Yesterday I went into the store to order food to be told I can’t order fries or calamari?! So I asked why and he said the fryer needed to be cleaned… and they were in the middle of doing so so I couldn’t order what I wanted. So I checked the time and it was only 8:50pm; I asked him when they closed and he said 10pm... so I asked why they were doing the fryers an hour and ten minutes before close… since I work in a kitchen and know it takes maybe 20mins max! He replied: “the other one is broken” that doesn’t even make any sense! That’s exactly why you should wait till last minute to clean the only fryer working! You’re still open! needless to say my partner and I left… we were going to order a lot of food. Shame… and after reading other comments I will not be supporting this location anymore.

I usually go out of my way to go to this Opa because the food was better and the usual lady was great. Today I placed my order that I have been ordering for 13 years across at the very least DOZENS of other Opas and they tried to charge me $1.50 to put a teaspoon of feta on my fries. Never happened once in my life at any Opa I have EVER gone to. There is plenty of other Opas to go to that aren’t rip-off artists and I will NEVER go back to this one again. Congratulations! Your competition isn’t just the other businesses around you, it’s your other locations as well. Standardize your practices in your franchises or you will lose out to other locations. Looking back, the food itself started to go downhill here recently anyways. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I went into the Opa Westhills location a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it was not a great experience. I walked into the restaurant and there was no one at the front counter after a couple of minutes an elderly lady walked out. After taking my order I asked her for a copy of my receipt, she then proceeded to yell at me saying something along the lines of "everyone just wants wants" and "all you kids just want this and want that". I'm sorry but it is my right as a customer to have a copy of my receipt and if you find this simple request unreasonable you should not be working around people. I really hope someone from this Opa location reads this, so other customers won't be yelled at after asking for a receipt.

I went to the west hills opa location and ordered the pita wrap meal. I was offered fries with my meal and I said yes, as soon as I said it he said they didn't have fries or calamari. It was a half hour before closing and the two employees were already shutting everything down. This is the second location I stopped at in order to eat. The first location said it was open until 10pm however when I arrived it was closed, the time was 9pm. I'm super disappointed with the level of service as I was really looking forward to Greek food. You need to update your times on google as well as have all the menu items available when a customer comes in to order.

Wow. Great job Opa at kicking out a young mother in your store last night with 2 little babies. She was trying her best to get them sorted out and was asked to leave. She was a paying customer and had to stand out in very cold weather with her babies because you deemed a crying baby a “disturbance”. Families (or everyone) - avoid this place. I will be making sure I share this on all the mom groups. I checked in with the Mom and she was humiliated and crying. You will never again see my business and I will be sharing this with everyone I can.

Usually love opa, this one is a disaster.. hours on Google are listed incorrectly so don’t go there at 8:50 (10 min before they apparently close which should mean they are still open) Cold fries??? I’ve never been served not fresh fries until I came here.. Want your toppings in the centre of your wrap and not equally distributed? Stop by this opa Want your sauce half full and then request another one and get charged for ANOTHER half full sauce? Yikes.. lol this has to be the worst opa franchise YYC Has ever seen UPDATE: They have stepped up their game for sure

I go here often and never have had an issue. However, on Sunday night I arrived at 8:30 pm for diner after a hockey game. Place was super busy, prior to my order and people still coming in after I ordered. The first thing we were greeted with was there are no fries or calamari as the fryer has been shut down for the night. Some people stayed, some people left. Why when you are in a "fast food" business would you shut the fryer down earlier in Westhills? There are so many small fast food business competing in that area? Food was awesome as always.

This location at Westhills in Calgary was good 4 years ago when they first opened. But now it’s hit and miss at best. I ordered a Santorini salad and it was 90% chick peas. Very little tomatoes, and anything else. Protein always dry. No warm and fuzzy feeling here when you come in or leave. I don’t recommend this location. Also, the points in the rewards program expire after one year. That’s a rip off!

Today we were disappointed with our Opa Order. We love Opa, and we order it often. Our order today was far from the regular quality. My husband didn’t get his Diet Pepsi, warm gyro meat was covering his ‘cold’ Greek salad that barely had any dressing on it and the lamb skewer was cold. My cold chicken pita wrap had no jalapeños (my favourite thing in my pita), barely any tzatziki sauce in it, big chunks of tomato (usually it’s small little cubes). We were let down by Opa today. NOT KID FRIENDLY!!! Witnessed horrible customer service towards a woman and her two very young children at this location. Woman was asked to leave because her kids were crying and according to the employee they were deemed a disturbance to the other customers. Will NEVER visit this Opa again and will recommend to anyone I know to not spend their hard earned money here either. Would have given zero stars but goggle will not allow it.

Honestly, I had to ask their names because I wanted to THANK them publicly!! Raymond was welcoming and kind as he was training a new (also very friendly) employee!! Kamal made our food and he was very good at what he does! Food was fresh and delicious! The restaurant and bathrooms were very nice and clean!! THANK YOU!! We always look forward to coming to this location!!

The team here is delightful! I was too impatient to wait in the line at A&W so I figured I would try it as I saw they had a falafel option for vegetarians. I got a spanikopita which was super tasty and a falafel which was also delicious. The team was super engaged with the customers and the lady running it was a gem. Cheap and varied menu with healthy options compared to other fast food restaurants. I will think of them first next time instead of last!

The old woman whom served me was SO rude. I cannot believe it. She argued with me about the meat, and made a bogus "health code" up to simply hide the fact the gyro was precooked and being reheated. ive been to many opa where its fresh! I was in the food industry and there is no such code she mentioned... foodwise, it tasted okay, the chicken was good, steak was horrible , fries and dip nice. This place needs a tuneup from headoffice.

Walk in at 8:40 pm on a Monday evening for food and told the fryer is off and we can't get fries or calamari. Google says you close at 10. They said closing at 9. Why would you turn the fryer off and turn customers away? I've owned a restaurant before. Fryer is the easiest piece of equipment to keep going. Extremely dissatisfied. The economy must be great in Calgary to keep up that kind of service.

Fine place, pretty small which isn't bad, we'll say quaint. No recycling so everything off to the landfill. Tasty food and somewhat filling but also pricey; it's not a restaurant. Had my beef not been 30% gristle I'd give it 4 stars. Staff is nice a quick, great job there. I'll try again one day, still beats burger and fries when you want something quick that won't feel like a brick in your belly.

Our experience at this location hit an all time low today. I left a glowing review a couple months ago after having one of the best fast food meals of my life, but since then the quality has continually dropped. Today our wrap was lukewarm and barely filled, and was completely soggy from the Greek salad juices. We picked up and ate the food within 10 minutes, as usual. Very disappointing.

I went there on Monday at 08.30 pm Was told that they already closed the deep fryer because they close at 9 on Monday! I asked them if I go to a different location will they be open because I know really well that they close at 10, they said no! All opa locations close at 9 Sundays and Mondays This is not professional at all! Which is mot true, they were supposed to close at 10

Food is normally pretty good here but I give 3 stars due to skimpy portion size on busy days, at least at this location. I don’t know if it’s just me, but every time I come on a busy day here they cut way back on portion size but if I go when it’s not overly busy then it’s decent. If I am paying the same amount of money every time then I expect consistency.

Friendly staff who are accommodating. Fresh salads and nice skewers. I often go to these guys when I’m low on macro and have never disappointed me so far.

UPDATE: Kudos to the people at Opa for fixing this. They took care of the issue. The food is good but it’s 9:49 and the door is locked. Why have a sign that your open until 10 if your doors are locked at 9:49. Also, if you go late they never have any food. Not the first time. Owner and franchise should be very disappointed.

Never got tzatziki with my meal even when I do at other locations and it's on the menu board... besides that, the peppers were clearly frozen and thawed out making them translucent and soggy. Do better, it doesn't take much effort to provide fresh peppers. I would not return to this location. More

I always loved Opa food from any location I had it. But sadly, this one didn't make the mark for me and I won't be coming back. The chicken felt as if it was boiled, not grilled. The potatoes were way to salty and just boiled. The rice didn't have much flavor as the salad. Very disappointed.

please can you guys wash your lettuce..? got a pita and first piece of lettuce on there had TWO dead bugs. fries were good but i didn’t eat my wrap after that….

The service & food here was great! The staff was very friendly and definitely went the extra mile. My sister asked if they could do greek salad without the onions and even though it was already mixed, they pulled the onions out for her! I will absolutely be returning here - thanks guys!

This location has been excellent for me I hope all other Opa locations are as good. Just had a meal here with my son and I couldn’t say it better than my 9 year old. “The food on plate actually looks like in the pictures “ he said . Wow even kids can see and taste quality!!!

Food was on point But the two boys that were working there... They were the sweetest ever! Very helpful and kind. Extremely pleased with the experience. Only complaint is that they should add tip option on the card machine for these well deserving guys!

This was the slowest and most disorganized experience I've had at OPA ever!!!. It took them more than 25 min to get our order out and the table next to us order took longer. They appeared disorganized flustered and without any leader ship.

Poor service the food looked like a mess the container marked chicken and lamb and shrimp all mixed up the cashier couldn't ring in order properly terrible not impressed I will not go back to that location very bad experience

This Opa is the best Opa in the city the staff are great and the food is always made exactly how you like it the taste and quality are better than most sit down restaurants. A restaurant worth your time and money.

While I do really like Opa, this place is just OK. It is quite inconsistent in quality, with the wraps being full sometimes or rather sparse others. Last few times the fries have been soggy. Overall it's just OK.

Just did pick up. Everything is cold. Shorted me 2 fries and Calamari. Hard to describe how cold everything is. Very disappointing

Tziki sauce not distributed evenly along wrap. Dollop at the top is all. My ceaser salad had maybe a third of the sauce it should've.
