My GF took in my bike to fix a broke spike on my rear tire. When we went to pick it up we were handed just my rim and tires they failed to put my cassette back on. I was understanding at just wanted it fixed, first they said it came like that. I argued and said no this is your mistake please fix, they finally agreed that it was their mistake.......then the meltdown happened. I was waiting for the repair but it in could tell that they had no idea what my cassette looked like or where it could be. I had to pull up a picture to confirm the specs (lucky I had one). The lead mechanic was having the hardest time finding my parts, was cursing under his breath and slamming parts. Then he kinda just stood still and what seemed to me like a nervous breakdown. Look I get it, things happen and get lost just fix the issue or reimburse me......OR tell me to come back at a later time. Eventually the owner noticed the lead mechanic stressing out and told us he will call. We had to follow up a few times for about a week to get my wheel back complete. What's sad is that it still had missing parts, my axle was lost and they just slapped a random one they probably had laying around. I was done dealing with the incompetence and decided to just cut my losses and move on. If looking for a real bike shop try Bike Mart by White Rock or Red Star in deep ellum. BEWARE this place for any repairs.

I came to Bike Synergy after being told by a high-end repair shop that my steel-framed single speed w/ flip-flop hub (needing a tube replacement) was no longer worth repairing. For nearly 6 months I put off selling my ‘broken bike’, too sentimental to get rid of it, until eventually I was encouraged to get a second opinion at bike synergy. The experience was drastically different than my time at the ‘high-end’ bike shop. Jorge treated me with so much respect, and showed genuine care when listening to my concerns with my bike. He reassured me that the frame was still usable and the bike was worth repairing. He recommended we do a full tune up, true my tires and replace the problem tube. I agreed and added new pedals. I couldn’t be happier with the results. The bike feels the most responsive it’s ever felt. The brake is no longer spongy, the chain feels tight, and the new tube really helps with not running a flat haha I will most definitely be bringing this bike and any bike I own to Bike Synergy. Bike Synergy, Thank y’all so much for your time. Your kindness means more than this review could ever express.

Do NOT go to Oak Cliff Bike Synergy. I've had a few repairs and services done there. EVERY time, he said it would be a week and kept the bike over 2 months. This last one specifically, I literally rode in my $1500 eBike to his shop, asked for him to do a tire replacement and full inspection. After a dozen delays, I go to pick up the bike and it's completely dead. Not only did he not notice it, after he tinkered with it, he just said "it died, it's not our fault". It's insane. I called the manufacturer, they concurred that this is a common issue with bike repair shops that don't know what their doing. After I took the bike away and had an expert look at it, he sent me this photo (see attached) where Jorge and his team had severed the wires powering the motor. When I showed these to Jorge, he continued to deny it completely and refused to take any responsibility. Now we're having to settle this in small claims. I'm not happy to do this, because I prefer to support local businesses and I live in Oak Cliff, but this is an awful shop, with a dishonest owner. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

I brought Jorge a beautiful Bianchi bike to sell on consignment. I told him I wouldn’t take less than $1,700 - that it was worth more than that to me. He called and said he might have an offer for $1,200 - I told him no way and I’d come get it if he didn’t want to sell it for what I wanted. Then I called a couple weeks ago and he said he sold it, but couldn’t remember the details. I spoke to him several times and he still couldn’t remember the details. Finally I went in and he tells me he sold it for $700. Months and months before. He didn’t call me to pay me - it took me going in to get him to do anything. Jorge knew where I lived - it was just down the street from his house and he had my number in his records. I was really upset - he said it was his mistake but he couldn’t do anything about it and he offered me an additional $300 (total of $1,000) for the bike that was worth much more than that to me. Then he backed out on that deal and now he won’t pay me anything.

They sold me an already purchased bike. I drove 40 minutes after them telling me it was ready for me to come buy and pick up. I had been up there a month earlier to check it out and they were still getting it handed over from the previous owner. I paid for it there but couldn't pick up it up because I was told the mechanic walked out in the middle of working on it. So I would come up the next day after calling to pick it up. Found out that night through text messages from the owner, who was frustrated with ME for buying it! I was very excited about this bike and was only finding out what was going on. I had taken a picture of the receipt and agreed to get reimbursed. I had to call because they FORGOT to reimburse me, much like they forgot they sold me a sold bike. I have to call again, as they still have failed to return my money for their disorganization and poor customer service.

Love this place! They've earned my loyalty! Been looking for a local shop since moving to Dallas since 2021, and I found it! Great bike techs who know their stuff! Much better than the big box bike shops around here, i.e REI. Honest owner and staff, fair prices, and great community connections! The shop offers everything you'd need as a recreational cyclist, and it's fairly sufficient for the competitive rider looking for a local shop with reliable bike techs who know the sport/discipline of road and mountain biking. You won't find an assortment of spandex all over the shop, but they offer the essential riding gear/apparel needs. P.S. Nothing I love more than bike techs who ride with the community! Catch these guys at local group rides at Oak Cliff Nature Preserve and other local DORBA trails!

I am very thankful to have found Oak Cliff Bike Synergy. They were considerate to my plight, that I had to rent a vehicle to get my adult tricycle to the shop. They serviced my bike while I waited. Another shop had done some shoddy work that they had to correct. Jorge explained the problem and did the work quickly. The prices were reasonable. When I left the shop, I was ready to roll! I have a new bike shop.

The owners and crew at this new bike shop are doing everything right! The customer service is top notch and the head mechanic Jorge Samana is very knowledgeable and 1st class. I brought my broken bike in on a Saturday morning with a broken derauiler and he had it fixed within the hour. Prices are fair and the bike shop has a great vibe in this cool old building at Tyler Station.

I'm glad I found this local bike shop! I was looking for an ebike. They had several, and they let me ride one of theirs. They didn't have the one I wanted in stock, but knew exactly what to recommend from a local manufacturer and get it for me extremely promptly. It is a little more expensive than the Lectric bike, but half the price of the low end of other shops.

  • Isidro Delcampo

Looked this place up online after trying to fix my horribly squeaky brakes and gave it a try. Time we walked in we were immediately greeted and they started work on my bike. They had my problem fixed and out the door within 30 mins. Price was way less than i had imagined. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family!

Brought a used fat-tire bike in. Took them awhile to get to it, but they allowed to get a specialty part they couldn't get ahold of due to Covid. They took their time and got it right. Advised me all I needed to know as far as the bike. Good prices. Nice staff. Cool atmosphere. I will bring my bikes here anytime.

Family friendly folks that offer bicycle service and maintenance, how to ride clinics, Sunday Family Fun Rides that includes playing at a park, and themed rides. Jonathan leads the rides using a megaphone, and the pace is very social. I look forward to visiting and participating in the group rides monthly.

I had an amazing experience with Jorge. He was very honest and offered me a cheaper solution than spending $60+ dollars on a new wheel. I was told to buy a brand new wheel at other places and he was the only shop to offer to repair it to help me out. Go check him out the vibe is awesome at his store.

Needed some chain links in a pinch and found Oak Cliff Bike Synergy while passing through. Owner was super nice and obviously knowledgeable. I could tell the shop was well equipped for both big and small repairs. I wish I was a regular in the neighborhood. This store definitely puts out good vibes.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this bike shop. Jorge is amazing, knowledgeable, friendly & a gem of a human being. The other guys there are as well. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase & giving my hard earned money to them. They have a loyal customer for as long as I reside in Dallas.

George and Robert are top notch gentlemen that provide services that I have not seen anywhere else. They provide complete and unfiltered explanation on what the diagnosis is for your bike and the options. In addition, it is the most inviting and comforting vibe of a shop.

  • Rebecca Little

Jorge’s shop is wonderful. He is kind and warm and never patronizing. I am so grateful to have Oak Cliff Bike Synergy right around the corner, though I’d gladly drive across the city for them! It is rare to find a bike shop that makes you feel so welcome.

Went to get an old bike repaired from a garage sale. The staff was EXTREMELY nice, the prices were fair, they were very knowledgeable, & they fixed it within 30 minutes while I waited. I highly recommend this establishment for all your bicycle needs.

  • H T

I went in to get a tune-up on my bike I came out with a popped front tire because they put too much air and try to blame me that I ran over at nail. The reason why I know they put to much air is because my back tire was like a rock.
