I write this message without an ounce of anger or malice in my heart, but with disgust and disappointment instead. On May 11th I scheduled an appointment with Nadia for a wash & braid down. &That was no problem she stated, so the appointment was scheduled, on May 12th (day of appointment) I sat and waited for a brief moment. There were a few other young ladies in the shop one doing hair and one perusing the Internet. Moral of the story Nadia enters the shop and proceeds to tell me there is no one available to do my hair and no one was coming in to take care of me. She offered a following day service, I explained to her I am graduating on Friday and will be on the rode that day (Thursday) headed to Kentucky. Any other stylist would attempt to make further accommodations to prevent exactly what I am doing now. While I appreciate her offer, she did not appear to be busy, nor was the shop packed. Why she didn’t offer to take me herself? I will never know. Needless to say it was a very unprofessional encounter and I will not be returning for future business. The establishment could also use some sprucing up. Although the sign in the window says walk-ins available, for your sake I’d call ahead. Hope this is something that can be changed in the near future.

This hair salon is a great place to get your hair did. All of the ladies there are professional especially Sherry whose been doing my hair every since I first started coming there. I love the way she takes her time doing my hair and, her styles are neat. You can have the option to let the stylist get the hair for you.I get compliments all the time at work about my hair. I also recommend a few ladies from my job to go there and get their hair did as well. I love how they don't just don't do sew-ins and weave braids but they also specialize in natural hair too.I have made this my go to hair salon whenever I want my hair done. I love how their hair styles are affordable, and you can even pay through cash app which is a plus since I don't usually carry cash on me. I also love how it's black own beautiful Queens doing what they love hair. This shop is also clean and drama free no bad vibes ever. The music they play is nice and mellow and even if Sherry have to take a break to do something she will always let you know and won't even take long. I'm glad I found this shop just by googling black own shops on my phone browser. I recommend this shop to all ladies.

Unprofessional staff member who started my hair (she wore a blue wig). She was very insensitive and non-caring when combing through my 4c natural hair. I asked her if she could moisturize my hair loosen it up so she won't cause breakage she got offended. Lied to me and said she was leaving instead put someone else in her chair started weaving and put me off on the lady who was braiding hair. I sat and waited a while,I was getting ready to leave when Nadia stepped in and finished my hair did a good job. My hair is damaged from the shampoo lady raking through my hair dry 4c hair with nothing in it before washing and conditioning my hair and then insensitive hair stylist. I have been growing long natural thick natural hair a long time I know my hair I now have to start over.

I’ve been letting Nadia style my hair over the last 2 years and she never disappoints. She is at awesome at quick weaves and sew ins! She’s always prompt and professional and has my hair flowing every time I leave her shop!! She’s also great with caring for natural hair. My hair has grown much healthier since being under her care!

I really liked Nadia Salon. It is very lively. The stylist are friendly and funny. Nadia herself did my hair and yes baby. I had a lot of dead ends and i needed a chop chop real quick and she did the job well. It was everything i imagined. She really worked with me and listened. That's what i really loved

One of the best salon's on the southside. They specialize in both natural hair & weaves(braids included). I received a silk press from Sherry on my natural non chemically treated hair, and people ask me if it is a perm! They are also affordable and do a really great job.

Very unprofessional. I was handed off to someone else who I didn't request to do my hair. Then he proceeded to leave me under the dryer for more than 30 minutes while he left to grab food like my time wasn't important.

Every one in this shop is un professional I was under the dryer for 2 hours this shop should be shut down my hair is already coming out after 3 days and the woman won’t give me my money back
