

  • B G

They suspended my license without even telling me and didn’t reset my court date I had been waiting for since December and have the audacity to tell me it’s they’re fault why my license are suspended due to the system change and they don’t care and I still have to wait on a court date that I’m probably never going to get

  • Jesse zhang

the service their is good, but it is very difficult to find a parking around to pay by hours at roadside if you dont come earlier. the only parking close to the court charges $14 once you park there,it is not calculated by hours. it is too much as I just wanted to park there for 1 hour.that is thr only thing I am hated.

  • nick bonin

If you get a ticket you have to pay court fees (extra 100 ontop of the ticket) and how you (have to and sign)plead guilty, nolo or innocent) before seeing the judge or anybody. Someone needs to see how they do this just dont seem right or legal P.s have to go up there to pay fine and add 14 follar parking in aswell.

  • Van Armstrong

Arrived for a 10:00am Calendar Call in Judge Gaines' Courtroom. With a room FULL of people who arrived Early and/or On Time in an attempt to resolve their cases, the Honorable Judge took the Bench at 11.20. Just FYI. Don't rush to be on time, won't matter if today is an example that Court's routine. Just Saying...

  • Jonathan Talbott

Why in God's name when you call and try to talk to a real person the automated system hangs up on you after 5 minutes of waiting for a representative? They built in a customer service system that hangs up on you! I moved to Illinois and have to get in contact with the court. Should I fly down? This is ridiculous.

  • Andrea Fisher

how does a court system not have a clerk of court answering your calls ??? I have never had such a problem to pay a 15 $ seat belt ticket and get a court date like its a must appear ??I am so upset with Atlanta Municipal court system !!! NOOOOO Stars thumbs down ! made me select a star thats fake 2 God Bless

  • SIMPLE THINGS

My court time was 8am....i was walking back to my car around 845am....it was a great experience for me everything was organized from the moment i walked in everyone was professional and helpful judge Gary Jackson and his staff was awesome helpful and straight to the point...GREAT EXPERIENCE WOULD GIVE 10 STARS!

  • Durrell Smith

Horrible service, the clerks never fully inform you of what all/ exactly is needed to fulfill ticket requirements. The judges are pretty fair most of the time, but expect lots of confusion and back & forth interactions when dealing with clerks. It's very hard to take them seriously and expect to leave annoyed.

  • Mr Truth

The worst, First I had a brake light out, got it fixed within the hour, had to go to court just for them to throw it out. I guess that was good but I tried and couldn't pay online, WHY? This whole system is the worst in Atlanta. I would tell you why but I would be racist and blacks cant be that, sarcasm!

  • Nicholas Trexler

No one cares, there is no justice anymore. Just a victimized community, with a corrupt government using fear to extort you for money, to pay their salaries & feed there families. Thank you Atlanta, i thought this was a great city but apparently it wants to consume us & imprison us anyway possible.

  • Rosa lovett-woodard

My case was dismissed on the state level and when I tried to explain no one listened nor did they look at the paperwork sign by a Judge and the clerks (all of them) demand I pay a fine for a dismissed case that had already been closed y I have to get an attorney and the Judge has dismissed my case

It is ATLANTA. Expect attitudes and poor work ethic. Expect court start times to vary at a moments notice. One day I went and court was ending at the start time I was given. The next time I went, everything went great. So expect the worse, and if it's good, you'll leave feeling like a winner.

I feel safer walking in Piedmont park after 12 AM than walking into this poor excuse for a government building. The attitude from ALL of the employees is laughable. The “man” at the door stared at me like I hadn’t walked through a metal detector, if they’re scared they shouldn’t work there.

i have never seen anything like this this is the WORST service EVER!!!!!!! i'm in Florida and theres just no way to communicate with them regarding a traffic ticket after they finely answer a call 5 months later she listened to half of what i was saying to put me in hold and never come back

I missed my court date because I was at the hospital, in alot of pain. I called to change my court date and was told I have to do it 10 days in advance. I was involved in an accident two days ago, was I supposed to predict that I was going to get in a car accident 10 days ago? Very unfair

Systems are down so you can’t pay a ticket until your court date. I have called trying to pay it on 3 separate occasions and was told to pay in person. Had to go in just to find out I couldn’t even pay until court. Total lack of professionalism and organization. Get your stuff together.

Any ticket you get no matter the smallest infraction they want key it into the system literally until the week before your court date and then their website doesn't even work for processing online payments. So do yourself a favor and not get any ticket from the inner city of Atlanta
