I started going to Oasis 3 years ago and now I am an Oasis addict! I remember the first time I met Dustin he had this big smile, like he was so happy to see me, and I thought to myself, there's a friendly young guy and then I found out he was the pastor ! The following week he said "Hey Rob hows it going ? Great to have ya back" and I instantly felt right at home. Everyone there treats you like family. The services are upbeat, the messages are wonderful, there is laughter, great music, coffee and treats, videos on the big screen, its a real live performance. The lights are turned right down when you walk in and you can sit at a table in the back or grab a seat anywhere. Its like a room full of people who dont know each other but it seems like everyone has known each other for years. If you've been thinking about going to Oasis but are shy or nervous, then this place truly was designed for you. Don't wait any longer, come join the fun. By the way, I am a member of the tear down team since about my 5th visit and stay approx 90 min after every service to help out, purely because I absolutely love it. I did not grow up going to Church and am only sorry I waited 40 years to go. Oasis gave me what I had been missing in my life. From what I hear there is no other place like it.

I adore Oasis, I just can't say enough great things about the church. Although services are in a school, the minute you walk inside, you forget you're not in a typical church building -- and you're totally enveloped by the wonderful people and the awesome setup of the stage, lights, and video screens. The production staff does an amazing job making each service dynamic and interesting. The music is another piece that drew me in instantly when I first discovered Oasis. Modern, current, live music performed by members of the community is such a plus. Wesley Weiss and the music team are all so talented, they put so much heart and soul into every single song they sing, week after week. It's one of my favourite parts of the service! But most importantly, let's not forget about Pastor Dustin Funk -- his easy-going, down-to-earth manner makes each Sunday's message entertaining and enlightening. I always leave feeling renewed in my faith journey and re-inspired to live a Godly life!

People greet you in the parking lot, they greet you in the hallways and again as you walk into the auditorium. These are people who are genuinely happy to see you and their warmth is undeniable. The music makes you feel like you're at a Hillsong concert. Sometimes you even feel like you're at a rock concert. The Pastor delivers a message that's applicable to everyday life, easy to understand, yet with a depth that makes you want to dig even deeper. Weekly life groups provide support, friendship and the opportunity to talk about the message from the previous Sunday. This is a Church for "everyone"!

Love this church so much. It stole my heart at my first visit! The production team does an amazing job, the music and music talent are unreal. All of the senior pastoral team do a great job at relating every sermon to regular life and teach how to imement the lessons into your life. Our kids attend Waumba Land, 2 and 3 years old and they love it there. Took a few weeks for them to be comfortable going on their own but now they run into the room and barely say goodbye. Love seeing the crafts they bring home and hearing them sing songs they learn on Sundays. Definitely has become our home church!

Dustin . Lauren. Wes and the rest of the band and leadership of this church are nothing short of amazing. It has helped my 2 sons and i get thru a very tough time in life after a divorce. We were totally caught off guard when it took place about 5 years ago. The Oasis church and members have shown us that we can trust again.. The prayer thru music is something we love as are the weekly subject matters that embrace lifes changing matters along the way. Top notch people serving in a professional way. Myself and my sons are giving back ti our community in a special way as a result.. Rob

We have been attending Oasis Community Church for about 5 years now. We immediately felt welcomed the first time we came and each week thereafter. It is such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There is a fantastic worship team with great music and the message always hits home and I can take something away that I can apply to my life. The message is easy to understand and something everyone can relate to whether you are Christian or not. If you are exploring or curious, this is a great place to start. If you are looking for a new church home, this is it. See you there!

At the suggestion of a few friends my wife and I came to Oasis when we were looking for a home church in Winnipeg. At first it may feel like you've walked into a promotional product launch with music, lighting, video, other media, and charismatic speaking. Oasis church is in fact promoting authentic Christianity and doing so in a relevant way that is less intimidating to the non or new believer than other more traditional churches. The environment and people are inviting and getting involved beyond the Sunday service is made easy.

I was invited to Oasis by a friend after having some very poor experiences with organized religion. I had a been an atheist for around 15 years, but saw something different about one of my Christian friends that sparked an interest. I started reading the Bible, and went to a couple of the young adult events to meet Christian people in a non-church-y environment. I made a few friends, agreed to check out Oasis, and LOVED it. I've never left. I now volunteer at the church and am a dedicated Christian!

VERY friendly and warm. A great place for families, singles or couples of all ages. My husband and I are in our mid 20's and have been attending for two years since moving here from Toronto. After feeling welcomed and connected every week, we have made Oasis our permanent home. Life groups (weekly small groups) and volunteering got us connected and made us feel part of the church community so quickly. We could not have imagined a more loving community of people.

My husband and I came out Oasis on Mother's Day 2009. We were made to feel so welcome that we decided we would come back again. We did a few weeks later, and we were welcomed by name.....wow they remembered us. As we settled here we felt very comfortable inviting unchurched friends to Sunday mornings. There was nothing in the service that would be embarrassing to me or my friends. It really is a great place......come check it out for yourself!

I love going to this Church. The music is upbeat kinda between older hymns and contemporary with a number of different singers and musicians in there worship team. They have a great team of Pastor's each with their own styles. I believe the Church has about 3000 worshippers with 2 services on Sunday morning. They are on the corner of Elmhurst and Wilkes. Try going there if you're looking for a place to worship you won't be sorry

  • Madeleine Sarah Olvera

I like loud worship, but here I didn't find that many people were really engaged with the music. Likely they were distracted by the fog machines and the colorful spotlights. It also felt like the message was delivered by someone who spent more time writing jokes than they did diving deep into what they were speaking about. Really friendly staff though, many people gave a genuine feeling hello.

We started going here a couple of years ago. We wanted something different from the super strict, regimented sermons. Oasis has a life and atmosphere that you won't find at any other church, and its addictive! The music is great, the people that attend are friendly and the folks that run it are always there for you. If you're looking for a change, come find us at Oasis!

  • Zoe

The church may be a great place to worship but it is a terrible neighbour. Despite asking the church leaders to turn the base music down they continue to disturb all the residents around with music several days a week with speakers pumping music out to everyone in the neighbourhood. play your music and enjoy your services but be a respectful of others in your actions.

I started going to Oasis a two ago after my brother and his wife invited me to join them one Sunday and I was impressed right from the start! Dustin's messages are always relevant in today's world and to my life and the music team is simply AWESOMEl! I would highly recommend checking out Oasis, even (or especially) if you are new to church!!
