As someone who is not a fan of NASCAR (I'm not a hater—just don't watch races or anything), I still thoroughly enjoyed the museum. I would recommend it because most people drive a vehicle and can have an appreciation for the development of this sport throughout the last century. The opening video is a total hype for the sport and it showed a side of history and teamwork that I wasn't familiar with. It's also interesting to see how a sport develops. Specifically for NASCAR, it started with who could make the fastest car to outrun the cops to move moonshine and racing on the beach while turning around on the road to do laps and developed through technology. The exhibits have tons of interactive and/or highly visual exhibits, plus lots of short videos. We enjoyed trying a pit stop where you jack the car up, fill it with gas, and change a tire. There is a simulator that costs an extra $5 that we didn't try this time. I do think it is pricey for kids. We had two 4yo with us who cost $20/each, and they honestly aren't quite old enough to get much out of it. They did think Lightning McQueen and the lobby with all of the cars on display was cool though. Not to mention that the parking garage is $4 for the first hour and $2 for every half hour after. For a family of 4, it easily cost $100 and we didn't buy any extras.

I'll admit, I'm not a die-hard NASCAR fan, but my visit to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte was surprisingly enjoyable! From the moment I walked in, I could appreciate the rich history and the excitement that surrounds NASCAR. The exhibits were thoughtfully put together with interactive displays and engaging videos, making it easy for someone like me to learn and get into it. I was especially impressed by the Hall of Honor, which introduced me to the legends of the sport and their incredible stories. Even though I'm not a racing enthusiast, I had a blast with the simulator experiences. It was a unique chance to feel what it's like to be on a NASCAR track, and I found it really fun. The staff members were friendly and happy to share their knowledge, which helped me understand more about the sport. And the gift shop had some cool NASCAR merchandise that even a casual fan like me couldn't resist. So, even if you're not a NASCAR fanatic, the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte can still be a fun and educational experience. It certainly was for me!

I had a great time exploring the history and memorabilia of the Nascar Hall of Fame. Seeing the cars up close and on the banked track of the rotunda, you really get a feel for what it's like being a driver. Upon entry, every ticket holder receives a plastic, credit card sized card that helps you interact with the displays and make it a more personal experience. With the race simulator (for an additional charge) and the pit crew challenge (included in general admission), you get to experience what it's like to sit in the driver seat and be a pit crew member. There are also tons of artifacts on display with a brief story behind the person that wore, drove, owned, or turned a wrench on. With so much to see and learn about, you really need multiple days to explore, but it's also makes a good day trip. Whether you are a Nascar fan or not, it's worth seeing at least once.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and ended up spending over 4 hours. We weren't sure what to expect, but were very impressed. There are four floors of exhibits with a lot of interactive experiences. We enjoyed the movie, the qualifying simulator, and the racing simulator. The only thing we didn't try our hand at was the pit challenge. We had lunch at the cafe and both enjoyed the pulled pork sandwiches with Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce. They were really good and at a great price for the combo! They had so much to see, especially on the fourth floor, it was almost overwhelming! We would definitely go back and feel it was very much worth the price of admission. Great job NASCAR!

If you are in Charlotte, it is a fun place to visit and good for all age groups. You can buy tickets at the booth or book online, either you it works. Consider family membership option if you are family of two and have 2-3 kids, as the family membership provides more value for money and you get two buddy passes which you can use immediately during the visit if you have more than two adults in your group. Simulation drive is included with the family membership, so value instead of combo tickets. It is a long line sometimes and probably most times to get into simulation. You can easily spend 3-4 hours at the museum, rest rooms are clean and very accessible.

My boyfriend and I came here for a day date, there was no line or anything- we like to do things that are fun and interactive. This was my first time at the hall of fame and there was more to do than I expected. The tickets are pricey but It would be a great place to bring kids if I had any. But it’s great for just adults too! I definitely recommend doing the racing simulation if you go, they were closing soon and let us do it for free and it was super fun, but typically you have to pay extra for it. We live uptown so we didn’t have to pay for parking but I suggest finding street parking and walking a little bit as opposed to a parking deck.

It's pretty interesting. I really don't have any interest in NASCAR racing myself, but my father enjoyed it. There really wasn't any wait to get in. Everything is clean and the displays, particularly the spiraling racetrack with old cars, are very cool. There's also many interactive displays, and none of them were out of order (which is quite nice as I've come across this before at other museums!) The test driving track is sort of difficult and a little expensive for what it is though. I would go and just try the arcade driving wheels in the corner across from the track. It's the same experience essentially, just without having to climb into a fake car.

We had an absolutely amazing time here. About $ 80+ for 3 people with 2 of our tickets being discounted military. There are packages you can purchase to include a simulator ride. Very interactive. You get a card to scan at the stations for more information or to activate the kiosks. You can take a picture and get your face and name on the large jumbo screen with your favorite drivers you select underneath your picture welcoming you. There was a simulator qualifier, the real thing and a timed pit crew simulator. Super cool museum to view the history of NASCAR, owner and driver history. Amazing time for all.

My husband is a fan of racing cars and nascar, i loved that the place is amazing for pictures aesthetic pleasing, they got tons of cars, tons of history regarding the topic. They also have simulations and activities that are friendly for the whole family, however, i did not like how we werent offered a discount because we were only there for less than an hour, also try to park away where theres free parking because paying for parking is ridiculous. Also the tickets for entrance are expensive so try to consider this if you want to visit.

We were in town for a conference and I decided to take my little one to check out the cool cars! Let me just say he loved it! He is a big fan of lightning McQueen, so that was a lovely surprise for him! I purchased the number three combo pack and it was definitely worth it! The barbeque beef sandwich was great! You also get a $10 credit for the gift shop which is pretty cool and a free photo! There is the option to buy a second photo for $15. The employees were friendly and it was fun exploring the museum!

NASCAR Hall of Fame has many historical cars from the foundation of the company. It has a race car's time line. They show interesting information about combustion engines and racing engineering overall. In the second floor they have fun activities, for example driving simulations and even a station to practice how to provide maintenance to a car during a race. (Similar to Pits) Side Note: it as an inner bridge connection to the Charlotte's Convention Center. I think that NASCAR Hall of Fame is a must if visiting Charlotte. It was enjoyable, fun and very informative.

What a fantastic experience. One of the friendliest environments I have ever been in. From the front desk to the workers on the floor it’s like they were all trained at Chick fil a. Super high level of customer service at the hall of fame. The exhibits were beautiful and the car simulators were awesome. But the most fun had to be the pit lane simulator where you physically have to do a pit stop on a car. Such a great place to visit I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone

This was an different activity. The price is a bit expensive for the very limited activities. We purchased the simulation day passes as well and should have just purchased single ride. Was a bit misled by desk agent on howany simulations there are. We did have a goodtime overall. The practice simulation may have been more fun than the main. The pit stop challenge was fun as well but should be a dry run then the official timed run. Not worth the cost though.

NASCAR hall of fame museum is a must visit! I enjoyed this a lot with my family. The experience wasn’t what I had expected at all— in a great way! Stimulations and interactive activities all throughout. Very clean and well kept facility. Loved the gear shop as well. Highly recommend purchasing the Combo 1 package as you’re provided a cool lanyard for your hard card and unlimited rides on the race stimulator. Would love to visit again.

Amazing place for our NASCAR-loving son! So much fun and a really in-depth look at all things NASCAR, from simulating racing and pit crew work, media and advertising, to engine design and aerodynamics. Of course there is the hall of legends, so look for your fave! You can dine a the cleverly named snack shop on sausage dogs or pulled pork sammies- or a salad if you prefer. We had a great time and will definitely return!

We visited early afternoon on a weekday, no waiting to get in and I recommend you pick a ticket package that best suit your needs. You may not want to take part in all the Halls attractions. We did the simulator and photo with lunch credit package. You also get a $10 speed (gift) shop voucher included. The displaces are beautifully displaced with detailed narration. We enjoyed ourselves.

Been meaning to come here since it opened. FINALLY made it here and loved it. I do hope they add more cars, but it's great if you are, or have been a NASCAR fan. They have a great collection of artifacts. The cafe has very reasonably priced food. Basic event fare, good quality Smithfield products. The bbq is actually very enjoyable I highly recommend bringing the family or your buddies

We learned a lot about the history of Nascar, got to see how the cars changed with the times, and about the different racetracks. We had lots of fun with the various interactive displays and exercises (pit crew practice). Our favorite feature was the qualifying and the race simulation. We got the day pass which included unlimited races and we had a blast! We ended up staying for most of the day. Was well worth the trip!

I am glad to finally visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame. My son is a big fan and I watch it a bit but we both had a blast! Learning the history and seeing everything on display was mesmerizing. The simulators were exciting and it was great to experience what the NASCAR life is like. I wish there were a few more sections so kids can interact since they are fans too but we made it work. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had.

So much better than you're expecting! I'd highly recommend the guided tour. The 2 hours you spend are very informative, and you never know who might pop in to the tour! Very easy to spend 5 hours in 1 day. If you're a NASCAR or history fan, or just like racing, do yourself a favor & plan for at least half a day to spend at the hall, & get the guided tour. There is lots of walking, so be ready for that!

Went as part of a tour on a work trip. The are cars, there are track suits, samples of track and video of drivers winning. Please note that the focus is on the driver's rather than the technology or the vehicles. Very popular with our customers. Cafe sells short bottles of pop. Staff were all very friendly and had lots of energy. Headphones for the tour made my head hurt as soon as I put them on.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame was such a wonderful place to visit, especially for someone that grew up watching races all over the Southeast and became a racer myself, eventually running some in the NASCAR All-Pro Series and Autozone Southeast Series. The experience itself and history on display was much better than what I anticipated....I highly recommend it for anyone who loves racing....

It's a cool museum with lots of cars. Would have been neat to hear more about the history of NASCAR. Having a car to sit in would also be cool. Lots of signs saying 'new interactive coming soon'. The pit stop challenge was a cool experience. The military discount on tickets was nice, I think I'd be a bit disappointed if I paid full price. But I'm not a NASCAR super fan either.
