Before we got there we knew would be busy as online seats showed little availability. The cinema snacks process is a utter shambles. Many self service machines, but 1 area to collect from, no structure, no organisation!just annoyed cinema goers, anxious for that first mouthful of Popcorn, that crunch of nachos, the heady rush of the first sip of bubby cola.. The layout meant that the food collection was at the entrance of the screens, it was a 3 step queueing process.. Order food Wait for food- similar to Macdonald's system but fewer staff and less urgency.. I felt sorry for the staff, they looked overwhelmed and upset. Then queue again to get tickets checked .. How about.. you order the food and collect at the same time? And you lose a few self serve machines, employ some humans who can fulfill the instant gratification requirements of the hungry for snacks cinema goers The tickets for Imax were £20 each, I expect a better overall service. With cinemas closing at a high the management of this location should reassess the operational processes at this cinema. I wouldn't recommend.
Odeon is what it is. Just NEVER BUY FOOD OR DRINK FROM THERE. I was a bit disappointed when they revamped their points scheme because I had enough points for a couple of tickets and they disappeared. I also attended recently where I pre-booked a Barbie Collectible popcorn package online and they took my money and told me after they were out of stock. Had to attend in person for a refund. When I attended it took me 20 minutes to collect another food order that I ordered and the popcorn given wasn't even warm. There were various issues such as not enough staff at the tills and the app kept crashing to which the staff said that until I click collect, they can't give me my order. How can they charge around £15 for a popcorn and drink and the quality and service is so poor. The point of pre-bookjng is convenience but you actually pay for INCONVENIENCE. Anyway, just go Tesco across the road and buy everything you need and then just attend to watch the films.
WOW I haven’t been here in probably 10+ years but as every cinema was full, we had no option but to go here. What a disaster…. Dirty, old and the manager tries to say it’s because the building is old, it is what it is. Erm no, why doesn’t odeon renovate?? They’ve made more than enough money from everyone watching barbie and Oppenheimer lately! - if you are in screen 6, do NOT go to this screening. What a disgusting, dirty, urine/poo smelling screen. The place was so dirty, chairs made for 5 year olds to sit on, doesn’t fit a normal human size person, no AC… I was melting!!!! The lights were left on when the movie started, like what the hell!!! I had to leave 45mins in and get a refund, I really tried but could NOT stand it here. Disgusting. Odeon fix up! There’s plenty of other cinemas that are doing so much better than odeon lately and i definitely won’t be going here again. Even the popcorn was OLD!!!
I like this Odeon. As a Limitless card holder I have reason to visit this cinema frequently. The location of this cinema is opposite the train station and is also served well by local buses. The foyer is bright and spacious with a Costa coffee shop to your right as you enter and the usual confectionery to your left. Escalators and staires take you to the screens which vary in size from the large auditoriums to the smaller more intimate versions. They were clean and presentable. However, gentlemen toilets were poor. A side panel exposing pipework, similar to my last visit a month ago, was not a good look but worse was ( sorry reader) the state of the urinals. Smelly, dirty and discoloured. It gave the impression it hadn't been cleaned for a good while. Sort out the loos Kingston! In conclusion a good Odeon with plenty of film choice.
I don’t like writing negative posts, however, the Odeon in Kingston Cinema 3 was absolutely terrible. We ended up walking out even though we enjoyed the movie itself until we left. There were broken seats, the stairs were falling apart, there was a terrible smell and the seats were just worn out and uncomfortable. The team are very friendly so I would give it high marks for customer service. Below scores are out of 10 Customer Service 9 Atmosphere 5 Presentation 3 Products 5 Wifi Yes Location 10 Parking: Lots of paid parking available. Overall 6
this silly odeon rejected me and my friends from enjoying a really nice movie. i feel attacked and shamed by these odeon workers. they have declined a fun day for me and my friends and i am absolutely disgusted. i saw a tampon on the floor and i feel quite appalled at the sight. they saw that two of our friends were non white and they had a problem with this. why? i do not know but i feel racially wronged. we asked for a refund and they declined that offer. i am absolutely disgusted by this behaviour. i have given it a one because i could not put a zero.
This cinema is okay. If you can upgrade to film showing with recliner seats…it is soooo comfy you’ll fall asleep. Unfortunately, most of the recent movies have been absolutely rubbish so getting a Power Nap and being refreshed is brilliant. Movies seem to be getting longer so I’d advise these seats for lengthy movies. You can eat at the recliner seats as there’s trays that swivel (like in lecture halls). There are also a set of toilets that’s just use for people who book recliners which is a nice touch.
Used to really love this place but it's going downhill. Nowadays most screens are dirty, the escalators been making some awful creaking noise for about 2 months as of right now, loads of screenings now seem to feature people who will gladly talk through the movie as if they're at home and staff don't care and ticket prices are on the up and up, even for Limitless members. Only reason it gets a 2* is that it's maybe the best Odeon in the general area for movie variety.
Excellent , very enjoyable experience, friendly helpful staff ...We normally visit Vue in Staines as is nearer us but as the lift there has been out of order for a while now and my husband has mobility problems tried the Odeon We will return as we honestly couldn't have wished for a better service from the staff . Would like to thank those that were on duty Wednesday 16 th October afternoon to see The Great Eascaper great film .
Excellent idea of combining eateries with this cinema venue. Some restos were expensive though. Staff were helpful - a friendly, courteous bunch. Only downside was the escalators were not working and closed off. Our guest with mobility problems had to walk to the other end and wait for the lift. This cinema is on split levels - at the ticket check-in, do ask the staff for the various locations of screen numbers.
Overall an ok multiplex, been there a few times in the past year. However, the last visit (August 2023) the screen was cloudy throughout the movie so likely an issue with the projector needing a good clean which spoilt the experience. When I mentioned the problem to staff at the cinema the response I got was disbelief and lack of concern - terrible customer service and I won't be going back anytime soon.
The seats were appalling with quite a few of the seats taped up and unusable. There should be staff inside the cinema to stop people taking selfies during the movie and for those just there to be on their phone all the time and talking consistently. There should be signs telling all customers to throw their rubbish in the bins provided afterwards too. Apart from that I wasn’t too impressed.
I sat on the "normal" non vip chairs. Not only they were too short and too close to the floor but there was also very little legroom. Also the seat was very hard and as I watched Oppenheimer - a 3hrs nearly long movie - it turned into an unpleasant experience. Not good; I'm very sorry but for a £20.50 ticket this is taking the Mickey. The superb movie stopped Odeon from ruining my evening.
I’m hoping Odeon management are reading these reviews. My main problem with the cinema is the LOUD sound. It’s turned up to unbearable and it gave me and my kids a headache. It’s noise pollution period. The inane adverts and full length trailers are way too loud. My kids used to like the cinema now we don’t. They would rather save their hearing and wait for Disney or Netflix.
Helpful and friendly staff. Online booking etc all pretty standard. The theatres seem run down. Most seats are filthy with food debris. Premier seats equally dirty/tired and with sub par leg room. But it is very local to where I live and I am grateful that I can still wander down and catch the block busters. So overall very grateful.
Went to see Bad Boys For Life in there newly renovated screening room. They now have recliner seats with movable trays and the arm also lifts up for extra comfort. Screen 15 also has its own bar and pizza area. Super friendly staff, amazing experience for just a few quid extra on the regular price. Definitely worth it.
Disorganized concession stand and in general poor upkeep and housekeeping. The cinemas themselves are ok, but not a place I would recommend. It took my daughter and I over 30 mins to have an order of chicken strips and popcorn filled. The concession stand staff seemed lost and could really only handle popcorn orders.
Has been my local cinema for around 20 years now. A great place, very clean with comfortable seats in the screens. With that said, the escalators need to be fixed as they make an awful screeching noise. On top of that, the prices are way too high, they do offer discounted prices on Mondays though which is good.
Lovely place, but… We went yesterday to see Oppenheimer on IMAX and the sound was so loud that it totally ruined our experience. It was borderline torture, very painful, and half of the time we kept our hands on our ears They need to call the acoustic engineers to check the sound. …
Close to £20 for a ticket, and even after that we're forced to sit through almost 30 mins of adverts and trailers before the main event!! A £1 hot dog costs close to £8. Not impressed at all. I'll better watch at home next time. No wonder these rip off Cinemas are going into administration.
I was there before COVID many times and nothing changed. It's really extremely annoying that lights are on all the time... security lights? How many lights do you need for this? It was like a damn Christmas tree. No wonder their movie theaters are empty and besides, it's very cold there.
Superstar Lisa ! We ended up at the Kingston cinema in error having booked at Epsom. Luckily the same movie was on show so whilst our previously booked tickets couldn't be used Lisa was exceptional and sorted Monday evening tickets. Fantastic customer service.
I like a movie night out at Odeon. IMAX is great. Buying tickets are so easy. One can but tickets and pop corn from the same counter at the same time. One should arrive there shortly before the movie starts as there are no seats in the waiting area to sit.
Good place to watch films with friends. The lux recliner is not needed as most of the time there are plenty of empty seats in the IMAX screens. The price for snacks and refreshments are a bit pricey but the popcorns are freshly made so it is worth it.
First visit here in a while. Thought the prices for essentially self-serve soft drinks were arguably taking the fizz. Bizarrely also got directed by staff to the wrong screen. Film was Good though - large screen, comfy seats and great sound
Today I went to try out screen 15 at Odeon Kingston, the seating and screen were both amazing, however, a young man named Nicholas made my experience fantastic. Lovely cinema, with staff even more impressive than their screens!
Went to see Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. Film amazing. Sat in screen 15 with Recliner chair-made such a difference to be able to sit back and put feet up! Luxury seats and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!
Good location, staff helpful. Can buy tickets and refreshments at counter or self service screens. Nice to have booster cushions available for children. Toilets clean and plenty of stalls.
Staff are great but all Odeons seem to be falling apart. Dirty and not well maintained. Much prefer independent cinemas although you do have to sacrifice the screen and sound quality..
Came to the regular screenings here because our local Light cinema was fully booked and… meh - seats are okay, cleanliness is adequate but “just OK” is all I can really say.
Haven't been for ages, and was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to book from the web page. Looks like lots of amazing films coming up to look forward to as well …
Nathan is quite frankly a legend. He is always friendly and courteous. His effervescent personality lights up the food counter in The Odeon. Give that man a promotion.
Clean, comfortable seating. Friendly and helpful staff. Really easy location to get to. There's a real Costa inside which is a plus for getting through long films.
These guy cut scenes don't turn the light off and the sound is too low. My little cousin was not happy I had to calm her down (future pro UFC contender).
Generally very good. One screen recently had started to feel a bit worn and tired, but it looks like they are revamping the screens one by one
This is a very modern and comfortable cinema with a very friendly and helpful staff. I've always enjoyed going here to see movies.
They got 16 screens with many movie options at once. Maybe the screen could've been bigger but overall it's a nice cinema hall.
Theatre seats can be improved. Long queue for ordering food at the counter. Sounding is good in screens.
Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable seats plenty of room.....brilliant film.
