One of 37 stations of MRT Kajang line and also one of 7 underground stations from the bunch. True to its name, the station is perfectly located in front of the National Museum and can be immediately identified by its futuristic diamond-cut designed entrance pods located on both side of Jalan Travers. The station also has the most significant transfer out of all stations in Kajang line which is the direct link to KL Sentral, the central hub for most major train networks in Malaysia. THE GOOD • Huge, modern, air-conditioned and clean underground metro station • Linked to KL Sentral via the passage walkway with giant escalators • Directly located in front of the National Museum via Gate B while Gate A exit to St. Regis Hotel • Close to National Planetarium, KL Bird Park and Perdana Botanical Garden (around 5 -10 min walk) • Bus stops and pickup/dropoff areas with canopy located next to Gate B • Equipped with escalators and elevators between the concourse floor and the train platforms • Easy access to Jalan Travers and Jalan Damansara • Decent facilities (toilet, surau) • Full CCTV surveillance • The seats at the underground platform look so cool and art-deco-worthy THE NOT-SO-GOOD • One of the escalators going downward from Gate A to the mezzanine floor (before the concourse floor) is broken down during my last visit • There is some leaking at the ceiling of the KL Sentral linkway right after the station • RapidKL token machine unfortunately still only accepts cash payment. • Some token machines are broken and unusable. • Touch N Go card reload can only be done at the counter as the token machine can only read the card. • TnG reload at the counter still only accepting cash payment.

The Muzium Negara station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 9 Sungai Buloh–Kajang Line. It is located beneath Jalan Damansara in front of the Muzium Negara (Malay; English: National Museum), which gave the station its name.

The nearest MRT Station to KL Sentral and Brickfields area. It can be accessed through KL Sentral, but be ready to take a few escalators up and down. A slow walk takes 3 to 5 minutes to reach the station.

Well located station with connected walkway to Sentral and several office complexes and Hotels. Use Pintu A for St Regis and Pintu C for Hilton/LeMeridien.

본 국립박물관 건물이 1,2층으로 규모가 비교적 작고, 음악과 민속품 건물도 박물관 입장권으로 가능한데, 내용은 별로 충분치 않고, 기본적인 내용만 전시하고 있네요. 서울 국립박물관과는 비교가 되지 않으나, 그래도 방콕 국립박물관보다는 낫다는 생각^^
