This place is absolutely AWFUL. Do not go here especially to their ER. My boyfriend took me in on Monday October 16th and we arrived for check-in to the ER at around 9:30-10PM. I had a previous diagnosis for a UTI and was on prescribed antibiotics from another visit to a Methodist ER but after 3 days of no changes and pain+symptoms only getting worse we drove to NCB’s ER since it was closer to us. I was unable to walk on my own and my boyfriend went and got a wheelchair from inside which he had no assistance from staff getting me from his truck and to the wheelchair. Once we were called to the back to be looked at, the nurse who was taking my vitals and asking standard questions about my pain symptoms was VERY short, dismissive and rude! When she finished the preliminary stuff and got me to one of the stretchers (which by the way, it was again my boyfriend who had to move me from the wheelchair to the stretcher without staff assistance) she started on getting an IV in my arm to get blood and I assumed some pain killers and fever reducers to hold me over since we knew there would maybe be a most an hour wait till a bed opened up. The nurse was far tougher than needed when inserting the IV, took much more blood than she really needed for a blood lab (not even cultures, just a lab!) and instead of giving me any pain meds to help my pain (which was already some of the worst I’ve experienced in my life and I said so) she simply gave me a fever reducer and then sent us back to the waiting room, leaving the IV, disposable finger device for checking vitals and a kit to get urine samples which she wanted us to do in the waiting room bathroom and deliver back ourselves. She also mentioned that we’d only have to wait for the next available bed. Before I go on, I feel it’s important to mention I had a fever of 100.7 Fahrenheit and I told them that I was also born with a renal fusion/horseshoe kidney (I have one kidney essentially) and that a UTI infection staying this bad and getting worse despite 3 days on antibiotics was concerning (of course it was dismissed). Now that we were in the waiting room there was also another woman also in a wheelchair behind where me and my boyfriend sat who was also in bad condition. She was vomiting constantly and needed assistance from her husband for nearly everything and had apparently been there an hour longer than me and my boyfriend. During the wait, we witnessed two patients leaving the back ward where the beds were and expected both us and the other couple with the lady in a wheelchair to be admitted first due to our conditions. However, we proceed to wait 3 hours as other patients all of whom were not in any visible pain, showing no signs of bleeding or outward symptoms and who could not only walk perfectly fine on their own but also do all other tasks fine on their own were admitted first. During the three hour wait, my boyfriend would go and knock on the door to check if there was anything more the nurses could do to help me or ETA getting me a bed as not only did I begin vomiting but my pain also kept getting worse (eventually got to where I was crying out in pain) he was either addressed by the nursing staff in very rude and dismissive ways, being told to just ‘be patient’ and that’d they’d deal with it when they got a bed opened up or nobody would answer the door and he’d get ignored. The same happened to the husband of the other woman who was in a bad state and in a wheelchair and between knocking we heard staff laughing behind the glass. After the 3 hour wait, my boyfriend decided to call a different ER that said they could take me in and treat me as soon as I arrived. When we went to let the staff know we were leaving and where we were going they told us that because it was a private ER they’d require payment up front due to being a private ER and that it’d probably be better to just wait it out (this was untrue). Now that I’ve gotten care, I had a septic infection+kidney infection and if I’d waited there longer I would’ve died from sepsis.

Twenty days ago, my mother was transported to ER by EMS to North Central Baptist Hospital.  The ER was great!  The ICU was amazing!  I can not praise the ICU doctors and nurses enough!  Outstanding care!  After leaving ICU, she was moved to the Progressive Care, 3rd floor East. I have nothing but praise and a very special thank you to Mat Mitchell for his kindness and though explanation of her illnesses, 3rd floor nurses; Kathy, Mandy, Ashley, Bryan and Warren. Thank you, Robin and the aides who showed great kindness and compassion. Thanks to the employees who brought her food and housekeeping.  We visited each time they entered her room.  However, I was very disappointed in the unprofessional attitude of Stephanie (RN) and Joanna (RN),  her supervisor.  On the day of discharge, Stephanie was so eager to discharge my mother.   She was the only nurse who asked when she was being discharged on 2 different days. The day of her discharge, she asked again. She was rude every time she entered the room.  She did her best to act decent, but her attitude showed through.  The day she was discharged, my mother had not been bathed. The night before Stephanie had taken pictures of the horrible bedsores on her. I am going to request those photos.  Why the pictures I do not know.  I mentioned to her that she was so anxious to have my mother discharged. I asked for a copy of a discharge paper I was asked to sign. She didn't like that.  After the EMS entered the room to prepare my mother for transport, I walked outside her room and saw her laughing with Joanna at the nurse's station.   As soon as I saw them, they stopped and separated from one another.   Stephanie is unprofessional,  rude and condescending.  To Stephanie,  was I mean or ugly to you, was my mother? No other nurse, aide, or staff member treated us like you did.  Joanna act like a professional. At least go behind closed doors.  To everyone else, thank you for the care you gave my 91-year-old mother.

I was transferred to this hospital from the Emergency Clinic at Alamo Heights, where I received wonderful care. Once transferred to NC Baptist, my home medications were entered into the system that were years old without verification from me.I had no idea it was entered incorrectly until my night shift nurse Michelle brought it to my attention and had it changed. The care received from Michelle, was the only informed and dignified care I received. I waited days for a urology consult for a kidney stone. My last day of a 3 day admission I was finally told I could eat solid food, however no orders were but in, so I sat there alone and hungry after having no food for three days. I began to break out in a rash. I was given benedryl which did not help at all. I only saw my dayshift nurse on day of discharge once who never checked on my rash or received no communication. She appeared frustrated and muttered under her breath how tired she was. I was discharged with a full body rash from a medication they gave to me with no follow up or after care instructions even though I was informed by surgeon and urology I was in need of outpatient surgery and follow up. They also lost my urine sample so I sat there waiting hours for discharge. No communication until it was brought to the attention of the charge nurse. I will never step foot inside a Baptist facility again. I ended back up in ER the next day for allergic reaction to red dye they gave me and all the medications I should have been discharged on. The only true communication I had was from financial department who wanted me to pay a 5k estimated medical bill for care I hadn't even received, while I was scared and vulnerable in this facility. Quality of care is night and day compared to my experiences at Methodist, which are to notch.

I was taken by ambulance last night and had to undergo emergency surgery...everyone was incredible except. From the ER to the kind hospitalist, to the sweetest nurses and aids. When nurse shift happened at 7pm...I've been left alone to fend for myself. I am unable to walk on my own and had major abdominal surgery. I've called the nurse bell 3x, 2 because of pain and 1x for help to the restroom. The first call was at 7:15pm, no one came. I called again at 8pm and after 12 min after the call ringing someone answered but they couldn't understand me so came in. At this point I was in so much pain it was hard to get the words out. A sweet nurse came in and told me she wasn't my nurse but would help me.. she administerd the meds and told me to call them when I needed the restroom. I did and 47min later still no one. I detached myself from the iv, and attempted this on my own grabbing the walker... now I'm in 2x pain and still no one has shown up. Have a heart... made a scary experience where care was incredible, truly awful and now scary. I don't like writing reviews like this, my mom is a nurse, I know how hard of a job it is... but I also didn't know I was going to be admitted in for a surgery to save my life.

My husband Christopher had an elective surgery that didn't go as planned. We have since been in the hospital over 2.5 months. Although there have been many wonderful nurses on this journey, we are more than amazed with the professionalism, knowledge and amazing treatment by RN nurse Natalie on the 5th floor; Monica, Elizabeth "Red", Victoria, Vanessa, Manuel & Lili in the ICU; Edith, Serena, Emosha, Amina, Stephanie G., Justin, Lori, Josua, Tanya & Camila on the 3rd PCU floor. Last but not least, Ashley and her great ostomy expertise in the ER. Behind every great nurse is an amazing Certified Nursing Assistant. Thank you Jessica, Gen, Korinne, Josephine, Lynette & Alexis. Nursing Director Elizabeth C. & Heather R., Charge Nurse Ashley and Nursing Educator David S. whom made it a point to assure my husband's health care needs were met during our extended stay. My husband and I wish we could submit them all for "Daisy Awards". It's because of excellent nurses like these, that my husband and I feel comfortable with our health care needs at North Central Baptist (NCB). Thank you all, but especially these nurses, for being exceptional nurses and making a difference in healthcare.

The single worse experience I've ever had at any hospital was at North Central Baptist. Specifically the atrium building, the surgery ward and the 5th floor. To start at 530 AM the admin, Sandra, delayed us for 2 hours for a code that neither our doctors nor our insurance required. After my wife's surgery the nurses were zero help in finding our plastic surgeon for the after procedure briefing. Then the nurses staff in the room provided me a glider at first to sleep on overnight. When I asked about a sofa that I saw in other rooms or maybe a cot, but none were available so they provided a broken recliner. I couldn't sleep on it, causing my wife to also not get much sleep because I'm miserably uncomfortable. They then provided me another recliner which was slightly better but still awful. So I try sleeping on the floor but that wasn't working either. Thankfully my wife's surgery went very well because of the surgeons. Surgeons that DO NOT WORK FOR THIS HOSPITAL. If you have the option of going to different hospital for your needs please consider doing so. My family and I will never willingly come back here if I can avoid it. I would give it a half star or less if I could.

I spent numerous fully-informed hours in the ER today and am compelled to offer these compliments regarding the exceptional staff. My previous two experiences as a patient in this ER assured me that I would receive nothing but the best of care and I was not disappointed to say the least. First of all, it was Noah in triage that provided me with the initial calming of any fears which I may have had in the beginning moments of service by this amazing crew of professionals. The charge nurse, Dakota, played a vital role in my care by promptly finding me a room without delay so I would not need to spend wasteful time in the waiting room. Cameron, who interacted with me as my primary nurse, was beyond all expectations as he consistently responded to my every inquiry with detailed answers. Leisa, who took my blood samples without causing any “IV pain” whatsoever and the two ultrasound technicians who obtained the necessary scans of both legs were each memorable in their own professional manner. Finally, Dr. Burns was well-able to make me feel that I was the most important patient in the ER as he replied to my every question by wisely using laymen’s terms.

I had a ER visit yesterday on 9/17 and would like to take a moment to thank Liz and Jordan who checked up on me throughout my visit. Jordan was extremely sweet and made sure I was taken care of during my visit. Dakota who was my ER nurse was very attentive and I can tell she’s very passionate and cares about her patients. Everything was very organized & they were able to accommodate my needs. My ER visit turned into me needing an emergency procedure which had me scared a little due to past experiences from being seen at different hospitals. Due to the care I had already been receiving here just gave me a positive outlook on what I could expect from the OR staff. I don’t remember my 2 preop/PACU nurses names but they were very pleasant and explained everything on what I should be expecting after my procedure. They both took turns checking up on me every 5-10 mins until I was discharged. Thanks so much for making my short stay the best that i could expect in a hospital. Thank you for changing my whole perspective of going to the hospital into a positive one.

Sometimes people don't have a choice where they go, so I'm not sure if this will help someone make a decision. Came here to have my wife's port removed. A quick procedure. First, the communication for scheduling and lack of info on where to go left much to be desired. There is 0 sense of urgency and attention here. Scheduled for 9 am and still waiting at noon. 3 hrs to check in and wait for the doctor is ridiculous. And to top that off, we still haven't spoken with the anesthesiologist yet. Originally, the doctor said surgery would happen around 11 am. My wife also pre registered online only to go through the same process at the front desk. The service is aggravating, and the only pleasant and on time person we visited with was the nurse. She was thorough and attentive. If you value your time and sanity and can avoid coming here, then I would suggest a methodist hospital. ** update** it has now been 5 hrs and waiting. **update** 7 hrs here at this hospital all for a 20 min procedure

My OB is located here, and I love their clinic. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and went to the ER because my baby didn't meet her kick counts for the day. They directed me to the Labor and Delivery floor, which I knew how to get there. The staff and nurses working during the night shift were the sweetest! RN Sandra brought me juice and crackers to wake up my baby girl and see if we could get her to kick while I waited to be hooked in the monitors and be seen by the midwife. I hope I remembered her name correctly, Midwife Debbie was also really nice. They didn't do any extra work. They had me into and out in less than two hours. I was feeling so exhausted today, so once my baby girl got fed some sugar and monitors hooked up into her personal space, she woke up and started kicking. They reassured me that I did the right thing coming in and that my baby girl is doing so well. I can sleep in peace. Will be back for her Delivery

Terrible emergency room experience not once but twice. First was with my son when he had a dislocated elbow they told my wife and I that it was nothing just a sprain. Didn’t even do X-rays or anything, just said he’ll be fine and sent us on our way. We had to go to another doctor to find out it was dislocated because he kept telling us he was in pain. Second time was with my wife she was having issues and they just told us to hang tight that they didn’t have any beds and that their systems were down they had people leaving because they had been there for a long time. After three hours of waiting and no update on anything we left as well my wife said she wanted to go to another hospital, just disappointed that twice we have had a bad experience there and doesn’t seem to get better. Especially letting a kid walk out with a dislocated elbow that was crazy in itself. I would definitely think twice before going there

New parents please beware! Visited this hospital with my wife for nearly 15 weeks for prenatal care. Never missed an appointment, completed all analysis and test leading up to the birth of our son. By the time we were discharged from the hospital we were informed we had CPS case submitted by the hospital. Just two days later being home CPS shows up to our door reading us our rights and informing of us physical abuse allegations. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Please make an informed decision before trusting them with one of the most important milestones in your life. As for North Central Baptist I expect a full investigation and response, list of proper protocol and policies before this is escalated to appropriate parties. This is your final chance to do the right thing and own your role in a very traumatic experience that won't be kept quiet. Do not test my resolve.

  • M Thomas

This review is specifically for the ER. I've had good care in other parts of the hospital, but the ER needs to do a better job with attention to detail and listening to patients. My doctor sent me here to get an x-ray for chest pain. I came straight from her office and already had an EKG and labwork done immediately before arriving at the ER. I had all of my paperwork to give the doctors so no repeat tests would be needed. All I needed at the ER was the X-ray. However, the attending ER doctor made me do another EKG even though I refused it. Now, I am being charged $900 for it. On top of this, the discharge nurse wanted me to sign paperwork for things that he did not do. Plus, he gave me the medical paperwork for two other patients when I was discharged. I'm pretty sure that's a HIPAA violation!

  • Audrey michele

It was my first baby and I will probably never have another one after this experience, one of my morning shift nurses (Ashland) was extremely rude & would slam things around bc she was upset which had nothing to do with me and let us know threw her expressions she didn’t like us. We were never told abt my health condition and how I was doing unless we asked how I was. When I asked a question abt my blood levels all I was told was an 8. Never fully explained it. Although I had a rough run my night nurses but mainly Adriana was awesome, she was always in a good mood and made me laugh or smile when I truly didn’t want to, she went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and handled with care. And always respected the fact of a sleeping newborn in the room rather than all the other nurses

Don’t waste your time coming to this hospital. My experience after coming here has been a months-long nightmare. I brought my wife here after she was complaining of extreme stomach pain. After 4 hours in the ER waiting room, another 4 hours in the pediatric wing (because they were full in the adult wing), and 2 tests, they told her she had an “angry gall bladder” and sent her home. What kind of diagnosis is that? Then after getting $42k from our insurance, we still got a bill for $2700. Not being able to afford that, my wife called to set something up as far as settling it or making payments. She talked to 3 different people and got 3 different answers. So we started making payments online and they still ended up sending us to collections. Go anywhere else but here.

If you are a mom with previous birth trauma, consider a different hospital to give. The maternity coordinator, Kris Baxter, is not compassionate. After explaining that I had a previous traumatic experience, I inquired about doing a one on one tour of L&D. There was no compassion in her voice and no indication of instilling any confidence that I would be taken care of. This was disheartening, as I had good experiences with other areas in NCBH along with other family having good birth experiences years ago. I guess they have changed quite a bit over the years, and not for the better. I’m hoping their maternity coordinator isn’t a reflection of what NCBH is becoming.

  • pig199fly200

I had a wonderful experience here; the nursing staff and aides are all really nice, professional and caring. First off, my surgeon Dr Saltzstein is the best. Okay, nurses: Moni, Ana, Nurse Leader Daniel, Josue, Laura, Kevin in the Cath Lab and I'm sure there are more I can't remember, all pro's who really care and they are all funny and sweet. Aide Josh escorted my friend TO HER CAR at 10 o'clock at night to make sure she was safe. Even the Front Office lady Dominique was patient, helpful and sweet when I was questioning my bil. Great bunch of people; I highly recommend this hospital. Thank you, NC Baptist, for taking great care of me; I'm not mad at all -

The only reason I am giving 5 stars is because of the CNA Genelyn. She was the most attentive person I had during my 3 day stay. She went above and beyond my expectations and I feel as though she deserves a raise and even more. All the nurses were good don’t get me wrong but GENELYN blew me away with how comfortable she made me and everything she did for me .. I was a bit upset about a situation that happened during the night but when I spoke about it again she went above and beyond and I appreciate her so much for that. I would leave a 3 star rating because of other situations that happen with housekeeping but GENELYN honestly made up for those 2 stars .

  • Nanii Jayy

If I could give it zero stars I would..me and my son went in for severe back pain from his accident a month ago and we had to wait over 4 hours for them to order a ct scan even after he told them twice his pain was at a 10..still waited another hour and still no ct scan done so we ended up leaving after they told us they would be with us shortly..shortly turned into another 45 minutes..this hospital has gone downhill so fast over the past year..if you’re in pain avoid this ER at all costs..never again will I take the risk..do better Baptist!!!! A lot of people are in pain so move faster to help!!

  • Desiree J.

Baptist Orthopedic Hospital, NOT main hospital. I'm currently on my 4th day staying in the Orthopedic Hospital of NC Baptist, and the staff has been excellent with me. They have been very attentive to my needs and helping me through a very difficult time with lumber spinal fusion surgery. Even the food here has been great! When I could finally eat solids, I had meatloaf one day and roast beef the next. I was very delighted with both meals. And the girl from Hawaii and I had some fun conversation. Every person helping me have been angels in my recovery and I feel so grateful for that.

  • Lola Mathyst

I brought my newborn in for her heel stick test, which I promptly paid for. However, the nurse did it incorrectly. My husband had to take time off work to bring us again and then I had to listen to my baby scream at being poked again. To add insult to injury, they demanded payment for the second test, even though it was their own error that led to us needing the second test in the first place. I disputed the bill, but it didn't matter to them. The second nurse was professional and nice, and I overall have had a good experience but this has really soured me on this hospital.

  • Keith Shearrer

We called the hospital er to ask a couple questions. Impressed. Darsean intake person was amazing. Great smile. Truly caring. Then it was downhill. Possible heart event. Once intake determined things were “normal”, they didn’t seem to care. 6 hours and counting and still don’t have tests back. Another family has been here 8 hours. I guess we are not important enough. Others have already come and gone. I would recommend going to another facility at this point Their google rating isn’t impressive at all and I should have looked at that before we came .

  • Ben

I don’t get why this place has such poor reviews. Every time I have been here I have had a very pleasant experience. I am here now recovering from back surgery and I have not met one staff member who wasn’t friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The nurses I have had, Gayle, Lynne and Adrian are absolutely amazing! I am so fortunate to have had them to care for me. Each one of them have gone out of their way to explain things to me and make me feel like I’m part of the team! Thank y’all so much!

  • Nellie

I delivered my baby 2.5 weeks ago. Let me tell you from triage to labor and delivery the staff is beyond phenomenal. They went above and beyond for us. I had a small hiccup and fired my Obgyn/Doctor the day of delivery and trusted the hospital staff and doc’s to take over. Dr.Mankus is the best..she took over and made me feel at ease. Best decision we made. The nurses and entire staff… I truly can’t thank them enough. Overall the best and easiest experience ever for a first time mommy!! If only I could have them as my regular obgyn

  • Alexis Hernandez

My daughter has been in 3 west for almost a week. Overall, the patient care from nurses and doctors have been great! Steven and Karsen are 2 nurses that are exceptional, very caring and attentive, as well as friendly and great bedside manner! Only complaint is that there are times we are waiting awhile for a nurse to come when we put the call light on. CNAs came quickly though. It's understandable that the nurses have lots of patients to attend to. We do recommend this hospital and it is where I prefer to take my special needs daughter.

  • Michelle H

Looks like reviews are all over the place, and that may depend on what department you were in and how busy staff was at the time. I was just brought in by ambulance on Monday for a serious heart attack. They wheeled me directly in to have a stent inserted immediately and probably saved my life with their fast action. I was in the cardio area (4th floor) for a few days, and the staff there was excellent. Very sweet and responsive. What could have been a terrible experience was made much better with their care and attitude.

  • Rebecca Goode

My 5 year old daughter was seen in the emergency room for object in her nose by Dr John P Leal. And he also found nasal polyps. Dr Leal did nothing and referred her to a ENT. Then, the ENT clinic required Dr. Leal to call them because they were booked for 3 months. When I called the NCBH, I was told just call someone else. Your attending physician is not in and don't know when he will be here. What kind of care or concern is this to a patient? Extremely disappointed.

  • Tina De La Rosa

Been in the ER waiting for 4 hours already. I told them I am miscarrying and only an ultrasound has been done. I told them I’m in pain and I need medicine. Still nothing, now we are waiting on the doctor to approve ibuprofen. IBUPROFEN!!! This is ridiculous like fr. I’m stuck in the damn restroom passing this with no help. The system is down again and there are no rooms available. Why is this ER even open if they cannot help people Do better !!!!

  • michelle juarez

I’ve been to this hospital many times, either for an injury, surgery & labor. All the times I’ve been here the staff have been more than amazing but I recently was here because my baby had to go into ICU and I don’t know how to ever thank the doctors, nurses and respiratory doctors that cared for my son. They all went above and beyond and genuinely cared. Thank you To all these wonderful human beings . You guys are more than amazing!!!!!

  • S. H.

I actually had a perfectly good experience in the ER; staff was kind and attentive. What this review is for is the billing process. My bill was apparently sent to collections "by accident" (?) and I've had to call billing twice to resolve this issue. All for one missed payment, which happened less than 6 months ago. Be very careful if you have to set up a payment plan with these people; the billing department is incompetent.

  • Anavel Sotelo

My 2 yr old daughter was here for 2 days. I loved being here. The nurses are all so kind and patient. I also loved the people who delivered our food, Jaime was one of the persons who delivered our food the days we were here. Hes very sweet and he has such a good a personality! Plus a GREAT ATTITUDE ! Andrea was my daughters nurse, Rachel was the respiratory therapist, and Sierra was also the best nurse's assistant

  • Gabriela Valadez

My husband was kept admitted for 3 waiting for an MRI And 4 days AFTER he was DISCHARGED we are still waiting on a prescription that was never sent to the pharmacy. People in this hospital don’t think on negative impacts patients suffer; we are left at their Mercy very sad and disappointed. We will never use this hospital again. Poor sense of urgency poor care given to the patients.

  • James O'Sullivan

my elderly mom ended up here from covid side affect, covid pneumonia the staff are responsive and very helpful, especially our nurse Steven. he has been especially responsive to her needs and our concerns about everything. he explains everything to her so she knows the plan and what she needs to do to get out of here. now she just needs to listen to him. thank y'all for caring

  • Marc Aldaz

Had a blessed visit to North Central Baptist Emergency Room yesterday, as I had a very bad case of COVID. The ER was very quick to get me seen and Dakota Smith, the ER nurse was the model of compassion, care and excellent nursing skill. My wife and I were very pleased (as we always are with N.C Baptist Hospital). Both Dakota and the entire ER staff deserve 5 stars for service.

  • Liz Padier

Had to go to triage to be monitored today for High BP, I’m 36 weeks pregnant so i was a bit nervous as this is my first baby as well! The nurses in triage were all so kind and made me feel comfortable and were all very knowledgeable. Megan and Elaine were great. I ended up being ok and going home, but I’m very glad that I will be delivering at this hospital. Great staff.

Everyone was amazing!! My 2 nurses were Elizabeth( Liz) and Trinika and they were by far the best most helpful, loving, caring and considerate to say the least. I felt like family in the 4 days I was there. I had a DIEP flap and i am so very thankful i had them by my side. Thank you ladies so very much. You both have a special place in my heart.♥️♥️

Valerie in dietary has been amazing and the food is delicious. All the nurses taking care of my mom have been nothing but amazing. ( ashley, Adrian, My, ) all the cna's ( stuart) absolutely everyone. The entire Ortho department. Bedside manners are incredible. Every employee we have interacted with has been nothing short of amazing.

  • Tony Streeter

The staff at North Central Baptist are the very best. Friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Jaime in food service is awesome. Asked for some coffee for dinner I hadn’t ordered and he rushed down and back up after making a fresh pot. The food is great here too. When you’re in pain or recovering, a good meal makes a huge impact.

  • Whitney Hartung Ramirez

Just finished 5 days of IVIG treatment at NCB this week. Can’t say enough positive things about Myra-who’s in charge of the infusion center. She was kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. If I need additional treatment in the future I won’t go anywhere but NCB because of Myra. The hospital is very lucky to have her!

  • Ashley Alarcon

Our nurse Steven has been INCREDIBLE! He has made an unfortunate stay so much better. He’s so attentive and positive and has listened to all of the concerns we bring up. The staff overall has been great but Steven really went above and beyond these last few days. Highly recommend this hospital and this amazing staff.

I’d like to give a shout to to all of the amazing nurses and staff there. Nurses Shelby, Angelique, Sherry, Ness and the very nice staff worker Valerie who delivered the meals with a very positive and nice attitude! To anyone we missed, thank you very much for the amazing service and positive attitudes.

The Nursery nurses were amazing and very attentive. Food service menu was delicious and prompt and staff were polite. Post partum nurse staff left something to be desired regarding bedside manner and timeliness with medications. But overall the delivery experience at Baptist was great. Would recommend.

Great experience giving birth the first and second time here. Nurses were all so attentive and caring. The Nicu nurses took such good care of my son- Lulu, Candice, Lisa were especially awesome. As far as meals go, I was fed nutritious and delicious meals! The girl from Hawaii was awesome serving me.

The food at NCB is out of this world. I’ve teased my husband that he needs to enjoy it while he can because it’s back to my cooking when we get home! . Every single server that brings his meals is wonderful, but Valerie really brings her Aloha spirit with her and just lights up our day!! …

Saved my life and my unborn from preeclampsia. Was taken well care of in the ICU and the postpartum sections of the hospital. Everyone was polite and compassionate. My daughter got excellent treatment and kindness in NICU. The nurses and doctors are all amazing, friendly, and compassionate.

Jessica Perez has made my care great here at the hospital. She's the best employee on the 3rd floor. The way she carries herself and treats her patients is amazing. She brings out the best in someone even when they feel sick. You can tell genuinely cares about her patients.

Valerie has been so helpful the entire time my mom has been in hospital. She says that she tries to be a patient advocate and I see that she truly cares! She's not only been kind and friendly with my mom, but informative and encouraging to my family. We appreciate her.

My wife was here for an operation in the Medsurg wing and Steven was our nurse. He was so kind and always on top of everything. I highly recommend him. We didn’t have a good experience with the night shift nurse so having him was night and day in comparison.

I had 3 separate encounters with this place within 5 days and each time I was treated poorly by the front desk staff. First visit, I arrived on time before the 4:30 cutoff to get images and waited in line watching the front desk staff move

Had family member in the oncology dept for a couple of days. There was a nurse on the floor named Caesar. He was the best nurse throughout her stay. He really puts pride in his job and cares for his patients. He was a blessing to have care

It was a decent experience long story short I’m in severe pain and no one is helping me with getting my medication and I keep getting the run around when I called to ask to get my medication sent to another location due to the pharmacist
