Visiting our son and his girlfriend for the first time here in Calgary. 1st time for any of us to Murdoch's, and zero regrets. My wife was in love with her perogies. The Bacon Mushroom Swiss burger had house-made patties and was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The Berta Beef Dip was incredible. The chicken parmesan was exceptional. Even the dessert menu was incredible. Staff, atmosphere A+

Food is great, service is friendly. It's locally owned and operated and it's right down the street. Murdochs wether we go in and eat or order to our shop has always been good. We appreciate a well run business and our fortunate to have one so close. Keep doing what you have been doing

Finest menu and absolutely OUTSTANDING food for a pub, especially! My son is the executive chef at a high end esteemed restaurant in the Calgary area, and I was raised on 5 ☆ culinary art experiences, yet nothing compares to the exquisite dishes I've tasted at Murdoch's. I dont know who their chef is or from wither and whence his team comes from, but Bravo! Never fails to disappoint. Plus, no one hits on me here...surprisingly polite crowd! Best pub in Calgary, hands down.

Definitely worth trying out. Used to live in the area and remember this place when it was called something else... Glad I stopped in to try the new version. Server was super friendly, beer was good, got the chicken & waffles appetizer... Was shocked to see it delicately plated and couldn't get enough of it. Spicy, soft, sweet, crunchy: that dish has it all.

Great friendly staff! Ok pool table's, wish the dart boards were available. Food was wonderful. Open pool on Sunday, and league nite's on Wednesday.

Working in the area figured I'd check out the old Pied Pickel. Service was good but it's kind of a dumpy place now . There is a couple of pool tables and video lottery machines. Not a place I would take the wife for date night . But it could be fun to hang out with the boys from work and shoot some pool.

Came here the other night for a drink and ended up staying for 3 more. Our server/bartender, I think his name was Dylan, was fantastic! Personally, great service is the main reason I come back to a bar and I will definitely be back!

Food was ok, prices are very good. Should not have to ask for salt & pepper and condiments after your food ha arrived. This place seams very dirty. All condiment containers were very sticky like they have never been cleaned or sanitized. Bathroom taps were falling off the sink.

The nachos were absolutely delicious!!! I will definitely go back even if it's just for those. The pub itself has a good feel about as well.
