A decent enough station on the Cross City line. Seating and shelter is quite minimal in comparison to the other stations on the line but it has a ticket office, a few ticket machines and step free access thanks to lifts and a ramped entrance. Trains are decently frequent and the station has a decent sized car park too.
Ticket office is regularly closed and shuttered when it is supposed to be open. Ticket office staff rude and impatient. Toilets locked and when you ask for key the staff get hurrumphy. Station run down and parts of the Southbound platform dangerous due to rotted platform wood.
People rarely pay on this line as ticket machines are frequently out of order. You never know if staff will be there when you arrive and are usually told to buy the ticket on the train meaning you can't just get seated. Good parking though
Station staff are friendly but ticket machines are unreliable and usually out of order so I’d recommend going at a time when it’s manned. Station isn’t the best looking but serves its purpose well.
Decent station, but ticket machines are awful!! Always go when manned.
