A home ground for top tier football club in the Ugandan League, Express FC also known as 'The Red Eagles' or 'Mukwano gwa Bangi'. A nice venue for football with a well built Pavilion for VIP spectators. Its big size gives much comfort to the way you would like to sit. Cool environment created by the well conserved green vegetation around, well networked with different routes including the main road. Security is always tight since the stadium is guarded by the Uganda Police and People's defence Force soldiers. A great place to watch a live football match from!

  • Bughe Titus

It's the home for Express Football Club. The stadium is few kilometers from the city centre, located at Wankulukuku, Rubaga South division, Kampala. It holds a number of events such as Football, Concerts, exhibitions among others. The parking is very spacious incase of a big event. It's neighboured by Kitebi health centre (iv) and so health services are very accessible incase of any emergency. However per now the place is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic

I was there for the Africa Ladies Rugby match between Uganda She Rugby Cranes versus Kenya Lionesses. It was a great game though Uganda lost to Kenya with a result of 03:23. the facility itself is good compared to what I had in mind. Keep it up and host more games of this kind. However, there is a need to improve the washrooms for there is a huge number of people that turn up only to find washrooms that can accommodate a family of 10. Thanks.

It has fresh air and green grass that makes it look more natural. Only bad thing is you'd have to sit on the grass,no chairs offered unless if you're in the vip and also the vip it's only a shade on top so it it rains you're drenched in all corners. Anyway,it's refreshing when you stand on top of the slight hill you can clearly see the pitch and players if there's a match.

  • Jackie Kigozi

First time visit, liked the seemingly circular shape which enabled one to see the whole pitch regardless of where one was standing. Found the square netted fence round the pitch obstructing the view on the pitch especially if one was on a lower level and short. There is need to plant more trees to provide shade on hot sunny days.

  • Lawrence Kasaga

Its a home for Express FC playing in Uganda Premeir League The stadium is located a few kilometres West of main Kampala in Kabowa. Its next to a local market. However, this is a semi standard stadium with no seaters. It also floods temporarily when it rains but the flooding is not that significant.

  • Byakatonda Patience

Oftenly go to watch soccer, usually URA FC & Vipers. It's fun though the seats in it's pavilion are few Has been painted currently by Betway Uganda and the looks are amazing To take a picture next time are there

  • Kiwuuwa Erias

1.Kabaka's stadium 2.home of express f.c the most heartfelt football team in uganda 3.no standard graśs and pitch 4.afew but no seats of about 90% of spectators designated places 5.innadequate parking space

  • Luwaga Walter

It has a strategic location. In this I mean it is accessible. It is free from traffic germ . compared to Mandela national stadium. On the negative side it's poorly developed in terms of infrastructure.

  • Solomon Alex

For such a legendary arena, it was underwhelming, too much vacant space, layout not coordinated, very few built stands, poor ambience. Decent playing surface, probably one of the best ones I've seen.

  • Richard Richrine

Its avery great place for training and any other physical activities at the level of our country Uganda in sports it's such a great area Visit #Mutesa11StadiumWankulukuku ☝️☝️ …

  • Katende John

Wankulukuku is a memorial stadium of the Buganda Kingdom, named after the first President of Uganda, Sir Edward Muteesa 2. I felt good interacting with such a historical site.

  • Titus Kibirango

The stadium is good and the bar inside serves your drink at room temperature or chilled. It's worth checking out, on Saturdays they have a live band. Comedy on Monday nights.

  • Kaweesi Mathew

This place can easily be located if you head to Kabowa and it has played a major role in promoting talents in the Rubaga Division for schools. It is the home of Express FC

  • Kemi Ciara

The way the stalls were organised was soooo nice, the cleaners were checking on us from time to time but the turn up of buyers or customers was so low....

Needs to be upgraded to required standard Let them borrow a leaf from st Mary's stadium kitende. Coz the mud is a put off.
