National history museum is situated in greater Iqbal park formerly minar e Pakistan it is build in 2017 when sharifs politicians and political government in punjab converted minar e Pakistan to greater Iqbal park. This museum has history of Hindustan started from when East India company entered Pakistan and takeover hisdustan from mughals emperors Muslims. Then their hundred years of ruilling Hindustan and after that how Muslims started their efforts to make history and making their own country as Pakistan struggle of greatest leader of history quad e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other Muslim leaders and all their effort. One thing to Tell here it is Pakistan first digital created museum where you can see everything digital screens and listen to the history also while watching videos their are digital tables on which if you touch every part you can see these on screen and listen to the history very well prepared and very well build museum I must say a good step towards creating digital museum. History of Hindustan and Muslims are also well explained with pictures videos and music playing. I will suggest every history lover person to must visit this place. One more thing to say there is ticket price rs 50 for each adult to enter the national history museum.

The museum is built in the shape of a semi-circle, with the entrance on one end and exit on the other. There are five different halls with various exhibits, along with a Heroes Gallery, a gift shop, and an amphitheater. The museum is organized to highlight some of the most important moments and people in Pakistan’s history. The first hall included exhibits about The Lahore Resolution, Gandhi-Jinnah Talks, The 3rd June Plan and the Indian Independence Act of 1947, along with an overarching timeline of Pakistan. The second hall was dedicated to how Pakistan came into being with the following exhibits: Journey to Pakistan and 1947 Fasadaat. Hall three was divided into categories, which included the Wagah Station, Refugees, The Government of Pakistan, The Citizens of Pakistan and the Armed Forces. Hall four showcased Popular Culture, and acted as a link to present-day Pakistan, while hall five included Sports, Quwwat-e-Pakistan and Young Historians. This influx of information could naturally be overwhelming for a first time visitor, but to my delight, there were well informed guides in each hall to guide the visitors through the exhibits.

Great museum to visit to learn about the history of Pakistan in the 20th century, and especially during the time of Partition. So if you have visited the Lahore fort and Badshahi mosque, this is the next step in time. The young people placed all around the museum are very keen to explain facts to you in a kind and well presented manner. With my sister we really enjoyed the VR train wagon experience as well as the "Camera from the Past" area where you can take a picture with the founding people of Pakistan. It's really funny seeing your face next to Qaid Azam's on a black and white picture. I enjoyed how creative and playful the museum was and will be taking more friends and relatives. By the way, the museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday (NOT closed on Sunday as it shows on some websites) and during Ramzan the timings are shorter but the open days are the same.

An amazing place to know about history of subcontinent India, specifically British Raj and struggles of people for Pakistan and India independence and more. Overall the CAP (Citizens Archives of Pakistan) is the backbone of this museum and they done almost each and everything to perfection. Love it, highly recommend to visit and enjoy. One suggestion if anyone plans to visit make sure to spend a whole day. National History Museum has most remarkable aspects of museums is the incredible diversity of exhibits and collections they house. From ancient art and artifacts to contemporary masterpieces, museums offer something for everyone. Whether you are interested in the history of a particular country, the science behind a particular discovery, or the beauty of a particular artistic style, there is sure to be a museum that caters to your interests.

It's a nice place to visit and you can enjoy the voice of history by using hanging headphones in the museum. They categorized tickets in 3 ways, 1. Rs. 50 includes just visiting and listen audio and video clips, you can make photos of yourself with all historical areas defined but you are not allowed to take photo of only areas, you should be there in the photo ;) 2. Rs. 100 extra should be pay for making photo with historical group members that includes you in black n white mode. (optional) 3. Rs. 200 extra should be pay for watching VR videos sitting in the train single box placed in the museum. (optional) There are screens displayed with having movie clips of 1960's and much more to explore here.

An excellent addition to the archives of Pakistan and wonderful contribution by the Govt. Of Punjab and Citizen Archives of Pakistan. This museum is so beautiful crafted with fusion of technology and design language that one doesn't feel bored. Historic events are exhibited in beautifully crafted timelines that one thoroughly enjoys. Display of moments of partition with narratives recorded from generation of partition and use of hologram and virtual reality makes the experience heart touching. It's maintenance will be most critical and collective responsibility of all of us. Please visit, once it officially opens up for public and treat every thing like a master piece of your own drawing room.

One of the best museums I've ever visited that too in Pakistan, Lahore. Very well maintained and the quality inside the museum is magnificent. The VR train is breathtaking showing you history of Pakistan and India in a 4D view and the photos with Jinnah is also something to look forward to. I really loved the atmosphere and vibe it had, They have really paid attention to detail. For the quality of the museum and the atmosphere I really think they charge very less for something this great. A MUST VISIT

  • فاروق

+ve: Has good exhibits with enough old pictures and sufficiently detailed timeline to capture significant, varied moments of Pakistan's history. Well maintained and new museum. Several guides are there. The ticket is quite affordable at PKR 50 per adult. Solid edutainment value for kids. -ve: Urdu translation needs to be available for *all* oral histories. Selection of individuals for the oral histories suggests a certain elitist slant which is not entirely surprising for those familiar with CAP.

Please to all women out there planning to go with other females, be aware that there are a lot of predators and mobile snatchers near the gate. I literally went back from the gate stressed worried and shocked. I wish I had the courage to go inside after what happened but I didn't. I'm sure the museum would be amazing. Be Careful. Stay Safe.

Good informative visit about partition and pre history. Not as comprehensive as I expected but good lesson for kids. More artifacts needs as compared to multimedia though. Tangible stuff gives more credibility. Perhaps full recording of Quieds and Allama Iqbal speeches will also be beneficial.
