So I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. I wanted to wait until I delivered. I am also surprised to read such negative reviews about their L&D experience. I delivered this past July. My OBGYN is Dr. Rosca. She’s a rockstar. I did not have the easiest delivery or pregnancy and she was a much needed calming presence. I appreciated that she was attentive and not an alarmist. That she listened to me when I talked. Towards the end of your pregnancy they rotate you between all the Practitioners in case you deliver when your Primary is not on call. I found that all of the OBGYNs had superb bedside manner and were very informative and able to explain everything in laments terms. During my delivery my husband and I were so surprised how seamless everyone worked. Everyone on the team communicated with each other and provided excellent service. So much so that my husband wanted to mimic their teamwork in his own workplace. My delivery was long and did not go the way I’d hope but the team was very kind and caring. They helped me deliver a healthy baby safely that’s all I can ask for. Whenever I told people or my husband told people where we were delivering they all told us that NYP Weill Cornell was the best place to deliver in NYC. One of these people works midtown at NYP also which I mentally noted. My sister came to visit me the day I delivered. She’s been an Anesthesiologist for over a couple decades. She was also surprised at the top notch care I received. So again, super confused about these bad reviews but I’m sure people have their reasons. I had a wet tap which was not ideal but the team corrected it a couple hours later which helped me breastfeed and ambulate easier so I appreciated their swift service recovery. All of the staff from environmental services, Nursing especially!, PAs, Anesthesia, Kitchen were caring and gave superb care. I felt like we were at a Michelin restaurant the service was that great. Thank you for making our first pregnancy and delivery journey so memorable!

Horrible experience. Had my daughter here in 2018. I came in with contractions, I was only in the area because we were visiting family. Upon entering i was recieved very rudely, I was asked why I was there, did I recieve care from one of their doctors during pregnancy, and even told i would have to leave and go to the hospital affiliated with the doctor that I was being treated by. I was 2hrs away from home, are you kidding me???!!!! I felt less than and mistreated. After telling them I was not going to leave because my contractions were too close together they finally checked me in. As I'm in the waiting room going through painful contractions the staff kept pushing for me to go home and walk around, or get an epidural. This hospitals staff to me was the worst. Down to the fact that my daughter was not adjusting to the similac milk, i asked if i can get something that would be gentler on her stomach, a doctor on staff told me that was the only milk the hospital had available. Which I knew was a lie. It took for a nurse to come in the next day to switch the milk. So sad and very deheartening, maybe I didn't look like the type of patient they would like to provide care for. I would NEVER recommened this hospital for labor and delivery, unless maybe you have a different skin complexion.

I would never return.Had my child here 5 yrs ago. Rude and dismissive staff. From the head dept all the way down to the RNs.The staff made my experience as a new mom sad. The MD would dismiss my husband's presence or questions while I was in labor, stating you are not the patient she is, and I had to call him out on in. They rush you to sign documents while you are in labor pain and not thinking clearly. The nurse placed an iv line in my non dominant hands, which was causing me pain, and i felt the fluid as it was going into me, which I knew shouldn't happen. It was brought to her attention, and she did nothing about it. I called another nurse after waiting for a long time, and she finally rectified the issue. I am currently pregnant and went to another hospital. They are experts, knowledgeable, 5-star ratings, and understand excellent customer service. I feel confident that I will have a great birthing experience thanks to the wonderful staff who gets you.

This is the worst place on planet to deliver a kid. Prior to putting me in C section ward, they told me I’m only 2 cms dilated. Once I was in C section ward, I heard them talking amongst themselves that she is 8 cms dilated. I had the worst experience of my life delivering here. I also developed an infection here. When I asked Anesthesiologist twice if having an epidural will lead me to C section, she yelled at me and said “How many times I told you no”. She literally yelled at me. They poked me for IV atleast 100 times because their faulty machine kept on beeping. I wish I had the energy to sue them after delivery. I developed Hematoma and infection because of their lack of attention and I didn’t have any energy to fight. They will get bad karma for spoiling my memorable moments in life and scaring me so much. When my husband tried to talk, they shut him up when they clearly knew I had no energy to talk.

If you have an emergency DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL. My mother was in and out of consciousness in an emergency room without anyone seeing her for 30 MINUTES. She called me and told me this so I asked at the front desk to get someone to see her multiple times but it took me yelling at the front desk to get an IV on her 45 minutes after we arrived at the hospital. If you want your friends and family to die this is the perfect place.

I went to the ER back in June & July. I had a Gallstone tht was blocking my Pancreas & they saw it bc I did a catscan. Then never gave me anything for the pain & they billed my insurance $50,000 & it wasn't worth it. Then the Dr said to me tht I should've went to a hospital tht was affiliated with my Primary Dr. Tht was the worst thing a Dr ever said & I found it to be very unprofessional.

The staff is very unprofessional. And I work in the healthcare field and what I saw at this hospital were nurses who snapped at patients and doctors who didn't care. That's he quality of care yey give. I give 2 stars for the food.

I'm grateful I chose this hospital to deliver my baby, especially Dr. Szilvia Nagy and nurses Tiffany and Alison. The doctors and nurses were amazing. The food and my stay were excellent! Thank you so much.
