Dr. Thies has been my dog's vet for two years, since we moved to the area. He has given her all of her vaccinations in the past two years. This time, after I told him at length about how in her old age she has been nipping at some people and asking whether she should be medicated for anxiety, and after he palpated all her legs, belly, and head and had used his stethoscope and examined her eyes, he went to give her the bordatella vaccine by mouth and she got startled/afraid and nipped at him. Then as he proceeded to upbraid me and blame me and refuse further treatment to her, she stood there completely calmly. I don't know if she actually hurt him in any way, but I certainly saw no signs of blood. It's not like she's a bloodthirsty attack dog. He told me I should have warned him (wasn't I just telling all about how she'd been nipping people?) and that I should have muzzled her (he's been her vet for two years and never told me that before, but now I somehow should have known that and it was completely unforgivable that I didn't?). Anyway, his exact words were "You are dismissed," before declaring that I should have warned or told him and that I should have muzzled her. His vet tech told me when I was trying to pay in confusion and tears that they have muzzles there. Why didn't he muzzle her and continue vaccinating her? How can a vet not expect that an animal, especially a geriatric dog who he's just been told had nipped some people, might react in fear to having their mouth grabbed? It makes no sense that an experienced vet would be unable to deal with this. You get the sense that this guy has academic knowledge but is ill suited to work with the public or any animal that is not at all times completely submissive to all humans. He should be a lab researcher, not a veterinarian.

Terrible terrible service. I cannot emphasize this enough but do not bring your pet here. My family and I had a terrible experience and mostly due to Dr Ravinder Brar. Also Tuga or Toga which is a receptionist that was very rude. Dr Brar shows no empathy towards the pets he sees which is fine but not when it leads to him handling them as if they do not feel pain and then complaining that they try to bite him. I took my dog here for a laceration and was told that it would be taken care of. It was not, the stitches were not done properly as they came undone extremely easily. After the fact I called and was told by Tuga or Yuga to bring her in but that there was no discount they could provide despite it being their fault for the failure of the procedure. After a long while of complaining, her saying I said things that i did not and asking to speak to the doctor she said she would be able to do 350 for the restitching. So I brought her in to see the doctor and was met by rudeness on his part. He tried to tell me that the procedure not working was not his fault but ours. After another long while of complaining to him he said that even if they did the procedure he could not give us any discount and it would be 900 dollars with no type of guarantee of it working. Not only was that not the price agreed upon over the phone but it was an immense amount for something that he wasn't even sure would work despite the failure being his fault. All in all he ended with giving me antibiotics and saying it probably won't heal at home and rushing me out because he "had things to do". Would not ever return to this place and I suggest, if you care about your pets that you do not either.

Since becoming new patients in January, I have the most respect and love for everyone there! I will only take my fur babies to you! Your staff and Drs are wonderful, loving and so caring! We had a very sick baby in January and no other clinic would see us soon enough! Oak grove and Dr Bell took us in right away without being patients first! The love they gave when the time came to let our baby go to heaven was amazing and with all my heart so appreciated ❤️ They knew and understood how much I loved her and how much it broke my soul to let her go. They took the best care of not only her but me as well. (Not knowing until later that they reversed the charge of her services , I couldn’t believe that!!! AmaZING) I have since stayed here in Clarksville and have taken our other two babies here, I will not go anywhere else for the rest of the time I’m here! Just a few days ago I had an appointment and was running 30 minutes behind, they still took us! And was 100% the same amazing! I absolutely love the staff and Drs!!! I will forever be greatful for everything they do not just for your babies but for you when this pandemic is over! I will be hugging each and every one of them!

My boyfriend took his cat to this place they charged $50 to look at her and an additional $225 for 3 x-rays. The "vet" Brar was guessing it could be a miscarriage however she's an indoor cat so that's not possible. My boyfriend suggested it could be a mouse and he then led into that direction saying oh that could possibly be it. Because they were closing, he seemed so concerned with getting off work on time instead of helping the cat. Brar didn't see the cats extreme diarrhea as a emergency as their website state diarrhea is considered emergency. When my boyfriend asked if he could be referred to another hospital, Brar claimed "we could refer you somewhere but that's going to be your homework on where she goes next" We then took the cat to another vet where they claimed the x-rays Brar took were not of good quality and needed to do more x-rays. When I called the next day trying to figure out what he could do about the unreadable x-rays I got laughed at and told "have the doctor contact me you wouldn't understand the medical terms" Extremely unprofessional practice, if you care about your pets like family I suggest going to a place with more compassion.

My older dog has been experiencing incontinence issues and trouble with her back legs. The initial visit went well except for the fact that a few days later we found that my dog had fleas. She’s an indoor dog and is not in contact with other dogs. The ONLY way she could have gotten fleas was from this hospital. We had to pay for an emergency flea treatment (like I said, indoor dog) and upon informing the hospital about this, they made up all these excuses and refused to pay for the treatment. Because of COVID, we weren’t allowed in the facility and couldn’t see how cleanly the facility was or if she was in a room by herself or other dogs, etc. We were extremely unhappy with how unprofessional and rude the staff were. I’m sorry, but taking your pet to the bet should not give them fleas. This is absolutely ridiculous. We will not be back to this vet and suggest that you go to any number of incredible (and clean) animal hospitals in the are.

Given the circumstances of the pandemic, clients are currently unable to accompany their pets inside the clinic for appointments. This action is taken to protect the health of clients and clinic staff. I greatly appreciate the concern demonstrated by the staff of Oak Grove Animal Hospital. In lieu of client physical presence, the examining doctor places a call to the client at the conclusion of the appointment, explains the results of the exam or treatment, offers any suggestions they may have for the health maintenance of the animal, and answers any questions raised by the client. This is truly a most professional and caring staff across the board. I cannot recommend their clinic to persons and pets requiring veterinary services.

We have known Dr Thies for over 20 years. He has been our vet and cared for our cats through very challenging conditions in sickness and maintaining good health in old age. Every time we have called with an emergent need he has always been there. His kind, understanding and ability to communicate what is going on in a very passionate way has always given us confidence in his diagnosis and prognosis in every visit. The office staff has always given us support and care in making certain everything went as well. They are always professional. We appreciate the follow up from Dr Theis and staff. They really care about how you and your pet are treated. Thanks.

We took our dog here to be neutered and the surgery itself went well. The reason for the 3 rating is the front desk staff. One employee gave me terrible attitude when I asked to speak to the vet. Also, I had called and asked if they had a second cone for my dog, since he destroyed his first, and they said yes. When I got there, after a 20 minute drive, they did not have one after all. They were not sympathetic about us driving all the way there either. Lastly, we called and left a voicemail because our dogs surgery site had a rash. They never returned our call. I would not return to this vet.

We took both our cats here when they were having issues eating. Turns out they had teeth that were being eaten away because of some bacteria or something on their teeth combined with the plastic of their dishes! He was able to remove the bad teeth and save the good ones, and gave us a few things to do to help, and within a week both were much much happier. He was very gentle with them, and did free followups to make sure everything was going well. He also didnt try to tack on a bunch of unnecessary stuff as I have had happen other places. I would highly recommend him.

Great Veterinarian! Genuinely caring veterinary technicians and receptionist! Our dog was up all night coughing and we called first thing in the morning to see if an appointment was available. They were booked solid, but asked about our dog's symptoms. Explained about the "hacky" soundinh cough and they said bring him in. They managed to squeeze him in that morning, and so thankful they did because he'd contracted "kennel cough"! The rate for the office visit was very reasonable, and included the cost of the medications

I want to say that I was very pleased with the response time and care that Oak Grove Vet gave my dog Spirit. He has been suffering from a ear infection for several months under the care of Bloom animal hospital that took my money said they took care of the issue and never did. I ask for his ears to be flushed and Oak Grove Vet did exactly what needed to be done. They worked with me and hopefully he won't need anymore care for his ears. The staff was so kind and sweet. I have a new place to bring my furboy.

First time here had to get both my kittens 8 month old male/3 month old female.neutered/sprayed. Prices was a lot better than other clinics. Lady was nice and was able to get the job done on time while my schedual was really tight. They also offerer micro chip and registration service as to where the local shelter isnt due to the pandemic. 500$ for getting them both fixed along with the cones , antibiotics, and pain meds. Other vets was going to charge me 400-750 per cat.

First time here with my cheagle for spay. Had spoken to Dr. Brar on phone prior to spay appointment. Lady at front desk was super sweet, and explained estimated billing. Had her nails trimmed as well, at no cost. Sent home with a week's worth of pain killers, and anti-inflammatory meds. It's been more than a week now, and my little doggie has healed very nicely, not needing the painkillers very shortly after. The stitches are not visible. A testament to Dr. Brar's skill.

I have been taking my dogs to the veterinarian and recommend them, Ashley who is one of the workers is nothing but helpful and great when it comes to customer service, the doctor their listens to his customers and provides the best care possible. I had a tiny female yorkie who was practically dying I took her to him and together his his advice and my own recommendations my puppy survived. I referred my own family to this vet because they do a really good job!!

Dr. Brar and the staff provided excellent care for my senior dog her last few years of life. Her original vet retired and they brought her on at the beginning of COVID, when other vets were only willing to attend to their current patients. Several years ago she was diagnosed with Vestibular Disease and he was very straight forward reasonable and honest about her treatment. I've felt heard and understood with regards to my dog's health care. Thank you!

Our cat got into a fight with a stray in the neighborhood and lost badly, but didn't need ER help. We needed a Vet to patch up our 14 year Tux cat two days before Thanksgiving. I called 15 Vet offices and the earliest appointment I could get was almost a week out, until I called Oak Grove Vet. They were able to get us in the next day and gave our pet great care at a reasonable price. We will go back again, I would recommend them.

Naturally, I have know Katie for some years, there isn’t a more caring and selfless person in the world. She is reasonable and driven to do good things and she will NOT allow disagreement go without mention. When you need a professional you want someone who will not default to “the customer is always right”. Go to someone who cares and will take charge without concession - that is Katie.

We have used Oak Grove and Drs. Bell, Turner, and Mitchell for the past four years. I cannot recommend anyone better. Dr. Bell is our normal vet, but she is in high demand. She is competent, thorough, patient with my questions, and always receptive to listen. I have sent several people their way and will continue to do so in the future. The front desk staff and vet techs are amazing.

Called in because my dog had puppies and I was afraid she had some left inside and labor had stalled. The got me right in for x-rays! Checked her over for me and even double check something suspicious. Everything was good and she had no puppies left but I really appreciate the quickness and ability to go above and beyond. I brought my 7 month old dog to the Oak Grove Veterinary Hospital scared. My dog wasnt eating or drinking. I was told my dog had Parvo, I was charged $340 for them to administrator water! I explained my financial situation and they refused to give me the "necessary" medication until I paid them all the $. Later to find out my dog didnt have Parvo

I took my kitten to have an eye discomfort checked, the doctor checked it and it was seen that it had something inside, they took my cat and when they gave it to me they AFFIRMED THAT THEY HAD REMOVED THE OBJECT, when I got home I checked her eye and I realized that it was still with that. Don't waste your money with them.

Very nice and accommodating. Our usual vet was booked so we went to Oak Grove based on a referral from a neighbor. Despite not being a "regular" patient of theirs, we felt very welcomed and taken care of...even more so than our usual vet. Probably going to switch over based on their hospitality and respectable costs.

I noticed my dog had blood in her urine and I called them as a new client and they fit me in last minute so my dog could be seen right away. They were super friendly and as quick as they could be for letting me be seen without an appointment. I’ll definitely be bringing my pets back for further vetting!

Absolutely amazing team at Oak Grove. I called and spoke with the vet who offered me two appointment times for a same-day appointment for my dog. The entire team was very helpful, caring and efficient and I was in and out in 30 minutes. The prices were very reasonable and the facility was spotless.

I am so impressed by the care given to my 15 year old Lhasa by Dr.Brar, Ashley and Kate during his dental cleaning, extractions, and removal of a lip growth. He is fine and now without pain. Price and service unbeatable. Will change my current vet to Oak Grove.

I love the set up Oak Grove Veterinary Hospital has currently during these unforeseen and unwanted COVID-19 times. Great Job guys. In the future offer that option. Especially for some people with cat allergies. I love how you all take care of all pets

My cat ended up going blind because they have no idea what they are doing. Do not communicate to tell you what's wrong. They referred me to a specialist for $800 instead of seeing my cat and giving him and $40 injection for worms. The staff is trash

They always took such great care of our Maltepooh Peetybug til she passed and now are providing that same great service for our Bunnies. We can't say enough good stuff about this Veterinary Hospital. They are all so caring and compassionate.

Took my pittie to get his teeth cleaned before the pandemic and Dr. Brar and Ashley said he was a fantastic patient. Everyone made him feel so relaxed and comfortable. He loves people but tends to cry around other animals, but he didn't

They don't deserve a bad review. The staff is awesome. Wish I had insurance but they are working with me. I wish the results would come in faster so they could treat my poor pup. On Monday depending I will give a more thorough review.

Our dog was vomiting blood. We were able to have him seen that day. The vet examined him and gave us an itemized list for a course of action to treat and diagnose the issue.

My pet had an allergic reaction to fleas, had bad sores on him. Dr gave him 2 shots and different flea meds. Fixed him right up!
